UNDERDOG
"ATONE FOR YOUR SINS"
DISCLAIMER
NOTE: I am aware that the entire series is not finished yet. With the potential number of changes in the canon, this story will be an AU (Alternate Universe) that combines both elements and characters from Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, while adopting some actual new elements from the canon. This story is also not too "Lore-Friendly" (aka not being too accurate to the world of the Canon.) So, be warned if some inaccurate information in this AU may make you cringe.
In regard to The Magne Family being renamed into The Morningstar Family, I will be sticking to "The Magne Family" as it's what I'm used to during the development and writing of this story. If it gets in the way too far for most of my readers, I can make an exception and fix it to "Morningstar". Just let me know.
Both shows along with their characters DOESN'T belong to me. The series respectively belongs to SpindleHorse and its creator, Vivienne Medrano (aka "VivziePop".) The plot in this Fan Fiction and some characters you'll know who are OCs (Original Characters) are original from me. If any ideas or characters sound similar to another story written by somebody else, it is purely coincidental. I refuse to blatantly steal somebody's idea and claim that it was mine. If you have any concerns, you are always welcome to message me.

Chapter 7: You Can Rely on Me!
Security details are important.
-(Hazbin Hotel; Pentagram City, Pride Ring)-
(Charlie's POV)
"Unbelievable…" I groaned to myself while sitting up on my bed.
Another nap that lasted much longer than I expected. This hotel may not be as active, but I still felt like I was slacking off on the job while Vaggie, Niffty, and Husk were at least maintaining the place. Then again, Vaggie was insistent as ever when it came to giving me a break. She really deserves some rest after I got mine finished. The only two guests we had were Morgan and Melodie, both of whom were WarDogs ordered to act as my security guards until martial law was officially over. Since Razzle and Dazzle were absent with accompanying my mom down in the Wrath Ring after what has been going on. Oh, how I miss those two troublemakers…
Since I was still dressed in my usual attire for the hotel and I slept in them, I had to get changed again. If we miraculously have more guests come over, I would want to make myself look as professional as possible. Getting undressed and changing everything I wore, I let out a long and loud yawn while looking at myself in the mirror, having the most embarrassing bedhead I've seen this month. After fixing it up with my hairbrush and setting up a hair tie or two, I walked over to the door to exit my room and was greeted by a familiar face I haven't seen in a while.
A familiar and uncomfortably grinning face…
"Good afternoon, my dear!" Alastor greeted warmly and loud enough to fully wake me up.
After being startled and letting out a yelp while I hopped away from the door, I huffed and gave him a stern glare. "Alastor! Have you been standing there this whole time?!"
"Not at all! I ha-"
His sentence was interrupted as soon as the sound of weapons being unlocked and loaded were heard on each side of the hallways. Two laser dots were on his head as he just stood there, still as a statue as if one sudden movement was a difference between life and death…again. Knowing Alastor as one of the most powerful Overlords, seeing him freeze like this was rather odd to see. Especially with how he is towards any threats. Peeking on both sides of the hall, it was whom I was expecting; Morgan and Melodie having their weapons aiming dead center.
"Stand down, Melodie. It's just him." Morgan sighed in relief before lowering his pistol.
Melodie chuckled and did the same with her shotgun. "Hey, Al. Invading people's personal spaces again?"
"Melodie! A good afternoon to you too, milady!" Alastor broke out of his frozen state upon hearing her. "How has your father been after all this time?"
"Same old, as always." She shrugged her shoulders with a smile as if she was easily comfortable around him more than anyone else here. "Hope we didn't scare you too much. You almost looked like you were going to shit your pants when you heard the guns loaded."
I stepped forward and was rather curious about that. "Yeah. I have never seen you that stiff before. Especially towards military personnel."
"Believe me, my dear. I know the difference between what's easier to handle, and a fully trained WarDog who can easily detain a greater demon like myself."
This was news to me as I didn't expect him to admit his boundaries towards WarDogs. "Oh…well…understandable…?"
Alastor then turned over to Morgan and kept his wide smile. "Colonel Adler! Fancy seeing you here! Congratulations on the promotion!" He greeted while shaking his hand, "How goes the rest of your team?" he asked while lifting three fingers upon mentioning the last two words.
Morgan glanced away for a second but looked back towards him. "I'm no longer leading Fireteam Taurus. They've been transferred to the Sloth Ring."
"Oh, what a shame." Alastor said with his eyes closed from disappointment, still having that smile. "It would've been such a touching reunion for the rest of us!"
