Rudolph Meets King Kong

Author's note: For those wondering, none of the Rudolph sequels like Shining New Year or Island of Misfit Toys are going to be canon to this, so consider this a fresh start.

A little while after that infamous Christmas storm, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and company had found themselves with a brand new station in life, enjoying their newfound celebrity. Rudolph, of course, was the leader of Santa Claus' sleigh, Hermy had his own dentist shop, and Yukon Cornelius was busy with his peppermint mine. Yes, all of them were happy, except for the Abominable Snow Monster of the North, or the Bumble for short. While his teeth had grown back and he no longer hated Christmas, the Bumble was still a lonesome fella, living up in his cave just outside of Christmas Town. In many ways, the Bumble liked his lonesome lifestyle, though he too wished to perform a deed as heroic as Rudolph's sleigh pulling.

One day, as he was wandering the frozen shores of the North Pole, the Bumble noticed Yukon Cornelius showing off a strange new thing in the water. "Observe, ladies and gents", proclaimed Yukon Cornelius, "With this barge, I can ship peppermint to any part of the world!" "But why do you want to deliver peppermint by boat?", asked Rudolph, "I could easily fly it for you". "Nonsense", said Yukon Cornelius, "You earned your way into your business and I'll do the same." "Seems like a lot of work to me", said Hermy. "Hard work is how I became THE GREATEST PROSPECTOR IN THE NORTH!", declared Yukon Cornelius. "So I've heard", said Hermy. The Bumble looked over and stepped onto the barge, wobbling a bit as the barge rocked in the water. "Careful there, Bumble", said Yukon Cornelius, "You don't want the mooring line to snap". Just then, the rope mooring the barge to shore snapped, sending the Bumble floating out to sea! "Come on, Yukon", said Rudolph as he let Yukon Cornelius onto his back and took flight. The Bumble roared as the barge floated closer towards a raging whirlpool. Rudolph flew down, allowing Yukon Cornelius to grab onto the rope. "Hold on tight", said Rudolph as he tried to fly back to shore. But the whirlpool currents were so strong, they wrested the barge away! The Bumble let out a mighty roar as he rode the barge into the raging whirlpool! After he went under, a bright light sprang from the whirlpool!

The Bumble held onto the barge as the whirlpool sent cascades of water at him before shooting him out into the foggy ocean! The Bumble got up and looked around. He felt the warm air against his white fur as he searched for any sign of the North Pole shores, finding nothing but fog as the barge drifted through the waves. The Bumble squinted as the fog began to clear...and grunted in surprise when he saw it. A massive, tropical island with lush jungles surrounding the base of a mountain shaped like a human skull. The Bumble stood in awe at the sight, before then falling onto the sandy beach as the barge ran aground! The Bumble shook off the hot sand and peered into the jungle. He snorted before wandering in, pushing trees and vines out of his path.

Back at the North Pole, efforts to search for the Bumble were already heating up. Rudolph, Hermy, and Yukon Cornelius put their heads together and came to the same conclusion as they ran to the castle of Santa Claus himself. "Ho ho ho", he proclaimed, "What seems to be the matter, Rudolph?" "It's the Bumble, sir", said Rudolph, "He floated out to sea and fell through a whirlpool". "Well, we'll just have to find him", said Santa as he led everyone over to a giant computer, "Let's see, if I calculate by the trajectory of the pull and the force of the warp core inside North Pole whirlpools, I should find the Bumble somewhere right here". A blip showed up on the screen. "Now", said Santa, "I need only triangulate by the position of the whirlpools and...OH NO!" "What's wrong?", asked Hermy. "The Bumble has landed on the deadliest land on Earth", said Santa. "New Jersey?", asked Yukon Cornelius. "No, Skull Island", said Santa, "Home of prehistoric monsters". "What's so bad about that?", asked Yukon Cornelius, "Our Bumble is prehistoric himself, you know". "You ever hear of Kong?", asked Santa. "Why, yes", said Yukon Cornelius, "Some Malay superstition. Neither beast nor man, as they say". "Indeed", said Santa, "Should he and our Bumble get into a tussle, I fear he may triumph over our friend". "Then we haven't a moment to lose", said Yukon Cornelius, "Rudolph, get the sleigh. We need to help the Bumble".

