I am using Grammarly on all the chapters. The only problem I have with it is sometimes it will wants to take out the dialog and description I want because that is how the character talks. Then it says some people take offense to words like Major, Old Man, and Master bedroom. But it does catch a lot of my errors and, a lot of times will offer good suggestions.

Chapter One –All in the Family
SGC Gate room-
"Welcome back, SG1." Walter's voice announced over the speaker to the four people walking down the ramp from a device known as a Stargate. "Debriefing in one hour."
"Hey, where's Hammond?" Jack called up to Walter while glancing around for his superior, who was usually there to greet them upon their return.
"Emergency phone call regarding his grandchildren," Walter answers.
"Is everything alright?" Daniel inquires.
"I hope it's good news and they found them safe and sound." Major Samantha Carter inputs.
"Indeed. That would be good news." Was the response from Teal'c.
"Damn. I still can't believe that his estranged daughter and son-in-law were murdered in a fire. The kids have been missing now for almost two weeks. Sure, doesn't bode well for anybody." Jack says as he hands his gear to the closest Airman.
"I have no information at this point," Walter replies.
"I was surprised he continued to work after he heard it happened." Samantha Carter mentions while she follows her commander's lead and hands over her gear to the closest Airman.
"I asked him about that," Daniel said before he went quiet and wondered if he should tell his teammates what the general had told him.
"Spill, Danny boy, what did he say?" Jack demands as the team turns and looks at Daniel as if to say the same thing.
"The last time he spoke with his daughter, he promised she could find him at Cheyenne Mountain if she ever needed him. She told him she would tell the kids the same; he hopes they will come here looking for him." Daniel explains.
"I am curious as to why they were estranged?" Teal'c asks.
"His son-in-law did not like his wife being related to anyone in the military because he felt the military hides too many secrets from the public. That is the excuse he gave." Samantha sourly remarks.
"And you believe it is for another reason?" Teal'c interjects.
"Let me just say that the one time I met him made my skin crawl. He would use that as an excuse to control his wife." Samantha answers, recalling when she met the general's son-in-law and how he treated her and the other women.
After the team did their mandatory physical evaluation upon return, they headed for the conference room to find General Hammond waiting for them.
"Welcome back SG1. Normally, I would ask for a debriefing immediately. Still, something has come to my attention regarding the situation with my grandchildren and the death of my daughter and son-in-law. Before you ask any questions, let me explain a few things. I'm sure you may remember Sergeant Mayhill, who retired and took a job as a police officer. It so happens he is an officer in the same town where my daughter was killed. Sergeant Mayhill has informed me that there is a video that the FBI is going over with them in the next few minutes, and I want you to observe this because he is saying that it may involve the SGC." General Hammond informs them.
"Are you thinking that maybe someone in a rogue organization may have been responsible for what happened to your family?" Samantha Carter asks, and she takes her seat.
"I am not sure; all I know is Sergeant Mayhill was insistent that we observed what the FBI is about to reveal on this tape. So much so that he is putting his position in jeopardy. Mayhill has set up a link to contact them during the debriefing. You might want to put this on Teal'c," General Hammond answers as he hands the large black man a beanie to cover the symbol on his head.
"The FBI agreed to it?" Jack asks in disbelief.
"The FBI only agreed to it because we have better equipment to analyze the tape for additional information. When the call is over, I will have Carter and the lab techs take a look at it."
Once Teal'c covered his head and everyone had been seated, General Hammond used the remote to turn on the large screen. The picture opened to reveal several uniformed officers and plain-clothed officers arriving in a room and finding a seat.
Meanwhile, in a hidden secret lair beneath New York City at the same time, General Hammond is meeting with SG1.
"Have you heard anything yet?" The anxious voice of Michelangelo, the youngest brother of the four, energetically demands of his older brother, who is busy typing away on his computer.
"Whoever this Garcia is, they are one of the most amazing hackers I've ever seen. Their code is a beautiful work of art. I hate to have to break.". Donatello, also known as Donnie, remarks with awe as he continues to type away on his computer.
"So, you're finally admitting that someone's better than you on that damn nuisance of a thing." The Brooklyn-accented voice of Rafael comes through the door just before the brother steps through.
"I'm sure he can do it." The oldest brother, Leonardo, encourages as he follows Raphael through.
"Of course I did. I just hated to do it because it was so beautifully done. I just had to go around it a different way instead of accessing the computers of the FBI directly. I subrouted and rerouted through several different IPS. Basically, I went through the computer at the station. Then I also got everyone's phones there, including the FBI. We can then use their phones to hear everything they're saying and get a copy of any info sent to them." Donny started to say but then dumbs it down for them.
"So, you didn't hack the FBI completely?" Leo asks.
"Just the phones for now, but when they return to the FBI Headquarters, I can do it more completely because I used their phones. They won't be able to track me if they realize what I am doing. Even if they realize it is coming from their phones, the virus I sent to them will fry itself, so they can't track that either. I got their phones first and discovered they were about to start a meeting, so sit down and be quiet. From what I have heard, they're about to give their briefing on the unsub who murdered Chrissy's parents." Donatello explains while typing in a few more codes, and the large screen shows the police station's central area.