Looking over at Morgan, I leaned against the wall and said "I know you had some encounters with Alastor. But you never told me about your team before."
"Fireteam Taurus of the Counterterrorism Pack; Hell's Royal Army Branch. It was a four-man team, counting myself." Morgan told me about the basic information on them. "I've actually worked with them ever since I joined up in the WarDogs after OSS (Officer Selection School)."
"I see."
"Anyway, sorry about that, Alastor. As you were with Charlie." Morgan bowed and put his pistol back in his holster.
"Of course! Don't you worry about a single little thing, Colonel. It'll be quick." He bowed his head while twirling his cane and microphone.
With Morgan and Melodie both standing down and heading past the both of us towards the stairway down, Alastor was looking outside one of the windows in the hallway after hearing a transport helicopter pass overhead. I was reminded about the unfortunate events that happened recently and have still not gotten over the ambush mentioned by Damiens and the media. All I can do is hope everything will return back to normal after the military and police fix the issue. And pray that there will be no loss of life from anybody. Hearing about the twenty-four soldiers that died in the ambush was just as painful for my heart. To suppress it, I turned my attention to Alastor directly.
"Soooo, Alastor…" I started while closing the door behind me, "you want to explain to me why you're here now AND outside my door like that?"
Alastor chuckled and rolled his eyes with the unsettling grin still shining on his face. "Well, my dear, I think I've relayed enough entertainment to my crowd well enough about what's going on."
"Martial law isn't really something you should consider…entertaining." I frowned and looked outside the window too, seeing some more military air assets on patrol. "Not only the Royal Military is on edge, but most of my people are scared."
"I understand. But that's what is entertainment in my eyes." He told me without shame.
"Al, I'll never understand the meaning of "entertainment" in your eyes…" I sighed and folded my arms uncomfortably.
"You don't have to. We all have our different perspectives. I'm just telling you what I enjoy like how you enjoy fictitious beings like unicorns." He playfully nudged.
"Fictitious? You don't know that." I pouted.
Alastor let out a laugh of amusement and sighed. "Anyway, I came back to your hotel to relay a message to you."
"Well, what's up?"
"You know all about the yearly meeting between Hell, Heaven, and Earth, correct?"
My eyes shot open a bit upon realizing him mentioning it. "Oh! Yeah! I'll admit, I did forget about that for a while…"
He chuckled and pointed his finger at my family home seen from the distance on the noble-class hillside. "I've just gotten word that the meeting will be held in your family's residence. Due to my status as an Overlord working closely with you, I will have to attend to the conversations between everyone on the table. May I ask who's attending?"
"Well, besides me and my parents along with the Seven Deadly Sins, military higher-ups, and Ars Goetia royals, it should all be the same. For Heaven, God himself and the Commander of the Exorcists will be attending with their own important members in their society. For Earth, the US Ambassador of Hell will be there too." I answered him with what I could remember from the previous meeting last year. Overall, not many changes.
"I see." He shrugged his shoulders and twirled his cane. "Just getting what I can to understand this meeting, since it is my first one to attend after becoming closely affiliated with your family."
"No worries. You actually won't be the only new face attending there. Princess Octavia will finally have a chance to come along with me, since she does need to start participating in these sorts of matters. Plus, Stolas knew I would be capable to help guide her through it if he was too busy."
"Well, that makes two of us! I am hoping you will give me some sort of helping hand during my attendance as well! Sound grand?"
I folded my arms and glanced away shortly before turning back to him. "I guess. But you seem to more qualified on handling things yourself more than Octavia."
"Haha! I know~!" He nodded as he gave a less toothy smile this time, briefly before a grin. "On another note, you seem to have another visitor here in this hotel!"
"Some demon finally wants to rehabilitate?!" I asked excitedly.
Alastor shook his head and laughed, which I swear I could have heard with some audience laugh track coming from his device. "No, No, No~! Far from that!"
"Let a girl hope…" I frowned while slumping forward. "Who is coming over though?"
"Look behind you." He told me while pointing down the hall.
Doing just that, I saw a man in his military dress uniform that was almost fully decorated with medals, ribbons, and badges. But the most iconic decoration he held was the WarDog patch on top of his medals, and his rank insignia on his epaulettes and collar, withholding the rank of OF-6, Brigadier General. Appearance wise, he had dark gray skin with a single horn on his forehead that was properly maintained due to how sharp and clean it was. Vivid green eyes and black hair styled into a top knot and a mild stubble beard. His stature towered over me as if he was the same height as Colonel Adler. For his name, I looked closely for his nametag, but Alastor greeted him before I could see it clearly.
