The couple soon made their way downstairs.
Lucas was the main cook in the home. Brooke was more order take and pick up something from the cafe or something like that. Which was done twice a week.
Brooke checked in with her kids. Smiling warmly as she saw Beckett. And then Beverly in the kitchen.
"What's going on in the life of the young and hopeful.?" Brooke asked. As she sat down beside her youngest daughter.
"Some stupid dance coming up." Beverly replied.
"Really. Bev. We should go shopping or i can make you a dress."
"What do you think?" Brooke asked.
"I don't see the point. I'm not going so." Beverly replied.
"Why not?" Brooke asked.
"It's the winter formal. It's this fancy dance. Open to all the grades besides the older kids." Beverly explained.
Brooke smiled as she recalled the memory.
'I remember. I went with you're dad."
"Why don't you want to go.?" Brooke asked.
"No one has invited me so i would rather pretend like it wasn't happening." Beverly replied.
"I'm sure there is a boy who wants to ask you and is just nervous." Brooke replied.
"No that's not it. I'm not Scarlett. No one even knows i exist there besides my friends." Beverly stated matter of fact.
"That isn't true. You're very memorable." Brooke reassured her.
" chicken spaghetti casserole. With tater tots or garlic bread.?" Lucas asked.
"Have dinner without me. I'm headed out with friends." Scarlett anounced. As she came in from the backyard.
