[A/N: Hey SiegfriedXIII here. So... I've decided to create an alternate version of my RWBY Glyphed Swordsman story. My reason is that I've noticed that more than a few people wanted me to do a childhood arc and not just fast forward through the time to when he gets to Sanctum, my reason for doing that was mostly due to canon not really putting a lot of info on the Schnee family when I first wrote the other version. By no means does this ensue that I'm rewriting the original version. No that one will be it's own separate story and will be updated alongside this one. Think of this one as a completely different story altogether, just with the same character/powers. Balmung and Gram won't truly be part of this story, the swords have become rather obsolete after the introduction of Blade Works so I'm going to just have them be projections.

Anyways. For this version I'm not going to rush it. Siegfried's character won't really change much. But this will have more insight on his personality before Sanctum and during his childhood. Also... no dark dragon this time, the legend will still be there, along with Ormr family and their ties to Siegfried, but the dragon will have been slain and never revived. My reason for that is because... well the dragon's getting a bit complicated for me to plan out into an arc. Oh I still will for the other version, but It'll be a bit hard to plan and will take some time. Also little to almost no mention of the Chroniclers this time, as I'm sure people are getting tired of it. The only references will be in a story arc very far into the future.

Also... no first person as the main storyteller... There were parts of the other version that I had wanted to be 3rd person, but I couldn't as it would mess with the story flow I had set up before hand, 1st person will always be told in the present tense while 3rd will be past, fyi.

Anyways I'm sure that you've all had enough of my rambling so I'll just let you read the story.

Disclaimer: me no own me just fan.

1st PoV.

I stand on the hill of swords, but not the one I'm intimately familiar with, no this one belongs to the man before me.

Tall, dark skinned like he spent his entire life in the sun, which he had but that wasn't the cause of his dark skin, no... the cause was prana poisoning, when the body and its magic circuits draws on more prana than they can handle the results are usually the darkening of skin due to the heat and whitening of hair, along with the person's eyes darkening and eventually turning a dark steel color, just like this man.

The man wears black combat boots and trousers, and formfitting chest armor with red cloth covering one arm as a sleeve, and a matching red waist cape, on his uncovered arm, hanging from his shoulder, is a white cloth of sort, a banner, a golden sheath emblazoned on the cloth. In each of his hands are two swords, one black with red hexagonal patterns on the blade and a yin-yang on it's bronze guard, with a black leather grip, and bronze for the pommel. The other sword was the former's mirror image but the blade was white and doesn't have hexagonal patterns

The man doesn't pay me any attention despite my stares.

No, the man's focus is held by another man, with pale skin, black hair, glowing red eyes, full of madness, that glare holes at the first man.

The second man wears dark clothing, black camouflage trousers, with black combat boots, he is shirtless to reveal black tribal tattoos, that glow a sickly blackish purple. The torn remains of his shirt lay around his waist as a psuedo waist cape.

The second man has a sickly blackish purple mist, wafting off his body.

The black haired man roars at the White haired man, or at least I think he did... as I'm unable to hear any sound in this place.

The white haired man says something to the Black haired man, which prompted another roar followed by a charge.

The White haired man dodges to the side, avoiding a hand that was held in a claw like motion, and a line of purple followed the man's nails as they rake through the air where the first man used to be.

The white haired man leaps a safe distance away from the other man, and speaks again, trying to reason with the mad black haired man.

Said man just roars and stomps his left foot.

Pools of inky darkness rise from the ground, and form into armored knights each with black feathered wings with swords and shields of pure darkness.

The sight forces the white haired man to stop his attempts of reasoning and sigh.

Suddenly the world darkens as the sky is covered by an infinite amount of swords, and other weapons, spears, axes, daggers, you name it and it was there, some replicated from actual weapons and others from fantasy.

The dark army takes a step back along with their creator, who's madness has begun to clear, but it's too late.

Words finally make their way to my ears.

"Trace bullet... fire!"

And then the steel sky shot at the grassy golden fields of this world. This Unlimited Blade Works.

