Disclaimer: I don't own anything. This is just a story for fun.
Oersted and Streibough looked at one another across the arena. The last two fighters in the tournament. The Minister spoke up.
"Before our final bout and winner crowned...The king shall speak!"
The King rose from his chair to address the fighters. Both Oersted and Streibough bowed respectively before him.
"Your strength and skill I praise. Your courage honor- covet too, in truth. And so, to peerless victor I will grant...My Alethea- daughter's hand to wed."
The crowd cheered as both fighters got up and faced each other.
"Know this, my friend. I will hold nothing back. I've yielded much to you, but not this day.
Gods grant me strength- grant me glory deserved!" Said Streibough.
"I shall not hold back either dear friend. May the best man win." Said Oersted.
"Comrades- blessed brothers in arms- make ready! For king- for love everlasting! Now fight!" Said the Minister.
Streibough quickly went on the offensive by leaping back to put some distance between himself and Oersted and began to fire a variety of spells at him. Oersted showed a incredible amount of speed and reflexes by dodging and deflecting the spells with his sword as he charged Streibough clearing the distance. The top of Streibough's staff began to glow brightly as he swung it at Oersted, who met the blow with his sword. Sparks flew as the two weapons met and then the two fighters pushed away from each other. Streibough recovered and fired a blast of lightning magic at Oersted, who barely dodged it and raced at his opponent delivering a slash to his chest. The magic user gasped in pain, but quickly retaliated by swinging his staff and striking Oersted in the side. Oersted grunted in pain and staggered back as Streibough tried to fire another spell at him, but Oersted recovered quickly and struck Streibough again with his sword. Streibough cried out in pain as he fell to his knees.
The battle was over.
"Rejoice, Lucrece- your champion is crowned! Oersted!" Said the Minister.
"Thaws a good fight. You fought admirable Streibough." Said Oersted as he helped Streibough to his feet.
"So... so be it. Well fought and won, my friend..." Said Streibough as some knights helped him out of the arena.
Riku took notice of a brief envious look Streibough cast at Oersted before vanishing from sight.
"Approach, youth and kneel before the king!" Said the Minister
Oersted did as he was told.
"A magnificent duel! I salute you! Come, Alethea. Have you naught to say?" Said the King.
The princess stood up.
"Oersted...Your name and deeds are known to me, witnessed your prowess first hand, I...Am grateful for most thrilling us be wed. For king and for country." Said Alethea.
"The youth is deserving of reward great! Let marriage unite- bonds of blood true bind! And all know joy and peace forevermore! My people! Come and join in our revels! My table is open to one and all!" Said the King.
Oersted smiled as a great cheer rose, ringing across the kingdom. Then everything faded away and Sora and his friends found themselves back in the cave of prehistoric times.
To be continued.
