It was late afternoon, the end of the school period that day, the setting sun brought an orange tone to the environment, birds sang in the few trees that the big city had, adults and children walked side by side through the streets, a charming sight, but a The young man in particular was not finding it charming at all.

Walking down the sidewalk was a boy, looking down wistfully, his shoulders hunched. This young man had messy and fluffy green hair, emerald eyes, freckles in a diamond pattern on his cheeks, was of average height, approximately 1.66m, and his body was thin, exposing his lack of physical training.

'Maybe he's right, they all are, I really should give up, there's no chance I'm a hero.' Thought the boy, whose name was Midoriya Izuku, exuded an aura of deep sadness, today was the last straw for his emotional state.

He observed a notebook in his hand, it was written "Hero Analysis for the Future Vol.13", the problem, it was burned, a handprint visible on the cover denotes the use of quirk, courtesy of his former friend, Bakugo Katsuki and his quirk Explosion.

'If you want a quirk, do a swan jump from the roof, who knows, maybe you'll get one in the next life.'

The memory of those words still destroys the greenish heart, making it difficult to believe how their friendship has reached rock bottom, it seems that after today there is no going back.

'It's not my fault…' Thought Izuku, entering a tunnel that was a shortcut to his house, or apartment, in this case.

The boy passed by, and didn't even notice the "predators" lurking around.

'Hmm, an average sized body, perfect for running away from that guy.' Something rambled, hidden in the manhole, watching the boy pass silently.

"Maybe I could be a police officer, a firefighter, or even a doctor…. Ah… Who am I kidding, I already know the answer to that…" The boy murmured, thinking about his future, but he had a strange feeling, as if someone was watching him.

It was at that moment, the stalker carried out its attack, quickly leaving the manhole, the boy barely had time to turn around when he was enveloped in stinky green goo.

"Oe, Oe, boy, please be quiet, I promise it will be quick, I just need to possess your body." Said the stalker, now revealed a villain made of slime, suffocating the greenish.

Izuku tried to free himself in every way, but he couldn't hold back that goo, he was going to die that way.

'No! I don't want to die like this... Kaa-San, I'm sorry... I'm sorry…' The boy thought pleadingly, he was already losing consciousness, but still listening to the villain's last words.

"How lucky for me, thanks boy, you are my hero, hehe." Said the villain, mockery apparent in his muddy voice.

Izuku was already without hope, just waiting for death to take him, that's when he heard a loud banging noise, turning his blurry gaze to the end of the tunnel, he saw, a silhouette very familiar to him, man, big as a closet, two strands of hair sticking out, it could only be him.

"No! How did you find me?!" The villain asked in despair, looking at the intruder.

"Walking through these sewers was a headache, but you won't escape justice, villain!" Said the man, his voice was booming, he wore a simple white shirt and green cargo pants, with the addition of a shopping bag he was carrying.

"Damn All Might!" They were really the villain's last words.

"Save it! Texas Smash!" Shouted the big man, punching the air and creating a gust, it was strong enough to blow the slime villain into pieces.

The last thing Izuku could see was the glowing silhouette of the hero who saved him.

"All… Might…" The boy whispered, falling into unconsciousness.

It seemed like hours had passed, but in reality, it had only been a few minutes since Izuku passed out, and that was enough time for All Might to collect the villain's remains. Now, the hero was trying to wake up the fallen boy.

"Hey, hey!" The Goliath patted the greenish face, trying to get a reaction, that's when the boy opened his eyes, scared.

"Oh! Ah, good that you woke up, for a moment I started to worry, HAHA!" All Might said, smiling relieved.

But Izuku wasn't relieved, he was terrified.

"All Might! The villain, what happened?! Thought I was going to die!" Izuku said exasperatedly, to the hero's confusion.

"Relax, young man! The villain is in good hands, see!" All Might said, featuring two bottles filled with green contents, could only be the villain.

"Ah, I see… Thank you for saving me… Wait! My notebook, I need an autograph!" Izuku despaired, trying to grab the notebook that was bouncing in his hands, but when he opened it...