"Cool, we got a movie! I don't understand why she hasn't called or texted us. Yeah, I know she is in another state, but she knows we would come to get her, and we kick a major shell! I mean, she always answers my texts." Michelangelo worriedly says as he pulls out a large bowl of popcorn and puts his feet up while leaning back to watch the show.
"That is an excellent question, my son." Master Splinter says as if by magic, appearing right next to his son Michelangelo.
Michelangelo is so startled by his father's sudden appearance that he squeaks and falls backward while almost dumping the bowl of popcorn he had. By luck or design, Master Splinter had caught the bowl of popcorn with his tail before his son hit the floor.
"It seems you need more practice being aware of your surroundings, my son," Splinter says just before he eats some. The action caused his brothers to snicker slightly, which their father quickly silenced with a glance. After getting up, Mikie stands behind Master Splinter, making faces at his brothers, but stops when his father gives him the same look.
"As much as I don't like agreeing with Mikie. He's right. Why hasn't she called us? I mean, she is not so bad at kicking shells. You taught us and her to call for help when we need it." Raphael interjects. Not believing what his brother said, Mikie dramatically fakes a faint.
"Yes, she did learn that lesson and her other lessons. She was one of the fastest students I have ever seen learning the art. She reminds me of a legend I heard of a mythical young woman destined to fight ancient evil creatures of the dark to save the world." Master Splinter recalls as he strokes his go-tee.
"Who knows, maybe the FBI will give us a lead as to why," Leonardo says as he sits down to watch the screen as several police officers sit in their seats and FBI agents come filing in.
"Her brother hasn't even been on his game design stream yet," Mikie says.
"What does he make?" Donny asks.
"The most awesome landscape for M. Mind. The kid seems to know what people want. They are silly, fun, and challenging if you want. They range from simple to intensely hard traps to make it through. Take, for instance, I mean his ice-cream land is so cool and easy!" Mikie energetically told them as he pretended to lick a fake ice cream cone in his hand. "Tommy's most challenging and best yet is PizzaGate, where you change the placement of pepperoni on a giant pizza, and you can go to different worlds. Each world is unique and incredible with its adventures, but the underlying adventure, oh, that one is out of this world! There are these snake creatures who act like gods that take over NPCs and control them, so you have to free the NPCs to free the world." Mikie explains while grabbing a left-over pizza slice on his brother's desk.
"Get back on track. Looks like they are ready." Donny says as he focuses on the large screen while he types a note to check out the kid's games.
Location in a police station in a small town in far North Michigan.
Several police officers filed into the small room and began finding places. The one officer with the name tag Mayhill entered a few keystrokes on a computer to reveal a room with five occupants.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like you to meet General Hammond and his associates. His daughter and son-in-law were the ones murdered, while his grandchildren are the ones missing. Before anyone asks, they've agreed to use their computers and advanced technologies to help analyze the video you're about to watch. This is Dr Reed with the FBI behavioral analysis. He and his associates will go over their analysis of the unsubs. "Mayhill remarks, stepping aside to allow Dr. Reed to step up.
"As Sargent Mayhill said, this is more than one unsub, as you will see in the video behind me." The young man proceeds to say as he points at the screen that initially displayed only General Hammond and his associates, which then suddenly split into two different displays, one with the general and his associates and another of the inside of a house. "We obtained these videos from Xanatos Inc., who employed Matthew Jensen.
"I am surprised Xanatos gave the videos up so easily." One of the Detectives remarks.
"Mr. Xanatos said he wants whoever is responsible for this tragedy to be brought to justice," Mayhill answers them.
Little did anyone realize that it wasn't just the turtles secretly observing what was being shown.
The castle in the sky of NYC
"Make sure we record everything. I want to know who all the players are." David Xanatos tells his assistant.
"Yes, sir." Owen crisply answers but then takes note of something strange on his computer.
"What is it, Owen?"
"Sir, we are not the only ones secretly observing this."
"Can we track who it is?"
After a few moments of typing, Owens's face gives off a look of dismay or disbelief for a man like himself, causing David Xanatos to ask. "Something wrong, Owen."
"Well, according to what I am seeing, we are already observing the meeting, plus several other places are observing here in New York, Washington D.C., and Washington state. Strangely, one in New York is of us at and under the building. Many of the locations coming up in the other cities are public and underground."
"Now, isn't that interesting," Xanatos comments while he strokes his go-tee.
Back at the Station
As the video progresses, they observe who appears to be Cassie Jensen, the mother, in the kitchen preparing the evening meal on the screen. Still, they can see Tommy coming down the stairs with a baseball bat, looking around the room for a moment, then leaning it on the wall close to the back door.
"Tommy, you should put that back in your room. You know your father doesn't like it there." Cassie says from the kitchen.