"Ah! There you are, Brigadier General Durant!" Alastor said while walking over to shake his hand. "Took your sweet time downstairs?"
Durant chuckled and shook his hand back with the same amount of energy. "The housekeeper was being a bit nosey, but she soon understood why I was sent here and finally let me go."
"Oh Nifty…" I mumbled and stepped forward. "I'm sorry, Brigadier General."
"Your Highness." Durant bowed deeply to greet me properly as the Princess of Hell. "Has your afternoon well?"
"It has." I nodded. "Kind of overslept during my nap, which is kind of troubling."
"At least you get to take naps unlike me and my boys." Durant sighed before letting out a small chortle.
Alastor twirled his cane around and took a few steps away from us. "I'll leave it to your meeting. If you ever need me for whatever reason, be free to let me know. Have a good one!" He told us before walking down the opposite way until he was no longer in sight.
With just us two, I looked up at Durant and patiently waited for what he wanted to meet up with me for.
"You know what is coming up. Do you, Princess Charlie?" Brigadier General Durant asked.
I nodded. "Alastor reminded me about the interdimensional meeting that will take place in the Royal Palace."
"Has Colonel Adler already made preparations for security procedures and deployments during the event?"
Nodding once again, I gave a confident smile afterwards. "Colonel Adler takes these matters seriously ever since martial law was commenced. I'm confident that he can handle his job well pass excellence."
"You looking up to the young man is quite comforting." Durant smiled back. "I hate to pry into your personal matters, your highness. But Colonel Adler seems to call you by your first name instead of your title, which is rather odd for a senior field officer to speak towards you. May I ask why?"
"Is…that a problem?"
"Somewhat. All military personnel are usually required to address the Magne Family by their titles, with the exception of Generals that work closely with Lucifer and Lilith." He told me. "This might cause some unnecessary rumors with some others assuming you're VERY close to the Colonel."
"Ohhh…" I averted my eyes away briefly while biting my lip. "It's just something I prefer, to be honest."
"And yet you call him "Colonel Adler" while you let him call you "Charlie"?"
"I call him that because it's my way of showing respect towards my soldiers by addressing them with the rank they rightfully earned." I chuckled while rubbing my arm sheepishly. "I know it sounds kind of hypocritical, but having to address me by my title isn't always necessary. If it's important, like when we're at work, then we can work it out that way."
Durant curiously looked down at me and folded his arms. "How do you feel about Colonel Adler? Has he been treating you well?"
"He's a good man. Although he does pull some jokes here and there, but…to be honest, I find it more endearing more than an annoyance. Just don't tell him that." I answered while keeping a smile. "Workwise, he's a lot more professional than I thought. You guys picked the right person for the job as our security advisor."
"That's all well and good. But what I meant was…something on a much more personal level…" He averted his eyes away briefly and suddenly dropped the question, "Do you have an interest in him too?"
"What?!" My cheeks turned warm as I was clearly blushing at his sort of question. "N-No! We're both taken already! I never once saw him in that way, and I'm sure he doesn't towards me either."
Letting out a chuckle, Durant bowed after asking that question as an apology. "Forgive me. I was just looking into everything else to see if things were okay between you two. Well, that and I've grown a habit on making sure my WarDogs won't deal with "Collar Chasers." He huffed about the last sentence especially.
"Well, first off, I'm not a "collar chaser". And second, I can assure you there is nothing intimate going on between us."
"Understood, your highness." Durant acknowledged and gave a quick bow. "Again, I apologize for asking something like that all so suddenly. Ever since Colonel Adler was under my command before, he has been getting a lot of attention from women, and some men…, and I have the tendency to check up on him on that matter. That is until 2nd Lieutenant Lopez became official with him."
I let out a slightly embarrassed chuckle and bowed my head back. "It's alright. I can see why, since Colonel Adler is quite handsome…" I mumbled the last part.
"But I digress." He cleared his throat and looked over at his phone. "It's reassuring to hear that Colonel Adler is handling everything quite nicely. He even contacted DSS (US Diplomatic Security Service) to organize proper procedures in the palace."
"What about the others in the US Embassy in Pentagram City?" I asked.
