Part 2, set just after the battle of Hoover Dam. Hope you all enjoy!

Darkness and Light, Into the Chaos!

"So...I found some upgrades to make myself more assertive." Yes Man explained. "That way I only really listen to you and your friends. But I'm gonna have to go offline for a while in order to install them."

"Will the Securitrons still listen to my orders?" Red asked, one eye on the NCR soldiers running from the dam with their tails between their legs.

"Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem." Yes Man assured.

"What about the ones already storming the Fort? You know what I'll do if any of them harm her." Red asked threateningly

"Not to worry, they should be bringing her down shortly." was the chipper reply

"Then do what you need to." she replied before turning to the rest. "Wipe out every man in Legion colors! The slaves and children are not to be harmed!" she barked as the robots wheeled up the hill towards the Fort proper, gunning down any opposition as they went. Red followed at a distance, letting them do their work so she didn't waste ammo. Not to mention...

She had someone to see.

...

Siri was working to create the healing powders as normal when she saw the Securitrons roll out from the strange bunker by the back wall. They gunned down anything that attacked them, so naturally Siri just hid and hoped they wouldn't kill her. To her immense horror, one rolled right up to her. "Please, no!" she cried.

The Securitron, to her surprise, didn't fire. "Are you the slave known as Siri?" it asked.

"Y-yes, that's me." she replied fearfully.

"Priority One Objective: Secure Subject:Siri's safety and escort her to the boss unharmed, engaged. Please follow me." the robot requested as it turned, rolling towards the gate. Turning, it repeated, "Please follow me." when it saw Siri hadn't moved.

Getting up on shaky legs, Siri began walking towards the robot, following it down the hill as she saw an army of robots making its way up, gunning down any Legionary that crossed their path. "Wh-who is your boss?" she asked.

"Siri!" A familiar voice called out, causing the slave to look towards the robots only to see a familiar redhead running at her full sprint. Red enveloped her in a hug that hurt a bit with how strong she was. "I'm so glad you're safe. My Securitrons didn't hurt you, did they?" she asked.

"Scared me half to death, but I'm ok." Siri assured, returning the hug. "But...how did you?"

"A lot of planning and more than a little backstabbing. Long story." Red replied with a giggle as she loosened the hug enough to pull back and look into Siri's eyes. "But it's over. The Legion is finished, NCR is pulling out, the Mojave is mine."

"Then...that means..." Siri gasped, barely daring to say the words.

"You're free." was the soft reply. "You and every other slave in this Fort. I've already set up refugee camps to bring them to until they're fit to lead their own lives. You're all free. It's over."

Siri couldn't help it. The weight of those words crashing into her, she cried in relief. She wouldn't have to wake up only to fear getting beaten, raped, and worked to the bone all in the same day. She could finally finish her studies. She could live a normal life, or at least as normal as anything in the Wasteland, she was FREE. "Wh-why?" she asked.

"Why go through all this trouble?" Red asked with a chuckle. "Because I'm offering something no one in the Mojave had. House wanted the past. NCR and the Legion wanted the present. But what I want...is tomorrow." she explained. "A tomorrow where anyone can choose what they want to be, who they want to love, how they want to live. That will be what the Mojave will be."

Siri just stared at the Courier. Such a thing sounded like a fantasy...but it was a fantasy she would gladly be a part of. "Is there somewhere...somewhere I can study how to be a doctor?" she asked.

"Julie is already waiting for you at the Old Morman Fort in Freeside." Red replied with a smile, leading Siri down the path to Hoover Dam. "Come on. It's time to see tomorrow."

Siri was happy to follow Red, Veronica watching them with a smile. The Courier had told the Brotherhood Scribe of her feelings for the aspiring doctor, and why she would crush the Legion when the time was right. Thinking of her own feelings for Christine, Veronica knew she would have to talk to Red about where her old girlfriend was...but for now, she'd let Red enjoy the company of the woman she loved.

And that is chapter 2! One chapter left, and I'm still thinking on if I want to make it M rated or not. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Leave a review with your thoughts and I'll see you all next time!
