Chapter 25: Suited for Success

Spyro followed Miss Cheerilee to her cottage, a small home with a flower garden out front that she tends to filled with Daisies and other flower species growing from the flower beds. She opened the door and the two of them went inside, the room was spacious enough with a couple of chairs and a couch, a bookcase nearby with lots of different books, fiction and nonfiction near a fireplace and a coffee table and a set of stairs with one set going up and another set going down. She walked into another room taking her groceries with her, guessing that was the kitchen, and he looked around the room, finding a lot of pictures of herself when she was younger and of some of her students with her, looking very happy.

"I love my students to death." Cheerille said, walking in with a tray of cookies and a tea set. "And you standing up for Apple Bloom and her new friends against Diamond Tiara, that was very brave of you."

"Well, if there is one thing I hate, it's bullies." Spyro responded, sitting into the chair opposite of where Cheerilee was sitting. "So, about Scootaloo..."

"Yes, you wanted to talk about her." Cheerilee said, pouring some tea for them. "It's not exactly easy for me to say."

"What do you mean?" Spyro asked, sipping the tea.

"She came here a while ago." Cheerilee said. "Her parents dropped her off at the local orphanage and from what I heard, they said they would come back for her once their adventures were over."

"They're adventurers?" Spyro asked.

"From what I heard, yes." Cheerilee replied. "And they said they would return after a few months. That was almost a year ago." Spyro felt his heart break, hearing that her own parents dropped her off at the orphanage, possibly abandoned, and couldn't help but feel his whole being be drained of color. "Some speculate that her parents were hurt and couldn't come back, some believe they just simply abandoned her, and others believe... they're dead."

"But, what do you think?" Spyro asked. "What are your thoughts on his?"

Cheerilee got up and walked to one of the windows, looking out to see all the happy fillies and colts laughing and playing, enjoying their weekend with their parents, their siblings, and their friends, giggling and laughing all the time.

"I don't know." She responded. "I don't like to gossip and I don't want to think ill about anypony. But if I were to take a guess, I think she was simply abandoned because of her wings." That single sentence alone made his ears shot up, hearing something about her wings, which made him pray it wasn't what he thought it was. "Her wings are under developed. Usually Pegasi foals are able to fly at her age, but her wings are still the size of a newborn fillies, making flight for her impossible. Such a defect is a horrible thing for a pegasus, and at her age, I don't know if her wings will ever be fully developed. And, even though she does get support from other family members, I think she feels rejected, unloved, unwanted."

She then walked back to her chair, sitting down in it and about to sip her tea again, but tears started to roll down her face, unable to control her emotions as she broke down, letting the tears flow down her face as she cried. Even Spyro couldn't help but break down, though he didn't know what it was liked to be unloved as his family always loved and supported him when he was young and had his own disability, despite not telling anyone, he felt like his heart was ripped out of his chest, feeling his heart shattered as he listened to her story. Without a word, he got up and walked up to the same window, looking out it and making a decision that he knew was a long shot, but wanted to do what his heart told him was the right thing to do.

"Miss Cheerilee, I have a couple more questions." He said, getting her attention. "Who are her other family members that support her, and what do I need to adopt Scootaloo as my little sister?"

A couple of weeks went by after his conversation with Apple Blooms teacher and he was hopeful that Scootaloo's other family was willing to allow him to adopt her, to give her the love and care she needs. Miss Cheerilee told him where the orphanage was and they were freaked out that he came to them, but when they heard what he wanted to do after hearing Scootaloo's story, the employee's were ecstatic to hear his willingness to adopt her and gave him everything he needed, finding he was working and living with the Apple Family and were pleased about it, finding he had already two of the requirements needed and told him he needed permission from her remaining relatives, which they gave him their address to write to them.

When he got back as soon as he left the orphanage, he got busy writing a letter to Scootaloo's aunts, telling them how he heard about her story and how he wanted to adopt her, take care of her, and do whatever it took to give her a happy life, despite her affliction. After he sent it, he waited for a response and was starting to grow anxious about if they would respond or not and if they would be willing to agree to the adoption or not, starting to show his anxiety with e Apples as they knew all about what he wished to do.

"Ya'll need to relax sugarcube." Applejack said, walking up next to him in the fields. "Ya'll are more nervous than a cat when their owner says bath time."

"I'm sorry AJ, I'm... I'm just..." Spyro said, feeling his anxiety reaching a breaking point.

