Chapter Two: Eyes of Hatred

Four days after the fall within Ruby's subconscious*

The dream had lasted until eternity at this point, Ruby looked upon the water below as she walked over the murky surface, seeing her reflection, her twin. Who was joined at the step.

Each time they stepped she could feel there connection grow, but that just met her foot sunk a tad deeper into the water as they did.

Though they had not always walked, no instead they had looked upon their shared life, the good… and the lots of bad that they were blind to as children.

But with these new eyes Ruby had reflected, the cruel reality slowly bleeding into what she had considered her peaceful life.

She was a child surrounded by blood and yet always just thought it was spilled Paint. When she would ask, it wasn't without fail, Qrow, Tai or yang would lie, tell her it was nothing. Keeping the wool over her eyes, masking her from the cruelty around her.

Her friends back when she was a kid at single, she had always wondered where he went, guess now that was self explanatory, he was turned to good by a Grimm and yet Yang lied saying how he just grew up and moved on.

Ya He certainly moved on all right, to the afterlife that is.

Though now they arrived back when Ruby was five, this was the day Summer disappeared, where Ruby would get her true taste of darkness, looking at her twin who stood before the door she waited. And Ruby nodded as they went in.

They looked, it was as you expected, a young beaming girl with bright and childish wonder laughing and running around the wooden shack in the woods, surrounded by an aura of peace that would later come to weaken her when reality shattered. But this wasn't what she looked up on no no, Ruby stood beside a desk, it was her mother's, you see as the memory Ruby explored her mother's room the one within the waking dream looked around, as a teen she would often come into this room to ask her mother why she left, but now with her twin, and there eyes conjoined together, fueled by their newfound hatred saw things in a different light.

The painting her mother had hanging up over her own bed, that is what truly caught her attention, the red orb in the sky that shined on the world, like the Sharingan who burned its glow into Cinders eyes, she saw figures who she thought were heros fighting, and killing, and the others, the ones she saw as villains were no villains, those were victims.

"Why would mother have something like this?"

Reality cracked and Ruby was dragged into a different room, Tai's room. She looked at her Dark twin who was crouched at the side of the young girl.

"We were so blind back then."

"Ya." Looking at that innocent glow the heart shattered Ruby looked down and clenched her fist. "We were."

"Makes you sick, I know it does, because I feel sick."

"It does. We were lied too, tricked, and shunned away from our birth given truth. If I had known about this power I could have changed the outcome of the fall. If I where do have just-"

"Been shown the truth, all this could have changed."

"Exactly!" Ruby flung her hand out as she twisted like a typhoon to look at her twin. "Pyrrha died because I was weak! Because WE were weak. And it's ONLY! After I unlocked this power, I made ANY impact, then I came to learn that this strength, the one thing that could have helped my friends! Was kept from me! From US!"

"... You speak the truth." the twin looked at the young girl as she watched her eyes Go from that of a cheerful innocent story-driven child, to ones of hate, sorrow, regret, disgust, confusion, the list goes on. "We should have known."

"It's all just another great joke the universe, and the gods have put on us."

"A joke that's not funny."

"You can say that again."

The two watched the girl pick up her favorite toy, a silver dragon that she believed to be invincible as she ran around the room with it, holding it up as she sprinted out the room.

"Should we follow her?"

"No, I want to head back to moms room, something's not right about it."

"Yes I was wondering that myself."

Both girls turned back and walked as they came back into the deceased mothers room, they looked around as they glided their hands across the wooden table and chair wondering how long it had been since they came into this room. They wondered how much has changed.

But the past that stung worse than any knife or blade stab came to an end when they saw those strange scrolls her mother always had.

"Aren't those…"

"Ya, They have the same insignia as the one we found in Ozpin's office"

"You think those contain answers we need?"

"...maybe, our mother certainly had her secrets."

"Ya, she sure did, mom had a lot of them."

She saw her twin snicker at this.

"Tch, It's becoming a recurring thing."

Looking at the scroll Ruby could help but huff.

"Haa, ya, and I can't tell how far this hole goes down."

"Neither can I."

Both just sat in silence wondering what to do.

There were so many mysteries that they needed to have answered, revenge to plot, hell even a schedule to get stronger, They needed more power to make everything else fall in line and it was that idea of getting more power and caused the shadowborn twin to look upon her sister.

"Perhaps we should ignore the warning from that scroll. And embrace the power we have now."

