Two dozen wands pointed at me, all glowing with different colored energy. Green, being the most common. Fear had been replaced with cold certainty a long time ago. There was only one who could stand against me now and he was not here.

"You'll die here, Potter!" The cloaked leader shouted. A man, by the sound of his voice.

I didn't respond.

Spells started flying towards me. I slashed my wand upward and a wall of earth raised intercepting the majority aimed at me. Another flick of my wand collapsed it. A third flick turned the nearby trees into shrapnel, I stabbed my wand at the men. The shrapnel impaled a few and forced the rest to raise a shield. A green light ripped by my face, closer than I should have allowed. Rage makes you sloppy.

I cast a bunker shield: more draining than a typical duelers shield but I would need time for this. I began muttering an incantation. An ancient incantation from a time long passed. Useful against a group in an environment like this.

"Mother of Earth, I beseech you, aid me in cleansing this land of corruption, send me your children to smite our foes"

The ground shook. From behind the group a massive figure rose from the earth. A stone fist struck the first victim's body, crushing him. The second fell to a backhand, sending him crashing into a nearby tree.

Half the group turned to deal with this new threat. They began to panic. I capitalized. Vines erupted from the ground under the group wrapping themselves around their legs. A roaring fireball left my wand, making contact and melting flesh.

The elemental turned his gaze on the last of the enemies. Disapparation pops rang through the clearing to no avail…my wards held strong. The final wizard standing fell to his knees.

"Please, mercy. Let me go Potter, I swear you will never see me again"

A cutting curse takes his head from his shoulders.

Albus would have let him live. Albus was gone…