Applejack could see how nervous he was and smiled, walking over and wrapped her neck over his, calming him down as he did the same, the two of them standing there for a moment until they separated.

"Better?" Applejack asked.

"Yeah, better." Spyro replied.

"Good." She said, sitting down on the ground, motioning for him to do the same. "Spyro, Ah may not know much about Scootaloo or her family, but if her parent's just left her at the orphanage, promising to come back and not doing so, and if her aunts are willing to accept, then ya'll are doing the right thing helping. Ya just need to be patient, that's all."

He smiled at her, knowing she was right and the two embraced, hugging each other and happy that she was there to support him. A second later, he heard the flapping of wings and looked up, seeing a grey pegasus with a golden blonde mane fly to the fence line of the farm and put something in it, closing the mail box and lifting the small metallic flag up to let them know there was mail in it. Without wasting a moment, the pair ran to the mail box and opened it, taking out the mail and bringing it to the farm house and sorting through it, finding a couple of things for Applejack from family and something for Apple Bloom form a cousin, but he then saw a letter for him, taking it and tearing one side to read what was on it.

Dear Mr. VanVickle,

We were surprised at first that a prince sent us a letter, let alone one that Princess Celestia had crowned herself, but when we ready about how you heard of Scootaloo's story and how you wished to adopt her, it moved our hearts as we could see how much of your heart went into writing the letter and how you wished to make her happy. However, we would like to get to know you better first and see the kind of pony you actually are in person rather than on paper. So, my wife and I decided to come and meet you in Ponyville to get to know you and to know the kind of environment out niece would be in and if it was suitable for her. We hope that you are just as we have made you out to be based on your letter and will see you in the afternoon one week from today and hope you have a marvelous day.

Sincerely,

Holiday and Lofty

"Well, what does it say sugarcube?" Applejack asked, everyone on the edge of their seats like he was a while ago.

"They love the idea." Spyro said, the Apple's cheering at the news. "But, there's one thing. They wish to meet with me in person and see the kind of place their niece would be living at."

"Well that is something we can help ya with youngin'." Granny Smith said. "When we are done here, they'll be happy their niece will be stayin' with ya."

"Yeah, I'd like to have one of my friends livin' with us." Apple Bloom said. "Maybe we can stay in the same room together."

"One step at a time Apple Bloom." Spyro said, folding the letter up. "We first need to make a good impression on her aunts first, then we can make arrangements for some bunk beds." He then got up and looked in the mirror, seeing himself in his regular jacket and decided to get a new wardrobe. "And I think looking my best might be a huge plus to make it a good impression."

"Ya got a point there dragon boy." Granny Smith said. "Ya'll need some more jackets than what you are wearing now."

Nodding his head, he knew where he needed to go and went out the door, walking to Carousel Boutique to see if Rarity could work on something for him to make a good impression. He walked in and the bell rung, however, Rarity didn't respond to the bell, which worried him as he feared something may have happened to her and before he could go in, he heard someone walk in behind him and saw Twilight and Applejack coming in behind him.

"Spyro, what are you doing here?" Twilight asked.

"Oh, I just came to get a new wardrobe for myself." Spyro replied, looking back at his jacket. "Wanna make a good first impression."

"Oh, found another mare for the herd?" Twilight asked, a sly look on her face.

"Uh, not really." Spyro replied. "Once I see Rarity, then you will get to know."

Twilight looked over to Applejack to see if she knew anything, but Applejack just kept her silence, not telling Twilight what she knew. The trio walked up the stairs and found her room, knocked on the door and went in to see that she was working on a dress, putting her complete focus on it as she had multiple different items from needles to fabrics she was using to make the dress.

"Hey Rarity." Spyro said, Rarity not paying attention. "Wow, she must be putting her full concentration into that dress."

"Yeah, seems like it." Applejack said. "I mean, it is a dress makers place after all, so-"

"Is there something I can help you three with?" Rarity said, seemingly calm, but being mildly frustrated.

"Oh, sorry to bother you Rarity." Twilight said. "I just needed a favor from you." She reached into her saddle bag and pulled out a red and yellow dress with a damaged button on it, putting it on the table. "I was wondering if you could fix this button for me. It's for the Gala."

"Oh no, no,no!" Rarity said. "You can't go to the gala wearing this... old thing. You need a new, glamorous dress for the gala. And I will make it for you no problem."

