Ulrich362: Well, this is an unexpected addition to our series but well... stranger things have happened right Bopdog?

bopdog111: Yeah there sure are. As you all know VRAINS came after Arc-V so you might be wondering why Link Summoning is getting included. Some fics had done Link Summoning for Arc-V fics in the past like the fic, 'The Fifth Circuit', and we are doing our own version of it. But first some things to address before then.

Ulrich362: True, what things will those be Bopdog?

bopdog111:

1. As this series uses all the methods but Pendulum, we will also be doing that. In case you all get worried, it doesn't really change anything as Link Summoning doesn't really exist most of the time over so the Fusion Dimension or Declan is unaware of it.

2. Like in all our previous VRAINS fics there will be no Ai arc, that arc is just plain terrible full of rushed plot points, and the death of a character who absolutely didn't deserve it. This also means none of the Ignis will be killed but the Ignis Warfare arc will still be going on.

3. Unfortunately while I'd like for the Yu-boy to have a Cyberse based Deck to fit here, there aren't any Decks available, and we don't feel like making a custom archetype since we haven't been doing that to our Yu-boys so we decided to give him 1 Cyberse Link Monster that fits his Deck in it's place.

4. As with all of the other series there will be new added characters that aren't in the original canon storyline. I can't say they be White Tiger from Chronicles, or Sota/Prince from our VRAINS fics but they will appear at some point.

5. Lastly some of the methods will appear much earlier then in canon since I think Neo Storm Access is really cheap with it's second effect which is really there to counter Bounty Hunter Gore's Anti-Skill, so Playmaker gets Neo Storm Access from the start which allow him access to his other Extra Deck monsters. This doesn't mean he already has the Code Talkers in case you all are worried.

Ulrich362: Exactly, so with that established enjoy the chapter and the fifth part of our Interference series.

Disclaimer: We don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V or Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains. All rights go their owners, all we own are the OCs.

It was a large area that is being attacked by a group of hackers known as the Knights of Hanoi. The area was known as Cyberse World, the home world of a group of 6 talented beings made of data known as the Ignis living peaceful lives after 5 years from there birth but now suddenly the Knights of Hanoi had found them lead by a young man in a mask named Varis who is unleashing destruction over Cyberse World to destroy the Ignis, and in turn the Cyberse.

Varis himself is a tan-skinned man with yellow eyes without irises or pupils, and black hair with orange and red highlights. His ears are pierced with Egyptian-style earrings with a blue diamond and a gold bullet "token" while wearing a mask with yellow glass and a white casing with a diamond-shaped pattern of white dots with red centers, linked together by a white circle that surrounds a white dot in the center of is forehead that suggests the barrel of a gun raising his arm up declaring. "The Cyberse will be no more!"

He summoned something as it materialized as a red golden mechanical dragon screeching loud. "Cracking Dragon destroy this world!" Emerging from the flames Cracking Dragon flew around the remains of Cyberse World that is under attack while nearby is a large seal like circle with 5 orbs trapping five of the Ignis with one still not captured while they watched unable to do anything to stop it.

"How'd the Knights of Hanoi find us?" questioned a glowing yellow figure struggling in the orb. "He's gonna wipe us out, we have to do something!"

"Do what?" questioned an orange glowing figure. "He's got us trapped."

"But not me." mentioned a black figure with purple lines on his body and yellow eyes as Cracking Dragon flew around. "Because no one can catch this fellow. And I'd mean no-one!" He turned over towards his fellow Ignis. "And since your all tied up at the moment (I mean really? All of you? Embarrassing... Anyway,) I'd guess it's up to me, to save the day!"

Unfazed by this Varis nearby commanded over towards Cracking Dragon. "Cracking Dragon, don't let that stray escape!" As the non-captured Ignis moved to get away Cracking Dragon charged forward to attack.

"Watch out!" screamed a blue glowing figure sounding female worried for the freed Ignis.

The free Ignis flew off with Cracking Dragon close behind before breaking out of the sky and turning to see a glowing green orb connected to several white lines and circles as he turned to it.

"Well Cyberse, it was good seeing you." he mentioned as his eyes began glowing and the green orb seemed to pulse before starting to scatter into particles.

"No!" Varis cried seeing that. "That Ignis is cutting off the Cyberse from the rest of the network!"

"He's hiding our world to protect us." a red figure realized.

"But... won't that mean..." a green figure started turning to the red figure. "He can never come home again?"

With the orb fully scattered a part was sealed into the free Ignis as he used his finger to wipe where his nose would be only to notice Cracking Dragon charging at him, and wasn't able to move in time to avoid it's attack. "Uh-oh!" Cracking Dragon chomped him down reducing him to just an eye.

Back at a room Varis appeared over ordering his knights. "Find every fragment of that Ignis! It's the only one who knows the precise location of the Cyberse!" The Ignis' eye floated away to escape leaving a chase happening over for the next half decade.

