In this Fanfiction, Riverperson is a human who fell into the Underground. It will explore the effects of this, and how the Riverperson came to be.
I look at the running water as it flows. The stream is always a peaceful place, I find myself here whenever I get stressed out. The city I live in is pretty nice, it is near the mountains, so the sites are always beautiful. One of the mountains is locally famous, Mount Ebott. It is said that anyone who climbs it never returns. I look at the mountain and smile, maybe one day I'll climb it. I always love seeing different sites and being around nature, so the legends make me a little nervous, but I won't let that keep me away. But for now, I should get home. Mom and dad are probably waiting for me.
I start making my way back, the whole time I just can't stop thinking about the mountain. I just have to see what's up there. I have made it to my house, and I see my parents have already made the table.
"Marley your back. You must have had a good time; you were gone longer than usual." My parents never know where I am going when I am there. It's kind of alarming to be honest how carefree they are about that, but I guess that is something I share with them. I have been living a carefree lifestyle as long as I can remember, yet life still has its stresses. That is why I love going to the stream so much. No matter what I am dealing with, I always feel relaxed there. I won't be telling my parents about my plan to climb the mountain. Why? Because then I would make them worry, and that is no good. The flow of life has to be not interrupted, just like the flow of the river. My parents are easy going but not enough to let their 12-year-old child walk alone on a mountain.
Throughout the meal and the time, I go to bed, I just can't stop thinking about the mountain. At this moment I decided that tomorrow I am going to climb it. Even knowing the legends, I don't worry about it. It doesn't really matter, just as long as I get back home in time. Then once I get down, I may be more insightful of the mountain. Aside from being around nature, I also like being insightful of things around me. It is fun to bring these things up as conversation topics.
When the next day comes along, I grab my backpack that I often take on hikes. I wave by to my parents as I get on my bike and make my way to Mt. Ebott. Today is a nice day, many people are outside and enjoying the day. All the trees are blooming. I smile as I see a squirrel running off with an acorn. But what is inside of an acorn? It's just a mystery to me. I always like thinking of things like that. Queries about the world, that leaves a person feeling happy. It has always been a hobby of mine.
When I get to the mountain, I leave my bike at the base. The mountain is a magnificent sight to behold, I can hardly wait to explore all it has to offer. The mountain has no ordinary walking paths, because no one is supposed to be up here. But regardless I manage to traverse it, I am almost near the top now.
The area here is peaceful, just the way I like it. Ahead of me is a cave, walking ahead I decide to explore it. It is so dark that I can't see where I am going. At this moment I realize I probably should have brought a flashlight. But it is too late for that now, it doesn't really matter just as long as I am careful. I tried to walk carefully along the cave, but unfortunately due to the darkness I couldn't see a vine.
I gasp as I feel myself tripping. And to my horror I see a hole right in front of me. I scream as I close my eyes, wishing that I could see the stream one more time.