"Oh, that's very kind of you to offer rarity." Twilight said. "But, that would be so much work for you. And you have your own dress you are working on, so I don't want you to worry about it."

"Oh, Twilight Sparkle, I insist on making the dress for you." Rarity replied. "And I will not take no for an answer!"

"Oh, well, in that case, thank you for doing this for me." Twilight replied. "Knowing your handy work, I'm sure it will be gorgeous."

She then looked at both Applejack and Spyro, looking over the both of them and then in the eye.

"Let me guess, you two don't want any new attire either?" Rarity asked.

"Attire?" Applejack asked. "Shoot Rarity, I was going to wear my old work duds."

"And I do need a new wardrobe, but I was just going to wear my royal attire for the gala." Spyro replied, seeing the shocked look form Rarity.

"Applejack darling, you simply must wear a gown for the gala." Rarity replied. "And you Spyro, I must admit, the royal attire I made for you is spectacular, but you must look your best for the gala as well."

"I'm good." Spyro replied. "Besides, I just need something to make a good first impression."

Rarity looked blankly at Spyro, wondering what he was talking about and looked to their friends, looking between Applejack and Twilight for an answer, but Twilight just shrugged her shoulders while Applejack just smiled, meaning she knew something and wasn't saying anything.

"Ok, and may I ask why you want to make a good first impression?" Rarity asked, thinking the same thing Twilight did. "Are you welcoming a new member to the herd?"

"Oh no, not that Rarity." Spyro replied. "You know that pegasus filly Sweetie Belle is friends with, Scootaloo?"

"Oh yes, I know her." She replied, confusing Twilight. "Poor dear, her own parents doing that to her."

"Do what?" Twilight asked, confused. "What's going on here?"

"You remember Scootaloo from Diamond Tiara's party a couple of weeks ago?" Spyro asked, Twilight nodding her head. "Well, her parents dropped her off at the local orphanage here in Ponyville, promising to pick her up a few months later, but that was nearly a year ago."

"Oh, poor thing." Twilight said. "I should let the princess know about this."

"Don't worry about that Twilight." Spyro responded. "But the main thing is, I need some new attire to impress her aunts."

"Her aunts?" Rarity asked. "What are you getting at?"

"Well, you see, I'm wanting to adopt Scootaloo as my little sister." Spyro responded, shocking the unicorn mares as their jaws dropped open. "And I need her aunts permission to do so as they are the only ponies who are present in her life and they are coming next week to see the kind of home she'd be living in."

The room was silent, no one saying a word until Twilight ran up and hugged him, a big smile on her face from what she heard, followed by Rarity who joined in on the hug, tears rolling down her cheeks as she hugged him.

"Oh Spyro." Rarity said, her voice cracking in happiness. "Your heart must be made of gold to do this for her."

"Actually, it's made of light." Spyro said, the girls letting him go. "Guess I can-"

"Leave it to me darling!" Rarity replied, wiping the tears from her eyes. "I'll make you something to make a good impression on the aunts and for the gala." She then turned to face Applejack, her smile still on her face. "And as for you Applejack, why don't you;t I improve on your work attire, make them more suitable for the gala."

"Well, sure why not." Applejack replied. "Ah mean, ya'll are offering and all. Just, don't make them too, froufrou, ok?"

"Deal." She replied when a thought came to her mind. "IDEA! Why don't I make some gowns for the rest of our friends for the gala! Oh, and we can host our own fashion show!"

"What a wonderful idea Rarity." Twilight said. "If you can handle it."

"Oh, it'll be a bit of work, but it will be a major boost for my business." Rarity said, excited for what she has in mind. "Plus, fun!"

"Well, I guess it would be something new to try out." Spyro said.

"Then it is settled." Rarity said. "We shall host a fashion show here in Ponyville. Starring... us!"

Everyone cheered for the idea just as Rarity was setting down some fabric, marking what she needed to cut and then started cutting them. He knew Rarity could handle everything as she had the talent needed to make it so and smiled, excited for what she was going to come up with. About a few days went by after meeting up with Rarity about getting some new attire to make a good impression with Scootaloo's aunts when Rarity sent him a message, saying that the new outfits were finally ready, so he and Applejack bolted for Rarity's boutique, where the rest of her friends were waiting for them, all excited for what she made.

