Guest: No, I haven't. Haven't watched it nor do I have any interest in doing so.

Curious: So do I.

ayatoamagiri3425: Well, here it is.

Guano droppings: Thanks, though i doubt I'll ever do a Ghost Rider/Spawn story unless it's a one-shot fight.

epic insanity666: The spirit is like from Agents of Shield, but does not like to be restrained when it senses the evil of others around. In this, the Ghost Rider has the MCU appearance, but the voice is of the Rider from the 2007 movie. I don't really want to explain it without spoiling the story, so you'll just have to read and see how it goes.

Spiral-Voltron-Zero0Q1: Thanks.

3bodyjaa: Thanks.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ghost Rider or Young Justice. I only own the OC Mason Graves/Ghost Rider.

Gotham City Outskirts: 9:34pm, October 31st, 2008:

The shadows are a terrible place...especially in the city that is always encased in shadows. Gotham City is a horrible, disturbing, blood curdling place. Where the very worst of humanity sprout like weeds and spread crime, death and mayhem like a plague. Men like Penguin and Maroni who would control the forces that are designed to keep people safe are now nothing more than puppets and thugs. Some like Scarecrow and the dreaded Joker, just seemingly love causing destruction and death for the sake of fear or fun. Tonight is no different for an unlucky convenience store worker. The Batman of Gotham may be someone for criminals to fear but he is not always around...and when he is gone...the scum come out to play.

"Hurry up! Give me the fucking money!" A robber demanded as he pointed a Glock 34 at a store worker. The robber was clad in dark clothing, hooded and masked. With him were two other robbers, both in similar clothing. One was holding several people, a mix of customers and store workers, hostage with his Benelli M4 shotgun while the third robber was trashing the place and/or taking anything that looked valuable as they had already taken valuables such as jewlerry and money off the hostages.

"O-Okay! Okay!" The store clerk nodded fearfully as he opened the register and grabbed all the money, notes and change, and placed it on the counter. The robber wasted no time in sweeping it into a bag.

"Come on, man! Cops will be here soon!" The robber holding the people hostage pointed out.

"I know!" The lead robber nodded, finally shoving the last bit of money into the bag before he zipped it up and looked at the store clerk. "Thanks."

BANG!

The hostages screamed as the store clerk fell to the floor, blood beginning to come out of the hole in his forehead from where he had been shot. However, they went silent as the second robber shot his gun into the ceiling.

"Shut up!" He demanded.

"Come on you two!" The lead robber shouted as he made for the door, the other two robbers following. Once they were outside, they quickly made for their black pickup truck, stuffing what they had stolen into the back, then climbed in and soon drove off while laughing at their actions tonight.

As they drove off, they were unaware of a black 1969 Dodge Charger parked across the road. However, as soon as they drove off, the car roared to life and began following them.

"Man! Best score tonight!" The robber in the back whopped as he looked through the cash they had taken.

"And it's just the first of many, boys!" The one driving laughed. "Did you see how shit scared that clerk was before I shot him? What a pussy!"

"Alright, alright, let's just get back to the hideout, count the money, and then get to selling the essentials we've taken. With luck, we'll get quite a good amount of cash off it." The thug in the passenger seat said, getting nods from the other two robbers.

It took them twenty minutes to reach their hideout, which was located on the outskirts of the East End of Gotham City, basically the shithole area of the city. Their 'hideout' was nothing more than an abandoned apartment complex that would look like a place for robbers, drug addicts and whatnot.

It was perfect for being incognito.

As the thugs got out of their pickup truck, taking their score with them, the '69 Dodge Charger pulled up a few feet down the road. The windows were all tinted black, so it was hard for anyone outside the car to see inside unless the driver lowered the window. The engine of the car cut off and the driver's door opened before Mason Graves stepped out, expression set in a cold, blank mask as he stared at the building the robbers had strolled off into. He shut the door and started making his way towards the building, fists clenched... and faint signs of smoke starting to drift off his body.

Mason entered the building and paused, wrinkling his nose due to the smell, before he continued onwards up the stairs. He raised an eyebrow when he heard what sounded like a woman moaning sexually, before understanding when he heard male grunts following the moaning. However, it was not where his prey was located.

He had gone up seven flights of stairs when the voices of the robbers reached his ears, causing his eyes to narrow and his pace to quicken with purpose.

"Not a bad job done tonight, boys." He heard one of the robbers say. "Only one death tonight... then again, I would've shot the bastard either wasy. Fucking prick probably thought he'd live if he gave us the money."

The words from the robber made Mason's hands clench tigher.

"Should've killed the others." Another robber commented.

"Cops were on their way, there was no time." The first robber pointed out.

Coming to a stop outside the door of the room the robbers were in, Mason rolled his head and shoulders before he lifted his right leg and kicked the door hard enough to break it into splinters, startling the robbers who fell out of their chairs.

"What the fuck?!" One of them shouted, scrambling to his feet. However, Mason had already crossed the room and picked him up before throwing him into the wall, the thug grunting at the impact of colliding with the wall then the floor.

"Motherfucker!" The second robber growled as he strode up and swung a fist, but Mason caught it and tighten his grip to the point the sound of bones cracking could be heard, causing the thug to scream in pain as he fell to his knees. Grabbing him by the arm with both hands, Mason easily broke the arm into two places, earningba pained scream from the thug before Mason threw him right out the window which was then followed by the thug slamming into the roof of the pickup truck, killing him instantly.

With only two thugs remaining, Mason turned his attention to the first one, the one he had thrown into the wall, watching as he scrambled to his feet. Mason strode up and punched him in the face before grabbing the back of his head then bashing his face into the wall repeatedly until a blood-stained imprint was left. Mason dropped the body and turned to the third and final thug, who was aiming a shotgun at him but Mason could see the fear in his eyes, could see him shaking.

"I don't know who the hell you think you are, but you just made a big mistake!" The thug said, trying to be confident and intimidating.

Keyword 'tried'.

"I was just about the say the same thing." Mason retorted as he approached. "You killed a man, shot him in cold blood... and you didn't feel a single bit of remorse."

The thug scoffed. "What are you, Batman?"

"No..." Mason shook his head. The thug's eyes widened when he watched the teenager's dark brown eyes change... and start glowing orange. "I'm worse."

And then, before the thug's very eyes, the skin of the teenager's face started to burn away before the skull remained... only the skull was on fire and those sinister orange eyes now looked at him.

"Oh God..." The thug dropped his gun and fell down, backing away in pure terror as this... thing approached. "God... please God no! I-I don't deserve to die!"

The monster shakes it's head slowly. "Everyone says that."

The thug screamed for his life before those screams were cut off as fire engulfed the entire room, shattering the windows. When authorities arrived on the scene, they found the entire floor engulfed in an out-of-control fire...

Might not be the best chapter, but I'm trying to think of stuff for Mason to do before the evebts of the Young Justice show begin. I'm trying to think of ways for him to meet Cheshire early, maybe even Artemis, so that he's at least interacted with them before the events of canon begin. If anybody's got any ideas... let me know.