Five years later in what appeared to be a futuristic city a scan started searching for something looking at a colosseum, a wall of waterfalls with a rainbow, a mountain range, before eventually showing a gargoyle perched on top of a large building where a figure wearing a white cloaked outfit with a large worm with green glowing lights along its body next to him stood opposite a figure obscured by shadow with a humanoid warrior next to him.

"Linkslayer attack! Giga-Claw!"

The humanoid warrior charged in slashing down the worm monster destroying it easily while the white robed figure grunted bracing himself. "You dare to attack the Knights of Hanoi? You have made a fatal mistake!" Unaware to them the Ignis' eye from the few years was seeing the duel from a gargoyle's point of view. "Once you've crossed us, your locked for life!"

"Good." the figure against him stated over as the humanoid figure floated beside him. "Then you'll be seeing a lot more of me. So you've ought to remember this face. Or better yet..." He stepped forward while the rising sun revealed his appearance as a black/gray suited man with yellow hair with a side of it pink, and green eyes while having a yellow stripe on his body. "My name... it's Playmaker."

In an empty white room a young boy with blue and pink hair was standing with his eyes closed as he heard a voice.

"Hey, hey. Wake up." the voice mentioned as the boy seemed to fade before an older version of the boy with his head in his arms opened his eyes revealing they were green.

"Whoa-ho! So it's finally awake!" a big boy that was walking beside him voiced seeing him open his eyes.

"That again Yusaku?" said a voice beside him.

He turned to see a boy with dark green eyes and red hair with an amused smirk on his face. "I was wondering when you would wake up."

Yusaku slowly sat up stating over. "Hey, I had a long night you two."

"Well Yusaku, your gonna have a long stench in detention if the teach catches you through the super boring class!" the boy stated over. This was there classmate Naoki Shima is a budding duelist who hasn't tried the new software Link VRAINS yet though he had wanted to be.

As for the other boy...

"I don't know Shima, Yusaku doesn't snore at least." the boy chuckled, this was a boy named Yuta. He wasn't that great a duelist either... or rather that's what he wanted everyone to think.

"Well instead of books he should've brought a pillow."

"Hey not a bad idea..." Yusaku shrugged over taking the joke seriously.

Not bothered Shima grinned over. "Yeah, I'm full of 'em! Like... my idea to snag this!" He raised his arm showing the two the tablet on his wrist that is supposed to be the newest generation Duel Disk.

"Huh, that's a nice watch." Yusaku commented nonchalantly while Yuta's eyes widened slightly seeing it.

"Wha...? It's a Duel Disk!" Shima told them showing the device to Yusaku who looked at it lazily. "See?"

"Oh yeah... it is one, a new model right?" Yuta asked. "How'd you afford something like that Shima? Does it mean you might actually do that?"

"Well I've lined up for 10 hours so it means, I can try." Yusaku stood up which Shima sees there last generation Duel Disks. "Are those your Duel Disks?" He grinned over. "Dudes it's time for a trade, the things are older than a dinosaur!" A scanning camera was eyeing them from a folded up tablet as Shima explained over towards them. "Mine is loaded with an AI that provides dueling, AND emotional support."

"You are duel-tactular Shima." the AI of the Duel Disk demonstrated with a cringe-filled pun.

"Ten hours, well spent." Yusaku noted as Yuta shuddered from the bad pun.

"While you two still have to load your decks manually, mine downloads cards straight from the SOL Tech cloud's network." Shima explained grinning. "And not only that, I get VIP priority access to the Link VRains virtual dueling realm."

He pressed a button on his Duel Disk as images appeared on the screen behind the teacher's desk.

"Here's a live look."

They looked over seeing several duelists facing each other having monsters like Marauding Captain, Digital Bug Corebadge, and multiple Zoodiac monsters.

Interested over Yusaku asked over a question. "So Link VRAINS is where you go to duel Shima?"

Taken aback by what he asked Shima couldn't help the snapping he had done. "Are ya stupid!?"

"Stupid is a forbidden word." Shima's Duel Disk laid an annoying part of it's programming.

"Link VRAINS is where all the top duelists in the world all go to compete!" Shima pointed toward the images explaining what Link VRAINS is towards Yusaku, and Yuta. "You don't just show up there for a duel, you've got to be the best of the best of the best of the best of the best!"

"I see..."

Cupping his chin in admiration Shima couldn't help adding. "And there are two Duelists who's ruling the roost these days! Playmaker, and Alduin!"

"Playmaker and Alduin?" Yusaku asked curiously.

"Oh yeah they're seriously my heroes." Shima smiled. "They're the ones going up against the Knights of Hanoi."

He added over towards them. "Those no-good group of hackers are trying to destroy Link VRAINS!"

"Really?" Yusaku asked interested. "That sounds like quite the job for two men."