"If you're talking about the US Marine Security Guards there, their main purpose of being stationed in the embassy is just to protect classified information. Not the Ambassador." He replied. "But he probably does contact them sometimes just in case an emergency happens. Plus, Colonel Adler always keeps an eye on his fellow Marines, even after he retired from the Corps."
"You knew he was in the Marines too?"
"I did." He nodded. "I wasn't one though. I used to roll with the US Air Force. It's just we always look at every service member's background when they sign up for the Royal Armed Forces or get passed selection for the WarDogs."
"I see."
Durant looked back out the window, seeing his eyes land on my family's palace in the distant hills. "Once everything is prepared, what are you planning on doing before the meeting takes place?"
My mind began to think deeply as I stayed silent for a few seconds before answering, "I'll probably stop by the palace to check on everything. Maybe even see both of my parents there. Oh! And since this will be the first meeting for Princess Octavia to take part in, I'll invite her along too!"
"Is Colonel Adler coming along with you too?"
"Most likely." I nodded. "Melodie might come along as well."
"Oh, right. First Sergeant Elise is here too…"
"Yeah. We only met a few days ago, but she's quite the character. In a good way." I chuckled while looking outside the window, coincidentally catching her on patrol at the driveway.
Durant smiled down at her and nodded back. "She's still a young hellhound who could've had a more relaxing life, and yet she chose to be a WarDog. Guess her father's influence made her choose that path."
"Was her father in the military?"
"Brigadier General Elise. Hell's Royal Marines; Commander of the 6th Marine Expeditionary Brigade. Retired, however."
"It warms my heart knowing she wanted to be in the military because of him."
Before Durant could speak, his phone started to ring which he was able to respond to fast and easily. He turned his back to me to begin speaking into the phone call while his body shifted around while the conversation was going. But I was unable to hear exactly what he was saying due to his voice being toned down while keeping his distance away from me. He briefly turned his head back to me before acknowledging something to his caller. At first, I was patiently waiting until his phone call was over. But he turned back towards me and set his phone on mute.
I tilted my head slightly and asked, "Everything okay?"
He nodded. "Yes. But it seems like we're going to have to continue on with this conversation later. I'm currently on the line with Major General Damiens about my new…position."
"Okay then." I nodded and turned around towards the stairs. "I'll leave you to it. When you're done, just head downstairs."
"I'll most likely talk to both you and Colonel Adler once I'm done. For now, just talk to him about the meeting and verify if everything is all set in his end."
"Will do."
I walked down the stairs all the way to the ground floor and saw the same things as usual around this hotel. Angel Dust was on the sofa using his phone, Vaggie and Husk were just relaxing at the bar while Vaggie was gulping down a non-alcoholic beverage and Husk having the opposite, and Alastor was seen just rehearsing in the corner as if he was introducing himself for the meeting. As for the other three, I continued to walk around the entrance hall and soon found them in the front door chatting outside near the driveway. It seems as though Niffty just got there as I saw her jump up on the handrails for the few steps at the front.
"Colonel Adler. First Sergeant Elise." Niffty greeted as she stood on the handrails, balancing effortlessly while holding a tray of two drinks. "I made you two some pink lemonade. Enjoy~!"
"Thanks, Niffty." Melodie smiled and nodded her head at her before walking up the stairs, likely going to her room again.
"We always appreciate your hospitality, shortcake." Morgan teased her by calling her that again.
Niffty didn't seem to mind at all as it only made her giggle. "Well…" She leaned her head forward and smiled sweetly.
Morgan stood silent and tilted her head at why she was doing that. "What's up?"
"You can show your appreciation by petting me."
"…I can get Melodie to do that for yo-"
"Is she here?" Niffty tilted her head with a sulky expression, feeling rejected from that response.
"I can call her over…"
"I want YOU to do it though!" She whined. "Pleeeeeeaaase~?"
At this point, Niffty pouted hard as if she was not having it her way. Admittingly, seeing her like that was so adorable and Morgan fell into her cutesy charms and placed his hand on her head, beginning to pet it softly.
"Okay, okay, shortcake. I'm sorry." Morgan chuckled while looking away sheepishly.
"Uhwe-ehehehe~!" She blissfully purred.
"Enjoying yourself, Colonel Adler?" I asked while approaching both of them with my eyebrow raised at him for petting my hotel maid.
"What? She did say please." Morgan chuckled.
"Jealous, your highness?" Niffty playfully teased.
I rolled my eyes and chortled while looking away. "No. Not at all."
She only giggled even more and nudged Morgan's side. "Come on~! It feels nice being petted once in a while~! Try it~!"