Soon enough, Rudolph was leashed onto the sleigh as Yukon Cornelius and Hermy got in. "One more thing", said Santa, "Kong isn't the only terrible beast on Skull Island. I have spirited away a monster of my own there, just below the surface of the bay". "You had a monster?", asked Rudolph. "Yes", said Santa solemnly, "A terrible beast named Krampus, which I had created with some old sorcery and the parts of dead animals". "Why would you create such a creature?", asked Yukon Cornelius. "Well", explained Santa, "it was in the thick of World War II, and those Nazis needed a lot more than a lump of coal. It worked out alright at first, but as these things tend to go, it got out of hand. Krampus would attack people, regardless of innocence or guilt, so I had him sealed in a magic cage and left him below the seas of Skull Island. Be careful that neither of you awaken him, for he could destroy the world if he wanted". "Don't worry, Santa", said Yukon Cornelius, "If this Krampus wants to tussle with Yukon Cornelius, it will be his own funeral!" With that, Rudolph took the sky, pulling the sleigh behind him as he flew off towards the mysterious Skull Island.

Meanwhile, as the Bumble knelt down to drink from a flowing river, he heard a noise to his left. Out of the dense jungle burst a stegosaurus, a massive reptile with a spiked tail and two rows of dorsal plates on its back. The Bumble stepped back, unsure of how to approach the beast. The stegosaurus roared before charging at the Bumble, knocking him over! The Bumble was then hit with the spiked tail! The beast roared before leaping over and knocking the stegosaurus on its side! He then grabbed the dinosaur by the tail and threw it into the trees! The stegosaurus then charged over and bit the Bumble's arm! The Bumble grabbed the reptile by the throat and threw it over his shoulder before kicking it into the river! The stegosaurus hit the Bumble in the leg with its spiked tail, then reared up on its hind legs! The Bumble tackled the stegosaurus and grabbed its head, twisting it sideways and snapping its neck! The Bumble roared victoriously before wandering into the jungle.

But the victorious roar of the Bumble was heard far and wide on Skull Island. One particular creature that heard it noticed him well before the battle and stepped out of one of the eyes on Skull Mountain. This creature sniffed the air and growled before leaping down and swinging on a vine towards a cliff. He let out a roar of his own as he stormed into the jungle.

Elsewhere, Rudolph and company had flown through a thick bank of fog to witness Skull Island in person. "Wow", said Hermy as he snapped a photo. "Indeed", said Yukon Cornelius, "What a beauty". Just then, a flying reptile flew in to attack! Rudolph dove beneath the creature's talons, only for the pterosaur to pursue him through the skies! "Hold the reins, Hermy", said Yukon Cornelius as he pulled out his pistol, "I'll see if we shake this buzzard!" But then, several spears hit the pterosaur, impaling it and knocking it from the sky! "Take us down, Rudolph", said Yukon Cornelius, "I have a feeling we can get some help from the locals".

Rudolph dove down and landed just on the outskirts of a native village, with stone and wood huts lorded over by an immense, stone wall with tall wooden doors. "Whoa, Rudolph!", said Yukon Cornelius as they came to a stop in front of a crowd of native warriors, each carrying a spear. One of them, the witch-doctor, who had his face painted to look like a skull, approached. "Wa haka malaka", he shrieked, "Wa haka malaka woo!" "Ah, the language of the Nias Islanders", said Yukon Cornelius, "Watch and learn. Wa kooka booga! Malem me pakeno! Unga unga!" "Woota", said the witch-doctor, "Woota waka malaka!" "Maska musa!", said Yukon Cornelius. "Wunga!", cried the witch-doctor. Just then, the warriors stepped back and bowed as a young native woman clad in red robes stepped forward. "Mata mata", said Yukon Cornelius. "That won't be necessary", said the woman, "We may be cut off from the world, but we do learn. Who are you?" "I'm Rudolph, that's Hermy, and that's Yukon Cornelius", said Rudolph. "I am Kara of Skull Island", said the woman, "Why do you come to our island?" "Our friend may be trapped in the jungle", said Hermy, "We're here to rescue him". "Then we must hurry", said Kara as she turned to the witch-doctor, "Ookta wunjo hunya". "Mubase", said the witch-doctor.