"I'll move it in the morning." Tommy says but then quietly mutters, "I think Chrissy will need it." Tommy looks up at the cameras while he walks into the living room and starts to play a video game but then stops cocks- head to one side as if he is listening to something. A look of fear crosses his face for a split second, then relief, but the fear slightly returns.
"What is it, Tommy?" Cassie asks, noticing her son's strange look of fear rather than relief.
"Just Chrissy and Dad are coming, and he is unhappy." He answers but still looks slightly fearful.
"I don't know how you do that." Cassie remarks.
"Do what?" Tommy asks.
"Know who's coming and how sometimes you know things will happen before they happen."
"I don't know. I know it's Chrissy and Dad, but there is also some …." Tommy starts but stops as Chrissy walks in, followed by a very upset-looking Matthew Jensen.
"What the hell were you doing out this late at night?" Matthew demanded of Chrissy.
"First, it is only 8:00 p.m., so it's not late. Second, I was looking for a job." Chrissy answered as she showed him several pieces of paper.
"You are supposed to inform us when you go somewhere at night." Matthew snapped at her.
"I let Mom know, plus I left a message on the machine about where I was and what I was doing," Chrissy said, pointing first to her mother and then to the old answering machine with the flashing red light.
"Did you know where your daughter was and what she was doing.!?" Matthew demands while turning towards his wife.
"Yesss. She called me from school to inform me she would be looking for work at some of the local grocery stores and a few fast-food places." Cassie stutters quickly, returns to the oven, and pretends to check the roast. Once she knew she couldn't act any longer, she continued stirring the gravy over a flame stove.
"I am the father. You will tell me, not your mother. You don't need a job. You are going to find a nice husband and get married. Like your mom and I did.." He informs her while trying to take the paperwork from her.
"I will be 15 next week and have not even finished high school, so I will not get married for a LONG time. Especially to that creepy old guy you work for." Chrissy flatly told him with a look of disgust on her face.
"Mr. Waverly is not old. He is only 30." He told her.
"He's a pervert." Chrissy flatly said to him.
"Don't you take that tone of voice with me, young lady?" He yelled at her as he kept trying to take the applications, but her reflexes were too good, and she managed to keep them from him.
"Who are you talking about?" Cassie, the mother, asked from the kitchen.
"They're talking about that Jeremy Waverly prev. You know, the one that kept looking down all the women's and girls' shirts at the picnic last week. I heard Mrs. Johnson's daughter Kelly got knocked up by him, but Waverly had her abort it. She was my age. My teacher said that Kelly killed herself last week, and the girls in my class think it's because of him." Tommy answered as he turned off the game and walked into the kitchen to his mom.
"Don't you start, young man!" the father yelled.
"He's just telling it as it is, so don't yell at him," Chrissy said bluntly without raising her voice.
"I am the head of the household here. You will not disobey me, and you will not tell me what to do, young lady!" the father yelled.
"I want to finish school and get a job, then go to college and learn computers," Chrissy says but quietly remarks. "Or join the Air Force, just anything to escape you."
"Don't lie. I know you were not out looking for a job. I found this.". He accuses her as he holds up a green-looking flip phone device. "You are probably out with this Mikie you have been texting."
"You went through my room." Chrissy snaps.
"No, I found it when I was picking up the hooding you left on the Bannister this morning, which you asked me to repair. It fell out when I picked it up, and your father took it." Cassie answers.
"You don't deny you've been texting with this Mikie. You little slut."
"Mikey is my best friend from New York. He sends me bad dad jokes. He is a good kid. He and his brothers are part of a neighborhood watch." She answers as she tries to hold back the hurt the word causes.
NYC- Turtle Lair
"Did you hear that I am her best friend!" Mikie says as he sticks his tongue out at his brothers. "As her best friend, I can say that what he called her was not cool."
All his brothers and father nodded in agreement at the last part of what he said.
"Shell! It looks like the FBI has the shell cell." Rafael tells them.
"I don't think so. It was last sent an outgoing message that morning. "Donny says. "Mikey has been sending several messages but has not heard back either... Not to mention, I have a tracking system on it, and it's not activated at all, no matter what I do. Either it's been destroyed or is very well shielded. Let's keep watching and see what happens. Don't worry. I can fry it if it does turn up, and it will not lead back to us.
Police Station
Back on screen, the video is paused, and Dr. Reed uses a pointer to circle the shell phone.
"This cell phone was too damaged in the fire to be useful. We will send what was left of it to the Air Force to see if their computers can recover anything."
On the screen, General Hammond nods his head in agreement.
"Could that kid have known about what was going to happen?" An officer asks.
"You mean because of the baseball bat? We don't think so, according to Tech. Two weeks before this happened, Tommy woke up from a nightmare, ran downstairs, and stood at the back door with the baseball bat ready to attack. Since then, he has been putting it there ever since. Even when his father has ordered him to put it up, Tommy will put it up in the mornings but bring it back in the evenings around the same time."
