Cap 2: Preparing for the mission
In this country, there were one those who called themselves shinobi.
They worked under feudal lords, making their living in espionage, sabotage, and assassination.
With the influx of Western culture after the Meiji Restoration, the feudal system began to collapse, and the shinobi were no longer spoken of.
Even so, however much time passes, the karma of man does not change.
There is always a need for those who dwell in darkness.
Yes.
The shinobi persist, even to this day.
Their employers now are primarly politicians and corporations.
Some of their clients see them only as tolos, assets to satisfy their own greed.
When the crimes of the shinobi world grew too rampant to ignore, the government chose to intervene.
And so the nation began a secret Project to train governmentsanctioned shinobi.
Hanzō National Academy.
A normal high school.
First established in1919, its total student body today is about 1000 people.
A few of those 1000 are studying to become shinobi.
A large academy, with a shinobi school within…
Hanzō Academy is a facade.
The shinobi students learn their craft in secret, unbeknownst to the rest of student body.
In modern times, shinobi allied with the state are known as "good shinobi", while those who break the law are called "evil shinobi"
That the two should come into conflicto seems no less tan destiny.
Regardless of circumstance, the good and evil trade death for death.
The story you are about to witness… is a record of these shinobi girls's battles.
Violent and sorrowful, and yet so vibranly alive.
What will the girls see beyond their battles?
What will they gain? And what will they lose?
That is still yet to be known.

(Asakusa)
You can see a girl (pretty beautiful by the way) with a red scarf on her neck sleeping standing up.
That girl is none other than Asuka, only she doesn't have the black uniform you saw her in in the interrogation room, but instead wears a white shirt with a navy blue tie and a skirt of the same color, keeping her white ribbon.
He had come home a little late because he stayed to train later than usual.
She came from a family of shinobis, her mother was an experienced shinobi, her grandmother had been a Kagura: the highest rank a shinobi can reach and her grandfather was the most respected and acclaimed shinobi of the generation, she logically seeing her family also wanted to be shinobi, which is why he had enrolled in the Hanzō National Academy.
She was tired due to the effort made by her body to which she still hadn't gotten used to it, so she fell asleep standing up before she got home.
She woke up for a moment when her realized that her was in front of her house, so he decided to go inside and later get into her bed to sleep.
"I'm here." Asuka warned as she entered her house.
The first thing she saw upon entering was her grandfather Hanzō and her grandmother Sayuri bowing before a photo.
"Ah, hello Asuka we hadn't seen you." said Hanzō, Asuka's grandfather, a rather older man with a beard who like Asuka, had his hair tied up in a ponytail.
Asuka could notice her grandfather's tone a little strange, he normally sounded very happy but right now... he sounded sad.
"Something bad happened?" asked Asuka a little worried.
"Don't worry honey, we're just remembering someone." said Sayuri, Asuka's grandmother, an elderly woman who like Asuka, wore a red scarf on her neck.
"Someone?" Asuka asked again.
"A friend of ours who died a few years ago today." Sayuri replied with a slightly sad smile on her face.
Asuka looked at the photo and saw that it was of a boy with dark blue hair with a fringe that hid his right eye, he was wearing a black uniform with a white shirt underneath, he had a black dress bow on his neck and some old headphones and on his face could be seen a slight smile.
Apparently this day was his death anniversary.
"That boy had a great future ahead of him." Hanzō said smiling wistfully.
"And what happened with him?" Asuka asked again.
"He sacrificed himself to save his friends… or so we were told." Sayuri replied.
"I see..." Asuka said before going to her grandparents and bowing together with them.
"Asuka?" Hanzō asked as he saw his granddaughter bow to the photo.
"I may not have known him when he was alive, but I can see that they held him in high esteem and for that I respect him." Asuka said smiling.
Both Hanzō and Sayuri felt happy for what Asuka said and the three of them prayed together to the photo of the boy, a few minutes later Asuka's parents came home so she decided to go to sleep
Before going to sleep, the heroine turned to her grandparents..
"By the way... I have a question, I hope you don't mind." Asuka said to her grandparents.
