"I'm home," said Marinette as she entered her house.
"Where have you been all night, I tried calling you several times!" said Sabine who stood in the kitchen. However, all of her anger instantly left as her daughter hugged her.
"Sorry mom, I was with some friends and ended up falling asleep at one of their places and my phone died," said Marinette.
"You… you made friends?" asked a surprised Sabine.
"I did, and I think you would love to meet them," said Marinette while smiling at her mother.
"Seeing how happy you are I can already tell they must be good people," said Sabine who could not help but smile too. At the same time tears formed in her eyes from how happy she felt for her daughter.
"They are, and I'm sorry for all the trouble I have caused you and dad, I realize now that I've been a major pain lately for you two," said Marinette.
"No matter what, Marinette, you are my daughter and I will always love you, and I will always be here if you need someone to talk to," said Sabine while using a napkin to wipe some tears which had begun to fall down her daughter's cheeks. That night up in Marinette's room.
"I'm proud of you, Marinette, not many people can do what you have," said Tikki.
"Fighting the darkness that takes over your heart is never an easy thing but you managed not only to fight it but turned it into your reason to make a difference," she said.
"Well I owe it to the other me," said Marinette.
"She… oh no," she said while a look of worry and fear came to her face at the thought of something.
"What's wrong?" asked Tikki.
"If Adrien and I are the same as our counterparts, then what if Gabriel is Hawkmoth over there?" asked Marinette.
"If so then that is a fight for them to do without our interference," said Tikki.
"You have a point, but I can only imagine what that reveal will be like," said Marinette before turning the lights off and going to sleep.