Back at Lair
"That can't be good," Leo says, looking at the screen.
"Don't worry, it won't reach them. I will have it sent to the address of an old warehouse in the Bronx that we can retrieve it from." Donny says as he is typing away on his computer.
Castle in the Sky NYC
"Can we retrieve that cell phone?" Xanatos asks his assistant.
"It would not be wise at this moment to try to retrieve evidence from the FBI."
"This is true. Ensure that if Tommy is found, we keep close tabs on him. It seems he may be exceptional. Do what you can to find this Mikie kid and his brothers. Since he is from around here, he shouldn't be too hard to find. Be sure to investigate Jeremy Waverly. If what they are saying is true, I think a transfer to the Antarctic project with a reduction in pay will be a nice change for him. Along with a classified note to the supervisor informing him of Jeremy's tendencies toward younger women and to make sure that he is given the most hated jobs he can find for him to do."
"And if he quits?"
"He'll have to find his way back," Xanatos says, knowing that his company was the only one providing transportation in that area.
To which Owen just nodded his head and replied. "Yes, Mr. Xanatos." While thinking he might have his puck side in a not-so-pleasant way, pay a visit to Jeremy.
Police station
On-screen, the disagreement between father and daughter continues.
"I don't care! You will not contact him again, and you will be a good girl and do as you are told!"
"I am good. I have a plan." Chrissy says as if she has had enough of his crap.
"YOU WILL DO AS YOU ARE TOLD." The father yells as he goes to strike her, but she sees his intention before he can make the move, and she steps back out of range.
The video is paused again.
"General, I am unsure if you want to see this."
"If you mean that he was abusing my daughter and grandchildren. My wife and I had our suspicions. This will confirm them." General Hammond informs them. "This is also a good time to inform you that a lawyer contacted my wife and I this morning. It seems my daughter left a storage locker and willed it to be given to us in case of her death or sudden disappearance. My wife and I decided it would be best if we came and opened it. I made arrangements to leave within the next couple of days."
"We can have Agent Jareau meet you." Agent Hotchner tells him.
"That would be fine. I will send you the pertinent information after the meeting." General Hammond tells them.
Dr. Reed just nodded his head and continued to play the video.
"Get back here and take what you deserve for disrespecting me." He demands.
Crissy just gave him a look that said. "As if." He responded by grabbing up the closest thing to him, which happened to be a kitchen butcher knife on the counter.
Seeing that Matthew is about to attack her daughter, she steps up. "MATTHEW!"
"WHAT Do you want!?'" Matthew yells back at her.
"Dinn…." Cassie stutters but starts back away as he stalks towards her with the knife raised.
"You are always defending that brat of yours." Matthew angrily spurted out as he raised the knife even higher. As he is about to plunge it down on her, Tommy starts screaming. "No, Dad!" and runs over and stops him, but Chrissy beats him to it by picking up the glass centerpiece on the kitchen table and throwing it at Matthew.
The aim is true and hits him in the head, causing the glass to shatter and draw his attention back to her. Then Mother runs towards the front door, which bursts open to what appears to be a strange goblin-like creature. Cassie lets out a genuinely terrifying scream, stopping her family's fighting, so they watch the creature use a long knife to slice through her. Killing her instantly.
"MOM!" Both kids scream at the same time.
"No one touches her but me! Matthew screams as he goes and attacks the creature. Meanwhile, other similar-looking creatures start to break in through windows. "Take your brother and get out of here. Go to your grandfather!" Matthew yells as several others attack him.
Seeing that he was right, Chrissy grabs her brother's hand and drags him to the back door but sees a creature breaking through the window in the door. As the creature climbs through the window, Chrissy quickly looks for a weapon and finds a baseball bat beside the door. She hits the creature over the head several times.
"Shit!" There is more! Tommy yells.
"What your mouth!" Chrissy snaps at him as she hits the creature one more time, killing it. She grabbed his hand again and ran for the stairs. Just before a creature got in her way for a few moments, Chrissy used the bat with one hand, hitting the creature between the legs, causing it to grab its private parts and fall over in pain while she ran around dragging her brother up the stairs.
The video paused again.
In the Turtle lair
"That's got to hurt." Leo grimaced.
"Way to go, dudette!" Mikie yells while he pumps one hand in the air. "That's my best friend."
"Another reason I am thankful for our shells," Donny states as he crosses his legs under his desk.
"She always liked to cheat, but it works." Ralph laughs.
"What are those things?" Leo asks, and he bends to get a better look at the creature on the screen.
"I hope they aren't mutants like us. Because man, oh man, are they UGLY." Mikey says with a gross look on his face.
"No, they look like some kind of demon." Master Splinter remarks. "Now hush, the FBI is talking."
SGC
The members of the SGC did their best not to make any facial expressions, especially as they each had a similar thought as to one word. "Aliens!"
Castle in the Sky NYC
David X. just stood staring at the screen, stroking his chin, wondering what types of creatures they were. "This is interesting. They don't appear human."