"..." Ruby looked at her hand as she saw the scroll that had first told her about her new power, within. "But doesn't that power come with the price of our loved ones? And our descent into darkness?"

"... It does."

"So why would we embrace this? We desire revenge but we're still Huntresses are we not? Throwing all that away would undermine everything we've done up to this point."

"And what good has come from us trying to stay on the lines of a huntress? Thrown into a possession we never wanted, talked down upon by some snobby rich girl, made a joke by the other students of Beacon, lied to by everyone. Tricked into being something lesser? Always solving everyone else's problems but never caring about our own. And now suffering because of our naivety and weakness costing Pyrrha her life. What good has come from us being a Huntress? Expect 15 years of our life being a lie, a fantasy we were writing. While reality slowly drew closer until it hit us like a steel pipe to the face. No more, I say we take the power granted as it is our birthright! I say we master these eyes of ours, we torment the ones responsible and drown them in despair! I say we fight the way we desire with no restrictions and with nothing to hold us back, even going as far as to evolve our eyes to keep up with the battle we will take part in."

The Shadow twin stood In Front of Ruby as she looked into her eyes, as they were now Silver, like they always have been. While her twin, held those burning red orbs of power.

"Wait, you can seriously be saying that we should try and get the Mangekyō Sharingan. Are you?"

"That and more! So what if some dead guy said this power was a "taboo" this whole fucking world is a Taboo. Good people die without warning or meaning and bad men and women get away because they can. Something needs change. Law is untrustworthy because you know now screwed the politics in this world are, after all I know of them. People in power only wish to keep themselves in power. They don't care about those below them."

"But, What about the others? Yang, Blake, Weiss? Jaune and the others?"

"What the hell about them?"

"!!!?"

"You know as well as I That majority are those people don't even take you seriously, Blake is always too damn busy burying her face in a book and always are running away from her problems whenever they come anywhere near her to even acknowledge OUR problems, and Weiss has a stick so far up her ass She can't ever be even the slightest bit happy when anything goes slightly OUR way, Because that means it goes away from her! Yang, The hell has she done? She dragged us with her when she was a kid and almost got us killed! She also can't take anything seriously, and has been on a loose end on many occasions. Jaune? You mean a very same individual who lets himself get pushed around and is always failing at everything? What good will they do? Or did you forget that half of them ran away? Blake is gone, she ran away, and Weiss Is God knows where. And won't even bother to call us. Some compassion she has for us, wouldn't you say?"

"..."

"Yangs the same and so is Jaune and the rest. The only time they've ever bothered to contact us was to unload their guilt onto this, and then just leave, Never even bothering to ask about how we were feeling. So why not just make a change, screw being a huntsman, or huntress let's be our own thing. Let's not have to worry about all of this unnecessary drama and bullshit, We have the power We just need to unlock it."

" …. But would that really be right? Leaving them behind in this quest for revenge and power?"

"it would be the most right thing we've done since coming to this truth."

"..."

Both stood silent, the dream had changed to a field of fire, the sight of so many dead students and huntsmen as Ruby made her way to the Grimm horde made her feel sick, then she appeared again.

Pyrrha, although she was different.

She was broken and torn up, her legs too weak and she feels, flames dancing inside bed chest, a mockingness to Ruby who held her now dying friend.

Every fucking TIME! IT'S ALWAYS LIKE THIS!!!

All they could do was watch her die, watch everything die again and again, these past 4 days have been nothing more than a repeat of hell in this dream!

It always ended like this, and the two grew disgusted at this.

"Guess this means your about to wake up "

"Ya, guess so."

"... Have you considered?"

"Yes…" looking at the dead girl Ruby squeezed until her arms wrapped around herself. "we…. We need more power then what we have. And if theses eyes can grant me that, then I'll embrace it, Even if it is a taboo. But I'm not too sure about the Mangekyō Sharingan though."

The twin smiles. "I understand, So long as we are able to change something, That is all I wish to bring to light."

"You've done more than just that, I keep thinking that maybe if I wait, if I reach out that something will change but that's not going to happen. I just need to stop thinking That this is some damn fantasy. I need to stop thinking that that was just a nightmare. That everything can just go back to normal. It's not going to be normal anymore. I'm stuck here, yes, but I'm not going to be trapped. Not anymore."

"... Hn, That's good to hear."

A crack formed and the twin watched her original disappear into the real world.

"Goodbye. Until we see each other again."

The real world.*

Ruby opened her eyes to the sight of the ceiling above, she glanced at the window and sighed, picking herself up she got dressed and immediately went outside.

