Faith coming out of her coma should have been a smooth, not to mention, joyful time. People who at the very least, wanted to be her friends were there. Xander, Cordelia, Duncan, Cassandra, Grace, Ceirdwyn, Richie, Joyce and Giles. Not that all of them were actually in the room. Only Cassandra and Grace were. Faith came out of her coma, from a nightmare. Cassandra had to use Magic to hold her in place.

"Xander, get in here!" Cassandra yelled.

"Xander?" Faith stopped struggling. "Xander's here? What's he doing here? Waiting to kill the evil Slayer for Princess Buffy?"

"If I wanted you dead Faith, I'd have killed while you were in the coma." Xander answered, as he came in the room. The rest hovering in the doorway behind him. "And Princess Buffy doesn't know you're awake. And you're not evil, Faith."

"Yes, I am. I killed people. What the Hell do you know about it?"

"Willow used Magic on you. Cassandra, the extremely powerful witch who isn't even using a fraction of her power to hold you in place stripped her power from her. She's also the reason you're fully healed. She's a healer as well as a witch. She agreed to help when I told her of your situation."

"Willow did Magic on me? Why? What did I ever do her?"

"You took something she wanted. Me. It seems Willow got a little obsessed. She broke me and Cordy up and convinced Buffy I was a weak helpless kitten and needed the two of them to protect me. Said protection involved everything from kicking me out of the group to trying to kidnap me. Something my family didn't take kindly to."

"Your family? The old drunk?"

"Figures you would have been the one to understand that. I did tell you I thought we had a connection. I wasn't talking about sex. And no, I'm not talking about Tony Harris when I say family. Turns out I'm no more normal then you or Buffy. You ever heard of immortals, Faith?"

"Yeah, my Watcher told me about them. Humans who don't stay dead and can live for centuries. Not because they sold their soul, like the Boss did."

"Well, I'm one. That night Angel knocked me unconscious in the street, I died. I just didn't know it until I left town after Buffy and Willow kicked me out. When I say family, I mean these people here. They took me in, they're teaching me to survive and helped me and Cordy find each other again. What Willow did to you is going to take time to recover from, but we aren't giving up on you. You're. Not. Evil. That's something Willow whispered in your ear."

"I'm not evil? And Buffy stabbing me, was that because of Willow too?"

"No, the only thing Willow got Buffy to believe was that I needed to be protected. Buffy's choices are her own, aside from chaining you up. Willow did tell them to do that. The lecture was their idea."

"So you're immortal?"

"Among other things, yes. And we'll get to the rest of it later. Cassendra's going to take you to stay with her. She's got a suite at hotel. It's got two rooms. You can come visit me and Cordy. We can work on being friends. Real friends, Faith. I know trust isn't easy, you think it's easy for me? You tried to strangle me! But it wasn't your fault. You were scared, you were confused and Willow was making things worse. Killing that guy was an accident, Faith. I know you killed others after you started working for the Mayor, we'll help you deal with it. Aside from Cordy and me, everyone in this room knows what taking a life feels like. And I know what it's like to feel like you just aren't good enough. You can run, but you'll be running for the rest of your life. Or you can stay and learn that not everyone is out to get you."

Of course that's when things went sideways. Buffy and Willow showed up. They pushed their way into the room.

"Buffy, what the Hell are you doing here?!" Xander demanded to know.

"We heard mom and Giles talking. They said Cassandra was going to bring her out of the coma today."

"Unless you're here to apologize for trying to kill her and Willow's here to apologize to any of us that she used Magic on against our will, the two of you can just turn around and leave." Xander all but snarled.

"We just want to know what's going to happen with her now. She killed people, Xander."

"Because of Willow, not because it was what she actually wanted to do. And unless you can actually be helpful you need to leave."

"Will you involve the police?" Willow asked.

"Do you really want to go down that road, Willow? Because Buffy has more blood on her hands, not to mention her soul, then Faith does. And no. The Mayor made sure there was no evidence for the police to find. At this point, it's a matter of helping her deal with what you did to her."

"Buffy, I suggest you go." Joyce said. "I'm no more happy that you're here, then anyone else is."

"Are you going to apologize for trying to feed her to Angel, Buffy? Because that was an evil choice on your part." Cordelia pointed out. "And no one used Magic to make you do that."

Looking around at the glaring faces, Buffy and Willow decided leaving would probably be the best idea and quietly did so.

"They could have waited until I got home." Joyce said. "Or talked to me when they heard us talking. What were they hoping to accomplish coming here like this?"

"A good question. You really trust these people, Xander?" Faith asked.

"Yes."

"Then I'll try to trust them too."