The fay known as Puck, who was currently hiding under the disguise of Owen, ground his teeth at the disgusting creature he immediately recognized as a Bringer who worked for the first but refused to comment on.
Back at the police station
"We have not yet discovered who these people in these Halloween masks were." Dr. Reed says as he points to the creature in mid-fall that was paused on the screen.
"These unsubs took out the parents first. This action tells us they believe the parents were the main threats."
"I think the girl with the baseball bat was more of a threat." An officer in the back quietly snickers.
"I am glad you brought it up. Even though they did kill the parents first, the way they went about trying to get the kids, we believe they were after their children. Once they don't directly see the kids, they become too chaotic, leading us to believe their main leader was not among them. See how they attacked the furniture for no reason at all." Doctor Reid remarks on the officer's comment and hits play.
The video played from the backside of the staircase as children ran up to the upper floor. The children came up with some creatures chasing them up the stairs, and the others started destroying the entire downstairs. One of the creatures haphazardly throws things around in the kitchen, starting a fire.
The two kids weren't even halfway up the stairs when a creature grabbed Tommy by the pant leg. Thinking quickly, Tommy uses one of the family portraits on the hall wall to bash the creature over the head. This stuns it just enough for Chrissy to come down hard with the baseball bat on its head. The creature falls down the stairs, taking a few others with it. Chrissy drags her brother up the stairs and into her room, slamming and locking the door shut. The video paused once again as an officer spoke up. "Why does a 14-year-old have a deadbolt on her bedroom door?"
"I believe I can answer that my wife and I have suspected him of possibly abusing the children, especially Chrissy, but unfortunately, we did not have any evidence to prove it. I ensured she had enough money in her savings account to purchase things like that." General Hammond answered.
"Are you saying she has a debit card in her name and can use it anytime? If you give us the information, our tech can track it down." Agent Rossi remarks.
"The last time the card was used was twice that day, once to purchase some fast food before Chrissy came home. But what's most interesting is that she took out her three-hundred-dollar limit about 2 hours after all this happened, just two towns over." General Hammond tells them. "I sent it to your tech before we started this call. I have already informed the bank to alert us if there is any activity on it. However, I didn't have it closed, so she can use it if needed. I do not want it shut off."
"I'll have our tech access the footage from that camera." Agent Rossi says as he makes a call.
The people just nodded their heads in agreement with General Hammond. When he was done speaking, Doctor Reid took it as a sign to continue the video.
(What happened off-camera in Chrissy's Room)
Once secure inside the room, Chrissy hands off the baseball bat to her brother. "Take this. If anyone or anything comes through that door, don't think twice. Just smash it in the head!" Chrissy orders her brother.
"This is just like the nightmare I have been having," Tommy mutters as his shaking hands grip the bat.
"What did you say?" Chrissy asks while grabbing up some gloves and shoving them into her jacket.
"Oh, just want to know what we will do?" Tommy stammers out the lie while he chokes up on the bat and takes a typical batter's stance.
"Hope Dad did not find my bug-out -bag or weapons." Chrissy answers as she kicks over her laundry basket, causing it to spill, revealing a large, drawstring, old, oil-skinned canvas backpack that appeared full of items and ready to go."
"What's a bug-out- bag? Wait, you have weapons? Like a gun, I hope." Tommy asks hopefully.
Chrissy grabs a jacket from the back of her desk chair and throws it at her brother. "A Bug-out-bag is a bag you have always packed and ready to go with essentials. I already have a jacket, so use this one. No, I don't have any guns." She tells him while quickly grabbing two large cardboard poster tubes hidden under the bed, "But I got these." Chrissy says as she opens the tiny tubes to reveal that they hold a few throwing stars, a single sigh, and a pair of well-worn nun chucks. She quickly attached the chucks to her bag and placed the sigh between her belt and jeans. She then carefully places the stars into a large pocket of her black cargo pants. Once that was done, she put the backpack on and held the sword in a ready position Master Splinter had taught her.
"Do you even…." Tommy starts to ask but is interrupted as a creature bursts through her bedroom window. Without thinking, Chrissy sidesteps while using the Katana in a move that Master Splinter had spent many weeks drumming into her. Before the body hits the floor, its head plops off and rolls away from the body.
"What were you asking?" Chrissy says that at first, she was a little in disbelief that she had done it right this time.
"Oh crap, you killed him." Tommy gags.
"Better him than us as they did to Mom and Dad."
"That's weird. Why isn't his blood red?" Tommy says as he stares at the yellow blood oozing out of the creature's neck.
"It doesn't matter that his blood is…. Oh shit. That's yellow, and it looks like it's glowing." Chrissy remarks as she tries to hold back her gag reflex.
"And man, do they stink," Tommy says as he covers his nose to the rancid odor that started to permeate the room from the decapitated corpse.
"Oh hell!" Chrissy says as she follows suit, covering her mouth with her sleeve."
