Summer was still. One second, she was overjoyed at the prospect of what Nicholas had just told her. She was going home. Suddenly Nicholas yelled.

"SNIPER! GET DOWN!" the next thing she knew, the commissar had tackled her to the ground as a gunshot rang out. Summer felt something hit her and shatter her already weak aura. "Spread out find the sniper!" she heard Adler order.

The sound of multiple footsteps rushing away from her. Most likely guardsmen running off to find the person responsible. "Summer!" she heard Daniels call out as Nicholas got off her. He helped her up as she regained her bearings.

"What happened?" she asked. "a sniper, the commissar tackled you to the ground so you didn't get shot." Daniels said. "But I was. My aura's shattered." Summer said before her eyes widened. "NICHOLAS!"

Summer and Daniels rushed to the Commissar's side, whom was being overseen by Adler and two guardsmen. "Is it bad?" the former huntress asked the apothecary. Adler looked at her and nodded grimly.

"the shot nicked an artery. There's nothing I can do, but maybe you or Daniels could." Daniels nodded and was about to approach when Nicholas spoke up.

"No, please don't deny me this death." The commissar said. "But I thought.." Summer began. "I know. I wanted to see Remnant with my own eyes, but I wasn't about to let twelve years of work go to waste due to a heretic sniper's bullet." Nicholas said breathing heavily. He looked at the former huntress. "You deserve to see your family again."

"Allow me to give you a gift before I pass." Nicholas said removing his hat. "Daniels could you hold this towards her for me? Adler take my sword and do the same." The two did as they were asked and one of the other rested the dying commissar against a dead tree.

The Call by 2wei plays

"Summer Rose, I hereby pronounce you as the new commissar of the 863rd Death Korps." Nicholas said. "I can't, I mean I never went to the Schola Progenia you spoke of." Summer said. "that may be true, but you have shown tactical expertise during meetings, and have rallied units that weren't Death Korps. As I recall you said you once led a team of huntsmen."

Summer nodded as tears threatened to fall. "Do you accept your new position?" Nicholas asked. Summer placed a hand on the hat and clenched her other hand into a fist remembering yang and ruby.

"I accept." She said solemnly before removing her helmet. Daniels gingerly placed Nicholas's hat atop her head. "Summer." Nicholas said as his breathing became heavier. "Please take my ashes to Remnant and scatter them to the wind. It's been an honor." Summer shook her head.

"No, the honor was mine. And I will fulfill your request." She said. Nicholas smiled before closing his eyes and slowly going limp.

Song ends

2 MONTHS LATER

Summer glanced at Daniels, who was carrying a silver urn, as they walked down the halls of a cathedral on Cadia. "Why'd Alder want us to meet him and some others." Daniels shrugged. "You've got me Commissar Rose." Summer chuckled. "We're alone, you can call me by name." Daniels gave her a flat look.

"Anyways, Adler said something about a making a new Chapter of Space Marines… whatever those are." Summer said. Daniels froze in his tracks. Summer didn't just say a new chapter of Space Marines did she? "Did I hear you correctly commissar?" he asked

"Daniels, what's wrong?" the commissar asked. "You don't know what a space Marine is?" Daniels asked. Summer shook her head

"Space Marines or angels of death as they're often nicknamed as, are considered the most elite soldiers of the Imperium able to live for centuries possibly millennia if they're lucky." Summer was shocked at this bit of information. However, before she could respond a very familiar voice spoke up.

"Commissar Rose, and Captain Daniels good to see you again." The two turned to see Adler smiling at them. "Good to see you old man." Summer said before noticing that Adler was wearing different armor than he had been on Vraks for twelve years.

He was wearing bright red armor with puldrons with silver trimming. To Summer's surprise, her emblem was not only painted in red on the right puldron, but it was emblazoned in silver on the chest piece whilst being bordered by the Imperium's aquila wings. He seemed to also have a white cape on his back

"Impressed?" he asked. "Surprised at the change of appearance." Summer said. Adler chuckled. "and I'm not the only one either." He said gesturing towards the pair.

Daniels had one of his shoulder pads painted red to distinguish himself further from the rest of the 863rd Death Korps. Summer, meanwhile, adopted a combination of traditional commissar clothing and her original huntress outfit. She was now wearing her white cloak once again instead of the commissar's usual overcoat

"What'd you want to show me?" Summer asked. Adler smiled. "Right this way. He said before heading to a door. "Brace yourself Commissar, some are a bit fanatical." Adler said causing Summer to raise an eyebrow.

As the door opened she noticed at least forty more armored people like Adler. However, all of them wore helmets. "Astartes about face." Adler said and all the armored men turned and kneeled.

"why are they kneeling to you?" Summer asked Adler. "We aren't kneeling to the chapter master my lady." A voice to her right said. Summer turned to the source and saw one of the armored men looking at her. He immediately looked down.

Unlike the others, whose helmets were completely red with silver eye holes, he had a white stripe going down the middle of it and his arms. Daniels came up next to summer.

"He's a sergeant. A Space marine that's survived hundreds of battles." He said. Summer glanced at him and nodded slightly before looking at the kneeling space marine.

"Then to whom are they kneeling to Sergeant?" Summer asked. "you, my lady." He said. "our chapter was created to both serve and aid you in your war to free Remnant of the Grimm scourge." The Sergeant said.

"May I ask your name?" summer asked. The sergeant's head shot up looking at the woman his chapter was to serve. He looked to chapter master Adler who nodded.

"Brian, my lady. Brian Dixon." The marine said. "well sergeant Dixon. Will you do something for me?" Summer asked causing the marines to freeze whilst some of them felt extremely jealous that their holy leader chose the sergeant for a great task.

Summer looked at Daniels, who approached and handed the urn to her. "This urn contains the ashes of the leader of the 863rd Death Korps before me, Nicholas Reiner. Look after it until we arrive on remnant will you?" she asked

Dixon swallowed a lump in his throat as he gingerly took the urn. "I shall look after it with care my lady." He said. Summer smiled before looking at the others with a stern face.

"I understand that that the Space Marines are nicknamed the angels of death. Once you're on remnant. Consider yourselves that no longer. To the people of Remnant both human and Faunus.. you are their Angels of Hope. Am I understood?" she said.

"Yes, Holy Leader Rose." Came the cries of many marines.

Summer sweat dropped at their proclamation as Adler came up. "Those would be the fanatics I warned you about. They see you as the holy leader of the entirety of remnant, but disguise it well so they aren't labeled traitors to the imperium." Summer looked at him ludicrously

"you don't say." She deadpanned. "You haven't told us the name of this chapter of Space Marines Adler." Daniels said. Adler smiled. "Thought you'd never ask. This chapter is known as The Order of The Silver Rose."

A/N: Sorry to those who said Nicholas would survive. In truth, I nearly broke down myself having to kill off a character. For a second I was contemplating on crippling Nicholas as the original plan really was to kill him off. At the last second, I chose to go with the original plan. Onto other news, that's Right. Summer's got her own chapter of Space Marines led by Adler. Though a few are worshipping her. How far will that get out of hand? We'll have to wait and see. As always read and review. Constructive criticism is allowed. That being said. Peace.
