Chapter 14
The fall out was instant.
Principal Tobe was immediately dismissed. But his replacement was just as bad. Once more he was eying Shin, but it was far more blunt. They ignored Rook completely, despite the trouble he caused, which only mean one thing.
Something is about to go down.
But before then… Rook was sat down… with his father… before their mother who had Sukuna blocking the door.
"Now… I am rather embarrassed at this point. Since I expected something like this from your father, but I thought Rook had more smarts than that!" she protested. "And now… despite the fact that we just busted the principal of this school for child porn… what did you do during your little 'talent show?'" she demanded of Rook.
"Oh…" realizing the error of his… performance.
"I do admit, brat, not bad moves…" came out of Sukuna.
Rook shuttered. "Okay, after hearing that come from Oji, never again!" he vowed.
Yua paused. "Really?" she asked.
He nodded rather fearfully, Yua peered at Sukuna who shrugged his shoulders carelessly to it all.
"Rook, go to your room now." She decreed.
He was gone in a flash, in fact, the chair was still moving as her eyes came to Satoru. He tried to bare his innocent look and insisted he had nothing to do with this. "I don't know where he got it from, maybe his uncle?" he asked and nudged his head to Sukuna.
Yua's arms crossed. "I don't defend Sukuna on many things, but this, I am willing to put money down that he had NOTHING to do with. Not to mention, don't think I didn't notice the stripper pole hole you left in the backyard…"
He froze.
Busted.
"So… why am I here?" Sukuna asked. "I am certain I am not here to prevent him from escaping…"
"No, you are here to punish him… So… Sukuna… pick sometime this year or next… when you and Satoru can switch places again…"
"WHAT NO!" Gojo protested. "Come on Yua…"
"Ooo, really? Interesting… and if I desire something else?" he asked.
Yua peered at him oddly. "What more do you want out of Satoru? If anything, this is the best case scenario…" she said.
"Is it?" he asked curiously.
"I'LL TAKE THE DEAL!" Satoru protested. "Sure, one month, he and I switch, fine! Whatever!"
Yua paused oddly as she looked to Sukuna once more, he bore a rather devious grin. "Do you have a better idea?" she asked of him.
"Yua…" Satoru pleaded.
"Perhaps… if anything I was going to let Chusi decide…"
"I already consulted her, and we agreed to this." Yua said bluntly. "And I think you know why…"
Sukuna sighed and rolled all four of his eyes. "Of course… THAT" he muttered.
"Can… I be excused now?" Satoru asked like a scolded child.
She nodded and set him on his way.
Taking a seat shortly after, Yua sighed aloud as her hand went on her belly. It swelled out again. "Hard to believe I am only three months…" she muttered.
"One trimester down…"
She peered at Sukuna once more. "You're still lingering?"
He nodded to her, yet, what is with that look. "Something troubles you, doesn't it?"
"There is." He said bluntly. "Knowing Kenjaku as long as I have… I cannot ignore this sensation… something feels off to me. Despite the fact he knows I still live, I linger in a sense which is why he brought Uraume out of hiding… but, why go through the trouble?" he asked. He shook his head at the thought of it all.
"Is that what really troubles you?" she asked of him.
Much to her shock, he shook his head again. "I am at the point that I could care less about Kenjaku, what's the worst he can do to me now?" he asked. "No, this is… something different. Something I haven't felt until I switched with Six Eyes and took his form…"
"Did you want to talk about it?"
Once again, he shook his head. "I rather not."
Yua, being understanding and all, just nodded in agreement with him. "If you want to talk it out…"
"I am more than aware," he said bluntly, with that he waved her off and left the house.
"That's not like him…" Yua muttered. "Something troubles him and yet…" she swore though, that look of concern… was aimed at her.

The next day at school…
Shin noticed them.
In fact, there were a lot more of them around than usual. "Whoa, spike in students or something?" Rook decreed. As he 'looked' about the halls, he appeared to be concerned about something. "Why are so many here, sorcerers?"
"To think before how rare they are and yet, this school now… is teaming with them… Something isn't right…" Shin whispered.
"An influx of students in the middle of a semester period, no shit" Mochi said under her breath. "Keep on your toes."
Shin found it odd that throughout the day, random and unknown students would approach him, introducing themselves by clan name and wanting to establish friendly relations with him. "We heard all about you, to think, a Gojo goes to this school!"
That was it, wasn't it? To get in his clan's good graces… no… there is something more to this.
"Can we carry your bags? How about homework, let me do that for you!" they began to bombard him with odd requests to do this and that for him…
Wait a moment…
Oji had said something like this before, hasn't he?
'Weak sorcerers are drawn to the strong, what may seem like friend relations can be a whole different meaning. More often than not, it comes down to factors. Your clan name, your power and how easily they believe they can corrupt you. Those who tend to follow a single strong sorcerer, do so in flocks. More often than not, that power goes to the sorcerer's head. It makes them full of themselves… I should know.'
That was one of many secret pep talks Shin has had with Oji, and this feel as if the pep talk has come to pass.
"Hey, look, you all seem like a bunch of nice people, but… I don't really want to be involved with anyone here." Shin said bluntly as he gently took back his bag that someone tried to take from him. "If anything, I would appreciate if you left me alone."
This stunned the students.
"What? You don't want our company?" one demanded of him. "Look, are you that full of yourself to think…"
"I am not the least bit full of myself," Shin said gently. "I merely wish to make friends who I want to be friends with. I merely met you no more than three minutes ago and you are forcing your friendship on to me. So…" he aid and gave them a look of 'come to your own conclusion'
There were six young men before him, about his age. Yet, just by the looks in their eyes, Shin felt like he was prey to them. His mother did warn him about the influence the three great families had. Toshi even chimed in and explained how true those words were. Those who claim to be your friend, are not your friend, for they are only interested in the power you will obtain and use.
If he were to guess, the Gojo clan wants to make him take his father's place as the head of the family. Despite the fact that Shin doesn't really answer to the name Gojo, and only does so at school.
"Are you being serious right now?" one student demanded of him. "Look, I don't know who you think you are, but you are turning down a golden opportunity…"
"How so?" Shin asked.
They smiled to one another. "We came from Jujutsu Technical collage. Our teachers there heard that you attended here. They want to bring you to that school over the one that is better suited for monkeys"
"I refuse," Shin said bluntly and began to walk away.
But they caught up to him. "Hey, wait, hear us out at least!"
"I already did, but you refuse to hear me. So, take the hint, get lost" Shin said bluntly and began to walk a little faster.
They refused to back down.
"I don't think you quite understand here, Gojo… We're not leaving this school without you." One student said flat out. "And with this many sorcerers in the school… all sorts of… mishaps can occur to the monkeys that go here, right?"
Shin froze.
He turned on his heels and confronted his five stalkers. "Don't… you dare… use people as pawns!" he said in a warning tone. "I could give a shit about your preppy school, where the hell you came from or the fact that I'm a Gojo… I don't care!" he snapped at them. "But, if you so much as throw a punch at a student here… I will throw one at you, and rest assured. I've been training with my father and very strong members of my family. Some you don't even want to know let alone see face to face. But I will use everything they have taught me, and use it against you. Understood?"
The five sneered at him, they took their leave before long, yet, Shin could already sense he may have to fight them later.
Not just them either.
He sensed twenty others in the hallway, lingering and watching the whole conversation occur. Perhaps they are weighing his words? Either way, Shin vows to keep on his toes!
