David had settled into his role as the Student Life Counselor at U.A. High School. He had become a familiar face to the students of Class 1-A and 1-B. His interactions with them had been largely focused on providing emotional support, advice, and counseling. But today, he had something different in mind.
He stood before the combined classes of 1-A and 1-B, the eager faces of young heroes-in-training staring back at him. His heart pounded with a mix of excitement and trepidation as he prepared to share a topic that transcended quirks, something that had fascinated him since his arrival in their world.
"Today, we're going to talk about something a little different," David began, his voice carrying a note of intrigue. "We're going to explore a concept from my world, a place very different from yours." The students exchanged curious glances. They were always eager for something new, especially when it came from their unusual counselor.
As he spoke, David used holographic displays to project images of Protoss and the Zerg, thanks to a quirk that was able to pull the images from his mind capturing the attention of the students.
The students listened intently, some of them drawing parallels between the Protoss and the heroes they admired.
David went on, "I wanted to share this with you because it's a reminder that the world is vast and full of wonders beyond quirks. Just like the Protoss with their Akhundelar, you have the power to connect with each other through your shared dreams and goals as heroes."
He paused to let his words sink in before concluding, "Remember, heroes, while quirks may define your abilities, it's the connections you forge, the bonds you create, that truly make you heroes. The Akhundelar, the Khala is a symbol of unity, and it serves as a reminder that you are not alone on this journey. Together, you can achieve greatness."
The students exchanged thoughtful glances, some of them realizing the profound message behind David's words. It wasn't just about quirks and powers; it was about the strength of their friendships and the unity they found in their shared pursuit of heroism.
As the class ended, David watched the students disperse, his heart filled with a sense of fulfillment. He had shared a piece of his world with them, and in doing so, he hoped to inspire them to forge even stronger bonds and embrace the true spirit of heroism.
Little did he know that his lessons would leave a lasting impact on Class 1-A and 1-B, setting the stage for a future where the unity of heroes would prove more crucial than ever in the face of challenges yet to come. As the select students and teachers watch David, a being forms Infront of David staring out the window with pain in the Protoss' stance.
"I wish to be alone, Kaldalis." The hologram spoke.
"Your warriors question your whereabouts." A audible breath flows from the hologram.
"We are an ancient people, and there are few of us left. Tomorrow, I send so many to die."
"if you doubt our capability-" as David spoke the hologram turns its head back slightly cutting him off. everyone listening too the battle hardened warriors talk.
"I do not doubt them, old friend... I doubt my own motives, and if I doubt, so will they." The holograms braid glows with a soft blue light.
"What cause could be more noble than reclaiming our home?" David waves his hand towards a hologram of a planet fading into existence next to them. A soft click is heard throughout the school. The teachers knowing that Nezu turned on the PA system to broadcast the conversation.
"Aiur is our past; what is it to be our future?"
"Aiur is our heritage." The teachers hear the pain in David's voice the tone sounding as if he is trying to convince a martyr.
"The Aeon of strife is also our heritage, but they do not cling to it or want its return. We acted no better than animals and nearly drowned in our own blood." The short summery of the history sent pain through their hearts.
But from that conflict, the great cause opened our minds. It brought us the glory of the Khala. It on every emotion, our every thought became as one with the Khala we found unity; we rose from our failings. We made Aiur a beacon of progress in the galaxy, the envy of the stars." Everyone listens to the pride in David's voice. The warmth in their hearts grew... but was cut out no less than a second later.
"But in the glory of the Khala's light, so sure of our righteous destiny, we once again turned on our brothers."
"You speak of the Dark Templar..." The mention of them along with the tone of his voice, foreshadowed a grim tale.
"Yes... They chose to reject all that we are and sever themselves from the Khala..." The images of Protoss cutting their braids off. "We branded them heretics, tried to destroy them... We had forsaken our unity, and like the Aeon of strife, that division made us weak... We were punished by fate without weakness because of our certainty." With images of a invasion flash around them. "Aiur fell to the Zerg."
"I watched our home burn..." Anger grow in his voice like a disease. "Our honor lost" Venom drip from his voice.
"countless lives lost..." The statement felt like a cold spike in the chests of everyone who has been listening. "There will be more bloodshed in this invasion, more friends fallen because we cling to an ideal that may have passed." A cold chill falls onto all of them.
"I refuse to accept that. Do you not see the symmetry in this moment?" David walks forward talking with hubris. "Driving the Dark Templar away was a sin, but today, because you have united us, we fight together. The lives lost tomorrow will be the price of our future." In a flash of light the hologram appears Infront of David
"An easy sentiment from one who is not sending them to die!" The tone sharp enough to cut steel. But David stands strong leaning forward yelling back.
"from one who is being sent to die!" David lifts his hand showing a hologram Psyblade on his wrist. "I will be among the first to spill Zerg blood! I am a Akhundelar, the tip of the spear," The words shocks everyone.
"Akhundelar..." The fear in his voice evident. "Few will survive the first wave... Why?"
"Because I know of no higher honor! I volunteered for a chance to give my life for our home!" Pointing at the planet. "To make a world for all Protoss once more..." The last words quiet but heavy. "You made me believe in that..."
"A world... for all Protoss once more... It will be because of warriors like you." David turns towards the door walking away.
"Come back, Artanis... our lead us home." The pain in his voice attempting to relay a undertone of farewell and regret.
"Kaldalis..."
"my life for Aiur..." David walks out the door.
"my life... For Aiur"
The hologram turns off... sparking as if something is forcing the data to erase itself.