On the other side of the island, the Bumble wandered through the jungle, coming upon a clearing on a cliff near the sea. The Bumble took a moment to look out to the fog in the distance. Suddenly, he heard a noise emanating from the jungle and decided to investigate. As he pushed some branches aside, he was set upon by a horde of raptors! Each one snarled as the feathers in their heads bristled. The Bumble roared and swatted two of the raptors away! He then pulled a tree out of the ground and tore off the branches, brandishing it like a wooden bat! The Bumble smacked several raptors aside before roaring at them! Just then, as the raptor horde snarled at him, they all noticed something crashing through the jungle. The raptors snapped their jaws before fleeing. The Bumble let out a confused grunt as the predators ran off. He knew something stronger than them was coming and readied his tree.

Just then, he felt the air above him shift as a massive beast leaped over him! He grabbed onto a vine and swung down in from of the Bumble! The Bumble gasped as he beheld the sight in front of him. It was a monstrous gorilla with huge muscles, wild eyes, sharp fangs, and some scars on his chest and back. No doubt about it, this was Kong. Kong snorted as he circled the Bumble on all fours, sizing up his opponent. The Bumble tried to attack with the tree, but Kong grabbed it and snapped it in two as he stood to his full height! Kong then punched the Bumble in the chest, sending him flying out into the clearing! The Bumble shook off the pain and dodged as Kong leaped down, slamming his fists into the cliff! Some large boulders fell into the sea as Kong tackled the Bumble! The Bumble slammed his fists onto Kong's back before grabbing the beast and body-slamming him! Kong leaped back as the Bumble stomped down on the ground in front of him! He looked back to see he was near the edge of the cliff as the Bumble charged! Kong was knocked clean off the cliff! The Bumble looked down to see only crashing waves before roaring and stomping off.

But what he didn't notice was that Kong had hidden himself inside of a fissure, having grabbed onto the side of the cliff. Rather than go up to fight the Bumble immediately, Kong took a moment to think. Obviously, this intruder was lost and had been attacked before, as evidenced by his earlier attack with the tree. Kong decided to head home and seek out his enemy from high up on his mountain. As he climbed up the side of the cliff, he didn't notice something stirring in the water beneath him.

On the other side of the jungle, Rudolph pulled the sleigh carrying Hermy and Yukon Cornelius through the thick foliage as Kara and her warriors walked ahead. Suddenly, Kara raised her fist into the air, a silent order to stop. She pointed to a rock, which three of the warriors climbed up on. All of a sudden, a brontosaurus stuck its long neck down to observe the small creatures below. It then noticed something and ran off. "What scared him off?", asked Yukon Cornelius. "Maybe it was those things", cried Hermy as three T. Rexes emerged from the brush! The three warriors threw their spears, only enraging the beasts! One knocked the warriors off of the rock with its tail, while another charged at Rudolph! The reindeer blinded the beast with the light from his nose, driving the T. Rex back! Yukon Cornelius reached into his backpack and pulled out a shotgun, blasting the Rex in the face, killing it instantly! The other Rexes snarled and snapped their jaws at the warriors! Kara knocked one back with her axe before climbing up the rock and pulling a whistle shaped like a skull out of her pouch. She blew into it, releasing a terrifying sound that resembled a shrieking woman. All at once, three massive beasts with gray skin and two long horns on their heads burst from the jungle, stabbing the T. Rexes! The predators ran off as the beasts bellowed victoriously! "Great gadzooks", exclaimed Yukon Cornelius, "What are those?" "Arsinotherium, I believe", said Hermy as he picked up some of the dead T. Rex's teeth, "These will make a fine addition to my collection". Kara leaped off the rock and onto the back of the Arsinotherium. "Onward", she commanded. The rest of the natives got onto an Arsinotherium and raced off with Rudolph towards Skull Mountain.

