That explains somethin
Dutch puffed out smoke from his third cigar. He really needed it after what he and everyone had just heard from Wendy. Everyone was standing around at the front of Dutch's tent. "Let me get this straight." He looked at the kid. "You were from another world that uses magic, and you are this dragon slayer from said world, right?"
Wendy coughed before she answered his question. "Yes, that's correct, Mr. Van Der Linde. I am a sky dragon slayer, to be exact. I didn't tell you immediately because I didn't know if I could trust you, and none would believe a word I said."
"Well, after what you did to Arthur in Valentine provided just enough to convince us, amiga," Javier commented.
"And which explains why you threw Arthur so effortlessly despite being so young." Bill gruffly added.
Still, they were having difficulty believing what she had said. "You got any proof to show you're this dragon slayer whatsit?" Arthur asked as he was now cleaned up, though he still felt pain in his back.
Wendy thought about that for a few seconds since she could not display her usual magic before an idea came to her. She looked upward and opened her mouth. The whole gang heard a strange sound before they saw her inhale a large funnel of air into her mouth.
John immediately noticed a change in the air. "Is it just me, or does it feel like the air is thinning out?"
"You're not the only one thinking that way, John," Charles spoke as he felt the air thinner.
A couple more seconds later, Wendy closed her mouth. She then looked at the gang again. "Like that."
Trelawny was astonished by the feat the young dragon slayer did. "Well, colour me impressed, miss. I have never seen that form of magic in my life."
Even Wendy's trick manages to impress Jack. "Oh, wow! She can really do that!"
Wendy smiled at them. "Thank you."
After witnessing what had transpired, Tilly can't help but ask her own question. "What do these dragon slayers do, and who taught you all that?"
Wendy had to explain more to them. "Dragon Slayers have a unique magical ability that can slay dragons, as the name says. As all of you saw before, I can eat a large volume of air. Not only that, but I can heal people too. Whether it's their injuries or illnesses." John thought about it and wondered why she couldn't display that feat earlier. It would have been helpful to treat the scars on his face. "And as the one who taught me… it was my mother, Grandeeney."
Mary-Beth chuckled as this was a lot to take in. "Your mother was something."
And Arthur decided to add something in. "Well, this Gradeeney sure taught you how to throw people, huh? Makes me wonder if she is a fine dragon slayer like you?"
Wendy blinked at him a few times. "I'm sorry, Arthur. But you must be thinking about something different. She was an actual dragon."
Everyone had to let that sink in for a few moments. Abigail was the first one to react. "YOUR MOTHER WAS A WHAT!?"
Arthur was next to speak while he massaged his temples. "I'm either drunk or not drunk enough."
And so was Mary-Beth. "Wait, if your mom was a dragon, are you part dragon too? You don't look like you have any scales."
The sky dragon slayer shook her head at that. "No, I'm human. Grandeney is my adoptive mother."
That made sense as to why she didn't have any draconic features. Still, Jack had a different thought in comparison to everyone else. "Still, I can't believe your ma was a dragon!"
"Now, I thought dragons were supposed to breathe fire and whatnot." Mary-Beth spoke, remembering the books she heard Jack read. "Not air or sky, or whatever."
"Oh, we have a fire dragon slayer. His name's Natsu." Wendy clarified to the other woman. "There's also an iron dragon slayer, lightning dragon slayer, a poison dragon slayer, shadow dragon slayer, white dragon slayer…"
"White dragon slayer?" Arthur muttered as he looked at the young girl. "What do they eat?"
"Light." Wendy answered the apparent response.
It seemed fitting for the outlaw to hear. "Okay then."
"We're getting off-topic here," Hosea reminded everyone, though he was equally surprised by this revelation and didn't want to get the headache even worse. "Miss Marvell. Aside from these magics and their elements, what else do these dragon slayers have?"
"Well…" the sky dragon sayer pondered before coming up with one. "Our senses are a bit stronger than animals."
That caught Abigail's attention. "Like you put that stew near your nose to see if it has been tampered with." Now, it made sense to her why she did that earlier.
This included Arthur. "I better be careful about what I quietly mutter." His thoughts shifted to her sickness back at that wagon ride earlier on. "And do them dragon slayers get sick while ridin' wagons and other transports?"
Unfortunately, she lowered her head at that. "Yes. Apparently, once a dragon slayer matures, they develop motion sickness."
"So, you must have developed it quite recently?" Tilly inquired, which made Wendy nod her head in confirmation.
Arthur and the others who saw this now made much more sense. The former now thought it would be time to ask another topic. "And what's that mark on your shoulder?"
The sky dragon slayer looked at her right shoulder and knew she had seen the marking earlier. "Oh, that? It represents the Guild I am in. It's called the Fairy Tail Guild."
Dutch narrowed his eyes at that while puffing out smoke from his cigar. "Fairy Tail?"
At this time, John had to interject to what she stated. "No means to be saying this rudely, but what kind of gang calls themselves Fairy Tail? That's a ridiculous name if you're askin' me." Everyone had the same thoughts as him.
They had their share of encountering other organized gangs in the past, so it may not be similar to the one from her world.
