No One's POV
"Thanks for coming with me, Locky," Eleanor smiles up at Laxus, leaning up on her tip toes to give him a hug, pressing a light kiss against his cheek as a thank you.
"It was nothing," Laxus coughs out, turning to look away to hide the slight tint in his face.
"See you tomorrow then?" She offers.
"Yes," Laxus nods shortly, silently hoping he could think of an excuse to draw things out but coming up empty; his inner dragon would always want more time with his mate, especially considering they were unbonded and he smelled Mystogan all over his mate's house, setting his protective and territorial instincts on edge.
"Okay, tomorrow then. Good night, Laxus." Eleanor waves, walking into her small-town house.
"Good night, Ellie," Laxus sighs, shrugging his familiar fur coat over his shoulder, turning away from her house, only to grit his teeth as he catches movement through her window of her and Mystogan, his mood immediately dropping, causing his shoulders to stiffen as he walks back home now no longer in the mood to even drop by and say hello to the Thunder Legion.
"How was your time out?" Mystogan questions, moving nearly silently into the living room as Eleanor returns home.
"It was good, thank you." Eleanor smiles at the mysterious S-class wizard; she was one of the privileged few who not only saw his real face, but also worked as his partner. However, that was more or less because she had befriended him upon his admission to the guild. "It is nice to be back."
"I do admit that being back home for a while is nice." Mystogan replies, his eyes portraying his emotions despite his otherwise solemn and serious expression.
"You know, it wouldn't hurt to socialize with more than just me," Eleanor tries to encourage. "You and Laxus used to get along when we were all younger."
"We all grew up, Ellie," Mystogan simply shrugs enigmatically, not giving any more away.
"Alright," Eleanor sighs, knowing she won't get more out of her childhood friend. "Have you eaten?"
"I was waiting for you."
"Okay, then let's cook something."