Elsewhere, on a secluded beach, a massive beast emerged from the sea and sniffed the air. He growled as he crawled onto shore, stomping down on the sand. It felt good to be on solid land again. Perhaps when he was finished on Skull Island, he could use the creatures her to exact revenge on the North Pole. Some raptors looked up at him before bowing. A small army, but it would do.

Rudolph flew up the side of the cliff as Kara and her Arsinotherium climbed up along the rocky trail. "From here, it should be easy to spot your friend", said Kara as everyone reached a massive hole in the side of the mountain. Rudolph landed in front of it, and Hermy undid the ties to the sleigh. "Won't be needing that in here", he said. Kara dismounted from the Arsinotherium and led everyone into the cave entrance. As they passed through the tunnel, the walls began to look more smooth, with ancient pictographs depicting massive apes locked in battle with various dinosaurs. Everyone walked through another massive doorway into an enormous hidden temple, with a set of stone stairs leading to another opening, a gigantic stone pictograph of a gorilla with both fists raised above a stone throne, a grand lake surrounded by cobblestone tiles, a small nook next to the throne filled with odd trinkets like skeletons, gold jewelry, and various pieces of oddly shaped stone. Near the entrance, Rudolph could see two ape skulls adorning the doorway. Other skeletons littered the space, some from the T. Rex species, others from the styracosaurus, and finally, more apes "Welcome to the Temple of Kong, King of Skull Island", said Kara.

Just then, they all felt the ground shake. Hermy covered Rudolph's nose as he and Yukon Cornelius hid behind a rock. The natives bowed as Kong emerged from the tunnel. Hermy, Rudolph, and Yukon Cornelius all felt their jaws drop as Kong wandered past, snorting as he caught a glimpse of the intruders. "So", said Yukon Cornelius, "That's Kong". Hermy let go of Rudolph, revealing his red nose. Kong looked on in fascination before grunting and walking off. He climbed up the precipice and sat upon his lofty throne, looking down upon the little creatures below.

Down in the jungle, the two T. Rexes had joined the raptors and a few flying pterosaurs as the evil army advanced through the jungle. The beast looked at his growing army and chuckled from his place in the shadows. But when he looked to Skull Mountain, he snarled. In his primitive mind, the beast knew he would have to face Kong. Better make it sooner rather than delay the inevitable. With a loud growl, he ordered his army forward, following the scent of something the beast knew from back at the North Pole.

Up in the temple, Kong sniffed the air and growled. He leaped off his throne and pulled himself up the stairs, with Rudolph, Hermy, Kara, and Yukon Cornelius following him outside. Down below, Kong caught sight of the Bumble trekking through the jungle. Kong growled before letting out a tremendous roar that shook Skull Mountain! The Bumble looked up and let out a roar of his own before stomping his way toward an acropolis with vast amounts of jungle overgrowth. "Looks like the intruder is heading for the lost city", said Kara. "That there intruder is our friend", said Yukon Cornelius. "Your friend is an enemy of Kong", said Kara as Kong vaulted down the mountain, swinging in on a vine before surfing down a cascading waterfall! "We need to get to the Bumble first", said Rudolph, "Hop on"! Hermy and Yukon Cornelius leaped onto Rudolph's back and he took the sky, flying as fast as he could towards the lost city.

The Bumble tore away some vines as he stepped into the lost city, an ancient acropolis with tall pyramids that looked like those of the Aztecs, small, stone houses, and parts of a giant wall that resembled the one that protected the native village. The Bumble gasped in awe as he wandered through the ancient city, marveling at the wonders his eyes beheld. Just then, he heard some branches snap and he snarled. Suddenly, he noticed the red light emanating from the jungle as Rudolph flew in and landed at his feet! "Found you", said Yukon Cornelius as he dismounted, "We better get going, Bumble, cause that grumpy gorilla, Kong, is heading this way". "Just one question", said Hermy, "How are we going to get him back to the North Pole?" "Well, that's easy!", proclaimed Yukon Cornelius, "We'll just...um, we'll have to...uh, I got nothin'." The Bumble scratched his head, then noticed something else crashing through the jungle. He pushed his friends behind him and roared angrily! Just then, Kong arrived, snarling as the Bumble roared. He knocked two trees out of the way and roared while beating his chest! The Bumble slammed the ground with his fists, challenging the ape. Kong growled as the Bumble charged. The beast ran forward and tackled the Bumble, sending them both careening into the lower levels of the lost city!