A minute later, Rarity came down stairs and told everyone to close their eyes as she wanted the unveiling to be a surprise. Everyone did as they were asked and walked inside, keeping their eyes closed as she lead them too her bedroom, which also doubles as her work station and when she told everyone to open their eyes, they were stunned to see the new gowns and suits she had made. The first dress they saw was for Applejack as it was western themed gown with green colored leather with a saddle on the back, complete with green leather boots and a hat and a special collar, all of which had apple shaped rubies on them. Twilight's dress was a dark indigo colored dress with a cyan colored saddle on the back and stars at the end of the dress, on the saddle, and one she could wear behind her ear.

Rainbow Dash's dress had all the colors of the rainbow on it with the end of the dress with a puffy kind of material that make it look like clouds with what appeared to be grape shaped and colored necklace with some golden laurel wreath with golden slippers. Fluttershy's dress was a spring themed dress with flowers at the end and a special butterfly collar with what appeared to be some kind of bush like stuff and a big butterfly she could wear behind her ear with green slippers with ivy going up them. Pinkie's dress looked like something that could give you cavities with it looking like something from a sweet store, all pink with a small hat that went with it.

But when Rarity directed Spyro over to the right of the dresses, he was dumb struck as the clothes she made for him were perfect. On the left side was a black coat like what he had already, but the pattern on it wasn't;t like what his royal attire was, but instead it was like flames were going up the sleeves and up the back and a new silver necklace in the shape of a dragon head to go with it while the other one was a bit more like his royal attire, but more gold and black than black and white, with the color black being the main one, but the gold color standing out from the rest of it with a head piece made out of black metal in the shape of a V, but wider than the letter and it looked like it could be stuck on and wouldn't come off no matter how hard you shook your head.

"It took me a long time to get everything right for all of you." Rarity said. "Especially Spyro as his attire doubles as protective armor for when he has to fight. Well, what do you think?"

Everyone was stunned when they saw their new clothes, but while the girls thought about it for a moment, Spyro walked up to his new clothes, amazed by how they looked that he picked the one o the left up first and removed his current jacket, trying on the new one to see how it looked, smiling as it looked great on him.

"Rarity, you out did yourself on these." Spyro said, smiling at the fashion mare. "These are the best pieces of clothing I have ever seen."

"You really think so?" Rarity asked. "Because, for a second, I thought I'd need to redo yours Spyro."

"Rarity, you did great." Spyro replied. "No redoes needed here."

"Why, thank you darling." Rarity said.

She then turned to their other friends, hoping they would love their new attire like he did, but the girls seemed hesitant on them, making the both of them worry as they seemed to not really care for what she made.

"Wow Rarity." Twilight said. "They're... something."

"You don't like them?" Rarity asked.

"Oh, no Rarity. We think they're nice." Twilight replied.

"And we do appreciate the hard work ya put into them." Applejack added.

"I just thought mine would be cooler." Rainbow Dash said, everyone giving her the evil eye for her comment.

"What we're trying to say is... we like them, but... they weren't what we had imagined." Twilight said, trying not to sound ungrateful.

Spyro could sense the disappointment in Rarity from what her friends just said, sensing how crushed her spirits were after having worked so hard on them. He wanted to lecture them about it, but Rarity beat him to saying something as she perked up in an instant.

"That's alright darlings." Rarity said. "I have plenty more where they came from. They were just a first pass, so I want to make sure you absolutely like them. I'll just redo them."

"Oh Rarity, you don't have to do that." Fluttershy said. "They're fine the way they are."

"Oh, don't be ridiculous girls." Rarity replied, removing the hat and star from Applejacks and Twilights dresses. "I want them to be better than fine. I want them to be perfect for you."

"Are ya sure Rarity?" Applejack asked. "We really don't wanna impose and make things difficult for you."

"Oh, don't you worry Applejack. It's no bother at all." Rarity replied. "I'll have them done before the show this Friday. Don't you worry."

"Well, in that case, thanks again Rarity." Twilight said, she and the rest of the girls walking out the door.

As soon as they were out, Rarity looked down at the floor, disappointed in her inability to please her friends and not making their dresses perfect. Spyro could sense her sadness and walked over, wrapping his wing around her as she leaned into him.

"They are amazing Rarity." Spyro said. "The girls just don't realize it yet."

"But what if I did make them inadequate and need to redo them?" She asked. "I want to please them and make their dresses perfect."

"They are perfect." Spyro replied. "They'll see."