Upon arriving outside she looked at her scroll, 6:07 am, perfect time to get to work.

She closes her eyes and focuses her aura into her eyes, reactivating her Sharingan.

Seeing the world slow down as the slightest movement was recorded into her brain she smirked.

She walked into the woods, not caring for the warning or the "needing rest argument" she wanted strength and that comes with a need to put herself in dangerous situations to improve her overall strength.

And soon the object of her training would begin, there a massive Ursa was before her, this hulking beast would serve fine.

Roaring at her presence the beast charged not realizing the mistake made when looking into its opponents eyes, then again the beast always looked into the eyes of its challengers. After all, eye contact is a sign of either authority or a challenge within their species.

But none of its species had the Sharingan, and with her malice she unleashed her eye of illusion upon the beast. The rotating Tomoes flashed as a sharp piercing sound flared within the air and the beast stopped, looking around it spotted the girl who had challenged it standing in front of it. Confused by her sudden shift in nature, the Beast was trying to evaluate the situation before its desire for food kicked in causing it to charge and an active ravenous mind altering hunger. Opening its wide powerful jaws It would eventually clamp down upon the young girl's body though unexpectedly no blood came out like the many different hunters It's devoured before. Instead blades stabbed through the beast jaws casing a mind numbing pain to flood it's nervous system.

It tried to let go, But as it tried to open its jaws the blade slide in further, increasing the overall suffering but it powered through prying itself off of the mouth full of knives It looked down to see the girl laying down, But that quickly ended in an instant when her body dissolved into nothingness like it's kind upon death, before it's entire body exploded with blades of all kind sticking out of it.

It's legs grew too heavy thanks to the overwhelming pain assaulting its very being, the large bear collapsed upon the ground and waited for the sweet embrace of death Well it wallowed in suffering.

It waited for an eternity, But death wasn't coming, only more agony as more sores kept growing like a parasite young planted deep within its soul, they are threw it's flesh and bone it's armor and pride as All those years of survival meant nothing before this creature, It's fate with sealed the moment it challenged her.

On the outside the bear layed still, not moving not breathing, It was frozen in time almost, It's mind too busy suffering to even realize the danger it's main body is enduring. And This would eventually leads to its death, Ruby looked at its laying, defenseless form and plunge her Scythe into its skull, black, dark, inky blood panted the scythe blade of Crescent Rose as Ruby just looked and sighed, She thought no satisfaction no remorse, This beast was simply a means to an end a step needed to complete her grand ideal of world peace.

Unfortunately her time came to an end when she heard footsteps behind her, looking back She saw her uncle looking at her with a not so pleased expression upon his face. She knew he would give that expression. Him and her father were always in the same boat when it came to this power, That it was "too unknown" that it was "too dangerous" and "what may not and who toots". But she knew they were lying, They knew damn well what these eyes were.

Just like Ozpin they were actively trying to keep her away from this power, why though? What could possibly be so bad about this power that it warrants lying to your very own flesh and blood and intentionally trying to mislead them?

What were they not telling?

"Ruby." Qrow began with a Stern tone. "You know what me and your father have said to you about using those eyes like this."

"Ya." Ruby spoke back, her voice not amused by his sudden appearance and subtle lecture. "What of it? They are a part of me, why wouldn't I use them."

"I get that, but we've already said that you need rest, not to mention Tai doesn't want you using those eyes because they cause way too much strain on you."

Another lie, Ruby could tell his breathing was off and his aura around his heart was pulsating faster, He kept a good face but he couldn't hide the internal truth.

Ruby, seeing this scoffed, twisted her head as she looked towards the dead Grimm.

"When are you going to stop lying?"

Qrow wouldn't speak as she looked at her scythe which was within the massive Ursa's skull.

"Seriously, when are you going to give me a proper right answer, not some excuse. What's the real reason why you're not letting me try and get more practice with my eyes?"

"... Ruby just trust me, and trust your father, You should really take a break."

"I've been taking a break, Uncle Qrow. I have rested and it's doing nothing. I'd rather dedicate my time to getting stronger and keeping up on my skills to not fall behind."

Qrow sighed, 'Great She's just like her when she went through her phase.' "Ruby look, although it's admirable that you want to get stronger after facing such hardships you gotta understand you're a kid. You don't just Get over something like this so easily."

"I get that, But I'd rather not just be sitting around all day doing nothing."