"There is no problem sweetheart, you can ask us whatever you want." Sayuri said.
"What was his name?" Asuka asked looking at the boy's photo.
Hanzō and Sayuri were thoughtful for a second, but decided to tell Asuka their friend's name.
"Yuki, his name was Makoto Yuki." Sayuri said.
A little while after lying on her bed she felt a slight headache.
Unbeknownst to her, that same night in another place a young man was arrested and their destinies would end up intertwined.
(Thursday 07/04)
(Asakusa: Hanzō Academy)
A month later Asuka had officially entered her second year of shinobi training, she had made friends with her companions with whom she got along quite well (despite the fact that they all had quite "interesting" personalities).
And right now you can see Asuka asleep standing up... again.
"Asuka." said a male voice that sounded older
"…I won´t be defeated. Iwon´t LET myself be defeated! Not until… I master the Path of Shinobi…" Said the heroine while talking in her sleep.
"Asuka, are you listening?" asked the older voice.
The heroine just laughed while still sleeping, she seemed to enjoy her dream.
"Asuka! Wake up!" commanded the older voice.
"What!?" Asuka exclaimed when she saw that she was still in her classroom.
"H-Huh? Was that a dream?" Asuka asked in disappointment as she fully woke up.
"Did you master the Path of Shinobi?" asked a forty-year-old man with white hair and a black suit sarcastically.
It was about Kiriya, Asuka's teacher and her companions in their shinobi training.
"Oh, Kiriya-sensei. How'd you know?" asked Asuka with a bit of embarrassment.
"Heh Heh. Because you were talking in your sleep. Oh! Mmm! And so on." A blonde girl with a blue headband said in a mocking tone.
Given this information, the heroine blushed.
This girl was Katsuragi, a classmate and friend of Asuka, sometimes (almost all the time) she was quite perverted with her, but still she's a good person and she's nice to her and the rest of her friends.
"Try to stay awake. It's time t oread up on Hidden Ninpo." Kiriya said to Asuka with a strict tone.
"Y-Yes, sir!" Asuka said quite nervously.
"In order to surpass one's own limits, one must call upon the power of nature itself. That's what it means to be a shinobi." Asuka explained as she read the text.
"As you know, Asuka has the toad, Ikaruga the phoenix, Katsuragi the dragon, Yagyū the squid, and Hibari the rabbit. Nature empowers your Hidden Ninpo. To use these abilities, your Hidden Ninpo Scroll must be at hand. Keep i ton your person at all times." Kiriya explained to her students.
"I keep mine under my skirt!" Katsuragi said.
"Mine's in my cleavage" Asuka said.
"Huh? Cleavage? You've got my attention. Lemme see how well it's hidden!" Katsuragi said as he began to drool and touch Asuka.
"K-Katsu-nee… S-Stop…" Asuka said embarrassed and blushing.
"Heh heh heh heh… calm brunette, it will only take a minute." Katsuragi said to Asuka in a flirtatious and mischievous manner.
"Katsuragi, please refrain from inappropriate touching in class. Continue Reading, Asuka." Kiriya said.
"Yes, sir. "The Chou Hidden Ninpo. As the name implies, it's a stronger form of Hidden Ninpo." …That's all it says." Asuka said after finishing the text.
"And why would that be all it says? There's a reason for that. It's because the Chou Hidden Ninpo Scroll is the pride and joy of our school, and its contents must be kept an absolute secret." Kiriya explained.
"Huh… I wonder what it says. I hope i get to read it someday." Asuka muttered to herself.
"Next up will be some basic martial arts instruction. All of you are to meet on the roof." Kiriya instructed.
A few minutes later, Asuka went to the roof of the school for today's lesson, Kiriya was already waiting for her and her classmates.
"There are those we call "evil shinobi." remember?" Kiriya asked her students.
"Yes, sir. We know." answered Asuka.
"They work for the bad guys, right? I'll show them a thing or two." said a girl with pink hair who was wearing several bows on her head and had purple eyes with pink pupils that were a bit strange.