Without another word, Rarity got out from underneath his wing and went back to work, working on some new dress designs for her friends to make them perfect for them, at least perfect in their mindset. Spyro however looked to the dresses on the ground and smiled, knowing how hard she worked on them and not wanting them to be thrown out, he used his aura and picked them up himself, carefully folding them up one by one and putting them into am empty box, knowing that these dresses were the ones the girls needed. As he left, Rarity looked at him, knowing he was packing the dresses up, but said nothing, believing he'd hang onto them for his dates with the others as she turned back to her work station and went back to work.

The next two days, Spyro was getting everything ready for when Scootaloo's aunts arrived, hoping to make a good first impression when they met while also checking in on Rarity to make sure she was ok, but every time he did, he'd see that she was frantically working to make the dresses perfect for her friends, each one getting worse and worse as she worked. On Friday, the girls all came to see the new dresses, but when Spyro saw them, they were a complete disaster. Twilights dress was just a purple blanket with the different constellations with a couple of bows, one on her tail and one at the neck with a bunch of stars on sticks. Applejacks was just regular work clothing with overalls and rubber boots and something that Granny Smith would wear.

Pinkie's looked like something from the some time before or after the eighty's with a massive cupcake on her head, ribbons on her hooves, and a bunch of balloons tied to her tail. Fluttershy however looked better than everyone else's, but to him, she just looked like a massive flower with a birds nest on her head with fake eggs in the nest. Rainbow Dash's however looked like Olympian armor mixed with some speed demons outfit with the colors of the rainbow on it. Spyro was in complete shock and disgust at how they looked, but everyone else seemed to like them, complimenting their friend for her hard work, if you could call it hard work.

"It's exactly what I wanted!" The girls said in unison, Spyro just grimacing in disgust at how they looked.

"Thank you Rarity, for all your hard work." Twilight said.

"We're so happy with them!" Pinkie said. "Are you just as happy? Huh? Huh? Huh?!"

Rarity looked to be very uncomfortable at the question, but put on a brave face and looked at all her friends.

"Well, I'm happy that you're all happy." She said, her mane a complete mess. "And I'm pleased to be done with them in time for the show tonight."

As she said it, Spike came in, out of breath and looking surprised and panicked at the same time.

"You're never gonna believe who's here!" Spike said, shocked and excited. "You guys heard of Hoity-Toity?"

"Not really no." Spyro answered. "How about you girls?"

"Of course I have." Twilight said. "He's a big wig fashion hot shot all the way from Canterlot. What's he doing here?"

"He heard about the fashion show being held here." Spike answered. "He traveled all the way from Canterlot to see it."

"And see the disasters of what is called dresses." Spyro whispered to himself.

"Well hot dang Rarity." Applejack said. "If he likes your dresses, you could be selling dresses by the bushel."

Spyro could sense her anxiety when Applejack said that, but knew that the dresses they have right now would only make her look like a laughing stock and be shunned by the fashion community. Without telling them anything, he took off back to the farm where he had the first dresses stored in his room incase of something like this. When he got there, he ran straight into his room and searched frantically for the box of dresses, horrified that he couldn't find them when he saw them near the doorway to his room, neatly packed and safe. He moved swiftly to grab the box when he noticed it was getting late, knowing the show was about to start and he dashed off, using his wings to keep the box on his back as he ran to make sure he didn't loose them on his way to the fashion show. But as soon as he got there, everyone was already leaving, clearly dissatisfied with the dresses on his friends and breaking Rarity's spirits.

He looked through the crowd to look for this Hoity-Toity Spike was talking about, but didn't;t know what he looked like, but a second later, he noticed a grey earth pony wearing what looked like a fancy vest with a tie and his mane a silvery white, fashioned with a curl and wearing what appeared to be sunglasses shaded purple. Knowing he might be the one, he ran up to him, completely out of breath, surprising the fashion pony.

"W-wait sir." Spyro said, getting his breath. "T-there was... a mix up."

"You can say that again." Hoity-Toity said. "A mix up with the information about this Rarity. I'll make sure she is dishonored and never makes clothing again!"

"No sir, I mean a mix up with the dresses." Spyro said, getting his attention. "You see, Rarity had made the actual dresses a while ago, but her friends had her redo them every time as they weren't satisfied with them."

"Then it means she's a poor designer." Hoity-Toity said. "And who are you anyway to be keeping me from leaving this town."