Morgan smiled nervously and looked away from both of us. "Actually, I'd rather not be court-martialed for being touchy towards the Princess of Hell. I'm already in hot water because of her and Vaggie from a few days ago…"
"Don't worry so much about that…" I blushed and shrugged my shoulders. "We moved on and concluded it wasn't that bad anyway…"
"Hmmm?" Niffty pouted and glared at Morgan. "Do I sense some actions of NTR…?"
"No! Of course not!" He replied immediately. "I would never partake into that sort of thing!"
"Good. You're a man with standards." She sighed in relief.
"First off, you watch and read too many Japanese smut. Second, I've had my fill of hearing my marines getting…"Jodied" while deployed back then in the USMC. I hated dealing with that shit and I don't intend on doing it to some poor guy or woman." He gritted his teeth uncomfortably upon mentioning the second part, which I personally knew nothing about when it comes to US Military slangs.
(A/N: For those who want the basic details, getting "Jodied" is when a man in the military has a girlfriend/wife that's cheating on him while he's deployed. Unfortunately, it's common. You know the old saying: "If the military wanted you to have a girl, they'd issue you one.")
Not wanting to get Morgan into a much more uncomfortable situation with Niffty, I opened my phone and stepped in to tell her, "Niffty, I think I saw a wine stain in carpet inside the bar. Can you take care of that?"
Upon hearing that, she gasped loudly and pulled out a brush and stain remover spray that was seemingly stored under her dress. "A stain?! NOPE! Not in my-...OUR hotel!" She dashed inside, leaving me and Morgan in the front.
He looked back at me and asked, "What if there isn't a stain?"
I showed him my phone as it displayed a sent message to Vaggie to spill a bottle of wine at the bar to distract Niffty, which she responded with a thumbs up emoji. "I got that covered."
"Clever girl." He snickered. "Well, I'll head back inside. Gotta give Marcela a call." He told me before making his way up the stairs and towards the entrance.
"Wait, Colonel?" I called him before he could go inside.
"Need something else, Charlie?" He asked.
"I'm really sorry if I'm bothering you, but…can I talk to you about something?"
Morgan looked a bit puzzled at first, but completely understood my need for attention on something. "Of course. What would you like to talk about?"
"Walk with me." I told him while heading down to the driveway.
"Did you bring a leash for me…" He mumbled a small joke about his canine side.
He may not be a hellhound, but that joke still did get a chuckle out of me. As I walked down the stairs with him behind me, I turned my head back and asked, "You prepared about what's going on in two days?"
"I am." He nodded. "I have already relayed orders to a few platoons to take part in securing the palace. Both having WarDog Squads and Fireteams on standby."
"Good. I can give you a hand with organizing the Royal Guards too to make your job easier." I offered.
"Actually," Morgan scratched his head, "I already set that up for your family earlier today."
I smiled up at him and put my hands on my hips. "Seriously. You are more than qualified for this job. Do you often overwork yourself?"
"Probably was born with it, now that I think about it."
"Guess your parents rubbed that off on you then." I shrugged and chuckled afterwards.
"Yeah. They sure did…" Morgan shifted his gaze away while the energy of his smile faded.
Noticing his expression turning down made me realize I stepped on a landmine as guilt began to settle in. "I-I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have brought up your parents like that…"
He shook his head and smiled lightly, clearly trying to hide his emotions. "Don't worry about it, your highness. I just miss 'em, you know?"
"I know how you feel. My parents are always so busy nowadays, I rarely have time to see them." I frowned while staring at the ground while walking. "Even with the hotel on my shoulders, there was nothing else to keep me occupied since it's mostly vacant. So, I would always check up on both of them to see if they were available. And…I'm sure you know how many times that worked out…"
"It seems like it's not easy being a Princess. On Earth, it's usually fantasized and overly exaggerated. But after talking to you and Octavia, changed my perspective a bit."
"Actually, that's how Octavia and I met and got along pretty quickly due to how relatable we felt towards each other. We officially became friends a year ago."
"Speaking of Octavia, how does she feel now that she has to partake in the yearly Interdimensional Meetings?" Morgan asked.
"She's been nervous and is not looking forward to it, since she's one of the most introverted friends I know. So, the thought of being a part of an important meeting while talking to a lot of people, both from Heaven, Earth, and Hell, is pretty mindboggling for Octavia." I said before looking back up to him. "You think you'll have to participate in the meeting table too?"