This girl was Hibari, another of Asuka's friends, she was aware that she was not the strongest or the most experienced (or the most intelligent) within the group, but she had every intention of becoming a great shinobi along with her friends, that's why she tried hard.
"All of you were shinobi from the moment you set foot in this school. You will have to learn to let go of your feelings, I'm going train you all to full-fledged shinobi. So prepare yourselves for what awaits you." Kiriya warned his students.
"Yes, sir!" both girls answered.
Taking advantage of the fact that no one was on the roof, the girls began their combat training using some mannequins that Kiriya created with his Hidden Ninpo, Asuka only had to do one thing: destroy all the mannequins in the shortest possible time.
The heroine got into position to start.
(Cue: Shinobi Training For Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal)
"Very well, I will show you a dance cloaked in shadow." Asuka said, invoking her weapons: two wakizashi swords.
She quickly launched herself against the mannequins, cutting them at high speed and with great precision, each time she finished with one, a lot more sores, but she remembered what she had been learning the last few weeks and the movements she had been practicing.
She quickly realized that he was cutting them much slower as the amount put in one place increased, so he tossed a few up to separate them and with great speed reduced them into many small pieces.
She jumped, slashed, dashed, dodged, blocked, and grabbed multiple times until he decided to up the intensity.
"Here i go! Shinobi…Tenshin!" Asuka said as she made a seal with her hands so that later her body began to glow.
Her uniform disappeared and she changed into a yellow cloth vest over a white shirt with green details on the sleeves and a tie of the same color, a checkered skirt also in green, a pair of long stockings that reached her thighs, brown dress shoes and some dark colored and red bracelets with bandages under them.
Obviously keeping the white ribbon of her hair and her red scarf.
"Now... This is going to get uglier for you." said the heroine with great confidence in her tone.
If a few moments ago it seemed that she was cutting them at great speed, now it was barely visible, Asuka began to cut the mannequins at superhuman speed, with great power and skill but still looking with an enormous amount of beauty and elegance.
Great determination was seen in his eyes, which stared at his targets as he destroyed them.
It was just art at its best.
Parts of the mannequins were flying everywhere as the heroin finished off each and every one of them...
Until there are none left.
(Stop Music)
"Yahu! No one' here. I wonder if i'm the first to finish." Asuka said with a lot of pride and enthusiasm.
He had clearly shown that he had a great talent for being a shinobi and a great passion for what he did, what she did not expect was that... she was not even close to his maximum.
"First? indeed. You and Hibari are the only ones left." Kiriya said with a rather flat tone.
Asuka was taken aback upon hearing that, apparently she got so excited during her training that she forgot to measure her time.
The rest of her companions had already finished half an hour ago.
"Once Hibari returns, the two of you are to join them." Kiriya said to Asuka.
"Yes, sir…" Asuka replied with a frustrated tone.
"Hmmm... Maybe I'm not really cut out for this." Asuka said to herself with a sad tone.
In case you're wondering, Hibari ended up about 15 minutes after Asuka.
Shortly after class Asuka sat down to reflect and realized that she had not improved as much as she would have liked despite constant training.
"Is this how losers feel?" Asuka asked herself dejectedly.
At that moment the heroine felt something big, heavy, round and very soft on top of her head.
She looked up and saw that it was Hibari's breasts.
Asuka could also notice that Hibari was looking at her very appreciatively while smiling.
"Calm down Asuka, we know you're doing the best you can." said Katsuragi who was next to Asuka from one moment to the next.
"W-were you listening to me?" Asuka asked a little embarrassed seeing her friends come to cheer her on.
"You are taking things very seriously, you just need to relax, we know that you are doing the best you can." Katsuragi said with a friendly tone wanting to cheer Asuka up.
"Well... yes but..." Asuka tried to say before being interrupted.
"Don't worry, you did well in training." Hibari said as she hugged Asuka lovingly.
"You made a slight mistake, just don't do it again, it's that easy." Katsuragi said as she soooooo casually approach Asuka (more specifically her breasts).
"I just... don't want to fail." Asuka said a little nervously (definitely because she knew what her friend wanted to do to her).
"You don't have to worry about anything, we are also going to do the best we can." Katsuragi said as she moved even closer to Asuka.
