"Thanks again for inviting us, Alya," Kagami waved, tucking her arm through Felix's. "I'm just glad she gave me hot coffee for the walk home," he said, taking a sip. "You know we have coffee at home," Ladybug giggled, and Felix laughed. "Coming from the girl who loves coffee possibly more then her partner, that's saying something." Ladybug's mouth dropped open, and her friends laughed at her expression.
"I don't love coffee more then Kitty!" she told them hotly. "Well, most days," she blushed, shuffling her feet in the snow. "Oh, heaven forbid, he starts snoring during the night." Ladybug walked alongside Felix, rasing her voice above the wind. "Have you heard him? I'm sure it would register on the Decidable scale." "I have the perfect solution, Ladybug." "Oh," Ladybug stopped in the snow, and Kagami loosened her arm to whisper in her friend's ear. "Tell me."
"Are you two plotting against me?" A warm and teasing voice came right by Ladybug's ear. "Cat! Where did you disappear to?" "Hey, I'm not revealing all my secrets." "Get that pillow ready," Kagami whispered, and caught Ladybug's eye. The girls collapsed into giggles, and Cat walked over to Felix.
"And you think they were so nice. Do you want coal in your stockings or what?" "Coal is used for fire, and fire means snuggles," Ladybug shot back. "And we know how much you love snuggles!" Cat's tail twitched. "I do like snuggles. What about you, Argos?"
"I prefer a warm cup of cocoa and fruitcake," Felix sighed happily, catching up with Kagami. Cat's eyes widened. "Fruitcake! Yuk!" Ladybug groaned. "Love, be polite! Have you even tried fruitcake?" "No, and I don't want to." "Are you going to pout?" "Maybe."
"Then I guess I guess I'll have to do this! Eat snow!" Ladybug chucked a snowball, and soon a snowball fight had ensued.
They laughed and played until their stomachs ached, and they walked into the bakery, cheeks red as apples. "My, my, looks like you've had good time," Mama Cheng smiled. "Alya throws great parties," Ladybug said, giving her mother a hug. "And Nino's music mix was certainly something to boogey too," Felix chimed in.
"Would anyone like a snack?" "Snack?" Cat's ears twitched too attention. "Snack? How can you still be hungry?" Ladybug asked. "I have a hollow leg," Cat told her, solemnly. "Ah, then I'm sure you'll enjoy the delicious fruitcake that just came out of the oven!"
Everyone burst into laughter, and Felix explained the joke. "Come on, we can cuddle and you can just try a bite," Ladybug assured her partner.
Cat surprised himself when he enjoyed it, but when didn't he enjoy Mama Cheng's cooking? Very full and cozy, the four friends fell asleep in the glow of the Christmas tree lights, happy and full of friendship on this magical winter night.