"Yeah your telling me. What bout you Yuta?" Shima asked Yuta curiously for his opinion.

"Well, you said that only the best of the best of the best of the best of the best can even go into Link Vrains so they must be skilled right, and Link Vrains hasn't been destroyed yet." Yuta answered.

"And like true heroes they keep there identities secret. Oh man, I wish I was there sidekick, we can side-kick the Hanoi's derrière's!"

Yusaku only packed his bag. "Have fun." Turning over he told Yuta. "Come on Yuta, isn't it time for work?"

"Oh yeah."

Shima seeing them leave offered over to them. "Hey, hold up, do you two want me to teach you how to duel?"

"Unfortunately, I doubt you'd have the ability to teach us how to duel." Yusaku answered holding up three fingers. "For three reasons. For one, you require support of an AI program to help you duel. And two, you prejudged me by the age of my Duel Disk."

Yuta looked over to watch the interaction.

"Not by my skill or by my cards." Turning over towards Shima, Yusaku finished his explanation. "And three, you've told us your not ready to compete in Link VRAINS. So how can you teach us?" Shima pulled out such a shocked look which Yuta covered his mouth to keep from laughing while a camera overhead was staring at them. "But I do believe your on your way to becoming a good duelist. For one you love talking about dueling, and that passion cannot be taught in a classroom. And two, acquiring that new Duel Disk shows around the cutting-edge of the latest Dueling trends." He then finished up the extra 'three reasons' he had made over. "And three, since you have no qualms speaking your mind, you must have tough skin while others speak there minds saying 'you have much to improve as a duelist'."

While blushing in embarrassment from Yusaku figuring him out all that easily Shima does felt offended from it. "Oh yeah, Yusaku!? Well I got three things I can say about you but I don't want my Grandma to wash my mouth out with soap! Tata!" He ran storming out leaving the two alone.

"There are three reasons why he shouldn't be so upset." Yusaku mentioned thoughtful cupping his chin. "But I guess its too late to discuss them with him now."

"Blunt as always aren't you Yusaku?" Yuta asked before shrugging. "You're buying today."

Yusaku shrugged as they walked together before through a green digital portal within Link VRAINS where security drones are floating around the eye of the Ignis appeared over one ledge. Almost instantly the drones started to close in which made him looked shocked. "Oh glitch! They found me!" He quickly swished out to get away from the drones as they followed him over.

Meanwhile in a large building...

Entering a different room was a blue suited man with a teal tuff of hair was SOL Technologies, Security Manager known as Akira Zaizen one of the most proficient employees of the entire company, and the rumored person to become the future CEO one day. Lately things had been rough with ordered by his superiors to look for the Ignis, and while he doesn't know what they have planned he follows orders, and is now in the room to discuss something with those same superiors.

Entering a large empty room with only a small pathway he watched as giant floating chess pieces appeared in front of him as the bishop seemed to glow before the room transformed into a chess board.

"Is it true Zaizen?" questioned a male voice. "You've detected the Ignis?"

"I have confirmation Bishop." Akira answered looking at the chess piece calmly. "It appears the Ignis is lurking somewhere within the network system."

"We finally have a lead to the Cyberse. The source that generated new data material to grow SOL Technologies virtual world." Bishop stated. "Or it used to. Until that Ignis, that rogue AI Program hid the Cyberse from us five years ago. Without the Cyberse our network is slowly deteriorating."

"But if we locate the Cyberse, our network will be fully restored. We find the Ignis, and we find the Cyberse."

"Yes... You have permission to all of SOL Technologies' resources to find the Ignis. You've never failed us before Zaizen, do not start now."

"I understand." Akira bowed over respectfully. "I'll see to it right away."

He turned only for Bishop to call. "Oh, and Zaizen?"

"Sir?" he asked turning back.

"The newly crowned Emperor will be overseeing the progress." Bishop stated over towards him. "You won't make him look like an idiot in front of his parents will you?"

'Sota...' Akira thought before nodding. "Of course not, I'll make sure everything goes exactly as you expect."

"Good." Bishop mentioned before fading as the room turned back to normal and Akira walked off.

Meanwhile...

In what seemed like a shadowed based lighting lights up as a screen lit up before Varis appeared as someone else appeared behind him which is a white dressed man having gray hair, and light blue eyes.

"Varis, the Ignis has finally reappeared." the man reported over towards Varis. "But if we have detected it SOL Tech must've too. They'll use it to find, and revive the Cyberse."

"Then we must simply capture it before they do, Specter." Varis decided the best course of action would be to be the first to take the Ignis before SOL can have a chance too to accomplish there mission. "The Cyberse is to be destroyed not revived."

"I don't doubt your abilities but what if this Playmaker, and Alduin dares to interfere with us again?"

"Let them there nothing but nuisances."