"Um... Ok, th-thanks for trying to cheer me up Katsu-nee, but..." Asuka said as she tried to run away... Until she realized why Hibari was holding her.
"I'm dead." Asuka thought as Hibari hugged her tight (and loving).
A second before starting to touch Asuka, Katsuragi turned her head in another direction.
"If you are here then you should also have an opinion about it, don't you think so Yagyu?" Katsuragi said casually.
Right in the direction in which she was looking, a girl with white hair was hiding, she had her hair tied into two ponytails using two black bows, she had red eyes and on her right eye she wore an eyepatch.
She was Yagyu, she was a bit cold and aloof at times but also her attitude was quite nice with her friends, she had a great talent as a shinobi despite being in her first year but she didn't like to brag about it, she got along with Hibari (spoiler alert: she's SIMP!).
"Those things don't interest me." Yagyu said with a disinterested face.
"And yet you were listening honey." Katsuragi said with a mocking tone.
"Well... But I must say that I agree, you can't let a mistake
It affects you so much, if you stress about it instead of solving it, you will not be the only one affected, it will affect our teamwork." said Yagyu to Asuka.
The heroine thought about the advice and words of support from her friends and saw that they were right, the thing with mistakes is to learn from them and see how not to repeat them again.
If she couldn't see that fact, she couldn't become a shinobi.
"Well, I'll keep trying to one day become a great shinobi, just like all of you." Asuka told her friends.
At that moment, one last girl was arriving (to say that she was gorgeous is an understatement).
This girl was moderately tall, her hair was black in color, straight and too long, her dark blue eyes were deep and her face was unbelievably beautiful, not to mention her body was quite sultry and attractive.
She was Ikaruga, she was a bit boring and temperamental, but she was also a very trustworthy person and someone very kind who you could count on when you needed it.
"Hey, I poured some tea in the shinobi room if you want." Ikaruga said to the rest of the girls.
"Thank you very much Ikaruga-san." Asuka said happily.
"Is there some ramen for your best friend?" asked Katsuragi in a kindly laughing manner.
"No." Ikaruga replied almost automatically.
Katsuragi stood still quite offended at that.
These girls were quite special in their own way.
A while later the five girls were relaxing drinking tea, talking about trivial things, enjoying their company until their teacher came to inform them of something.
Quite an important mission.
"Ladies, we have a rather urgent request to attend to." Kiriya said flatly.
"What is happening Kiriya-sensei?" asked Ikaruga.
"Evil shinobi have been detected on the school premises." Kiriya reported.
At that the group was shocked, suddenly they all felt a chill run down their backs.
"What?! Where are they right now?!" Katsuragi asked as she got into a fighting stance.
"Don't worry, we have managed to expel them from here." Kiriya informed to calm his students down.
"Why have they come here in the first place?" Asuka asked worriedly.
"Judging by their actions during their infiltration they wanted to steal the Chou Hidden Ninpo Scroll." Kiriya thought aloud.
"How did we not notice before?" asked Hibari in shock.
"It hasn't been long since they infiltrated, luckily they were weak so we managed to subdue them." Kiriya reported.
"Where will they have come from?" Yagyu asked.
"We don't know yet, but we're going to make the evil shinobi we're taking hostage talk." Kiriya reported.
"What will we do if they attack again?" asked Ikaruga concerned.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about, it's dangerous to keep the scroll here since its location is known, and so you five girls should use false identities and take care of it in another place until we find where it's safe." Kiriya explained to the group.
"Good plan but... Where will we be in the meantime?" asked Ikaruga with a bit of doubt.
"They will have to go to a quieter place in Tokyo so that they do not attract the attention of the enemy; they could go to the Yongen-Jaya neighborhood." Kiriya said.
"Yongen-Jaya... I've heard of that place, it's quite calm and nobody does a big thing there. " Yagyu said thoughtfully.
"That is why we will send them there, since it is a neighborhood with few people there is less possibility that they will look for them there and there will not be as many civilians involved if a conflict happens." Kiriya explained.