"Ok I get now wanting to do anything is a bad thing in your eyes but there's a clear difference between motivation and obsession, You're slowly falling into an obsession with getting stronger over this. not to mention you wouldn't be doing anything, You would be slowly mending your broken spirits. There's only so little you can do with a broken heart and a broken spirit, little rose, You need time to rest."

"I don't need any more damn rest!"

"... Ruby, be honest with me. How well have you been sleeping?"

Ruby turned her head as she gripped her scythes handle tighter.

"I figure not so much, come on kiddo be honest with me again Is it nightmares?"

"... So what if they are?"

"Hm, there's no need to be so cold-hearted I understand the feeling. You forget sometimes that I've been on this planet way longer than you have, I've seen more shit happen than you have. So take it from me, I'm not saying you shouldn't try and get stronger not wanting to get stronger after this would only hurt you more. And I'm not saying You shouldn't use your eyes. They're basically a second semblance, there's no point in not mastering them. I'm just simply trying to tell you to take a break every once in a while to not wear yourself too thin. You need your rest kiddo."

"... Why are you telling me all this shouldn't you be with Yang? She needs more babysitting than I do."

"Ruby." He said as he sighed, You see, for the past 4 days Yang has been actively avoiding Ruby like the Black plague and its beginning to form a wedge between the two. "You shouldn't speak like that to your older sister. She suffered through a traumatic injury. She's lost her entire left arm, something like that can't be conquered over within only 4 days. Some professional huntsmen need entire years to cope with the reality of missing a limb."

"Still not at a reason why she just completely ghosts me, without giving me any explanation or anything like that When I've done nothing but try to help her. Like every damn member of my team, I help and get nothing."

Qrow noticed the edge in her voice, the malice and the shaking hands he sighed, shit was getting bad as she was angry, not that he really blames her.

Blake was a good girl from what he's seen However after she decided to completely abandon the team and run away and essentially cut all connections with them yeah that kind of changed his perspective on her a little bit especially since she's basically abandoned his niece all because she's a "problem". When the main problem isn't her it's the white thing, a group she's no longer a part of and no longer anywhere near as it was previously when she was a part of it.

Then there's Weiss, honestly he had no goddamn idea where she went but it probably had something to do with her family. Now that she completely understands However it would have been nice for her to at least say something to her niece that way she doesn't believe that she was completely abandoned, like with Blake. Though considering the family she's been a part of her entire life it's honestly not that far of a stretch to assume that some kind of punishment would have been carried out if she would have contacted anyone outside the family's manner.

Then there was Yang. Honestly she's the most positive of the trio, She's always stuck by Ruby side since day one, It was essentially the red reapers ride or die. However, considering some letters that Ruby has sent him he's been noticing a growth… let's just say Raven phase within yang. She was becoming more reckless, less calm and collected letting her emotions get in the way leading to some catastrophic scenarios. Hell Because of her own rage when she charged Adam she lost her arm and now because of her actions she's essentially forming a wedge between her and her sister.

The whole ordeal was a goddamn mess, Ruby was now a darker huntsman with a much more grim outlook on life, and a power that was growing with her intense hatred. Yang had all her confidence shattered and was a shell of her former self, She could no longer fight, she could no longer adventure properly Hell even day-to-day activities were a massive struggle to her. Blake was God knows where, probably back on Fanus island trying to hide away from all her problems. And Weiss was practically on a different planet because she was most likely back with the Schnee family which if that was the case yeah there's a good chance that they'll never see her again. Especially if her father pulls some strings.

So we got an emo 15-year-old with a powerful new eye ability, a depressed shell of a confident blonde haired brawler, a runaway stray cat, and a MIA princess. Team RWBY was definitely in some hot shit.

And their leader was definitely taking the most of it, and with none of her team behind her, Guess that just leaves him and Tai to help out.

Now does he trust Tai to help out? Absolutely, But does he fully trust that he won't try and get Ruby to abandon the use of the Crimson eyes. Oh absolutely not. He knows damn well that his best friend would try and steer his daughter away from these glowing orbs, And that was going to be the biggest challenge. Ruby was hell-bent on using any kind of means to come about her newfound change, That means even these eyes that Tai considered a curse. A stain on the silver lineage. After all when he explained it to Ruby he could practically hear the venom dripping out of his mouth when he was discussing them, saying how "the eyes are an instrument of destruction", and "that they have great power But rob the humanity of its users".