The world is then ungulfed in a bright light, followed by unending darkness.

Continent of Solitas: Atlas.

3rd PoV

The baby awoke to the sight of the white haired woman that was his mother. She currently held his twin, Weiss, in her arms, as the girl cried.

"Sh-sh-sh little Weiss, it's Ok... mommy's here, you're safe here with me." The woman said soothingly.

Her voice was calming and actually soothed the crying baby in her arms.

The Baby attempted to sit up, but he still didn't have any control over his motor functions.

But it seemed like his attempts to move had caught his mother's attention.

"Oh! Little Siegfried I'm sorry did Mama wake you?" His mother said with concern.

"No... just an old memory. No reason for you to worry." Is what he would have said... had he the ability to speak.

So in response to her question Siegfried just flopped onto his side.

"ugh... how embarrassing." Siegfried thought in annoyance.

His mother giggled at his show of a baby acrobatics, and placed Weiss gently into their shared crib, and booped him on the nose.

His baby body responded with a rapid shake of his head, having not expected the surprise attack on his nose, which prompted another giggle from his mother.

"Oh little Sieg you're so cute!" His mother said.

"Curse my baby adorableness!" Siegfried mentally shouted.

"Willow! Come here please, I need to talk with you." A man's voice said from outside the baby room.

"Jacque Schnee!" Siegfried mentally shouted, in anger.

"Oh. That's your father! Sorry Little Sieg. I'll be back in a bit." Willow said before she left.

Siegfried watched her leave before he turned to observe his shared room.

It was mostly white with blue trim, nothing to girly, and nothing to boyish, perfect for a pair of twins with different genders.

"While she's gone... I better figure out what happened and how I got here." Siegfried thought, for the tenth time since his birth two months ago.

"The last thing I remember was... sitting at home, relaxing, then a bright flash of rainbow light then darkness and I wake up to the sound of my heart beating in the womb... yep... definitely Zelretch... or Chaos... or both... yeah probably both." Siegfried deduces... again...

He'd gone through this as a routine, to remind himself that he doesn't belong in this world, despite being born here, it had become a sort of habit at this point.

"Ok so I know how I got here... I think... but what about the why? For what reason could those Dimension hopping, prank loving, dicks, have for reincarnating me to this world, instead of just dropping me here? It doesn't make any sense! It's just not their style." Siegfried contemplated.

A gurgling disturbed Siegfried from his throughts.

He turned to the source to see Weiss had woken up, and was staring at him with her ice blue eyes, the complete opposite of his red reptilian slit ones.

The girl tilted her head and gurgled her desire to the other baby.

Siegfried mentally sighed and crawled over to her.

He sat down next to his twin, who sleepily placed her head onto his pudgy baby legs, using him as a pillow.

Siegfried stared at his twin, and a small smile appeared on his normally frowning (read:pouty) baby face.

"Maybe this won't be that bad." Siegfried thought, before he fell asleep.

With Willow

Willow walked out of the baby room to her husband, Jacque Schnee nee Ormr.

He was a man with black hair, that has slowly begun to turn white on the sides. He wore a white suit with an ice blue tie. His old weapon from his huntsman days, a simple cutlass, hung on his left hip.

The two had met during their days at beacon academy, they weren't on the same team, but their teams worked with each other often. The two had gotten to know each other more before and after their graduation, and continued to work together as partners as huntsman.

However it had been years since either of them had taken a mission, since they had retired after a mission to kill Faunus assassins that had attempted to kill the Atlesian council, that had scarred them both.

However the scarring was different for them both, Willow had sworn to never step outside the Schnee mansion ever again, and had taken to alcohol to forget what happened on that horrid mission. While Jacque developed a racist view against the faunus, believing them to be more monsterous than Grimm.

But after the birth of Winter, Willow and Jacque had calmed down a bit, and even planned to let the girl to attend a combat school once she came of age.

Then a few years later Willow gave birth to Weiss and Siegfried, her twins, with Siegfried being the older of the two, by 20 minutes.