"May I suggest that there more formidable then you think? Our best hackers have failed to uncover there real world identities cause not only they block our trackers they meticulously purges there logging information. And when they-"

"Focus on the task at hand." Varis didn't turned over only reminded Specter of there mission. "Hunt down that Ignis, and bring it to me..."

Back at the city Yusaku and Yuta had gone to a food truck as they leaned against it while Yusaku looked over at a screen showing a tanned man wearing a golden harness and a blue-haired girl with white wings. "Who are those two Kolter?"

Hearing that a darkened blue haired man with a goatee looked while grilling some hot dogs. "Not really up into the Charisma Duelist scene are ya?"

"Been kinda busy..."

"Heard that... speaking of have you two heard of Data Storms?" That interested the two over which Kolter proceeded to explain. "I heard rumors that crazy tornados used to blow through Link VRAINS, and thrill seekers would ride those winds, and battle of them. The things called Speed Duels."

"Speed Duels..." Yusaku repeated thoughtfully.

"But no-one I know has ever seen a Data Storm. But man, surfing the wind? Heh, crazy." Kolter mentioned.

"I don't know, it sounds kind of interesting to me." Yuta mentioned as he looked up from a table. "By the way, how are the hot dog sandwiches coming along?"

Kolter sighed a bit annoyed. "I've told you before Yuta, there NOT sandwiches. Just cause they have bread, and have meat in it doesn't make them sandwiches!" A bit kinda false when worded like that but eh. "*sigh* Well that aside you up for another Yusaku?" He turned over, and after not hearing a response frowned. "Your awfully quiet there buddy, care to share what's on your mind?"

"Just thinking about the leader of the Hanoi... where can he be? For such a large legion he's difficult to find." Yusaku explained over with frustration known over. A camera is seeing overhead at the truck as Yusaku stood up asking over towards Kolter. "Have you uncovered any new intel Kolter?"

"Maybe it's nothing... but there's been an uptick in SOL Tech's security systems. Word on the dark net is, there hunting for something." Kolter gave over what he had heard, or read all day so far which is probably nothing or valuable since both Yuta, and Yusaku will take any info he acquires no matter how small it may be.

"Hunting for what?" Yusaku inquired hearing that.

"For an artificial intelligence program." Kolter answered as Yuta blinked.

"An AI? Why would SOL Tech be looking for an AI?" he inquired.

"That's a good question, it must certainly be quite the AI." Yusaku noted thoughtfully.

"But if SOL Technologies wants it, you two know who else would right?" Kolter asked them.

"We do, the Knights of Hanoi." Yuta nodded turning to Yusaku.

"You know..." Thinking back towards one incident of Playmaker dueling the Knight of Hanoi he widen his eyes running to the back of the truck. "That's it! I've had an idea! Kolter fire it up!"

Confused Kolter blinked over. "Uh, what? The grill's alright lit, Yusaku."

"No he means your computers!" Yuta quickly followed Yusaku opening the truck, and closing it behind as Kolter lowered down the window. Pressing a button the cabinets of what looked like ingredients are replaced by monitor screens, and light up keyboards.

"If we capture this AI before anyone else instead of searching for the Knights of Hanoi, I can lure them to me." Yusaku explained his idea towards them.

"Seriously?" Kolter questioned turning to him. "You actually think you can catch this AI when everyone else has failed?"

"If anyone could pull it off Yusaku would be the one I'd choose." Yuta mentioned.

"True, and everyone else has failed because they're doing it wrong." Yusaku mentioned typing on the computer as a blue line was running through the network before red paths appeared cutting it off and leading it where Yusaku wanted it to go. "Instead of chasing it, we have to guide it. By hacking, and shutting pathways in the city's grid I can lead the AI to where I want it to go. Play things right and it leaves the AI with only a single escape route. Into here."

He took his Duel Disk at that.

"That's a lot of coding for one person..."

Yusaku merely grinned over towards them. "Yes, your correct. But it's not too much for three."

Yuta's eyes widened. "Yusaku... you know I'm useless with a computer."

Yusaku turned over towards him. "True but your computer abilities are for into Link VRAINS, ain't that right... Alduin? Just to make sure nothing interferes."

Yuta smirked at that. "Definitely."

"Then make your way in." Kolter pressed a button as a door leading to a room opened up that's small, and blue all around.

Yuta nodded walking into the room. "Into the VRAINS!"

As he said that his appearance changed to where he was wearing a black draconic suit with glowing red chains across his chest and arms with his eyes turning dark purple as his hair changed from red to a absolutely pure black moments before a draconic facemark appeared leaving just his eyes visible. A portal appeared which he dropped down manifesting large black dragon wings flying around for a spot to land.

"Now to wait and see what happens." Alduin mentioned stretching only to notice in the distance the two Charisma Duelists Yusaku saw earlier.

Meanwhile at SOL Technologies...

"Have you caught the Ignis?" Bishop inquired to Akira Zaizen.