Which was 100% true, though he didn't like the general tone he was trying to push with it. It made the already confused and frightened Rose even more confused, terrified and scared to which of course being the uncle he is. He stepped in and helped. Reassuring her but the power was just a power It's whatever she does with it that leads her down her path.

So ya, All of that led up to this, the negatively emotionally driven 15-year-old with the Crimson eyes of terror looking back at him, the old crow who has a drinking problem. Definitely the start of a fairy tale that he would read.

But he reassured her with a gentle pat on her shoulders, "hey, Don't talk too badly about them all right. Things happen However you're here now. And although they may be gone if they truly do disappear then I guess that's a road we will cross in the future. Until then I'm going to help you be the best you can. Now come on, I'll try and make you something for lunch or wait. Is it technically still morning?"

"Yes uncle, It's still morning" she'd respond with a half amuse tone.

"Then breakfast it is."

"Do you even know how to cook?"

"Nope! But there's no day like this to learn."

He would laugh and walk off gesturing to her to come over, so she happily skipped over and walked with him.

"Say uncle."

"Yes kiddo?"

"Why does Dad hate my eyes so much? Is it because of… me?"

"What? No, of course not."

"Then is it because these are supposedly eyes made from evil itself."

"ya You see Ruby your mom had those eyes. And we'll, At first she grew a lot darker than you are currently, and she began to change a little bit however it was only a little before she returned but in that time Tai thought he was going to lose the woman he loved. And wished that none of his children had to endure the same thing she did, That's the reason why he doesn't like these eyes because he honestly believes that they lead to nothing but suffering."

"Then what about you uncle?"

"Honestly, I say screw it. What's the point in not using them when you already have them? Just seems stupid if you ask me, All power can be used for good or evil. After all, we don't live in a perfectly good world. Sometimes in order to beat the darkness you have to grab a part of it and whack it over the head with said part."

"I see."

"Though I'm not saying that you should completely and utterly just dive into it without giving yourself room to breathe and overwhelming yourself with too much negativity using it. That will cause change and not in the best way, I recommend that we just take the time to go as slowly as we can. You've only had them for 4 days now We can't be expecting you to do anything crazy with them now can we?"

"I guess so."

"Great!" Qrow stopped in front of the wooden house before patting her back. "Now come on, your dad's going to be out with Yang so I'll cook you something and then we'll go out in the woods and train."

Ruby Froze, "You're going to train… me?"

"Yeah it'll be like old times all over again."

"Hm, You're going down uncle Qrow!"

"Hehehe there's that fire, But don't think it's going to be so easy Ruby. You may got the fancy power but this old man's got the experience."

"Hehe Well I have good knees."

"You leave my old knees out of this."

"Nope! I'll exploit your knees!"

"..." Qrow looked at her like she was the most evil being on the planet. "How despicable of you."

Ruby just laughed her ass off As the two of them went inside and the adult grabbed what was necessary.

It would be some time before breakfast was made so Ruby excused herself and went upstairs towards her mom's old room.

After all something there was bugging her and she just needed to figure out what that was.

Timeskip within Summer's room*

There they were, immediately upon arriving into the room she spotted the scrolls resting on the high up shelf. She also noticed the bed that was to her left up against the wall that looked rustled and with some dark spots on the pillows and blankets, Great it seems like her dad's been here and also seems like a few tears were shed as well. Oh well, judging from how dark it was a few days ago. And it was going to be fading away rather quickly as well but she didn't care about that. She wanted to know about the scrolls.

Walking over to them She looked, there were seven in total. So gently took them into her hands feeling the paper upon her palm, She slowly took off the tied seal and opened it and was greeted with a very very interesting topic.

This school talked about the ability to mold one's aura into an art called "ninjutsu." There were a lot of things about this ranging from being able to create clones, to straight up letting you control different five types of elements. The five nature transformations from what she could gather from this beginning scroll was, Fire, Earth, water, lightning, and air, All of them having their props and all of them having their cons.

Though as she kept reading it became more and more apparent that this was the little edge she needed, Because as she kept looking threw the other four scrolls in her hand and reading them one by one She noticed how each and every one of these were a different scroll for a certain type of ninjutsu, mainly for the different elements and the different levels and higher difficulties of ninjutsu for said elemental type. Honestly, Her mom must have been a real ninjutsu master to be able to have all of these scrolls just sitting around so casually.