Morgan shrugged his shoulders but shook his head afterwards. "Probably not. If I must, it's not a big deal. I've had to speak in front of a lot of people during briefings throughout my time of service."
"That's good. Overall, you're confident that everything is all set?" I asked to make sure it was all finalized.
"All clean and proper." He bowed his head to me.
"Thank you, Colonel." I smiled and bowed back. "If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me."
"I do." He folded his arms and scanned his eyes across my face. "That dot on your nose. What…is that…?"
I only let out a sigh and glared at him before letting out a small chortle. "I meant in regards to the meeting, dummy."
Morgan snickered. "Jokes aside, do you have any tactical experience or any other form of self-defense? Besides what happened on 666 News?"
"Well, that was the only example I was about to give you…" I sheepishly looked away with a dry smile.
"Can you carry a gun?"
"N-No!" I shook my head.
"Seriously? Charlie, if something life threatening were to happen to you in that meeting, or anywhere else without proper training, it could end badly for you."
"Maybe…I can talk to and persuade my attackers and end things peacefully while making them realize their mistakes and redeem themselves, right…?"
With a response like that, Morgan just gave me a look of concern as if I just sounded crazy.
His expression only made me feel embarrassed as my cheeks grew hot from blushing. "Wh-What?"
"Life isn't always that easy, Charlie."
…
"Yes. Even in the afterlife." He added as if he knew my counterpoint.
"Damn it."
Morgan sighed and stopped me by placing his hand on my shoulder. "Listen, just understand that things aren't always going to go with the outcome you wanted. That's why you're going to have to need something to back you up in order to keep yourself from falling. Even if that means you have to work on another idea besides singing."
"Ugh…you sound just like Vaggie…" I pouted.
"Well, she has the right to be concerned like that." He chuckled. "If I was in her shoes, I would've honestly said the same thing to you."
"Sooo…what do you propose?"
"I'll give you some tactical experience and ways to defend yourself using a firearm. You seem to handle yourself pretty well in hand-to-hand, kind of…"
"Do I have to use a gun…?" I bit my lip nervously as I was secretly afraid to use actual weapons. "Maybe I'll be fine if-"
"It's much easier to say that when your life isn't in danger."
Finally, out of things to say, I sighed and crossed my arms uncomfortably. "Okay, okay. Maybe I should start taking that sort of thing more seriously than I have before. But just keep in mind that I'd rather avoid conflict than anything. Especially if I have to…shoot someone…"
"Don't worry. This is mainly about self-defense." He assured me. "Want to learn some right now?"
"Maybe another time." I quickly responded as I wasn't comfortable handling a firearm yet.
He saw right through me and nodded his head, completely understanding my feelings. "No rush. Just best to know a thing or two."
"Well, for that, I really appreciate what you're doing. Not only helping the Royal Military and Guardsmen. But giving some spare time towards helping me too." I smiled.
"Just doing my job. And I take pleasure to doing it."
"For now," I glanced over at the palace and sighed, "let's just focus on a busy week ahead of us. I hope things will play out nicely during and after the meeting, Colonel." I told him with my head bowing a little bit.
He bowed back more deeply before saying, "You can rely on me, Charlie."
Universe Trivia
Hell's WarDogs will typically work together with the United States Armed Forces, but with strict requirements to whom they will serve with. Specific units fall under a "Class" system that labels which have proper clearance to conduct joint operations between human and demon special operators.
Note: The "Class" system isn't completely similar to the US Military's "Tier" Unit System.
-Class-1 Units, all of which are JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command) Special Mission Units, have the most involvement with the WarDogs in both Earth, Hell, and Heaven (rarely).
US Army: 1st-SFOD-D [Delta], Ranger Reconnaissance Company, & ISA
US Navy: DEVGRU/Seal Team 6
US Air Force: 24th Special Tactics Squadron & the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (due to their cooperation with SOCOM, especially with JSOC Units)
-Class-2 Units are mostly comprised of Special Operation Forces, having very limited encounters under special circumstances exclusively on Earth.
US Marines: MARSOC [Marine Raiders] & Force Recon (non-SOF)
US Army: Rangers & Green Berets [Special Forces]
US Navy: SEALs excluding DEVGRU/Seal Team 6
US Air Force: Special Operations Command
US Coast Guard: Deployable Operations Group (before its decommissioning)
-Class-3 Units (regular or support elements) have none whatsoever and must remain this way due to the clandestine nature of the WarDogs and the Royal Armed Forces of Hell.