"HAS HE ALREADY SIGNED?!" The boy shouted, looking at All Might's signature taking up two pages.

"Thanks! Thanks! I swear, it will be a family heirloom!" The greenish thanked profusely, receiving a nod from the hero.

"All right! Good to see you back on your feet, young man, but I must turn this evildoer over to the authorities." Said All Might, walking to a more open area.

"Wait, are you already?!" Izuku asked, exasperated.

"Crime doesn't sleep, so neither do heroes!" The big guy replied, not even turning around.

"Wait, I-" Izuku didn't have time to say anything.

"Thanks for your constant support!" Said the hero, jumping away.

Izuku could only stare in complete silence, he missed the chance to ask him.

'Damn it! It's just my luck…' Thought the greenish, frustrated to the core.

What the boy didn't know was that the second predator in that tunnel had moved closer to him. Too close.

"I think... I have to follow what I planned, huh…" Izuku said, sadly, walking to his fallen backpack.

After picking it up and checking that everything was in order, he hangs it on his back, however...

"Argh!" Izuku screamed in pain, it felt like something had bitten him in the neck.

SLAP!

The boy slapped his neck, and felt like he hit something. Turning his hand over, he saw that it was a spider, it wasn't very big, it looked like a common spider in the region.

"That's all I needed, now I have to worry about a spider bite... It's just my luck…" Izuku said, heading home.

"This day is at the top of the list of the worst."

Arriving home, Izuku couldn't feel any worse, it felt like he had been trampled by a herd of angry buffaloes, twice.

Arriving at the door of his apartment, he entered and didn't even realize his mother was waiting for him.

"Izu, I was waiting for you, what do you want for dinner?" Asked the woman, her name was Midoriya Inko, straight green hair in the same tone as her son, emerald eyes, but she was short and chubby, due to the stress over the years.

Izuku went straight to his bedroom "Hi, Kaa-San, I don't want dinner, I'm going to sleep, I'm exhausted."

That was his response, already entering the room. Inko just looked at him with concern, wondering if something happened to him.

"Good night, dear…" The woman murmured, full of concern.

In the boy's room, he barely lay down before completely blacking out, unaware of the changes occurring in his body.

The next morning, emerald eyes open to another day. Izuku slowly gets up from the bed and heads to the bathroom for his routine hygiene, but, just seconds after entering...

"AAAHHHH!" Izuku screams in fright, because of his reflection in the mirror, his body, which was previously thin and with visible bones, now looks like he spent his entire life in the gym, because his body was in high definition, chest divided, abdominal muscles, biceps and triceps developed, in short, everything was improved, even the height, which increased to approximately 1.72m.

"B-But... What happened to me?!' Izuku was perplexed in front of the mirror, trying to remember what he did to make this happen, that's when he felt a strange sensation, time around him seemed slow, the hair on his body stood on end , and there was something on the back of his neck bothering him, following that sensation, his eyes stared at the bathroom door, and he quickly, by instinct, moved out of its reach.

BLAM!

Immediately, the door was almost ripped off its hinges, the monstrous beast that did this was a worried mother.

"IZU! WHAT HAPPENED?!" Inko bursts through the door, concern and despair evident in her voice, but she stops, paralyzed from head to toe, staring at her son who stared back at her in shock.

"Hey… Kaa-San…" Said the boy, his voice almost breaking.

Inko simply collapses onto her back, completely losing consciousness.

"Kaa-San!"

After an hour, Inko finally woke up from her sudden faint, finding herself lying on the sofa in the living room.

"Izuku…What happened?" She was still groggy, but managed to alert the boy, who was in the kitchen.

"Kaa-San! You woke up, you were already worrying me." Said the greenish, approaching the woman, he was carrying a glass of water.

"I had a weird dream, in which you were totally pumped, looking like you had been at the gym forever." Inko told about the "dream", drinking the offered water.

"So…That wasn't a dream." Izuku replied, interlacing his fingers nervously.

Inko looked at her son, before her brow furrowed "So, you're using steroids behind my back?!"