"No, not yet." Akira answered.

"Why the delay?" Bishop questioned.

"We are prepared to launch a citywide scan sir, but we'll have to reroute power from our security systems. Leaving our network vulnerable to attack." Akira explained calmly.

"That is a risk we must take." Bishop told him.

"As you wish." Akira nodded calmly.

"Greetings brainiacs!" an announcer had called over as he announced over the oncoming match. "Tonight we're pulling a two-fer with a pair of Charisma Duelists providing a double dose of dueling! In zone one is Gore! His muscles are as pumped as this crowd!"

He was referring to the tanned man who has his grin.

"And featured in zone 2 is the world's favorite battling beauty herself, Blue Angel!"

The second duelist was the blue haired angel girl who has on a smile waving as the crowd roared loud.

"Oh wow, listen to that! The true blue crew is out in forest tonight, do these two duelists have what it takes to keep there winning streaks alive as they climb the Link VRAINS Championship ladder? We're about to find out!"

In the crowd was Shima who is having trouble figuring out who to root for going for Gore but then taking Blue Angel's side not sure what to pick to root.

Meanwhile at SOL Technologies...

"Rerouting power from the Security Grid. Done."

"The system is ready to run the scan."

Nodding someone walked over in front of Akira's Desk which was a green haired boy with a scar over his left eye wearing a green suit, and a yellow/green striped horizontal tie with a nametag spelling 'Emperor' on the suit. "It's ready to go on your mark, Akira."

"Good, do it." Akira stated.

"Yes sir. Engaging now."

At that several scanners began sweeping across Link VRAINS causing the scanned buildings to turn blue.

The eye of the Ignis jumped up, and from noticing the buildings turning blue quickly backed up. "Uh oh! Feet don't fail me now!" He moved to get away before the scan can get him. "...Oh wait, I don't have feet."

Kolter noticing the scan from a monitor widen his eyes. "Step it up! SOL Technologies is already scanning the city!" He quickly sent a message to Alduin. "Alduin, SOL Technologies is scanning the city! Be careful!"

Alduin blinked noticing the scanners. "They must be getting desperate, hurry up you two."

Back at the Hanoi Base...

Varis, and Specter were looking over the screen as data is being run through to where Specter informed Varis. "The city's firewall is down 23%, and plummeting."

Varis smirked from this seeing a chance to strike. "This is our chance. Number 10." Behind him emerged a regular Knight of Hanoi similar to the one Playmaker battled before. "The Ignis will attempt to escape Link VRAINS. Capture it, and bring it to me immediately."

"Affirmative." the Knight left to do his job.

Back at SOL Technologies...

They watched as the scan happened before the diagram turned a crimson red signifying danger.

"Oh no we have a major security breach!"

"Purge it now!"

Emperor turned over towards Akira. "Well Akira, those Hanoi aren't gonna surrender the Ignis without a fight. I wouldn't be surprised they were waiting for us to use the City Scan to make there move."

"I was afraid of that." Akira frowned. "I only hope Bishop understands there was a risk of this happening."

"It's too late! They broke the firewall."

At that the sky in Link VRAINS appeared to crack as the Knight of Hanoi broke through on top of Cracking Dragon causing Akira to clench his fists.

"If only the Pawn Drones are available right now..." Emperor looked frustrated himself.

The crowd starts to get worried from the screens fizzing out with both Charisma Duelists confused while Kolter on his end noticing the Knights of Hanoi quickly messaged Alduin. "Alduin, the Knights of Hanoi have joined the party!"

"I see them, should I go and say hello?" Alduin inquired. "It looks like there's only one, but with them you can never be too sure."

"Try to get them off our path while we finish the pathway!" Yusaku instructed over focusing over the coding for the pathway for the AI to take.

Alduin nodded jumping as his wings formed and he flew towards the Cracking Dragon as the Knight of Hanoi saw him and recognized him as one of the two people who had been interfering with them for the past five years.

"Heh! Alduin!" the Knight growled seeing him. "Unfortunately I don't have time to play with you!" Materializing a keyboard he typed in a message as it vanished, and after a few seconds a second Knight of Hanoi identical to himself appeared before he jumped off landing down on the ground looking over at Alduin.

"You seem to be in quite the rush." Alduin mentioned noting the second Knight of Hanoi. "What's wrong, you wouldn't happen to be searching for anything would you?"

"Your battle is with me Alduin! We won't let you interfere!" the second Knight of Hanoi stated pointing at him before something shot from his wrist grabbing Alduin's.

His eyes widened at that as he was pulled to the ground as Gore and Blue Angel both noticed the Cracking Dragon.

"What is that?" Gore questioned seeing it.

Alduin was forced to land on the ground in front of the second Knight of Hanoi as he smirked over. "We will get that Ignis by any means even with dealing with bothersome threats such as yourself."