"I guess introductions are in order." Spyro said, but Hoity-Toity spotted some mares walking up to them thinking they wanted to meet him, but when they saw Spyro, they bowed. Hoity-Toity was confused for a second until he took a second look, his eyes wide with shock. "My name is Spyro. Spyro VanVickle. And I am-"

"Your majesty!" Hoity-Toity said, bowing to him. "Forgive me for not recognizing you right away, my lord. I-"

"Please rise." Spyro said, looking to the mares as well. "All of you." The mares got up and left, leaving the two stallions together, Spyro turning to face the fashion stallion. "I wouldn't be here with these right now if I didn't believe in Rarity's talent as a Fashionista. I am ready to stake my title on these dresses being the best gowns you could ever see. Just give her another chance sir and I promise, you won't be disappointed."

Hoity-Toity looked at the box the prince was holding and then back to the prince himself, noting the seriousness in his eyes and in his tone, convinced that he was telling him the truth.

"Very well, I'll give her another chance." He said. "And these dresses had better be what you claim to be. I shall return tomorrow to see them."

"Thank you Hoity-Toity. You won't regret it." Spyro said, watching the stallion leave to find a place to sleep for the night.

Spyro was pleased he managed to convince the stallion to stay to see her actual work, but knew convincing Rarity to try again was going to be impossible as she was in distress, watching as she ran into her room, locking the door. The next morning, everyone was heading to check on her, the girls wanting to apologize to Rarity, but she refused to come out of her room, calling herself a failure and thinking of sending herself into exile.

"There has to be something we can do." Twilight said. "It's kind of our fault after all."

"Panic." Fluttershy suggested.

"That's your answer to everything." Rainbow Dash said, leering at the yellow pegasus.

"Well we can't leave her like this." Applejack said.

"Yeah, she'll become a crazy cat lady!" Pinkie said, making everyone look at her, annoyed for what she said.

"She only has one cat Pinkie." Spyro said.

"Give it time." Pinkie said, making his eyes roll.

"Spyro, I got an idea." Twilight said. "Think you can freeze Rarity in time real quick?"

"With a clear shot, yeah it's no problem." Spyro replied, heading outside to the window where Rarity was in her bathrobe, crying her eyes out as she laid in bed. Calling his Keyblade, he pointed it at Rarity, getting a clear shot at her through her window. "Stopaga!"

A massive clock appeared above Rarity, freezing her in time and rushing back to her door, pointing the Keyblade at the door handle and hearing a click as the door to her room swung open, making the girls shiver at how effected the Keyblade was. He and Twilight walked in, looking around and seeing Opal, Rarity's cat, just pawing at the frozen mare, confused about what had happened and at her work station was her unfinished dress.

"Ok Twilight, what's the plan?" Spyro asked. "You asked me to freeze her, now what's next?"

"We need to get Rarity out of her room and see her finished dress." She replied.

"Um, Twilight, her dress isn't finished." He pointed out. "And I doubt she is going to be in the mood to finish it." He then looked over to Rarity where Fluttershy was petting Opal and picked her up, carrying her out. "And what's Fluttershy doing with Opal?"

"Trust me, it's part of her plan." Twilight replied. "We need you to keep Rarity busy while we finish her dress. When you hear Opal's sounds of distress, then your part will be over."

He didn't like where all of this was going, sensing this might be a bad idea and wanted to turn to leave, but his friends were counting on him to play his part. While the girls moved the mannequin with Rarity's unfinished dress on it, Spyro waited for the spell he used on Rarity to wear off and when it did, he had to cover his ears as she started to cry.

"Oh, I need to go into exile!" She said, walking past Spyro, not paying attention. "I guess I would need to move when I go into exile. But what would I need to pack? It will take me forever to pack what I need."

"Why would you want to banish yourself to exile?" Spyro asked, scarring Rarity as she turned around and screamed. "Oh, sorry Rarity."

"Spyro!" She shouted. "How in Equestria did you get in here!?" She then looked down at his flank, remembering his Keyblade and its ability to unlock things. "Oh, right. Your Keyblade. But what are you doing in here anyway?"

"I just can't stand to see you upset." He replied. "How you've been talking right now and about exile, I was getting really worried."

"Well, I appreciate how worried you are for me." She said, walking up to him. "But, I am a laughing stock in the fashion world. Due to those horrible dresses, Hoity-Toity sees me as a complete failure. I'll never sow again."

