So, Austin always gave me vibes of autistic codded character. I actually thought that what the teacher will tell Georgia. But season two gave us really fun detail, Paul has an autistic brother, so I'm going to rewrite the conversation about Austin with a part about autism because I do think Paul will see the signs, especially since his brother have autism. For the sake of the fanfic Paul told Georgia Chris has autism before the thanksgiving dinner, so she knows about that.

English isn't my native language, so forgive me for any minor mistakes.

Disclaimer: Ginny and Georgia belong to Netflix. I don't own anything. Some of the sentences are from the conversation between Paul and Georgia in season 2 episode 4.

There is a use of the R word, it wasn't easy for me to write it and it might be harsh to read it.

Paul knew he should do this conversation with Georgia at some point. He noticed the signs he recognized them because of his brother Chris, he been through this before. That's why it hasn't surprised him to hear Austin's teacher recommended he'll meet the guidance counselor. Everyone else probably thought he was acting weird because he is the new kids and he has hard time getting used to a new place. But he could see it's not about that and he was glad there were good teachers in his town that will notice as well. The main problem was Georgia, she cares for her kids deeply but giving them the help they need like therapy wasn't something she'll do. She will dismiss the problem and pretend it's not there. But it's something that's needed to be checked, as soon as Austin will get diagnose, he could get sources to fit in. Paul just needs to figure out how to do this conversation with Georgia without her getting mad and running off.

After the lighten moment in their bedroom Paul decided it's could be a good time to talk about it. "Can I ask you something without you getting mad?"

"Mm, no promises," Georgia answered him.

"Austin. Could you help me understand why you wouldn't do what his teacher recommend..." Paul started to say.

Georgia cut him off before he finished, "I'm mad."

Paul took a breath, "I'm serious. Look, I... I watched my parents go through these things with Chris."

"Austin and Chris aren't the same." Georgia stopped him.

Paul took another deep breath, "Georgia, I think they are..."

"What?! Why would you even say that thing? My son is not like him!" Georgia got up from the bed furious.

"I know it's not an easy thing for a parent to hear, but being different is not something bad." Paul tried to explain.

"You don't have a reason to think that is the case, he is not like that, he is completely normal." Georgia told him.

"Georgia, I know the signs, he stops talking when he stressed, always talking about Harry Potter, he is very observant, some voices make him feel uncomfortable, he took promises very seriously, the glasses are transitional object, he gets bullied and he really deep in his imagination world sometimes." Paul counted several of the things he noticed.

"That's because he is a child, it's not mean he is you know." Georgia stated.

"You can say the word 'autism', it's not something bad." Paul told her softly.

"No, I do not have a reason to say that because it's not his case, he gets bullied because he is the new kid and he allowed to love Harry Potter!" Georgia declared, pacing in the room.

"I know but he could benefit from a little extra attention and there are resources available to help him." Paul tried to reasoned with her.

"I'm not slapping a label on him that'll follow him around his whole life. That changes how the world will sees him." Georgia said.

"The world anyway thinks he is weird, they can see he is different. It's doesn't matter how much you try to hide it or deny it the people are noticed, and they laugh about you and don't want to be friends with you and it's harsh, and try to pretend that everything is fine and normal won't help. I had it with Chris, I thought if I won't tell anyone he has autism so everyone think he is normal but they it's not working like that, they all noticed, kids know how to recognized difference and they pick him up as a target and making him outcast. Chris suffered a lot because of that, and he can't hide you see right away he is autistic," Paul told her, gulping, it was hard for him to talk about Chris like that, he wasn't ashamed in his brother but it wasn't easy to talk about this stuff.

"No, Ginny never had friends as well, it's because we are always moving from one place to another not because he is not normal. He is fine, and I don't want to talk about this!" Georgia stated, trying to finished the conversation.

"Why deny him the help he needs? We should listen to the teacher and checked it out." Paul still tried to push, this conversation did not go well, but he wanted to help Austin.

"I'm sorry, 'we'?! You are not his father, they're not your kids!" Georgia snapped.

"Wow..." Paul didn't know what to say.

"That's came too harsh. I just mean that I've got it. Okay? That's all." Georgia tried to peace with him and sat back on the bed.

"No. You know what? I hear you loud and clear. Okay? Boundary is very well set, I will not try to help Austin even if I know how hard it can be and I have the experience about this subject, but clearly you don't want it." He got up from the bed and walked few steps away.

"It's just that it was always me with them, the three of us against the world, it's not easy to let someone in and have opinions about my kids." Georgia tried to explain.

"I'm living in your house, I get it that you got use to be all alone with them, but now I'm here for help. I know you didn't have the money for this extra stuff all those years, but now I'm here with you and I can make sure he gets the help and resources he needs and I'll be here to help you deal with that. Having a special kid is not the end of the world." Paul still tried.

"He is special as every other kid but he is not retartded and I don't want to talk about that, you are good with the kids but these is the subjects I decided about." Georgia stated, cutting this conversation.

Paul was stunned and he stared at her for a moment, he knew he this discussion was ended but her use in that word caused him to be very mad. He took another deep breath so he could sound calm. "Don't use that word, it is very offensive and you are going to be the sister-in-law of an autistic person. I'm sorry for pushing about that, I get it they are your kids and you are the one who calls the shots. I'll keep that in mind for the next time." Paul told her and walked toward the door.

"Wait, Paul..." Georgia started to say.

"No, I need some time for myself Georgia." Paul told her and left the room.

Author note: Wow, that wasn't easy to write mentally but I did finished it in a couple of hours. Sorry for using the R word I needed something offensive and I realized that could be a way to finish the fanfic. I'm really glad Chris is autistic and I hope they will diagnosed Austin at some point but I don't have many hopes on that. I hope this fanfic didn't offend anyone I tried to write it with sensitively.