"I think I'm going to be sick," Tommy says as he tries not to barf.
"Don't!" Chrissy commands.
"My nightmares never got this far. Okay, but what do we do now?" Tommy gags while putting the jacket on with one hand while keeping a firm grip on the baseball bat with the other hand.
"We get out of here and head for Grandpa. Wait... What? Was this one of your nightmares?
"Yeah. Why do you think I put my baseball bat down by the back door every day for a while now? I hoped it wouldn't happen, but I knew Mom and Dad wouldn't believe me."
"Why did you put it there?"
"Because it wasn't there in the nightmares, and they got us as we tried to leave. So, I figured that if it was there, it either wouldn't happen, or you could use it like you did. And now we are still alive, and I always woke up when they killed us." Tommy explains.
"Well, you changed it, and we are alive and have a plan. We are heading for Gramps!"
"How?"
"For now, out the window, get down to the ground, then run like hell because I think the demon monster things are chasing us."
"Really, I thought you hated heights?"
"I hate heights, but what chance do we have if we don't? "You can use the door," Chrissy says as she starts out the window. Tommy saw the door about to give way as a creature tried to get through it.
"Right behind you, sis," Tommy says as he follows her out the window onto the roof.
They come to the edge of the house and stop. Chrissy does one of the dumbest things she can do. She looks down and freezes.
"Siss, come on, we got to move. They're coming." Tommy urges, seeing his sister is starting to freak out.
"I l ll. I can't do this."
"Come on, sis. You can do this. You just kicked major ass back there you can do this." Tommy counsels.
"I am scared…" Chrissy stutters as she starts to pull back from the edge when Tommy says, "We can go this way." Tommy tells her as he pulls her toward the garage roof. Once there, they hop down to an even lower roof of the back shed. Together, they jump down the small shed.
"Thanks, bro."
"You got my back. I got yours."
The moment doesn't last long as a couple of the creatures come running about the corner of the garage, so the two siblings take off towards the street with the creatures not far behind them.
(Back on camera, no sound)
"Unfortunately, we could not get any sound on the following you are about to watch as we only had access to street cameras." Doctor Reed explains.
The screen shows a fuzzy street with the children running down it and some creatures chasing after them. Tommy stumbles but doesn't fall. It slows them down enough for one of the creatures to grab hold of Tommy's jacket. Tommy screams, causing his sister to stop long enough to take two slices at the creature. The first slice takes the arm that was holding the jacket, and the next takes out the left leg, allowing Tommy to get a headshot in with the baseball bat. They both start running again. The children are almost out of the camera's sight when a black vehicle pulls up in front of them. Chrissy gets in front of her brother to protect him from the Strangers. Two men exit the black car, one very tall and another medium-sized. Both pull out nine-millimeter guns and start to fire, not at the children but at the creatures running up behind them.
After years of living in New York, both children ducked when the strangers pulled out handguns. Both men made sure to use headshots on the creatures. When there was a break in the creature's onslaught, the taller one of the two men cautiously approached the kids and spoke softly to them while the other one kept a lookout for any other creatures. Though no sound could be heard, it was obvious that there was a short conversation between the siblings and the tall man. Whatever was said convinced the children to get in the car with them. But only after adamantly insisting they go with him, plus with more creatures running up the street towards them. Once the children were in the car, the vehicle backed out and drove off from the camera's line of vision. A few minutes later, the video went black.
The backseat of a Chevy Impala (no camera)
"Are you kids, OK?" the driver asks.
The children nod their heads and look at each other.
"How do we know we can trust you?" Chrissy asks as she aims her sword at the back so that she can stab through the back of the driver if they pull anything.
"Listen, we were at a bar when we heard someone say that your house was going to be attacked and they were going to kill everyone."
"Why didn't you call the cops?"
"Tried they thought we were crazy." The Driver says with a look that said. "Would you believe us?"
"It's all going to be OK. We'll take you to the local police station." The tall passenger tells them.
"Still doesn't explain why you are here."
"Something. Someone killed our mom when we were kids, and well." The taller one explains.
"Sis, it's okay. They are okay." Tommy told his sister with a look that spoke more. "We can trust them."
"How can you be sure you said that.."
"I just know. Please trust me."
Chrissy nods to her brother and then asks. "Now what?"
"Like my brother said, we will take you to the cops."
"No. We can't. They will die! Grandpa is the only one who can help. We must go to him!" Tommy says with a look of horror at the thought of what may happen if they go to the cops.
"Kids, I don't know who your grampa is, but the cops are close and..."
"They are not safe. We will not be safe..." Tommy says with a far-off look.
"Listen, if Tommy says Grandpa, then it's Grandpa. Plus, I promised Mom that if things went bad, that is where we would go."
"I am not going to listen to..."
"Dean, it would be best to listen to the boy." A new voice says who suddenly sits next to Tommy, startling everyone in the car.
"Who the hell?" Chrissy says as she aims the sword at the new being in the car and pulls her brother to her.