"When will we leave?" Ikaruga asked.
"We are still seeing that. I'll tell you when you have to leave, meanwhile you five go get ready." Kriya explained.
"We're going to do it, sensei." said the five girls.
At noon Asuka packed a few things that she was going to use on her imminent trip to Yongen-Jaya.
Only three changes of clothes, toiletries, and her scroll.
Before continuing packing, she went to tell her parents about her mission.
They took it... Pretty good... I think.
"Don't worry... We'll be back as soon as the scroll is safe." Asuka said to her parents as they hugged her too tight to keep her from moving.
Now that she thought about it, she didn't know how long she would be gone, tomorrow she would ask Kiriya how long the mission would last.
She went to her room and began to do some physical exercise to kill time, after a while she received a message from her classmates.
Ikaruga: Kiriya-sensei has talked to me, he says we'll have to use fake identities to blend in with people while protecting the scroll.
Yagyu: What are these false identities going to be? We need all the information possible if we want to accomplish the mission.
Katsuragi: It seems Ikaruga and I are going to be employed at a small shop in the underground mall.
Hibari: That sounds great! What about the rest of us?
Ikaruga: The three of you will be ordinary high school students, Yagyu-san and Hibari-san at Kosei high school and Asuka-san at Shujin high school, both of which are relatively close to Yongen-Jaya.
Katsuragi: Apparently both schools were the best option to cover more ground in terms of surveillance.
Yagyu: It's fine with me, the more space we cover, less opportunity the enemy has to steal the scroll.
Hibari: It's fine with me too, after all I'll be together with Yagyu-chan.
Katsuragi: What do you think Asuka?
The heroine also thought that it was better to cover as much space as possible, but she didn't like the idea of not being with any of her companions, her answer had to be simple.
Asuka: I guess it will be for the best, I think we can all adapt quickly.
Ikaruga: It seems that we all understand what we should do, tomorrow we will take the train to Yongen-Jaya and go to our headquarters there: the Bethel apartment building, wait for further instructions.
Katsuragi: This mission is a piece of cake, so don't worry.
Before the conversation ended, Asuka took the opportunity to ask her question.
Asuka: Excuse me, I have a question. Did Kiriya-sensei happen to say how long are we going to be protecting the scroll?
Ikaruga: Oh yes, he said that it will most likely take at least a year to find a safe place, since it seems they have found most of the safe places we had to keep it.
Asuka was surprised by this news, she believed that it would take only a few weeks and they would return to Asakusa after that.
Katsuragi: WHAT?! How did that happen?
Ikaruga: Apparently the enemy knew that we would flee from him that is why they have gone ahead and destroyed most of the academy's warehouses.
Yagyu: I think they want to set us up.
Ikaruga: I guess it's too late to change plans, our only option is to be smarter than them and above all stronger.
Ikaruga: If no one else has something to ask I suggest you rest, tomorrow we will have a hard day.
Katsuragi: Good night girls tomorrow will be an important day.
Hibari: Goodnight everyone.
Yagyu: Rest everyone.
Asuka: Yes, good night, sleep well.
After putting away her phone, Asuka was thoughtful before the information she had just received, she would have to leave home for a year, although she had left for a month to train and be ready for her second year, but a whole year? She didn't know if she would be layers of that.
"Well... I'd better get used to it; I don't think anything bad will happen." Asuka thought to herself.
Before going to sleep, she felt the same headache that she had a month ago, only slightly stronger.
After a few minutes she fell asleep.
(Friday 08/04)
(Asakusa: Train station)
The next day the girls were waiting for the train that would take them to Yongen-Jaya, luckily they arrived early so they were able to catch the train just in time.
Asuka looked through the window of the train and saw how every second Asakusa got further and further away.
Part of her was very excited because of this mission since being so important she could finally prove her worth.
At last she was going to show that she lived up to the expectations of others and would be one step closer to fulfilling her dream.
(Shibuya: Crossing)
After a while the girls arrived at the iconic Shibuya Crossing where they got off to take another train that would arrive at Yongen-Jaya and at that moment something very VERY strange happened.
