Summary: Completely AU! Ruby and Sam are married. Ruby isn't a demon in this. Sam doesn't have psychic powers or visions and he and his brother aren't hunters. Ruby meets Dean for the first time at a much later time since Sam didn't invite his brother to the wedding. Anything else is giving it a way but there's cheating, and a fight between our two favorite brothers that ends very badly but will be resolved eventually. Very short and to the point. Enjoy and review!

Previously...

"Fuck you, you asshole," he shouted angrily as he kneed him in the balls to dislodge him and Sam rolled off to the side of him in pain. Dean scrambled to his feet and pointed down at him while wiping the blood off his lip, eyes just as watery as his brothers now. "That goes to show how much you know me. I would never ever do that to you! Goodbye Samm...Sam."

He walked past Ruby who now had a concerned face directed at him. She gently took his arm as he went past her, but he snatched it away. He got in his car and banged the steering wheel a few times in anger before backing out of their driveway.

"We better go after him." Ruby suggested going to put some clothes on.

"He hates these movies," Sam said holding the movies up not really listening as he laughed that had fallen in their tussle so that his wife could see them. He messed up having a movie night with his brother. "Tell me I just didn't mess up things with my brother."

Ruby made the quick decision to go with the real truths and rip the band aid off as she came down the steps putting her hair up in a bun as she went since she had no time to dry it. "No can do. You messed up very badly, but we can fix things. He was telling the truth. He didn't make a move on me. I kissed him."

"You Did What?!"

Chapter 3

The Resolution

"I kissed him," she said slowly as if talking to a child. "He. Did. Not. Kiss. Me."

"What the fuck Ruby?! Are you intentionally trying to destroy our relationship?"

"No, of course not," she said deciding to go with the whole truth and nothing but. She knew he wasn't just talking about their relationship but him and his brothers too, so she was careful with the next statement and tried not to let her jealousy show through her tone. "This idea just came to me, and I was thinking if you saw the kiss, you would eventually stop being so codependent on each other. It's like you can't go one day without spending time with him. When you're with him it's like you don't see me. I didn't think this would happen. I didn't think he would leave like that which is why we have to fix this."

"Aw, are you jealous of my brother?" he said in a teasing yet playful tone, and she nodded sincerely, pouting as if she's not used to his playful demeanor. At her nod, he laughed a little before coming close to her to dip his head down to kiss her which she returned and took her hand. "Just so you know I do see you. Let's go before he does something stupid."

"You're not going to fight me on this?"

He didn't give her a verbal response but instead dragged her out the door and locked up the house behind himself.

Once he arrived at his brother's house though he made his wife stay in the car, but she refused so there they stood on the front porch. She stood behind him as he knocked on the door. Dean answered on the fifth knock but immediately shut it once seeing who it was.

Sam, seeing what was about to happen, put his foot in the door before it could close all the way. "Dean! Dean, we need to talk."

Dean came back to the door looking down and Sam could read the sadness in his body language and the hurt in his tone. "Go away and take that bitch with you. You made your choice when you took your wife's word over mine. You don't want me around anymore. I get it. I...really do. Now leave and live your happily ever after...with her...just don't include me. That's what you want, isn't it? A wife with a white picket fence and two point five kids with no space for your brother in your life?"

"Yes, I do want that but-" he said to see if his brother would look at him. He immediately stopped speaking when he saw Deans head pop up and Sam could've sworn he saw a brief flash of hurt on his brothers tear stained face before it was quickly replaced with a hard glint in his eyes.

"Get the fuck out and take her with you, asshole!"

"You didn't let me finish. I want that life but not without you in it. Ruby wants to apologize-"

"She's not going to mean it, so I don't want to hear it," he said looking at Ruby and was surprised to see an apologetic look on her face. He points to her face hiding his surprise. "How do I know she's not pretending huh? She has you fooled but not me. Leave!"

"Listen here you moron," she said as she began holding up five fingers as she pushed Sam out the way and got up in his face. "You've known me for five years. Five and you know me. Do I look like I'm being fake. I'm sorry for the rift I've created between you and your brother, but I didn't mean it. I was jealous and if that makes me a bad person so be it. I-"

As she was talking, he began laughing, cutting her off as he pulled her into a hug, and she couldn't hide the smile she had on her face even if she tried. "That's my girl."

She returns the embrace and leans her head on his shoulder. "Does this mean I'm forgiven?"

He kisses the top of her hair before pulling back. "I guess it does. We have to get your jealousy under control. You know you can always join us. I mean for a game night or something."

"Do you know how weird that sounds?" she asked hoping to get back that status of a bickering sister and sister-in-law all in one back.

"Only if you make it that way."

"Can I hug you again? I swear there's not going to be any ulterior motive anymore when we touch." she asked, and he nodded, holding his arms out to the sides of himself, returning it once she got close.

When Sam saw all was good with his brother and wife, he ran to the car and got the DVDs Dean brought. Ruby was wiping away Deans tears with a tissue when he came back so that it was less intimate.

"I'm sorry for insinuating you are a manwhore when I should know you're better than that."

Dean pulls him into an overly rough hug to which he gradually returns just as tightly. "Damn straight, bitch."

Sam pulls away first and gives his brother a happy smile flashing the two DVDs. "Jerk. How about we all sit down to watch these that you hate?"

When they finally went inside, Ruby and Sam saw a packed suitcase near the last step of the house.

"How did you know-" he said as he turned around only to notice they were looking at the packed suitcase.

"You were going to leave?" Sam spoke first very loudly, the unspoken me clear in his tone.

"What was I supposed to think? I thought you hated me."

Sam walked over and hugged his brother again before letting go. "Let's get one thing straight: I could never hate you. You're all I really only ever had growing up and I appreciate that. Let's call a truce to never let a fight get so bad one of us feels like we have to leave."

Dean nods as he runs a hand through his hair and they handshake on it.