"Son of Bitc!" "Damn it, Cass, don't do that." Dean snaps. Cass's sudden appearance startled him so severely that he swerved into the other lane and had to put it back.
Tommy stares at Cass momentarily, then relaxes and says with a bright smile. "Wrong direction, Sis."
"The Bringers will keep coming after the child. The local police will not be able to stop them. The children's grandfather is the only one who can protect the boy."
"So, what's so special about your grandpa?" Sam asks as if not fazed by what happened.
"He is General George Hammond, US Airforce, stationed in Colorado at Cheyenne Mountain," Tommy answered.
"How will we get them into an Air Force Base?" Dean sarcastically remarks.
"That's not just any Airforce base that is NORAD," Sam tells them.
Cass looks in bewilderment at the young boy next to him. The two stare at each other as if they were having a conversation no one else could have or understand. With a nod, Cass turns and says, "You must listen to him. He is special." Then, he is gone.
"I really hate it when he does that. Oh, great. How are we going to get them there without getting busted." Dean mutters.
"You won't be stopped," Tommy says with a smile.
"Are you sure about this?" Sam asks.
"If Tommy says it. It will happen unless we somehow change it. So, you can believe him."
"Everything will be okay. It will just take a little time." Tommy tells her with a knowing look.
"Okay, kids, sit back. We have a long journey ahead."
"More some than others," Tommy says as he looks at his sister with a sad face.
"What?" She asks.
"I love you sis."
"I love you too." The two hugged each other tighter.
Police station just as the screen goes black.
"Unfortunately, that is all we have. The fire that took the house also took out the power source to the camera. We were not able to get the license plate of the vehicle. We could not identify them because the two men were too far from the cameras. At this time, we cannot determine whether these men were involved with the unsubs." Doctor Reid explains.
"That's a 1967 Chevy Impala." An officer tells the room.
"How do you know?"
"My Dad had one. I swear he loved her more than my mom." The officer answers.
"What about the bodies of the unsubs? Were you able to find any?" Someone asks.
"We found no evidence of bodies anywhere, not in the wreckage or outside. It was determined that they cleaned up after themselves by taking the bodies with them while setting fire to the house. We believe they did that to cover their tracks by destroying any evidence that might be left behind."
"What about the shells from those guys' guns?" Jack asks.
"The ones we did collect were too damaged to get any information from." Reed answers. "Though they seemed to be a special load because of the residue of silver and salt left behind. We have our tech looking into other similar loads."
"Do you know who may have sent them?" an officer asks.
"Not currently. General, do you have any idea who might?" Reed asks Hammond.
"I have a few enemies. I'll have a list sent to you of the ones you can look into while I look into others." General Hammond replied as he glanced at Jack with a single thought: "NID."
"Why don't you give us the whole list? Agent Rossi asks.
"I am sorry, but that is classified. I will have my people investigate them. If we discover anything, your team will be informed after it is dealt with on a need to know." General Hammond said with a voice that left no room for disagreement.
"I understand," Rossi responded.
"Where did Chrissy get that sword?" Jack O'Neill asks in awe.
"It would appear she had some training with it. She could dismember the same creature not just once but twice without wasting any motion. She also carries the weapon like a seasoned warrior." Teal'c commented in admiration.
"Some training reminds me not to piss her off." Jack almost inaudible mutters, to which General Hammond just gives a slight glace with a quick him as if to say, "DAMN STRAIGHT."
"We are under the impression that she may have been part of a neighborhood watch in New York. However, our computer tech couldn't find anything on it. She did note that there has been an extreme increase of anonymous good Samaritans dropping off muggers and Street thugs at the police station door without being seen while she was living in New York. The anonymous good Samaritans are still at work, and I'm presuming that this Mikey she had been texting is part of them. They may have taught her some martial arts and how to use that sword, though." Reed answers.
"Does anyone else find it unusual that a girl her age has a backpack ready to go," Carter asks.
"Actually, that was mine, and she fell in love with it when she was little, so I gave it to her, and she always had it ready to go when she came over to visit us." General Hammond answers fondly.
"Any trace as to how the unsubs arrived at the house?" Officer Jarod Hunter asks.
"Actually, our computer tech, Garcia, found a few things." Special Agent Derrick answers as the screen showing past events is replaced by a pretty blonde appearing on the screen.
NYC- Turtle Lair
"Wow. That is Garcia?" Donny drools at the lovely lady on the screen.
"Oh boy, Donny has got the hots." Raph teases but is knocked on his shell by Master Splinter's tail, then reprimands him, "Hush, I wish to hear what the pretty lady has to say."
Police station
"Yes, my fellow crime fighters, I did, but not how the unsubs arrived, at least not yet. But if you check your phones, you will see I sent you the list of possible places where they purchase these costumes. I also investigated rentals. Sorry to say, no one has rented any Costumes that resembled them."
"What if they made them?" An officer asks.