Asuka was looking at her phone to see where the train station to Yongen-Jaya was when she saw all the people passing by, the next second she saw something that wasn't supposed to be there.
It was a red icon with a very strange logo that looked like an eye with a star in the center.
The heroine tried to remove it from the screen of her phone but she couldn't do it and she noticed that people began to walk more slowly until they all froze completely; it was as if time had stopped around her.
No one, not even her companions moved an inch and when she thought that nothing could be more strange, she saw a huge blue flame in the middle of the crowd that was taking on a humanoid shape.
In said humanoid figure, one piercing and terrifying red eyes appeared and while the blue flame disappeared, her face appeared with a huge smile and strange yellow eyes, as if her reflection was looking at her.
"…KA… SUKA… ASUKA…" she began to hear a voice calling her.
"Asuka, are you alright?" Yagyu asked Asuka.
The next second she realized that everyone around her was already moving normally.
"You were stopped for a second very suddenly, also it seemed that you were very scared." Ikaruga said to Asuka.
Apparently none of them seemed to have realized what happened to the icon and the people.
"Don't worry, I'm fine, it was just something that crossed my mind for a moment." Asuka said while smiling nervously.
"Well, we'd better hurry if we want to get to the train on time." Ikaruga said as the group continued on their way.
Asuka immediately looked back at her phone and saw the strange icon again.
Without wasting a second, she deleted the icon from her phone and went with her friends to the train.
(Yongen-Jaya: Streets)
Upon getting off the train, the girls had finally reached their destination: the Yongen-Jaya neighborhood. Which was quite calm and with very few people passing around, there were several stores that covered many basic needs such as a second-hand store, a clinic, a food store, there was even a cafe and community bathrooms.
Also for some reason there was background music (quite good and pleasant by the way).
"This song is very relaxing." Asuka said smiling.
"I'm a shape shifter, at Poe's masquerade, hiding both face and mind, all free for you to draw…" Katsuragi hummed when he heard the background music as she found it very pleasant.
The group walked for a while until they came to a black building with a door on the right hand side next to a two-story house.
"Here it is: the Bethel apartment building." Yagyu said.
"It would be better if we go to our department to plan what we will do starting tomorrow." suggested Ikaruga to the rest of the group.
All the girls nodded their heads and together they entered the building.
The corridors were narrow and short, there were four rooms per floor.
The room where the group would stay during this year will be 301.
The girls entered the apartment and saw that it was big enough for the five of them with a living room, three bedrooms and a bathroom, it also had facilities for basic household items: stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, a shower, a small table, a desk, a sofa for three people, a television, and two beds for two people.
Left their luggage by the beds and sat down on the sofa to discuss their plans.
"Very well, this is the situation: everyone here knows that our enemy will be looking for us starting tomorrow and we also know that the enemy knows that we will do the same." explained Ikaruga to the rest of the group.
"That means that right now we are both hunter and hunted." Katsuragi concluded with what Ikaruga said.
"Exactly." Ikaruga stated.
"What are we supposed to do in this situation? Hiding ourselves all the time cannot be an option since we would only cause more suspicion in the surroundings and those suspicions will attract the enemy." Yagyu said.
"Going out all together to watch is not an option either, they could ambush us and we would be easy prey." Ikaruga refuted.
"Do we even know if the enemy knows us?" Katsuragi asked doubtfully.
"That is why you have to keep a low profile." Ikaruga explained.
"What would be the best solution to prevent the scroll from being stolen while we search for them?" Hibari asked.
"Any suggestions Asuka?" Katsuragi asked.
Asuka thought about the current situation, they needed a way to keep an eye on the scroll but at the same time look for the enemies, carrying the scroll everywhere was too risky, leaving it in the apartment as well since there would be no one to protect it... Unless that if there is someone.
"What if someone stays here to guard the scroll while the rest of us search for the enemy?" Asuka asked.
"Explain yourself better." Ikaruga said.
"If we take the scroll with us everywhere we risk losing it or having it stolen and if we leave it here there will be no one to prevent it from being stolen, if someone stays here they can keep an eye on the scroll while the rest of us concentrate on look for the enemy." Asuka said explaining her idea to the rest of her friends.