But something came to mind, she held the six that spoke of different Ninjutsu, like clone creation and the other five for the elements sooo…

This begs the question: What was that last scroll way in the back? It was the furthest pushed back like it was trying to be hidden. Her curiosity got to her and taking it. She looked at it before opening it and saw it has something to do with the Sharingan itself, mainly Abilities and powers it had within, and something caught her attention apparently the eyes can copy movements and ninjutsu techniques.

So was it possible for her to copy them? Use her eyes to scan the scroll and engrave its lessons into her allowing her to use Ninjutsu easier? Honestly there were so many goddamn questions. She just had to wrap up the scrolls and transfer them to her room for further examination after breakfast was done.

Which came sooner than she expected, Well more like the smell of something burning she walked down stairs to see Qrow dealing with a flaming egg and she rolled her eyes, her semblance activated and she appeared with a fire extinguisher and shot the egg.

"How did you burn an egg Uncle?"

"Hm, What can I say I just wanted some nice spice to it is all."

"By somehow setting it on fire?"

"Yup, all planned kiddo."

"... From the looks of things it was like it was going to completely burn down the kitchen."

"Pf, please I knew what I was doing."

Ruby gave a deadpan expression. "Surrrrre you did."

"Tch, Go back upstairs kiddo." He said as he chuckled and patted her head.

"Hmm, fine."

Walking away she went upstairs as Qrow cleaned the entire area and went back to the stove as he looked at the eggs.

"All right you little shits, time for you all to get cooked."

With Ruby."

After witnessing the disaster in the kitchen she returns to her room there she opened the last scroll and looked threw the abilities her eyes had, She noticed two abilities in particular, the eye of insight, and the eye of hypnotism, the eye of insight allows her to predict and essentially see what her opponents are going to do before they even have the chance of doing it, and the eye of hypnotism allows her to put enemies under subtle or extremely potent Genjutsu.

Now Ruby knows of this ability hard not to when she's been doing it to Grimm for a while now, but she didn't know she could subtly change someone's perspective of reality, the further she dwelled she realized the potential that she had, She could easily win the outcome of someone's fight If she makes them believe that they're in the right position when in reality, they aren't, or making them Believe that there weapon broke when in reality it didn't.

These also probably took less time to create considering that normally she's a good second of so to be able to put something in a more devastating Genjutsu like how she uses it on the grimm, So if she was fighting somebody who somehow knew about the Sharingan this could be a better way for her to get them rather than just look at them for a second.

With that engraved she then turned her attention to the eye of insight, and it was pretty busted as well, this is where the copy ability as for mention came from. But also it seemed like it could be used on martial arts as well, allowing her to copy the skillful techniques and combat styles of opponents that she is able to witness, though it seems like she can't copy semblances. Go figure, that was a power of the soul as explained, something that can't be copied.

However everything else was on the table, and after learning all she needed She put the scroll down and instead put out the lightning chakra scroll.

She opened it and looked through it. She didn't know why, but she felt the most connected with it, maybe because, like her lightning was fast and furious, striking quickly and then disappearing the next instant. Regardless, the scroll, like all the other scrolls about chakra, had the basics that was needed to understand, like how to mold your aura, the theory and science behind it, but that's where they're similarities end. Because after that that's where it gets into elemental transformations which is different for each element, Ruby figured that she could simply review The lightning scroll until she got the basics of how to use her Aura to form such things, or perhaps it was best to switch to the non jutsu based scroll That one seems like it has a better tutorial for beginners.

Sighing she put the lighting scroll down as she remembered "hey You're literally just beginning this and it seems like elemental transformations are going to be a little bit outside your grasp for a while." So begrudgingly pouting, she placed the cool lightning scroll down and picked up her little Ninjutsu tutorial scroll, looking at it she read it quietly looking through the lines with her sharingan, she observed everything she needed to understand.

Hand signs, molding, the act of increasing one's Aura amount, everything, so thinking that now should be a good time with I need to get started She put her hands together and began to mold.

She envisioned a manifestation of her aura and it was working, a subtle blue glow was coming off her as she breathed easier, she imagined the aura going down her arm and into her fist, to which when this was accomplished she swung her fist and slammed it into the wall casing a small dent.

She looked at her fist then back at the scroll which saw the man snapping a tree in half, "damn it" she muttered. "Guess I should have expected that though thankfully it seems like the aura control we learned at single seems to be applicable for this."

