(Chapter 5: Fate)

The police had already arrived as we brought the hostages out of the bank, with the ambiance showing up soon after.

The police then took a look at the crime scene, with one of them gagging in a trash can, likely due to a weak stomach.

Officer: Holy shit, how did any of this happen? This isn't like any mass shooting.

I looked around to see if there were any pieces of evidence, when I then saw a gun on the ground. I then grabbed the gun, as my eyes blacked out for a second before returning to normal. I then looked at Dot.

Yakko: Dot, come here.

Dot came close to me as I got up.

Dot: What's wrong?

Yakko: It was worse than what we thought.

Dot looked at the bodies before looking back at me.

Dot: Show me.

Dot held her hand out as I grabbed onto her. The entire scene started to reconstruct around us, revealing what happened. It was way worse that Me, Wakko, and Dot thought. There were three people entering the bank, Salazar, Dwayne, and another person, much shorter then the 2. Salazar held one of the bank patrons at gun point while the other 2 went into the vault and grabbed the cash. One of the guards tries to defuse the situation, only to end up getting shot in the head instead, with everyone in the bank screaming terror. Salazar ordered Dwayne to eliminate everyone else in the bank and lock the hostages in the bank's vault. The area went back to where it is now, as Dot then went onto her hands and knees, traumatized from what happened, before she then saw another body on the ground.

It was one of her co-workers for the corporate job she worked at. Dot cried a bit.

Yakko: Sis?

Dot: ... It was one of the co-workers I worked with... I never thought this would be his fate...

Dot then took the person's wallet out and took the ID out.

Dot: ... He had the job for a month... this was one of his days off.

Dot then looked at the officer before looking back at me.

Officer: What's the word?

I looked at the body of Dot's co-worker before looking back at the officer.

Yakko: Send our condolences to his family. Notify the morgue.

The officer brings the others into the bank as me, Wakko, and Dot left.

Hours later, I was resting on my bed, with Dot sitting next to me.

Yakko: I'm sorry about what happened... if we were there earlier, none of it would have happened.

Dot: It's not your fault, Yakko... We did what we could.

Dot's phone rang and she answered it. It was the wife of her co-worker. She was told about the funeral preparations. Dot then hung up.

Dot: It's his wife. She wants us to attend John's funeral tomorrow.

I looked at Dot a bit before looking away. The next day, we went to the graveyard, as many of the relatives and friends had already arrived to attend the funeral. Me, Wakko, and Dot sat down at our seats, with me having my katana on me as I adjusted my tie. Dot looked at me.

Dot: Yakko? Is it absolutely necessary for you to keep your katana on you at all times?

I looked back at Dot.

Yakko: What's the chance we might be attacked?

Dot: But why would you bring your sidearm with you in your suit?

Yakko: Again, what's the chance we might be attacked??

Dot looked back at the scene, as she was called over to do a speech. Dot got up and walked onto the stage.

Dot: Well... What can I say about him? Well.. he's a nice guy, a great co-worker, and a good friend. He helped out anyone that is in a time of need, even if it means... means...

I saw Dot struggle to say her words, almost to the point of breaking down.

Yakko: Dot?

Dot began to shed a tear as she looked at the audience.

Dot: I-I'm sorry, I can't...

Dot then started to cry as me and Wakko went up to the stage and comforted her. I then took up the microphone.

Yakko: We're terribly sorry at the moment, Dot's currently breaking down right now.

Me and Wakko took Dot off stage and went away from the area.

Yakko: Sis, what's wrong? It's okay about crying about a loss-

Dot: It's not that, Yakko... it's something else...

Yakko: You don't mean by... oh no... that??

Dot nodded as we heard a vehicle rev up from far away, as it started getting closer. We heard many people scream as the noise of the vehicle inches closer. I looked at the situation, as we saw an SUV speed towards the people, with many moving out of the way.

Yakko: Wakko, Dot, get everyone out of here, NOW!!

I then charged at the SUV as Wakko and Dot escorted everyone out of the area. I then jumped onto the SUV as it was still moving, I took my .44 out of my suit and started shooting at the driver. The driver ducked under, trying to dodge every shot I made, so I had to shoot the tire instead. I held on tight to the top of the SUV as it swerved left and right as the driver was about to drive into a wall. I then jumped off the SUV, watching as the driver crashed.

I got up from the ground, scuffed up a bit and was injured, as I saw the driver stumble out of the vehicle. He looked like he was working for someone of importance, so I charged at them and pinned them to the car.

Yakko: I knew someone was trying to kill us during a funeral.

I then threw the driver to the ground, he then got up and tried to attack, but I grabbed his arm and dislocated it. He then tried to attack again, but I dislocated his shin, causing him to kneel before I shot him in the knee.

Yakko: I'm only gonna tell you this once. Who are you working for.

Driver: Go to hell.

I shot him in the arm, hoping he would tell me who sent him.

Driver: AAAGH!! Salazar sent me to kill you, okay?! Salazar sent me!!

Yakko: Figured he would do that.

I then sliced the driver's head off his body with my katana, with his limp body falling to the ground. Wakko and Dot ran to me to check up on my condition.

Wakko: You okay, big bro?

Yakko: Yeah. I'm fine. Salazar's smarter than we thought.

Dot: Holy shit. What happened here?

I looked at Dot a bit.

Yakko: One of his men, now without a head.

Hours later, while we were at the house, Me and Dot were sitting at the table, as Wakko stood by.

Wakko: You were mentioning that you were crying because of something else, right?

Dot looked at Wakko, with an upset look on her face. She had been hiding something from him for a while, something that only I knew about.

Dot: ... I really don't want to talk about it... but I might as well do it. You know how one person has to get consent for an action to another person?

Wakko: Yeah?

Dot: Well... I was... a victim of a horrible event. I've only told Yakko about it. And I guess I have to tell you too.

Wakko: What is it??

Dot then lifted her shirt a bit, revealing a really gnawly wound on her body, slightly near her lower half.

Dot: ... It was the first month of work, and 2 colleges asked me to come with them.. I followed them to the copier room... and then... it happened. They pinned me to the wall and tore my clothes off, and one of them whipped me with his belt. They then proceeded to ravage me. I tried to push them off, but they kept using me for their sexual needs. It was until John showed up to the copier room. He encountered what had happened, and had to stop the two. He was one of the many co-workers who helped me out with any problem I had.

I couldn't bear to hear Dot's story of how she became a rape victim. I'd wished I was there to stop it from happening.

Dot broke down crying after she told Wakko her story. Wakko comforted her a bit.

A while later, I checked in my room to see if our parents left anything else behind when I felt a slight knock from the drawer. I moved the drawer out of the way to see a chest. It was slightly open and covered in dust. I cleared the dust off as I opened the chest. Inside of the chest was our parents' will. I then began to read the will. The will states that when they die, the next heir to the throne would go to one of us, with my name being next.

Yakko: ... I'm gonna be the next heir...

Dot walked up to my room, as she saw me looking at the family's will. Dot looked right at me.

Dot: Yakko?

I looked at Dot as I put the will down.

Yakko: Well... I suppose I'm king now.

Dot looked at me with a bit of confusion before grabbing the will. Dot was a bit surprised by the detail.

Dot: ... holy shit.