"That's a good idea, but someone will have to get here early." Ikaruga said.
"Also, I think we should take turns." Yagyu said.
"Who will go first?" Hibari asked.
"If you all want I can watch the first week." Katsuragi said casually.
"Then we are going to decide the order of how we will take turns, for now we are going to rest a bit, we need to go for a few things before officially starting the mission." Yagyu said.
"Like what?" Asuka asked.
"I think we will have to buy enough food for the week, after all it is very likely that we will stay here for a long time." Yagyu replied.
"Well, very good. Who among us is going?" Asuka asked.
"You." the rest of the group said to the heroine.
After her teammates gave her money and made her go shopping (unfortunately for her), Asuka returned with everything she needed to endure her and her teammates' first week in Yongen-Jaya and by pure chance she ran into someone who would be quite important to her in the future.
"Ouch!" said Asuka and a girl she had bumped into at the same time.
"Oh! Sorry, I didn't see where I was going." Asuka said very embarrassed.
"Nah, don't worry, nothing happened." the girl said as she and Asuka stood up.
When they got up Asuka could see the girl better, she had tanned skin and blue eyes, her hair was brown and quite long and like her she wore a white ribbon in her hair.
"Well... but still..." Asuka tried to say before being interrupted.
"Seriously, don't worry, I'm fine, by the way, you dropped this." said the girl.
The girl picked up a coin and handed it back to Asuka.
"If you say so... I'm Asuka, by the way." Asuka said introducing herself.
"Homura." said the girl introducing herself.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Homura-chan, I hope we can see each other more often." Asuka said smiling.
"Pff... whatever you say, take care." Homura said before leaving.
"Of course, take care of yourself too." Asuka said saying goodbye to Homura.
"OMG, that girl looks so friendly." the heroine thought to herself as she returned to the base.
Back at the base, Asuka handed out the groceries to her teammates and saw that they had something to give her.
"Hey, Asuka-san, we have something to give you for the undercover mission, it's the uniform you'll wear." Ikaruga said.
This uniform consisted of a black jacket with red buttons, a turtleneck polo shirt, and a red plaid skirt.
That's right, it's the same uniform she was wearing in the interrogation room.
"Wow, it looks pretty good." said the heroine when she saw her uniform.
"And it will look much better as soon as you put it on sweetheart." Katsuragi said flirtatiously as he started touching Asuka making her blush.
"W-wait! K-Katsu-nee!" Asuka said very blushing and embarrassed.
"Anyway, first of all Katsuragi-san, behave!" Ikaruga shouted angrily.
The next second Katsuragi released Asuka.
"Ok since that's settled, we've already arranged your papers at Shujin, on Monday you'll have to report to the teacher's lounge." Ikaruga said calmer.
"Understood, I'll go, I'll pretend to be a normal student and we'll be protecting the scroll quietly until next year." Asuka said with determination.
"Very well, for the next two days we will only do reconnaissance of the area, so everyone can get used to the environment." Ikaruga said.
"Yes, Miss!" the rest of the group responded.
"Well it's getting late, let's go to sleep." Ikaruga said.
"I ask to sleep with you." Katsuragi said quickly.
"Ahh… Okay... But on separate sides of the bed." Ikaruga said.
"Damn." Katsuragi said frustrated.
"I c-can share the bed w-with Hibari." Yagyu said blushing.
"Oh OK." Hibari said innocently.
"Oh well and I... I think I'll sleep on the couch... Alone." the heroine said slowly as she realized her situation.
With all the girls agreeing with their bedmates (and by 'agreeing' I mean Katsuragi and Yagyu's carnal desires) they all went to sleep.
Before going to sleep, the heroine began to think once again about how long they were going to stay in Yongen-Jaya and although she was still not completely sure, she decided not to give the matter any more thought and went to sleep.
What she didn't know is that she was going to live an experience that would change her life and the world forever as soon as she fell asleep.
(Present)
(?: Interrogation room)
Back in the present, Asuka can be seen continuing her conversation with Sae.