Glancing back down at the scrolls content she saw the images and the text explaining how to use her Aura to strengthen her physical body, By condensing it until the point of impact she could explosively increase her punches and speed, though wondering what else you could do she looked and noticed that she could apparently use aura to be able to walk on water by having Aura bond with the water molecules allowing her to create a stable footing on the surface. How she would even attempt doing that is beyond her but that was for future self to worry about not present self, she just needed to be able to punch through wood for now, this is where she would begin and after she can execute this properly, she'll try and learn that clone Jutsu.

She believed it's called Shadow clone Jutsu from what she read it would be perfect for this.

But for now she just needed to work on her aura control.

And punching the wall again she noticed the slightly larger hole and sighed.

'This is going to take ages.'

Timeskip noon*

So she had ate, and was in the backyard of the house just punching a tree, repeatedly coding her fist in aura she repeatedly slammed it into the tree, over and over the hole was very much noticeable but as she kept swinging she realized that her form was sloppy as a result she couldn't use the full twist and snapping force that's usually imparted with a deadly masterful strike, as such she asked if Qrow could come outside.

And he was here now, looking at his niece and then the tree he had several questions but what Ruby said threw him off.

"Can you show me how to punch?"

"Hmmm I don't see why I couldn't."

Walking up he delivered a swift masterful punch that cracked the surface of the tree, looking back at his niece she already had her sharingan opened and she copied his speed and technique.

She walked next to him and performed the same lightning fast almost snap-like punch but coated it with Aura creating a large impact upon the tree sending bark flying all around.

Qrow looked at the girl and shook his head, oh God those eyes were such cheating but hey he's not her enemy so He won't complain.

"Thanks, that was the missing piece, now I just need to refine this."

"All right be at it then, But you do realize that, that punch you just did would probably kill a normal person."

"I'm fully aware."

Looking back at the tree then Ruby. He just cuddled and patted her head. "Have at it then kiddo."

Ruby looked at the disappearing figure of Her uncle and didn't think much of it, she just turned back and kept training.

Unaware that there were eyes watching her.

With Yang, Yangs P.O.V"

Seems like Rubus is back to training again, this time she's punching holes into trees which honestly I don't know what to think about….

She's so different now, but then again she was hit the hardest that day and now I'm just standing here looking as she gets stronger.

But something just feels wrong about all this. Ruby's eyes have changed, they've turned to those red eyes of hate and malice, those eyes… there not something Ruby should have, My sister should have never gotten them. If I had just done my job and protected her.

Huh… how can I even still think of protecting her when I couldn't even do anything for myself versus Adam.

Looking at my own missing arm I feel disgusted with myself, I always talked such good talk but against somebody who was even slightly better I crumbled and now my dream of exploring the world might as well be trash at this point.

But should I even think like this? Because looking at Rubus although she suffered she has taken the motivation to get stronger and is driving this to its limit.

But then again, Ruby seems to have lost sight of all the joy that comes with living, but I… God Just shut up, You know damn well why Ruby's like this Just because you don't like it doesn't mean anything.

She's her own person, and I can tell she resents me for lying to her about the world and everything that comes with it, but I was only trying to protect her… but I also hurt her just like the others.

God, what am I going to do with my life now? I can't even bring myself to talk to her. She won't even give me the time of day she's always training. After all nothing is more important than eating, sleeping, training and repeating.

"……." She really has gotten a lot stronger, but emotions like that can do that to someone, But I just hope that Ruby doesn't fall too far down into that darkness.

I want to reach out to her, but I'm shaking at the thought, What do I say after I've completely separated myself from her in these trying times? What do I say to her to try and justify the lies I've told her up until the truth was revealed? What should I do?

Am I going to lose Ruby?

Am I going to lose my sister?

…. Gods above, I know I don't usually call out to you but please just this once help my sister. Don't let her go down this path of suffering make her future brighter.

Please, help her, Because I know I can't because I failed her.

With Qrow*

The uncle had taken a seat down at the couch he sighed to himself When he spotted the father of Yang and Ruby looking out the window towards the youngest.

"Tai, Take a chill pill."

"What?" The father replayed, as he looked at his friend.

"I'm serious. Take a chill pill, calm down, sit down and stop getting your nerves all wrapped up."

"How the hell can you just say that? Don't you see what's going on out there?"

"Ya, Ruby's coming into inheritage and yang is still trying to find her path."

"And that's exactly the problem!" Tai slammed his fist into the wall. "Ruby's going down the path of Darkness and Yang is too emotionally and mentally weak to find her path! Damnit if I were to have just trusted my gut sooner I should have gone there to help them. I should have trusted Goodwitch to be able to handle the grimm. If I would have made it to Yang I would have been able to help her and she could have helped Ruby."