"Ignis?" Alduin questioned glaring at the Knight of Hanoi. "What's an Ignis?"

"Sorry but I'm afraid, I won't tell you." the Knight smirked over before his Duel Disk activated. "Now to take care of you!"

'Great, you two better be finishing up.' Alduin thought activating his Duel Disk.

"DUEL!"

(Dueling Theme: The Hunted by Hyperdose)

Alduin: 4000

Knight of Hanoi: 4000

Let the duel commence!

Knight of Hanoi 1st Turn:

"This won't take long. I'll make the first move." With the wave of his hand five cards appeared in front of him.

Alduin frowned at that. Looking over the cards the Hanoi smirked, "Even easier... for my move, I'll use the spell One for One!" A spell showing Samsara Lotus raising up from a Scarr, Scout of Dark World appeared on the field.

One for One

Normal Spell Card

Send 1 monster from your hand to the GY; Special Summon 1 Level 1 monster from your hand or Deck.

"By sending a monster from my hand to the graveyard, I can summon a Level 1 monster from my hand or my Deck."

Alduin frowned seeing that. "Great."

"So by sending Plaguespreader Zombie from my hand to the graveyard, I can summon Bayonater, the Baneful Barrel!"

From a Zombie card's disappearance rose up a sentient ghost like rifle having a bayonetta blade down, and a purple eye.

(Attack Position)

DEF: 0

Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; it loses 1000 ATK for each monster your opponent controls.

"That monster doesn't help you if I don't have anything in play." Alduin pointed out.

"Who's to say I'm only using him? By placing a card in my hand back to the top of my Deck, I can summon Plaguespreader Zombie from the graveyard!"

The graveyard portal opened as what rose was a plague induced zombie groaning.

DEF: 200

If this card is in your GY: You can place 1 card from your hand on the top of the Deck; Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field.

Left with only two cards in his hand the Hanoi had summoned two monsters without using his Normal Summon at his first turn showing he's at least SOME experience rather then some of the other cookie cutter Hanoi, Alduin had faced against. But he hopes this Hanoi can give him some sort of challenge rather then the usual monsters he faces hoping for something new.

"What are you planning on doing with those two?" Alduin questioned with a smirk.

The Hanoi only smirked more. 'Now I can use the card Master Varis given me!' Raising a card the two zombies vanished. "If you want to know here it is! By sacrificing these two, I can summon the monster sure to take this duel by storm! Literally cause I summon Cracking Dragon!"

Materializing above him was the same large dragon his comrade from before rode up screeching loud flying behind him.

(Attack Position)

Cracking Dragon

DARK

Level 8

Machine/Effect

ATK: 3000

DEF: 0

Cannot be destroyed by battle with a monster with equal or lower Level. When your opponent Normal or Special Summons exactly 1 monster (and no other monsters are Summoned) while this monster is on the field: You can make that monster lose ATK equal to its Level x 200 (until the end of this turn), and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK lost by this effect.

"3000 attack points, that's not bad." Alduin commented seeing the dragon as he glanced over towards the other Knight of Hanoi. 'Yusaku... you and Kolter better hurry up, if they find this Ignis or whatever it's called it won't be good.'

"I think I'll end my turn here. Go ahead, and make your move whatever you have won't be good enough." the Knight smirked ending his turn.

Knight of Hanoi's Hand: 1/Field: Cracking Dragon (Attack Position)

Meanwhile...

"Alduin's in trouble, the Hanoi called in back-up which means we don't have much time." Kolter frowned as he continued typing with Yusaku.

"I know, but there's just a few more lines to go." Yusaku pointed out.

"There's no time left, we're too late!" Kolter told him.

"No!" Yusaku refuses to call it quits. "I am NOT giving up!"

"Yeah but this looks impossible!"

"The 'impossible' is just the 'possible' just waiting to be done! Trust me, I know this will work! Because it has too..."

The Ignis' eye appeared at a sector as he sighed. "Phew! Coast is clear..."

"I found you Ignis!"

"Or not!" Turning over he sees the first Knight of Hanoi with Cracking Dragon is charging after him which he quickly vanishes to get away before he gets chomped on again, and this time won't survive. Fading in to where he is he widen the eye. "Nonononono! I'm trapped!"

"Here we go! Initiating backdoor pathway!"

With the press of a button a light pathway appeared in the sector which the Ignis' eye sees. "Woohoo! It's my lucky day!" Jumping on he lets the path guide him too safety from the Hanoi.

At SOL Technologies...

"We can't contain this, avatars are being erased left and right. Link VRAINS will be destroyed!"

Meanwhile people in Den City were running in a panic as Yusaku and Kolter quickly got out of the food truck and ran towards the screen depicting the Knight of Hanoi's attack.

"If the AI took the bait..." Yusaku started before holding up his Duel Disk. "It'll come straight here!"