"So you're telling me that you're actually a ninja girl who came to downtown Tokyo on an undercover mission? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?" Sae said with her eyebrow raised.
"It's the truth, it's what I came here for in the first place and it's supposed to be a secret." said the heroine trying to convince Sae.
"It rather sounds like you are trying to evade the consequences of your actions with absurd lies. You better tell me the truth once and for all!" Sae demanded of the heroine.
"It's the truth! Why would I try to lie if I'm trapped here with no way to escape? and neither my friends, nor my brother, nor you, nor anyone can get me out of here at this moment, the only thing I want is for the truth behind my actions to be known, I want you to at least believe me Sae-san." Asuka said with a stressed tone.
Sae could see the determination in Asuka's eyes, but at no time did she see signs of any lie or deception to get her way, so she decided to give her a chance to listen to her.
"Okay, for now I'll assume that you're telling the truth and all those things you tell me are true. Is there anything else that's supposed to be secret?" Sae asked.
"Well... Actually yes and that secret thing has to do with the origin of the Phantom Thieves and their powers. Our powers." Asuka said.
Sae began to feel curious about what Asuka had to say.
"That thing started with a strange 'dream' so to speak that I had, where I met two quite strange people." Asuka said before continuing with her story.
Hello beautiful people, once again the great yonamikaze854 arrives with a new chapter of my tribute to the legend of the sexiest and most charismatic girls in videogames and the epic story of the best game in history called Kagura 5: Shinovi Phantom (route Ultimate Shadow)… ONE YEAR LATE.
Dude, a billion things have happened this year since I published the first chapter of this fanfic (which didn't do as well as I thought it would hehe...) among them that I graduated from technical high school and now I'm one week before finishing the first semester of university.
Also here among us, I started writing said first chapter in December 2022 to release it in January 2023 and, as everyone knows, I ended up uploading it in March 2023.
I have been writing this chapter since the day I published the first one and look, I ended up releasing it in December 2023.
But hey, now that I have a second chapter uploaded, I'm going to take the opportunity to establish a few rules for this.
Taking advantage of the fact that I read a few Persona fanfics, among them Senran Persona: Ninjas of Hearts by the author UknowHero, which was not only the first Pesona x Senran Kagura fanfic, but it is also the longest and best of all and Persona 4: Snowy Spring by the author Lyall the Werewolf which came out almost at the same time as Kagura 5 (I just update it more constantly) I know what I should do.
Number 1: there is a certain character from Persona 5 that I HATE who is supposedly a main character but is super irrelevant to the plot and to the group besides the fact that he only says stupid things every time he speaks, is going to appear but will not participate in history and don't worry, the majority will not miss it.
Number 2: Ren Amamiya, the original protagonist of Persona 5 will appear and be part of the team, but he will not be the protagonist at least not for now since I have big plans for him in the future, so here the protagonist will be Asuka with everything that it entails (wild card, social links, leadership, etc.).
Number 3: this story is going to be completed, I don't care how successful it is or how many years it takes to make it, I am going to complete it.
Number 4: in addition to Ultimate Shadow I am also going to update at the same time the other route of this story: Burst, which will have several changes with respect to Ultimate Shadow and after these two routes I will make a third where now Ren will be the protagonist, I can't do it right now since the plan is for the three routes to be combined, which makes Ultimate Shadow and Burst necessary so that it doesn't feel strange.
Number 5: even after finishing the three routes I am going to do more things from Kagura 5, Re:Newal Royal, Esteval Strikers, Wave X, Link Tactica, the dance game, a version of Q2 where there will also be Persona 3 and 4 fanfics what I'm planning, many possibilities and yes I know it sounds very ambitious but I want to do it or die trying.
And don't worry, I'm not going to dedicate myself only to this, there are going to be other crossover fanfics of both Persona 5 and Senran Kagura and other fanfics crossover that are not going to have to do with these two franchises, including my new fanfic that will be released in February 2024 The Amazing Spider-Clover.
And well, there is nothing more to say, thank you for taking the time to read this and see you in the year 3408 when the third chapter comes out.
Next chapter: The place between mind and matter.
