The car ride to the bar was silent- and not the kind of silence that is peaceful. Both of them remained uneasy after the moment they shared back at the apartment. Finally finding a parking spot, Elliot's phone makes a noise.

ANGUS: Plans changed. We're at Ryan's Daughter.

Groaning, he pulls out of the spot. Olivia asks with heavy confusion, "What are you doing?"

"He changed locations," he answers frustratedly.

Olivia whips out her phone and asks, "Where?"

"Ryan's Daughter," Elliot responds plainly.

OLIVIA: Location changed to Ryan's Daughter.

AYANNA: We're on it. Don't go, until we have someone else in there.

OLIVIA: Stabler is getting antsy, but I'll try my best.

AYANNA: Always appreciated, Captain.

"I updated Bell-" Olivia begins.

Interjecting, he asks, "Why?"

"She wants us to wait until she gets some of your men in there," she ignores his question.

"We're already running late. I'm not waiting for backup."

"I told you to avoid the 79th Transverse."

"I thought it was going to be a shortcut."

"You're shortcut added thirty minutes to our trip."

Elliot grumbles at her comment. Lucky for them, a car was pulling out of a parking spot right outside the bar. In a rush, Elliot swings his door open and feeds the meter. Olivia exits the vehicle as well. She reaches out for his hand and looks deeply into his eyes. Whispering softly, she grins, "Some things never change…"

He tilts his head and furrows his brow, "Whadya mean by that?"

Bringing her face closer, she murmurs in his ear, "You've always been a stubborn son of a bitch, Sullivan…"

Elliot begins to smile brightly. Intertwining his fingers with hers, he holds the door open for her like a true gentleman. The burly man behind the bar greets them, "Sully!"

"How you been Jack?" grinning, he approaches the bar.

"Be better if these assholes tipped even a fraction of what you do," Jack throws the white towel he is holding on his shoulder.

"I got you, man, you know I do."

"You want anything?"

"Nah, I gotta meet Lucky. You see him anywhere?"

"Boy, he's upstairs with his lady. You know how he gets with her."

"Yeah, yeah. I still gotta meet with him," taking Olivia's hand back in his, he guides her through the drunken crowd to the rickety stairs.

She scans the room with anxiety hoping that Bell's team would casually stroll through the door at any moment. Elliot leads her up the stairs and she loses the visual on the front door. Feeling a supportive squeeze from Elliot, she refocuses herself.

At the very end of the hallway is a skinny wooden door with a green clover painted on it. Slowly entering the room through the door, Angus spins around in his chair, "Nice of you to show up."

"We got caught on the 79th Transverse," Elliot answers standing behind Angus' desk.

"Why the hell'd you do that?" Shannon answers angrily as she slams the door, slightly startling Olivia.

"He thought it'd be faster," Olivia answers quickly.

Shannon rests her hands on Olivia's shoulders and uncomfortably rubs them in, "Great to see you again, Maggie. How've you been?"

Olivia starts to sense some hostility radiating from Shannon, "I've been busy. It's fall wedding season so-"

"Heard you and Sully moved in together," Angus interrupts her and gets straight to the point.

Elliot gulps as Olivia replies, "Yes…"

"How's it going?" standing from his chair, Angus walks around his desk and plants himself in front of Olivia.

Olivia glances over at Elliot. Sharing a brief moment of eye contact, she gathers that he also has no idea why she is being interrogated. Trying her best to control her breathing and not sound shaky, she answers, "It's been good…"

"Just good?" Shannon takes a step behind her.

This creates a feeling of anxiety that floods through Olivia's body. Opening her mouth to speak, she is cut off by Angus making an inappropriate comment, "You like sharing a bed? Having some fun?"

"What the fuck do you want Angus?" Elliot angrily moves towards his boss.

Reaching his hand in his coat pocket, Angus pulls out a pistol. He points it at Elliot and directs him to back up, "You know how I feel about rats, Emmett."

Throwing his hands in the air, his breath hitches. Worridley glancing back and forth between Olivia and Angus, Elliot tries to save himself, "Angus, what the fuck are you talking about?"

Switching the gun from Elliot to Olivia, Angus directly asks her, "What am I talking about?"

With her eyes widening, Olivia steps back and falls into Shannon, "I don't know. I don't know."

Angus stares into Shannon's bright emerald green eyes and nods his head. This signals Shannon's departure from the room. With the door latching shut Angus steps closer to Olivia and asks with a husky tone, "Are you sure about that, Captain?"

The room falls deathly silent. Olivia can feel her airway closing. With the gun still pointed at her, Angus moves towards his desk where he opens a lower drawer. Pulling out an old newspaper page, he hands it to her. Her eyes widen and become glassy. Under her breath, she mumbles, "Lewis…" Remembering how her bloodied face had been plastered all over New York's newspaper stands, she looks up at Angus, then looks over at Elliot.

Standing there helplessly, Elliot croaks, "What?"

"You didn't realize your girlfriend was famous? That's some poor detective skills," Angus rips the page out of her trembling hands and throws it at Elliot.

Olivia is unable to do anything but watch Elliot. Unable to do anything but watch his facial expression change from underlying fear to pity. He slowly lifts his head from the page with tears in his eyes. Incapable of forming a sentence, he just looks deeply into her brown eyes. Filled with self-hatred and sorrow, he blurts, "I'm sorry…"

Knowing that this mission is now completely busted, Olivia doesn't even try to hide her true identity. With a single tear falling from her eye, she whimpers, "It's not your fault, El…"

Still holding out a gun, Angus watches the scene unfold. Elliot attempts to step closer to Olivia for comfort, but Angus positions the gun on him. He takes a step back and quietly admits, "I should have been there…"

Olivia wipes her tears away and asks bluntly, "Can we please do this later, Elliot?"

"You think there will be a later?" Angus chuckles to himself, "I don't release rats…"

The silence that fills the air rings through their ears. The silence is cut short by two loud shots.

*BANG BANG*

A/N: Sorry not sorry for the cliffhanger, but I have no idea how I want this to turn out. I'm going to take a night and see if I want them to live. I'm evil like that. -Good Lord I sound like a bitch. My humble apologies.