Electricity crackled around him for several seconds while Kolter watches tensing up while something traveled through a digital pathway before eventually it stopped as Yusaku's Duel Disk announced. "Transfer complete."

He lowered his arm looking down as the Ignis' Eye appeared opening it only to widen seeing him. "Oi!"

"Hello there," Yusaku greeted calmly. "you must be the AI everyone wants."

The Ignis looked around with his eye confused from the change of scenery instead of Link VRAINS. "Where am I?"

"Inside my Duel Disk." Yusaku answered calmly. "And I spliced in some safeguards so you can't alter its programming."

"So I'm trapped in here?" the Ignis questioned. "Who are you clowns?"

"Clowns who rescued you from the Knights of Hanoi." Kolter replied leaning in towards the Ignis.

"Why you." the Ignis glared before tearing up. "I'm sorry I called you stupid ugly clowns. Please let me go...?"

Hearing something they looked over seeing Blue Angel is being attacked by a Hanoi.

"There's the Hanoi! I'm going!" Yusaku making a decision turned to run back to the truck.

"Hey hang on what about Alduin!?" Kolter reminded him.

Yusaku gave a grin over towards Kolter. "You think he can't take care of himself? I have no doubt he can handle the Hanoi he's after while we take care of the one in Link VRAINS."

"Wha-!?" Overhearing this the Ignis does have some protesting to do on that matter. "But-But, I just left there!"

"Well then, you should feel right at home!" Quickly entering the truck with Kolter who moves to monitor the computers, and Yusaku enters the room (not bothering to care about Yuta's unconscious form against the wall) he takes out a Deck inserting it in his Duel Disk. "It's time to Link into the VRAINS!"

Through the same transformation sequence Yuto experienced Yusaku transformed into his avatar none other then as Playmaker himself before entering the same sector Blue Angel is in to handle the Hanoi in the area.

Meanwhile at Alduin's own duel...

Alduin 1st Turn:

"Your dragon is pretty impressive but not even close to powerful enough." Alduin smirked drawing his card. "I'll start with the spell Abomination's Prison. This adds an Unchained card from my deck to my hand." A spell showing a fox like creature being held down in chains by two human like people appeared.

Abomination's Prison

Normal Spell Card

Add 1 "Unchained" card from your Deck to your hand. If this Set card is destroyed by card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Unchained" monster from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Abomination's Prison" once per turn.

Adding the card he smirked. "With that done I'll summon Unchained Twins - Rakea in attack position."

Raising up was one of the two humans from the spell as a black masked human having long blue hair wearing a white robe that is also gold designed having red shackles around his ankles, and boxed spikes like restraints on his hands.

You can only use each effect of "Unchained Twins - Rakea" once per turn.

"Unchained huh? Well too bad they'll be chained up cause I activate Cracking Dragon's special ability!" The orbs around Cracking Dragon glowed which confuses Alduin. "Whenever you summon a monster, Cracking Dragon lowers that monster's points by 200, and you take damage equal to that change! Crack Fall!"

Cracking Dragon blown strong winds over towards Alduin's field. Alduin's eyes widened as the winds hit him and his monster.

(Alduin: 3400/Hand: 5)

Unchained Twins - Rakae: (ATK: 1500 - (200 * 3) = 900)

"A few points of damage won't stop me, now I'll use the effect of Unchained Twins - Aruha in my hand. I can destroy Rakea to summon this card."

Rakea shattered as a new monster appeared which is a long spiked black, and white haired man having a brozen mask with glowing yellow eyes with the same shackles, and restraints/weapons as Rakae along with some wooden sandles.

"Makes no difference! Crack Fall!"

Cracking Dragon fired the same barrage of winds that are just as strong as the last one as Aruha's level is the same as Rakae's. Alduin braced himself again.

(Alduin: 2800/Hand: 4)

Unchained Twins - Aruha: (ATK: 1500 - (200 * 3) = 900)

"You're not the only one with a special ability, since Rakea was destroyed I can use its ability to bring out something a little more powerful." Alduin smirked. "My Unchained Soul of Disaster!"

Raising up was a large blue energy fox like creature with large sharp teeth almost like fangs having red marks on it's face having completely white eyes, and on it's neck, and wrists are the same shackles as before.

"For every Unchained card in my graveyard he gains 300 attack points."

Unchained Soul of Disaster: (ATK: 0 + 300 = 300)

"Big deal your only gonna get hit with 1600 more points as that monster's level 8! You don't understand Cracking Dragon's power so be prepared to lose half your Life Points! Crack Fall!"

Cracking Dragon fired even stronger winds then the last two times only this time the damage was way less.

(Alduin: 2500/Hand: 4)

"What? Why is the damage not right?" the Knight asked stunned seeing Alduin didn't took 1600 damage instead 300.

