Hollywood What If Chapter 269

The first weekend of John Wick Chapter 2 was successful, just as many expected.

The movie grossed $49.45 million as of August 19. With that, the two Continental movies were released in the theaters and currently doing well.

The Fast and The Furious earned more than $131 million at the box office and it would have its first international release next week. The cast of The Fast and The Furious would have a world tour to promote the movie... That would be the outcome of John Wick Chapter 2 next month as well.

Spider-Man did something incredible as well. The movie grossed $403.62 million after almost three months of screening. The movie already lost its energy in North America and the daily earnings went down to $1 million at best. The theaters that were screening the movie were down to 700 theaters as well.

Nothing bad, Spider-Man already proved itself at the North American box office. Only a few could rival this movie this year, only Harry Potter and The Lord Of The Rings could do so.

On top of that, the international box office garnered more than $121 million, bringing the box office to $524 million. But unlike North America, overseas just experienced the Spider-Man craze, and the tickets being sold would just keep getting more.

Spider-Man was PG-13 and families could watch it together. It was for all audiences. Furthermore, the reputation of the movie was great and fans kept praising it.

Because of this, sales of merchandise related to Spider-Man increased. Sony-Columbia and Marvel Comics were having the time of their lives.

Of course, Kazir was having fun as well. After all, he got 7% shares of the sales. The contract would last 10 years so Kazir had a constant source of income.

Another thing was the 27% worldwide box office share! Damn, that was huge.

Kazir already received his $27 million salary straight to his bank account... He got so much money but he didn't know where to use it. Perhaps he should start investing in companies as well. He should go for Apple, Google, and Amazon.

Anyway, now that Spider-Man grossed over $524 million, Kazir was obligated to receive $141.48 million... That seems about right. Sony-Columbia might have to pay him in 4 rounds since releasing that amount of money could affect the operation of the company.

Sony-Columbia could not do what New Line Cinema did to Peter Jackson since they needed Kazir to direct the 2nd movie. So they have to accept this outrageous outcome.

Although they admitted that Kazir was worth the contract because the movie was a massive success. They just didn't expect that they would lose a huge amount of money. Indeed, hiring big directors well quite tough.

Sony-Columbia wondered if someone from the Big Six could topple their record of giving 2727 contract.

If one of the Big Six hired Kazir, perhaps.

A lot of big movies were released in August since this was the last month of summer.

The Princess Diaries and Rush Hour 2 were both released in the first week.

American Pie 2 and The Others in the second week.

John Wick Chapter 2 on the third week.

Each of these movies surpassed $100 million at the box office. Regarding the circumstances, surpassing the $100 million mark was already an achievement. More than 40 movies were released this month but only 5 movies achieved $100 million, it was something to be proud of.

Just like that, the summer season ended and September arrived.

After so many years of being busy, Kazir decided to invite his family to his new house to celebrate his birthday.

Kazir's birthday was on September 9. Kazir was 33 years old now. He should probably take things seriously since he was really getting old now.

His birthday was extravagant, he splurged his money on this special occasion. He rarely used his money and this was basically a miracle at this point.

"Happy birthday baby!"

Angelina kissed his cheek after Kazir blew out his birthday cake that had 33 candles.

Many of his friends attend his birthday to celebrate this occasion. His new house was huge enough to host a party that could hold more around 100 people.

"This is my gift."

Angelina was the first to give a present... It was a card.

"... A wish card? What's this?"

"It means you can do anything you want with my body tonight." She whispered.

"Oh honey, I've been doing what I want with your body. I explored it so many times."

Kazir whispered back.

"You silly guy~~" She playfully slapped his shoulder. Angelina smiled and flirted with her boyfriend. She didn't give a fuck if Kirsten Dunst was giving her a glare at the corner of the house.

'Yeah, bitch. What are you gonna do about it?' Angelina flaunted in front of the young woman. She really loved to see another woman getting jealous whenever she flirted with Kazir. Reese moved on but it seemed that Angelina had another woman to tease...

Of course, the cast of Spider-Man was invited to his party. Kazir built a huge connection after working in the industry for more than a decade. So his birthday had a lot of prominent people.

[So yeah, I watched the United 93. I'm on the edge of my seat watching it even though I already know the tragedy that will happen. However, I gotta say that I'm gonna pass on this one. First, I can't find a protagonist, this is a documentary about 9-11. Second, 9-11 is a sensitive topic that I can't just dabble my hands on even if this novel is a Hollywood fanfiction. Instead, I'm gonna go with The Revenant. The box office of The Revenant will be donated to the families who suffered from the tragedy of 9-11 so that it has a chance to compete at the Academy Awards, just like what one of my patrons suggested.]

[I hope you understand. I'm a Filipino so I don't have much knowledge about this tragedy. Heck, I was only 1 year old when this tragedy happened. I didn't even know that a plane crashed into the Pentagon as well. I just realized how serious this stuff was today.]