Wendy smiled at that topic even though she was coughing due to Dutch's cigar. "There's a lot in my world, Mister. The one I am in is a magic guild, and there are many. Fairy Tail is one of them. There's Lamina Scale, Blue Pegasus, Quatro Cerberus, Mermaid Heel, and Sabertooth. Not only that but there are also dark guilds. Those are the ones that don't abide by the Council's rules and will do anything for money or pleasure."
Hosea pondered what she had said. "Anything for money or pleasure? I guess that means killing people, too. Makes them not too similar to the O'Driscoll Boys." He had another question to ask her. "And these legal guilds. What do they do?"
Wendy's explanations of her world became too tiring, but she was happy to give them more detail. It's simple. They mostly take on jobs that are paid in return. Some of them require dealing with bandits monsters, locating lost items, protections, and—"
"Alright, alright." John interrupted Wendy's details of her world, much to everyone's dismay. "You can just stop there, Princess. I don't want to hear how long it takes and stuff. This is giving me too much of a damn headache."
"Seriously, John!?" Abigail was not impressed that he had to interrupt. "We were about to get important information until you had to interrupt!"
"I hate to say this, Abigail." She heard Arthur talking to her. "But John has got a point. What she spoke earlier is too much for us to process."
Charles did see a point in Arthur's words. However, that doesn't mean one more wouldn't be hurtful. "You said you were from another world, right?" He looked over to Wendy, who looked back at him. "How come someone like you arrived in our world?"
Now, that made the sky dragon slayer have a confused look on her face. "Well, it all started with me visiting my friend, Sherria, and my other friend, Carla, in Margaret Town. Since my friend, Sherria, lost her ability to use her magic, I've been visiting her to check up, and she has made progress in using magic, even though it is only little. Since this was during the last day of my visit, I stayed over Sherria for the night. We did a few talks, talking about our friends in our respected guilds, and we all fell asleep." That raised my eyebrow for some, as none of that directly answered their question. "Anyway, after I woke up, I found myself in a forest, and afterwards, I smelled the scent of food. I followed it, which is how I stumble upon this campsite."
"Hold on…" Mary-Beth held her hand up. "You were visiting your friend before coming to this world?"
"Yes." Wendy simply answered.
"And you were not involved in some job or somethin'?" She continued to ask.
The sky dragon slayer looked at her with an even more confused look. "Like I said, I only visited my friend before I ended up in this world. It sounds strange, I know. But, believe me, that is all that I can only remember."
Dutch puffed out smoke from his cigar, which made Wendy cough for the third time. "That was very informative, Miss Marvell. Thank you for sharing the information with us. You can now rest."
Wendy respectfully bowed at him. "You're very much welcome, Mr. Van Der Linde." She stood straight up. "But if I may request one thing, can you and the others please not smoke around me? It's bothering me just a little."
The Van Der Linde leader raised an eyebrow at that. "And why did you ask that, Miss Marvell?"
The young dragon was about to answer when Hosea decided to speak. "You've seen her inhale a large air funnel into her mouth? She may have inhaled tobacco, which isn't really healthy for someone like her."
-Scene Change-
Wendy was sleeping in her new clothes in the tent that had been set up for her. She needed the rest of the day off after giving the considerable info dump to those people. She didn't know what the rest of the group did, but it seemed necessary. Still, they weren't threatening. The young dragon slayer immediately opened her eyes as she smelled something. "Something's cooking."
She immediately got up from her bed and headed to where the food came from. "You sure we can trust her?" She gasped as she heard Arthur speaking. "Sure, she is strong and all, but from what she told us from her world, we hardly know anything about her."
"Don't be too hard on her, Arthur." That voice belonged to Charles. "She'll eventually open to us." She smiled at his consideration.
"Arthur does bring up a good point." Now, that was John speaking. "Someone like her can cause serious issues." And that caused her to be said once again.
"C'mon, John. Please try to be reasonable with the child." Abigail reminded him.
"A child that almost killed Arthur. She should have every right to not affiliate with us." Susan firmly objected.
The young dragon slayer felt terrible. She only did that because he wouldn't stop punching that man back at that brawl. "I don't know, but I agree with Charles here. Wendy's a unique girl, but she's only a child." Mary-Beth backed up of the younger girl's presence.
"Maybe. Perhaps she'll tell us by tomorrow." Tilly proposed the possibility.
"Perhaps. Still, Arthur and John do have a point. There's not a lot we know about that kid, and we can't exactly trust her right now. We only just learned the basics of her world." Dutch finished.
It was at that time Wendy decided to make her presence known. She surprised everyone by standing behind them. Arthur glanced at his side and saw her. "Look who's finally awake for dinner?" Everyone turned to where he was looking and saw that look on her face. "Crap, she heard our conversation. I warned them not to talk because we was in an open field while she was asleep."
Wendy looked at the group. "You all said you don't know much about me, correct?" She gave a confident smile. "Then, I will tell you everything you all need to know about me and what I have been through. I have nothing to hide." Seems like dinner time would be enjoyable for the group of outlaws as they were about to learn everything about her.

A/N: Thanks to animedevilluvzyuri for suggesting what Wendy can display magical powers without any use of Earthano. He's a better lore expert than I am in Fairy Tail. Anyway, give me constructive criticism so I can improve next time.