Kong and the Bumble leaped up and charged! Kong ducked under a fist and gave the Bumble an upper cut to the face! Then, he grabbed onto two buildings and drop-kicked the Bumble! The Bumble grabbed one of the decaying columns and used it to whack Kong across the face before kicking him into a building! He swung the column downward, only for Kong to dodge the attack, watching as the column shattered as it hit the ground! Kong then elbowed the Bumble in the chest before punching him in the face! The Bumble then bit down on Kong's arm, knocking both of them into a building! Kong then grabbed the Bumble and threw him over his shoulder, knocking him into a stone temple! The Bumble grabbed some stones and threw them at Kong, who deflected the attack by shattering the stones with his mighty fists! Then, Kong tore a palm tree out of the ground and used it to knock the Bumble into the wall! Kong tossed the palm tree away and punched at the Bumble, who ducked under the attack and hit the ape in the stomach! The Bumble grabbed Kong's arms, hoping to hold him down, only for the ape to push back! But then, Kong stopped pushing, letting himself fall on his back and kicking the Bumble over!

The Bumble roared before ducking under another punch and sweeping out Kong's legs! The ape then wrapped his legs around the Bumble's head before flipping around and releasing, knocking the Bumble into a hollow section of the wall! The Bumble shook his head before charging, grabbing the discarded palm tree and hitting Kong on the head and back! The Bumble tried to hit his head again, only for Kong to punch the tree in half! He then gave the Bumble an upper cut, sending him flying back! Kong then hit him with a left cross, knocking the Bumble onto a set of stone columns, knocking them down! Just then, Kong noticed a patch of tangled vines. As soon as the Bumble swung his right arm, Kong grabbed it and threw the Bumble in front of him! Then, he leaped up and drop-kicked him, sending him falling into the vines! The Bumble tried to free himself, but then, Kong leaped off the side of a pyramid and landed a solid punch to the face, knocking the Bumble out! Kong snarled, before letting out a tremendous roar while beating his chest!

"Kong has triumphed", said Kara as she ran up to Yukon Cornelius. Suddenly, an unearthly roar filled the air, forcing Kong to be on the defensive. Just then, a dark shape flew past the humans below and landed on top of one of the pyramids. It had black fur, cloven hooves, manacles with broken chains, red eyes, and two long, curving horns sprouting from its forehead. "It's Krampus", cried Rudolph. Krampus let out an enormous roar, and all at once, the raptors and pterosaurs attacked! Yukon Cornelius blasted two raptors with his shotgun, while Kara knocked some back with her axe! Some native warriors tried to throw their spears, only for two pterosaurs to fly in and grab them with their talons! Kong grabbed a pterosaur and slammed it into the ground, before then picking up a boulder and smashing it onto some raptors!

The Bumble shook himself awake and noticed Kong swatting raptors aside as the warriors threw their spears, killing some of them! Using his sharp teeth, the Bumble tore away the vines trapping him and immediately went to see if his friends were OK. As soon as he saw the raptors charge, the Bumble slammed his fists onto them! Rudolph then knocked another away with his antlers! "Boy, are we glad to see you, Bumble", said Yukon Cornelius as he reloaded his shotgun. The Bumble sniffed the air and growled as the two T. Rexes charged in with the raptors! He slammed against them, knocking them both to the ground! Kara blew her whistle, summoning the Arsinotherium herd, which used their horns to toss away some of the raptors! Just then, a pterosaur grabbed Kara as the T. Rexes broke free and started eating two native warriors!