"So you would have left Glynda all to herself?"

"I… no but still."

"Tai I understand, I know how you must be feeling but listen to me. This was unavoidable and we have to accept that."

"I… I know but I just don't want to lose those two. Especially Ruby, I… I can't bear to see her go down that path… not after…"

"Summer?" Qrow replied.

"Y-ya I don't want to see her go down the same path as her mom."

A flash of crimson pared threw Tai's mind, a white cloaked figure holding a small girl as she rocked her back and forth, blood dripping from her face and hands. She looked upon the small girl with a smile as she brushed away her worries. Before looking at Tai with a glance so none chilling It was like he was looking at a demon.

Tai shivered, recalling the memory. "That's something she shouldn't endure."

"Hm, true, But You know what's going to drive her down that path more trying to simply keep the truth from her trying to get her to throw away this new power. Tai listen and listen closely. I've seen what desperation can do to people and so have you. Ruby is a desperate girl right now. She's using this power as a coping mechanism to deal with the reality of the situation. She's throwing herself into this training pursuing vengeance because that's all she can do to keep her mind straight. It may not be the healthiest thing, yes but at least she's trying to keep her spirits up, not to mention she hasn't fully forsaken her path. I say we just simply let her be. Let her get stronger, let her use her power to how she wishes. Let her be free without having to interfere with everything and eventually when all things blow over try and reason with her don't have her go down the path of darkness but instead walk the line both light and dark That way she doesn't end up like summer."

"Is this all we can do? Just hope?"

"Ya, that and help from time to time."

"I see…" Tai looked at Ruby One last time before turning away. "I'm going to go upstairs."

"Alright, Take care Tai."

He just nod his head.

Walking up stairs the father of Ruby and Yang walked into a room, it was Summers room. Looking around he spotted the scrolls missing, The scrolls that would allow someone to learn about Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and the Sharingan.

His gut twist as he remembered Summer writing them from the old records from Ozpin's office, he also looked over and saw a familiar pendant.

Picking it up the necklace had a large circle attached at the bottom, That was split between silver and crimson with the Crimson slowly taking over the silver.

Tai remembered the night where she took this off, He remembered the night where he spotted her talking to Ruby.

"Ahh The night sky is truly a beautiful thing, wouldn't you say my dear daughter?"

"Ahahaha!" The child Ruby would laugh holding her hands out to the stars.

"Hehehe you're so adorable, sadly though this world won't allow you to express your innocence. It'll try to rob you like it did me, it will make your life miserable as it did mine." The adult took a big deep breath as she looked back to the sky. "Such a world is unbefitting for the future generation. The system is so broken and corrupted and yet we fight for it. We are either forest with the ideal of a hero and dying as a pawn or going against the natural world and being considered the "villains", such ideals are foolishness. So long as there is peace there will always be war. The selfish idea to preserve one's stature initiates conflict, conflict leads to wars that span generations. Like Ozpin, like Salem."

The girls eyes changed, No longer looking at her daughter with silver eyes no She looked at her with Ruby colored eyes.

"You see my dear child, eventually you will unlock these eyes and see the truth. Now whenever that happens I may not be around to help you through it. So I will leave souvenirs to guide you on your path. But when you do I have to ask what path will you walk…."

"The hero?"

"Or the villain?"

And There you have it ladies and gentlemen this newest chapter is done I hope you all enjoy it.

Yep I know back to back updates something that you never expect from me but hey guess what I'm doing it because I have the power to do it!

Yep now shit's getting more intense I'm going to be doing a time script for the next chapter and it's going to be here that Ruby is going to be learning some new shit, No trust me She's not going to be at Jōnin level just yet, that'll be after she's done with her little rest in relaxation shit hehehehe!

And if you think that's too fast let me remind you that Sasuke in Canon Naruto literally went from killing Itachi to not even like 4 months later unlocking and going blind with his Mangekyō Sharingan, then simultaneously getting EMS like 2 weeks later, only to have a few more episodes go by and he has a Rinne-sharingan.

So yes Ruby will be around the age of 16 when all the crazy s* happens which isn't that far out from Canon Ruby.

ANYWAYS!

Thank you all for reading expect a few new updates coming up here soon because I will be on Christmas break and I will have plenty of time to do s* as I desire I love you all thank you for watching and reading Now goodbye.