Her son was a bit odd she had to admit, he didn't cry when he was born, and as soon as he could open his eyes Willow could see an unnatural intelligence in his eyes. But that didn't matter to her, he was still her son after all.

(*ahem*)

Willow was torn from her throughts at the sound of Jacque clearing his throat.

Willow looked at the man.

"Yes dear?" Willow asked.

"Father has called us into his study." Jacque said, referring to his father-in-law, and her father.

Willow tilted her head in confusion.

"Did he say why he wants us?" Willow asked.

Jacque shook his head.

"No he didn't." Jacque said.

"Well then we shouldn't keep father waiting." Willow said earning a nod from Jacque, before the two walked towards her father's study.

With Nicholas Schnee.

Nicholas Schnee was always known as a kind, strong and influential man. He had survived the great war as a huntsman and fought alongside the forces of Mistral, against Vale and Vacuo. And was one of the members to witness the treaty formed at Vytal. He had also fought in the Faunus Rights Revolution, but instead of against them he fought alongside them, earning him a good reputation with the faunus, or atleast until he had given them the rights to Menagerie. The faunus believed that it was meant to be a corral to control their numbers when in reality it was meant to be the start of a Kingdom that Faunus could feel safe in. As such Nicholas had given the faunus the Island that was the ancestral home of the Schnee family, back during the age of magic.

Oh Nicholas knew of magic, his family semblance is of the last remaining that are capable of doing feats of magic, like speeding up time, or summoning the dead to fight for the user. But his family had kept it secret since the age of magic ended. Only the Family head, born of Schnee blood, was permitted to know of their origins.

That was reason that the 123 year old man, despite looking like he's 60, a side effect of mastering the use of his aura, had called his daughter and her husband into his study.

Dispite looking young for his age, he could tell his time was coming, in five or so years, and it was time to officially choose his successor.

Unfortunately his daughter, due to bloodline laws, was unable to succeed him as head of the family, as only the eldest son of the Schnee family was allowed to inherit. Jacque wasn't born a Schnee, but he did have business experience, seeing as he worked in Nicholas' business, after he retire from the huntsman life. But as a result has a racist view on the animalistic race, and it would cloud his mind if he were to succeed him, plus bloodline laws come into play again. He has to be born with Schnee blood to be able to succeed as the head.

But Nicholas already has chosen his heir. The twin of his second granddaughter Weiss, Siegfried. He had only been born a few month ago, and as such couldn't take the position of family head, yet. But when he comes of age, and graduates from a huntsman academy, as per Bloodline law, he would be allowed to succeed him. Until then Jacque would be a good regent.

But there's one problem... the laws require the heir to be born with the Schnee semblance. But he has the red eyes of the Ormr Clan, a clan of legendary warriors, and the founders and former monarchy of Mantle, all of which are said to have slain Leviathan class Grimm Dragons, single handedly.

So it's possible that he was born with the Ormr semblance, something that was kept hidden from the world, instead of the Schnee's. But the boy also has the White hair of the Schnee, a sign that he could possess the Schnee semblance.

Nicholas contemplated the possibilities, when something clicked.

"The boy could have both! He has the traits! ... but Semblance fusion is rare to the point of being unheard of." Nicholas muttered.

Nicholas then looked at his desk, to see a black book with a white sword glyph on the cover. The book itself has no Title but Nicholas knew what was in it. It's a book that details the entire semblance of the Schnee family. From summoning to even the lost Glyphs, glyphs that the Schnee lack the ability to use, these ones were magic in nature, and only those with Magical energy, Prana, could use.

Prana itself is a lost energy, due to the use being more harmful than aura, as such it became unused until it was eventually forgotten and finally completely disappeared, except by the ancient families of Remnant.

Nicholas tore his gaze from the black book to a pure white book with deep blue lettering, on the cover.

The history of the Ancient Families of Remnant: Schnee.

This book, like the cover states, was about the history of the ancient families, with this copy being about the Schnee family, from its history during the age of magic to the present time. The book was enchanted during the age of magic, to always have pages to write on, and to write the stories of every Schnee that ever existed. Nicholas had read through his own unfinished chapter numerous times, after each mission, and each time something new was added.