Kong saw this and leaped up, grabbed the pterosaur, and freed Kara before slamming the flying reptile onto the ground, stomping it for good measure! One of the Rexes charged at Kong, hoping to eat the girl in his hand, only for the ape to grab it by the jaws and toss it back! Another Rex snapped its jaws at Rudolph, Hermy, and Yukon Cornelius, only for the Bumble to grab it by the tail and toss it into the lower levels! Kong set Kara down with Rudolph and the remaining five warriors before slamming his fists onto the raptors! The pterosaurs flew in to attack the humans below, only for the Bumble to grab them and smash them together!

Kong and the Bumble took a moment to look at each other, before turning their attention to another unearthly howl from Krampus. Each beast noticed how the other was caring for their people, their subjects, their families. Kong and the Bumble looked at each other, then to Krampus, who had leaped to another pyramid much closer to them. Their rivalry could wait. The time to beat this monster had come. Just then, a T. Rex roared before attacking an Arsinotherium, grabbing it with its three stubby claws and biting down on its neck! With the turn of its head, the Rex snapped the beast's neck! Kong growled as another Rex circled him and the Bumble. The two apes shared a nod and attacked each of the Rexes! The Bumble punched the Rex as it snapped its jaws! Then, he threw it over his shoulder! Kong leaped onto the other Rex's back and began pulling its jaws apart! He wrapped his legs around the dinosaur as the fell over, making sure to hit it against a rock! He then tore the beast's jaws apart, breaking them and killing the T. Rex!

Meanwhile, the Bumble dodged a tail strike before punching the beast in the face! The T. Rex then bit down on the Bumble's arm, only for the Bumble to bit it on the neck! He grabbed the beast by the neck and pushed it into a building! The Rex slashed the Bumble across the face with its claws before leaping up and kicking him like a kangaroo! The Bumble then grabbed the broken palm tree, and when the T. Rex charged in, the Bumble used it to stab the beast through the mouth, pushing the tree out the back of its neck!

Yukon Cornelius took a piece of dynamite out of his backpack and tossed it at the raptors before shooting it, blowing them up! "Come, Rudolph", said Kara as she jumped on his back, "I have a plan". They took to the air, the light from Rudolph's nose drawing the attention of the pterosaurs! As soon as they were in range, the warriors threw their spears and Yukon Cornelius fired his gun, knocking them out of the sky! Kara then leaped off of Rudolph and used her axe to slice a raptor's head off! Kong crushed two under his feet as Kara cut into a third! The last six raptors leaped onto the Bumble, cutting him with their claws! The Bumble then rolled over on the ground, crushing all of them!

Just then, Krampus leaped down and drop-kicked Kong with his cloven hooves, knocking him into the wall! The Bumble rushed forward to attack, only for Krampus to grab him by the neck and toss him to the ground! Kara whacked him in the leg with her axe, but Krampus knocked her aside with his hoof and prepared to stomp down! Yukon Cornelius ran over and used his pistol to shoot Krampus in the foot, causing the beast to howl in pain as Kong tackled him! Krampus punched Kong twice and kicked him back, then caught a boulder tossed by the Bumble! He threw the boulder back at the Bumble, hitting him in the stomach! Krampus then gave the Bumble an upper cut, knocking him back!

"How can we stop such a monster?", asked Yukon Cornelius as Kong was tossed aside by Krampus. "I think I have an idea", said Hermy, "Gather around". As soon as Hermy explained, everyone nodded in agreement. "It's as good as it gets", said Yukon Cornelius.

