Hermione sat in the front passenger seat next to Ron, who was driving. In the back, Harry and Fleur had dozed off while the car moved along the winding icy road that was surrounded by snow covered trees.

"Watch out, it looks icy along this patch," Hermione said.

"Got it," Ron nodded.

Mere seconds later the car hit a patch of ice and caused it to skid momentarily before Ron managed to regain control. There was a collective gasp from everyone in the car as Harry and Fleur woke up. They all let out a sigh of relief as it eventually came to a halt.

Hermione reached over and punched Ron on the shoulder, "Ron! Pay attention!"

"Ouch! What was that for?" Ron winced and rubbed the painful spot.

Hermione looked over at Ron with a half-smile and said, "I'm sorry, your face makes me want to punch things. It's not personal."

"How is my face not personal?" Ron asked, offended.

Hermione playfully rolled her eyes, "You know what I mean."

"Trust me, Ron. It's not just your face. She wants to punch me too sometimes," Fleur chuckled.

"At least I know now I'm not the only one facing Hermione's wrath."

"Can we get back on the road now, please?" Hermione changed the subject, "Or should I take over driving?"

"Come one, Hermione. You know I'm the best driver among us."

"That's debatable," Harry chimed in with a smirk.

Ron pulled back onto the road and the car continued its journey. Harry and Fleur stayed awake, and the friend chatted along the way as they approached the cabin.

The car that held the four friends pulled up to the cabin they'd rented and saw that Neville and Luna had already arrived. Excitement filled the air as they stepped out and greeted their friends. They grabbed their luggage and stepped inside to begin exploring the cozy space. They wandered about as after each room a couple claimed it when they saw that there was only a single bed in the room.

"This place is amazing!" Harry said, his head looking around and taking in the warm atmosphere.

"Oui, I agree," Fleur nodded, curled up under Harry's arm as they walked through the house.

The group walked into the last room and saw that this room also had only one bed, "Uh, guys…this room only has a double bed too," Neville said when he entered the room first.

"Wait a minute…that means…" Hermione said as realization dawned.

"Looks like we're bunking together," Ron said sheepishly with blush-stained cheeks.

"You two will have your very own slumber party," Luna said dreamily.

Ron and Hermione shared a glance, a mix of amusement and embarrassment evident on their faces.

"Looks like we're in for an interesting holiday," Hermione said once the couples left to begin unpacking in their rooms.

"Always an adventure with you," Ron grinned.

Later that night Hermione walked into the bedroom in pajamas with a towel wrapped around her head. She found Ron already lying down on the bed flipping through a book.

"That's my side," Hermione smiled as she slowly towel-dried her hair.

"Oh, is it now? I thought, since I was already here, that I'd claimed it," Ron grinned.

"Nice try. Come on, move over. Please."

Ron chuckled but moved over to the other side of the bed.

Hermione sat down on the edge of the bed after she placed the damp towel on the back of the nearby chair. Her curls fell around her shoulders. She slid under the covers and settled in on her side of the bed. Ron adjusted his position and made himself comfortable.

"Are you going to hog all the blankets?" Ron teased.

"I do not hog blankets! You're the one that rolls up like a burrito in your sleep," she said playfully indignantly.

Ron grinned, knowing that she was right. He adjusted the blankets to make sure they were evenly distributed between them.

"Fair point. But you do steal blankets and then I end up half-frozen."

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Oh, please. You're like a furnace, I doubt you'd even notice."

They both settled down and faced away from each other in the bed. The room was filled with a comfortable silence.

"Hermione?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for putting up with me and my...burrito blanket habits."

Hermione smiled, "It's all part of the adventure, Ron."