She then walked over to her bed, about to start crying again if not for her friend coming over and wrapping his wing around her, which she didn't walk away from as she leaned into him, her head on his shoulder as she started crying. He then looked out the window, finding Rainbow Dash put Opal in the tree and waving to him, letting him know everything was ready. Nodding his head, he waited for Rainbow Dash to get out of sight before he said anything else.

"To me Rarity, you aren't a failure." Spyro said, making the mare look up to him. "The first dresses you made were amazing. Even the suits you made me were perfect as you put everything you had into them. I'm sure everything will work out."

A moment later, they both heard Opal's cries of distress, making them both run to the window and Rarity opened it, looking around until they both saw her holding onto a thin tree branch for dear life, frightened out of her mind.

"Opal dear, how did you get out there?" Rarity asked. "Hold on honey, mommy's coming!"

"Hang on Rarity, I'll help." Spyro said, running after her.

The two of them ran out of her room and down into her stores main lobby George running outside, where everyone was waiting for them as Rainbow Dash sat in the tree, waiting for Rarity to come out.

"Rainbow Dash!" Rarity exclaimed angrily. "Did you put Opal in that tree!?"

"Well how else are we going to get you to see this?" Rainbow Dash asked, pointing to their friends as they moved away, revealing Rarity's finished dress.

The dress itself was ruby red in color with gold lining on it with several different jewels on it that matched the dress with a gold tiara and three ruby's on it. Both of them were stunned at the finished product, Rarity completely speechless while Spyro couldn't believe how it came out as it looked like something fit for a noble in Canterlot.

"Wow." Spyro said. "It's amazing."

"We finished your dress for you!" Pinkie said.

"And it's also thanks to Fluttershy and her freaky knowledge on sowing." Applejack added, making the yellow pegasus blush.

"But, it was in my room. How did you get it while I was in there?" She then looked over to Spyro, who tried to not make eye contact, but knew something was off. "Spyro, were you apart of this plan?"

"I... Cannot lie, yes I was." Spyro said, getting an annoyed look form his friend. "But it was for a good reason. We were worried about you and didn't want you to stay in your current state of mind. So, we all pitched in to finish it for you."

"And to say we're sorry for making such outrageous demands that obviously ruined the dresses." Twilight said. "The dresses you made for us the first time were perfect."

"So, do you like it?" Fluttershy asked.

"Like it?" Rarity asked, walking around the dress to inspect it, looking shocked, but then giving a blank expression as she turned her back to her friends. "Like it?"

"Oh, she doesn't like it." Fluttershy said, shrinking if fear.

"No, I don't like it." Rarity said, making her friends sad before she herself started to smile, turning to face her friends. "I love it!" She said that, everyone cheered, happy to have made her happy. "It is exactly how I have envisioned it to be! You all did an amazing job."

"Well, we just followed your design Rarity." Fluttershy said. "It was beautiful."

"And you worked very hard to make our dresses the way we wanted them to be." Rainbow Dash said, bringing Opal down from the tree on her back. "And they turned out horribly. We should have seen they were perfect the first time like Spyro did. We're sorry Rarity."

"Oh, it's quite alright darling." Rarity replied, Opal jumping on her back. "But my career as a fashion designer is ruined! In shatters!"

Everyone looked down, knowing it was their fault that her career as a fashionista was over, but Spyro just smiled, walking up to her and lifting her head to allow her eyes to meet his.

"No Rarity, it's not over." Spyro said, confusing everyone. "I managed to convince Hoity-Toity to give you another chance today."

"TODAY!?" Rarity shouted. "I can;t make a whole new line of dresses in an instant! What were you thinking!?"

"Well, you don't need to make a whole new set of dresses." Spyro said, walking everyone over into the boutique to show the first dresses Rarity made, shocked in awe. " held onto them just in case because I knew that this whole thing was going to be a disaster and wanted to be sure to save them."

"Oh, Spyro!" Rarity said. "You are such a dear! I could-"

Without a single word, Rarity turned his head and kissed him long and hard on the lips, making him jump in the air, his limbs erect outward until she was finished, dropping him as steam came out of his ears again, the goodies grin on his face as he lifted his head. A minute later, they all heard hoof steps behind them and turned to see Hoity-Toity had returned as promised.

"Well, I haven't got all day." He said, Spyro getting up and helping Spike with the curtains. "Take two!"