"I have no way of tracking that because there is such a large community of horror fans and cosplayers. On Dr Reeds' suggestion, I investigated similar attacks in the state and outside. I got several hits. But they all only had one thing in common: they had girls either close to Chrissy's age or close to it. I found in the past week a total of 5 Families with children like the age of Chrissy. What is suspicious about these attacks is I found it a little difficult to find them because they were labeled homicide by the father or family dying in a house fire. If they did survive, we have no record of where they have gone. I also added recently missing girls of her age in the past month. There has been an uptake of girls Chrissy's age missing from one to now 10 in less than a month. I moved it to a surrounding state and at least 5 in each state. I have also discovered that the rate of disappearance of girls of similar age or close to Chrissy's age has suddenly increased in almost every state."
"Could it also be in another country?" Officer Jared Hunter asked, fearing the answer as he thought that The Center might be behind these kidnappings.
"Score one for the cute brunette." Garcia cheerfully remarked, then continued. "I am waiting to hear back from Interpol. And will update you guys accordingly."
"You are saying that this may not be about my family?" General Hammond asked.
"At 1st appearance, yes, but let's not eliminate that quite yet." Agent Rossi's input to General Hammond just nodded his agreement.
"This sounds like a huge operation." An officer points out.
"At first glance, it does, but if you delve deeper into it, you'll see that these people are moving fast. Our analysis shows they hit a few in a few states and then moved on quickly to the next state. They never stay in a state very long." Agent Reed explains.
"Is there anything about these girls they seem to target other than their age?" An officer asks.
"The only thing we know that connects the girls is similar age and gender. The rest is off the map. Nothing seems to be similar to their history, education, cultural background, hair color, even their shoe size varies." Garcia answers.
"What could they want with these girls?"
"By the looks of it, they just want them dead and fast."
"Do you think that they may still be in the area?"
"They seemed just to go in, hit their targets, and leave. So, unless they have another target in the area, we think they have moved on. That doesn't mean we shouldn't still stay alert and keep looking."
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I have access to the ATM Camera, and I am transmitting the information now," Garcia says as a picture of Chrissy and Tommy appears on the screen.
"That was fast," Jack says.
"She's just that good." Agent Derek Morgan smiles.
Both children seemed a bit nervous. Tommy would glance side to side with his sister, doing the same while she entered her pin. They noticed a tall man with his back to the camera watching the surrounding area. After she receives the money, she gives the camera a thumbs-up sign, and both children say something just before she and the others on the screen become tense. Tommy suddenly looked to the right and said something, then pushed his sister in the opposite direction while the man started firing at something, and then the screen went black.
"Do we know what they said?" An officer asks.
"It appears as though they were saying…. Grandpa, we are okay and coming." Doctor Reed said as he got a closer look at the screen.
"If the children are okay, you might have company soon. But I am sorry that they may still be being chased." Agent Rossi tells General Hammond.
As the General was about to respond, an airman came in running and saluted him, saying. "General. Sir"
"What is it?" General Hammond asks.
"A few minutes ago, a young man approached the gate guard and said he was your grandson." The airman relayed.
"Just one child?" Dr. Reed asked over the screen.
The Airman looked at the screen and then at the General, who just nodded to him to go ahead and answer the question.
"Just one child."
"Has he said anything?"
"Just that you are his grandfather, and he wanted to see you."
"Do you know who brought him?"
"No, Sir. Security is looking into it as we speak. The cameras have a black Chevy Impala dropping him off down the road." The Airman answers.
"Call for Doctor Frasier and have her meet me at Level 12 Medical wing." General Hammond orders the airman. Turns back to the camera he says. "Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, I am going to see to my grandson." Just before he leaves, Agent Hotchner's voice asks. "Sir, could you have him come to this room at all possible so we could interview him?"
"We will see what Doctor Frasier says after his checkup first. And if she agrees to it. I suggest that you send someone here." General Hammond says just as he leaves the room.
"Well, is there anything else that we should know so that we can relay it to the General?" Jack asks as he glances back to the screen after watching his superior quickly leave the room.
"No, that seems to be all."
"We'll be seeing you," Jack says as he tries to shut the camera off but fails and has Carter do it.
Once it's off, Jack asks Danny and Tealc'. "Do you two recognize what type of creature that was?"
"I am unfamiliar with it." Tealc' answers.
"I don't recognize it either, but it is one of the ugliest ones I've ever seen," Daniel responds.
"You can say that again. But don't." Jack snaps back.
"Do you think that we might have a foothold situation?" Carter asks.
"I don't think so, but I'll talk to General Hammond after he sees his grandson. I'll have extra security to the base just in case." Jack says.
"I will get busy researching it. Maybe I can find something in some text." Daniel inputs.
"I'll help the lab techs with the videos," Carter remarks.
"Teal'c and I'll go and check on the security cams and see if you can get anything else for them. All right, boys and girls, we have a plan. Let's move out." Jack says with a clap of his hands, and everyone heads out to accomplish their tasks.