As Krampus was about to slam his fists onto Kong, the Bumble reached behind him and restrained the beast! Kong then took the opportunity to punch Krampus in the stomach twice before the monster kicked him and tossed the Bumble aside! The two apes shook their heads as Rudolph flew in, shining his nose in Krampus' eyes! "Now!", called Kara. At once, the warriors threw their spears, hitting Krampus in the side! But then, Kong punched him in the face, before leaping back as the two Arsinotheriums charged at Krampus, knocking him down! Krampus threw the beasts aside, only for the Bumble to kick him in the face! Krampus punched away an Arsinotherium, only for Kong to leap up, grab him by the horns, and slam his face onto the ground! Krampus knocked Kong back, only for Yukon Cornelius to shoot him in the back! He kept firing as the beast advanced! But then, his gun clicked. "Why did I have to run out so soon?", Yukon Cornelius lamented. The Bumble then bashed Krampus over the head with a boulder! He grabbed the monster by one of his horns, only for Krampus to shake him off, snapping the horn in the process! Then, Kong leaped over and drop-kicked Krampus, knocking the beast back before punching him in the face! Rudolph flew in, blinding Krampus with the light from his nose! Krampus swatted at the flying reindeer, only for Kong to punch him again! Just then, the Bumble body-slammed Krampus, knocking him to the ground!

Krampus kicked the Bumble away before blocking a punch from Kong! Krampus punched Kong, knocking the ape to the ground! But then, Yukon Cornelius tied a stick of dynamite to a spear and lit it. He threw it at Krampus' back, blowing it up! However, despite being burned, Krampus still stood tall! But then, the Bumble leaped forward, bashing a rock against the monster's face! Then, he punched the beast in his wounded side, causing Krampus to shriek in pain! Then, Kong and the Bumble grabbed Krampus by the arms and forced him through the stone wall, dragging him along the ground! Krampus broke free of the hold, punching the Bumble and throwing Kong over his shoulder! He tried to punch Kong again, but the ape dodged the attack and hit Krampus in his burned back! Before Krampus could retaliate, the Bumble leaped up and kicked him into a building! The Bumble then grabbed some vines and tied one of Krampus' arms behind him! Kong then grabbed his broken horn and charged, impaling Krampus! But the beast still wouldn't die! He swung his fists wildly as Kong and the Bumble continued to punch him! Kong grabbed a rock and slammed it against Krampus' shoulder, breaking it while the Bumble pulled his other arm out of its socket! Finally, the Bumble grabbed Krampus by his remaining horn and threw him over his shoulder and onto a sharp rock, impaling him and killing the demon instantly! Kong shook the head of Krampus before roaring and beating his chest! "They did it!", said Rudolph. "Wait 'till they hear about this at home". Kong looked to the Bumble and snorted before walking off into the jungle. Their rivalry was over, for the time being at least.

The next morning, the Bumble pushed the barge into the water as Rudolph pulled the sleigh with its ropes attached to it. "Farewell, strangers", said Kara, "and remember, this island belongs not to you or I, but Kong, forever and always." "Well, we won't be planning any summer trips in the future", said Yukon Cornelius, "So long, and good luck". The Bumble looked up to Skull Mountain to see Kong atop it. Before he disappeared into the fog, he caught one last glimpse of Kong roaring while beating his chest, establishing himself as the One, True King of Skull Island.

Soon enough, the Bumble found himself standing on the snow he was so familiar with. "Oh, it's good to be home", said Hermy as the Bumble rolled around in the snow. "Welcome back!", declared Santa Claus, "It's good to see you all. If you hadn't shown up, I would've mounted a full rescue". "That's very kind of you, sir", said Rudolph. Santa noticed some of the wounds on the Bumble as the beast wandered off. "I presume those are from Kong?", he asked. "And Krampus too", said Yukon Cornelius, "You should have been there! It was a royal rumble!" "I can imagine! Ho ho ho!", laughed Santa. The Bumble climbed up a mountain and let out a victorious roar!

Back on Skull Island, a new pictograph had been added to the tunnel. It depicted Kong and the Bumble locked in battle with the evil Krampus. Kara looked up to Kong, who grunted in approval before walking down the tunnel and into his temple. He strode up the stairs and out onto the cliff, looking down upon his domain before looking out at the foggy seas. Kong thought he could hear the Bumble's roar and smiled. He then let out a roar that all of Skull Island heard, from the natives to the dinosaurs. Kong beat his chest before walking back to his throne, happy to acknowledge a fellow hero.

Merry Christmas to all, and Happy 90th Anniversary to King Kong(1933-2023). Here's hoping you're all having a wonderful holidays, and here's to another 90 years.

The End.