As the room grew darker, Rarity's horn started to glow a blue magical aura that shined so bright that when she released her power, the room was engulfed in an illusion of stars flying from the left and revealing Twilight in her gown as stars flew onto the end of it, Twilight turning to face Hoity-Toity, who looked intrigued as he pulled his glasses down to get a better view of her dress on the lavender unicorn. After that, the illusion changed to a sunny day at the apple orchard, panning over all the trees until it stopped at a specific apple, lassoed by Applejack as she swung it around and posses, revealing the dress she was in, which Hoity-Toity seemed to take an immediate interest in as, from Spyro was hearing, he was craving something apple-based to eat. hence it shifted again to a bunch of pink and light blue clouds raining candy from the sky and landing on Pinkie's dress as she ate a piece of the illusionary candy, the fashion hot shot shouting about it's brilliance.

Then a boom of rainbow colored lighting sounded out, catching him off guard as the scene changed again to a sunny day being shrouded by clouds as two different bolts of lightning went off, one a mixture of the warm colors while the other the cool colors, as breaks in the cloud coverage appeared, each one showing a different colored light that when brought together, they turned into a rainbow stream until it turned into Rainbow Dash and the dress she was wearing, which the fashion big shot himself praised. Then flowers started to grow from the ground, blooming like they do in the spring and the petals popping off as butterflies flew into the scene, one landing on Fluttershy's ear, Hoity-Toity clapping.

"Spectacular!" He shouted. "Spectacular! Encore! Encore!"

He got his wish then the scene shifted again, catching everyone off guard, even Rarity as she wasn't doing this, and an image of a massive door appeared with dark shadows flowing out of them, running at the fashion pony until white flames shot up and a single pony stood in the center of the stage, covered in black as the white flames traveled up his forelegs and up his back, turning to pose was Spyro showing off the everyday clothes she made for him, which Hoity-Toity adored, shouting how bold it was. And for the grand finale, the entire floor changed as it revealed a pit of molted gold and a dark pony standing at the mouth of it, raising his wings ad it erupted, covering him in gold until he shattered out of it, some of the gold still on their clothing as the head dress appeared when formed from shadows, Spyro showing off the attire for the gala.

"Stupendous!" Hoity-Toity shouted. "Absolutely out of this world! Now this is a fashion show! Who did it? Who is responsible for these amazing designs!? Step forward, show yourself!"

As he aid it, Rarity walked across the stage, wearing the dress that her friends had finished for her, using her magic to pull the curtain back and show the dresses again.

"Oh, bravo! Bravo!" Hoity-Toity continued. "Magnificent! Absolutely show stopping!"

"Oh, thank you!" Rarity exclaimed, looking to her friends and then back to the fashion stallion. "Thank you all!"

Everyone got off the stage, the fashion big walking up to Rarity to compliment her for her work while Spyro folded up his new everyday clothes when he heard some hoof steps coming up behind him, turning to see Rarity and Hoity-Toity walking up to speak with him.

"Your highness, you were right about these dresses." Hoity-Toity said. "They are out of this world!"

"I'm glad to see you pleased with her hard work." Spyro said.

"Pleased?" He asked. "Try exhilarated. Amazed! Stupefied! Awe struck!! These are the best dresses and suits I have ever seen in my travels for fashion!"

"Yes, Spyro, thank you so much!" Rarity said, walking up and wrapping her neck around his. "It's thanks to you that my dream of being recognized as the greatest fashion designer is coming true!"

"Not a problem Rarity." Spyro said, hugging her back. "Not a problem."

"And you, miss Rarity, your gowns are everything I have hoped to find." Hoity-Toity said, making the pair look at him. "Would you do me the honors of allowing me the opportunity to show your couture in my 'Best of the Best' fashion boutique in Canterlot?"

"Of course!" Rarity said excitedly. "It would be my greatest honor!"

"Excellent." Hoity-Toity said. "Now, I need a dozen of each dress and suit by next Tuesday. If it isn't too much trouble?"

As he asked for such an order, Rarity's expression turned to horror as her eye started to twitch, getting ready to have a mental breakdown, which Spyro had a solution for as Hoity-Toity left. he walked over to Rarity and whispered something in her ear, her terror turning to joy as she looked at him, hugging him for his idea.

"Spyro darling, you are a life saver!" She shouted. "When can you do it?"

"Tomorrow morning." Spyro replied. "And if things go well, you should have them done in just five days."

With another hug, Rarity ran upstairs to get everything ready, leaving him with the girls, all of which wondering what he said to her that he'd do tomorrow, wondering what he was planning that made her so happy.