Unchained Soul of Disaster: (ATK: 300 - 300 = 0)

"You said it yourself, I take damage equal to the change in my monster's attack points and while Unchained Soul of Disaster is level eight, he only has 300 attack points to lose so I only take 300 points of damage." Alduin explained before smirking. "Of course, you'll be losing quite a few more points. I activate Disaster's ability, by targeting your Cracking Dragon I can use it and My Unchained Soul to Link Summon!"

"What!?" the Knight of Hanoi questioned in shock as Unchained Soul of Disaster flew up into the Link Marker only for chains to shoot out of it grabbing Cracking Dragon as it roared in defiance before slowly being pulled in itself. "No, my dragon!"

"I Link Summon! Link 2, Unchained Soul of Rage!" Alduin called with a smirk as to from the link circuit was a large purple fox monster kinda like Disaster only not the same roaring loud as it has glowing red eyes, and larger fangs.

"Now that you're defenseless I'll attack you directly with both of my monsters."

The two charged in with Rage slashing down at the Hanoi while Aruha punched him knocking him on his back. (Knight of Hanoi: 1300/Hand: 1)

"I think that's enough for now so I'll end my turn." Alduin smirked.

"At the end of the turn Cracking Dragon's effect wears off..." the Knight of Hanoi slowly gets up as he explained this.

Unchained Twins - Aruha: (ATK: 900 + (200 * 3) = 1500)

"Looks like this is your last turn, so I suggest you make it count." Alduin told him only to frown. 'This is taking too long, I just hope you managed to get that AI Yusaku.'

Knight of Hanoi 2nd Turn:

"I'll teach you what happens when you mock me!" the Knight drew the card Plaguespreader Zombie placed on his deck.

Alduin closed his eyes as he felt a familiar sensation. 'Right, I'll let you finish him off.'

"Go Monster Reborn!"

Monster Reborn

Normal Spell Card

Target 1 monster in either GY; Special Summon it.

He didn't bother to explain the effect as it simply glowed, and from the graveyard rose Cracking Dragon once more for revenge.

Cracking Dragon: (Attack Position)

'Big mistake." Alduin told him. "I use the effect of Unchained Soul of Rage! During either of our turns I can immediately target one of your Special Summoned monsters and use it and Rage to perform a Link Summon."

Unchained Soul of Rage shot out chains that once again wrapped around Cracking Dragon as it was dragged back up into the circuit along with Rage.

"What!?" the Knight of Hanoi watched in shock that his powerful dragon was used again for a Link Summon against it's will.

"I Link Summon! Link 3, Unchained Soul of Anguish!" Alduin called as a new monster appeared above him which was a crimson fox monster with pink marks, and yellow glowing eyes with a symbol on it's head.

The Knight stammered trying to find a way to get out of this scenario looking over his hand, and graveyard for a card he can use to defend himself.

"I'm guessing you're all out of options? Typical of the Hanoi, you talk a big game but don't have the skills to back it up." Alduin mentioned. "Why don't we finish this?"

The Knight merely growled over. "Don't you think you can get away with this!" He sets a card over. "Your move now!"

Knight of Hanoi's Hand: 0/Field: One Set Card

Alduin 2nd Turn:

Alduin drew his card and smirked. "Appear, the Circuit of the Chained Dragon!"

Anguish and Aruha flew up into the circuit as they appeared to be wrapped up in chains while doing so.

"The summoning conditions are at least two monsters including a Link Monster! I place Aruha, and Link 3 Anguish in this Link Arrows, Circuit Combine! From the untold depths of your eternal prison let your heartbeat echo throughout the land once more and symbolize the apocalypse!" Alduin chanted as his wings appeared and he spread his arms. Alduin watched as the Knight of Hanoi vanished before turning to fly after the other one to keep him from locating this Ignis whatever it was. He looks around trying to find them, and flies into a second like city with a gray sky only to notice Cracking Dragon in the distance with a large data tornado moving around. Alduin frowned flying after the dragon.

At Cafe Nom...

Kolter noticing Alduin on the screen messaged. "Alduin took care of the Hanoi on your end?"

"Yeah, but I'm too far from the other one and people are in danger." Alduin answered frowning. "Tell me you got that AI... that Igins before they did."

"Yusaku's taking care of the other Hanoi! We gotten the Ignis before then though, and right now he's doing something in the Data Storm!" Kolter explained over to him.

Alduin frowned before looking over. "I'll go make sure he's alright."

With that he flew off towards the Data Storm.

Ulrich362: Yuta, AKA Alduin managed to defeat a Knight of Hanoi as Yusaku and Cal managed to obtain an AI known as an Ignis but where did that Data Storm come from and what's Yusaku doing?

bopdog111: Well looks as though those questions will be answered next chapter.

Ulrich362: True, and for the curious Silent Heart Ritual Dragon does not have the level five restriction for its effects, but those will be revealed in a future chapter.

bopdog111: For now though, be sure to review!

Ulrich362: See you in the next chapter.