None of the previous owners of the book knew who created the book, not even the original Schnee, the only mention of the Creator was a single letter, O.

Nicholas knew that the other Ancient families, the Ormrs, the Arcs, and other's that Nicholas never personally met, each have their own version of the book.

Nicholas paused his thoughts as he heard a knock on his study door.

Nicholas inhaled and then exhaled, and in the tired old man's place was a warrior who had withstood and conquered every battlefield that came across him.

"Enter!" Nicholas commanded.

The door opened without a sound and in stepped Willow and Jacque.

"You called for us father?" Willow asked, her face serious, having heard the tone Nicholas used.

"Yes... I have news..." Nicholas began, taking care to not hesitate.

"What sort of news father?" Jacque asked.

Nicholas took a breath and steeled himself.

"In about five years time... my life will end." Nicholas stated.

Willow and Jacque's eyes widen.

"What!? Father how do you know!?" Jacque asked in shock.

Willow just stayed silent as she was in partial shock.

"In my lifetime I have fought battlefield after battlefield, and as such have mastered the use of aura... and have used it to preserve life for nearly 50 years... and finally my time has run out. My aura is draining at a rapid pace, faster than it can regenerate and it will completely run out in about 5 years..." Nicholas explained to the two.

Willow collapsed to her knees and sobbed, unable to take the news.

Jacque knelt down to comfort his wife.

Jacque looked up to his father-in-law.

"Father... who will take over for the family... when you're gone..." Jacque asked.

"That is the other matter I have called you both here for. My heir... will be your son... Siegfried." Nicholas said.

Jacque looked up in surprise.

"But father he is just a baby! He's not old enought to be the head of the family." Jacque tried to reason, he had seen what kind of stress that placed on his own brother, and it wasn't pretty, even if he mellowed out when he graduated from Beacon.

"Yes I understand your concern, seeing as you lived through similar circumstances, but that is why I have made you regent until Siegfried is of age." Nicholas said to Jacque, which drew a look of shock from Jacque and Willow.

"But father... wouldn't Willow be the better option!?" Jacque asked.

"No out of the two of you... since that mission 10 years ago... you, Jacque are the least broken, while Willow... I am sorry to say this but, it would be best if she led a stress free lifestyle with out the company weighing her down, so she can focus on the children." Nicholas said solemnly.

Willow flinched at the words, specifically the mention of that horrid mission.

"But I have my own condition, to allowing you to take over my company. As soon as Siegfried can walk and talk. I will be training him, and he will go to Beacon academy as I once did, as you both did. It is traditional for the Schnee to learn to become huntsman, and graduate from Beacon. My word is final on this matter." Nicholas said.

Jacque hesitated, but he nodded all the same.

Nicholas smiled and extended his hand, Jacque did the same and the two shook hands, sealing the deal.

A glyph lit up the room, and then died down.

Nicholas sealed the deal with the only magical glyph he could use... the Geass Glyph, it makes the two who sealed the deal unable to break the contract, or the one who broke it will have their soul ripped apart.

Just because Nicholas allowed his son-in-law to marry his daughter and take over his company doesn't mean he trusts the boy. Nicholas was no fool, he knew of what happened in the Ormr Household that led to Jacque being banished, back before he became a huntsman and went to Beacon.

And there was no way that he would allow Jacque to break his word, as such a Geass was necessary. After all if the Geass was capable of making waring nations stop fighting and stand side by side, then what was one little broken huntsman before it.

"Very well Jacque... it's seems we have a deal." Nicholas said with a dark, but knowing smile.

Jacque paled as he realized what Nicholas did.

It was at this moments that Jacque realized, he just made a deal with a devil... and if he doesn't deliver on his end... well the devil always gets his due.

[A/N: Fyew! Finally done. So what do ya think, better? I sure hope so. Anyways I don't have much to say as an end note. So I'll just let you go for now, be sure to come back when the next chapter comes out.