"No! Never!" Izuku responded immediately, shaking his hands in denial.

"Then! How do you explain what I saw?!" The woman replied, still finding it difficult to believe that possibility.

"I...I'm not sure, but something happened to me yesterday, and I think...I think I developed a quirk." The boy dropped the bomb on his mother's lap, who looked at him as if he had grown another head.

"Okay, I should take you to a doctor, but I'll listen to what you have to say, explain then." Ordered the woman, looking closely at the boy, who was becoming even more nervous.

"Okay…Remember when I got home yesterday?" The boy asked, receiving a nod from his mother. "So, before, I was attacked by a villain, and then I was bitten by a spider-"

"AND YOU EVEN THOUGHT TO WARNING ME?! YOU COULD HAVE DIED!" The woman completely lost her composure.

"I KNOW! But I was too tired for that, it didn't even occur to me, I just wanted to sleep." Izuku explained, and it certainly wasn't enough, given Inko's furious expression.

"I slept, woke up, and it was like this." The boy said, pointing to his body.

"So what? Did the spider give you a quirk?" The woman asked, still not buying her son's idea.

"Probably, some animals develop quirks of their own, it's extremely rare, but it can happen." Izuku said, looking away from her.

"That's enough, I'll take you to the hospital right now!" Inko replied, getting up and walking hurriedly to collect the necessary documents.

"We take advantage and do a quirk assessment." The greenish one suggested, still in a trance, thinking about the possibility of him having a quirk, after so long.

"IZUKU!"

It seems someone wasn't as excited as him.

A few hours later, still in the hospital, Izuku had missed school, but everything was fine, if he was correct, school didn't matter at that time.

Izuku and Inko were in the office of Dr. Ogura Toshiki, the quirk assessment doctor available at the moment.

"Very well, we did all the preliminary tests and, indeed, your DNA now has a quirk factor, Midoriya-Kun." Dr. Ogura revealed it to the two, much to Izuku's joy and Inko's shock.

"B-But, how?!" The woman asked, starting to shake, tears starting to form in her eyes.

"You see, from what you reported, the spider bite could have caused the change, Midoriya-Kun was correct in his question, it is extremely rare, but some animals can develop quirks. The surprising thing is that the spider has a genetic alteration quirk, and even more, it bit you, when you didn't have any quirk, ha, how the world goes around." The doctor said, going through the files, sounding amused.

Izuku was almost spilling the dams right then and there, but he needed to ask something…

"Doctor, do you think… With this quirk…I can be a hero?" The boy asked, looking down, afraid to hear the same answer he received before.

'Better forget it, boy.'

But…

"Midoriya-Kun, I have no authority to decide this for you, if you want to be a hero, it's up to you to decide. But if you want my honest opinion, of course you can." Said the good doctor, to Izuku's euphoria, Inko was off to the side, just listening to the entire conversation, thinking profusely.

"If we were to take the basics of your new quirk, a spider mutation, you would have some interesting abilities, an enhanced strength, you could stick to certain surfaces, you might be able to produce your own web, but this last one, if it's the way i imagine, it wouldn't be so cool." The man continued, giving some examples to the euphoric boy, but he shivered when he mentioned the web.

"That…That would be amazing!" Exclaimed Izuku with his eyes shining, they looked like two headlights.

"Of course, we're not sure of anything, so I suggest you stay a little longer, so we can perform a series of tests and discover the basics of your new quirk." The doctor said, receiving an immediate agreement from Izuku, but Inko still remained quiet, which Izuku noticed now.

"Kaa-San? What's the problem?" The boy asked, worried, as he saw his mother's tears flowing.

Inko finally woke up from her trance, looking at her son in a daze.

"I-It's nothing, Izu, I'm just happy…Very happy." Said the woman, shedding more tears "After so long, you finally made it…"

Inko could barely speak, she was shaking and crying compulsively, the only thing Izuku could do was hug her, trying to provide the minimum amount of comfort. And as this scene unfolded, Dr. Ogura watched without interfering, he understood that this was a delicate and emotional moment for both of them.

"Okay, since you both agreed, we will perform basic exams for additional information about the quirk Spider, recently registered by user Midoriya Izuku. We'll start with a basic strength test." The doctor said into a recording device, before turning to the anxious boy.

"Ok, Midoriya-Kun, see this metal bar I carry, it is made of steel, I want you to try to bend it." The doctor said, handing the metal into Izuku's hands.

"Right…Now?" The boy asked, positioning the bar.

"When you want." Was the doctor's response.

All said and done, Izuku forced both ends and managed to bend the metal with extreme ease, much to Inko's disbelief and the doctor's amused smile.

"Alright, let's go to the next one."

After the series of exams and exercises, the three were back in the office, this time for the last time.

"Okay, we're finally done, and the results couldn't be more satisfactory. If you allow me, I'll list everything we've discovered so far." Dr. Ogura said.

[Midoriya Izuku, 14 years old;

Quirk: Spider, basically, a human spider;

Known Skills: Super strength;

Advanced resistance;

Adherence to surfaces;

Heightened senses;

Improved speed;

Production of webs by the wrists;

Possible healing factor.]

The man listed each of the skills, and with each one listed, Izuku just needed to have a heart attack, just imagining the possibilities. Mainly the webs, thankfully he could produce them through his wrists, it wouldn't be very heroic if it were his… Forget it.

"It's certainly a formidable set, Midoriya-Kun, but something caught my eye." Said the doctor, suddenly becoming serious.

"What is it, doctor? Was it something serious?!" Inko asked, already fearing the worst.

"Relax, Midoriya-San, it's nothing serious, it's something related to your webs, Midoriya-Kun." The man explained, to the teenager's confusion.

"And what was it?" Izuku asked, curious.

"You see, their webs are like normal spiders, only stronger, but that's obvious. What I mean is that your webs can last for a long time lying around, that would certainly be a nuisance." The doctor revealed, and observed Izuku's expression of understanding.

"I understand, and is there a way to bypass this? I intend to use them in my career as a hero." Izuku said, still hopeful, this doctor was good at what he does.

"Certainly, I can give you a diet list, and if eaten regularly, they can reduce the durability of your webs, whereas normally they would last a week or more, they would last between one and two hours." Obura said, presenting his solution.

"It would be perfect, it's more than enough time, especially if it won't harm the resistance and strength of the webs." Izuku spoke with a mile a minute of excitement, wishing he had his notebook at that moment.

The doctor smiled at the boy's attitude 'He will definitely be a great hero.'

"Okay, that seems to be all, I recommend you get plenty of rest, your body may still be going through changes, stay rested until tomorrow." The doctor said, handing a paper to Inko.

"This is the diet, eating them regularly is the secret." He said, smiling in farewell "Have a good trip."

"Thank you Dr. Ogura." The two said goodbye, heading towards the door.

When they were almost leaving, the doctor remembered something important.

"Wait! I forgot something." He said, looking directly at Izuku.

When they both turned around, he asked the question.

"Midoriya-Kun, I know you're excited about your new quirk, but I need to ask you something very important. Do you want the truth recorded about how you got it?" The man asked, looking seriously at the boy.

Izuku immediately understood the doctor's logic, it would be difficult for anyone to believe it, and it would be very suspicious.

"I...I think it would be better to hide it, if someone higher up finds out about the spider and me, things could get complicated." Izuku replied with an apprehensive look.

"Of course, I will record that there has been a late awakening from a stressful and traumatic event. That's all, until next time." Said the doctor, and then mother and son closed the door to the man's office.

'Basically that's what happened.' Izuku thought, remembering the slime villain.

At night, Izuku was in his room writing in his analysis notebook about his own quirk, a serene look on his face, he had had that expression for a long time.

'This was definitely a gift, I think the universe got tired of beating me and decided to give me a reward in return.' Izuku thought, briefly stopping writing and observed his wrists, seeing a whitish shape on them.

"Finally…I will be a hero, get ready for the Human Spider!" Said Izuku, looking determinedly somewhere.

After a brief silence...

"No, that was terrible."
