Chapter 15

2 months later…

It would be close to a Shibuya incident if one could imagine the scale, and yet, it was specifically targeted.

Kiyoshi was in the gym, sparring once more with Uraume. But today it was far different than before.

Uraume was going all out, no holds bar and refusing to hold back their attack on Kiyoshi. However, Kiyoshi has adapted to the ice element, and today he was dealing with it easily. Uraume was smiling throughout the whole thing, despite the attacks they threw at him. Kiyoshi could deflect, destroy or absorb it and add to his power. It became so relentless that his curse marks were out in the open for all to see.

Before long, Uraume stopped the contest. Kiyoshi still stood firm and ready to fight, but they didn't. "What's wrong? I can keep going!" Kiyoshi protested.

"Perfection…" Uraume simply stated, they approached Kiyoshi, then, their hand began to trace over the curse marks on his face in a gentle manner. But, there was confusion. "Your markings are changing master…"

Kiyoshi backed away in disgust. "Whoa, hands off! Look, thanks for the lessons and all but, I think I got to get ready for my next class…"

He turned to leave, but the door suddenly was blocked in ice. He sighed aloud. "That's not going to stop me." He said bluntly. Yet, he paused. Uraume was gone… "What the hell…"

The walls suddenly shook!

Kiyoshi was thrown off balance but recovered the moment he heard people screaming! "What the hell…" He tore through the ice wall with ease, yet when he made it to the main hallway.

He froze in fear.

Students who were in the halls… were frozen in ice.

"It's about time I prepare a feast for the master, considering his vessel is now in perfect condition. I have done all that is asked of me, now, I must prepare a celebration meal… How fortunate that there is plenty of stock animals in this building…"

"What… NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" Kiyoshi roared, he began to unthaw the ice at once, but Uraume merely smiled and moved along to other victims.

Kiyoshi turned to the wall, there was a fire alarm… but… if he pulls it, won't more students be in danger? "Oh God, dad, what do I do!?" he muttered.

First things first, he had to unfreeze the students…

"Whoa…"

Rook froze as he felt that, Mochi too. They were quick to rush from their seats. "Where are you two going?!" the teacher demanded.

"Keep everyone in this room, block the door with desks if you have to, stay away from the door!" Rook ordered.

Neither one gave an explanation, Rook did a massive text to the students he knows and told them to do the same thing. Those who had come out of their classroom to see what was going on, Rook shouted to go back in and keep away from the doors, just as they heard the sound of ice breaking down the hall.

"Mochi, get the kittens ready!"

She was already on it, Mochi's confidence has returned as she summoned two massive tigers forged of fire. "Go, if anyone is in ice, free them!" he ordered.

The fire tigers were quick to move out, however, before either one could make it down the stairs, they were stabbed! Two large ice spears pierced the tigers, and took them out!

"Pathetic little kittens…"

They appeared. Uraume smiled at them. "Oh good. I thought the children of the six eyes would come… you would make a wonderful meal for my master…" their hand extended. "Ice clam…"

The hallways began to cover in a sheet of ice! As it made it's way towards them…

"Not happening…"

Fire erupted.

Mochi summoned all she could to block it, but her technique hasn't reached the same output. However…

"Perhaps I can help with this…" Rook turned and saw Hoshi, he came beside Mochi and took a deep breath.

Fire erupted from his mouth, instantly melting the ice before them, canceling the technique.

It made Uraume pause oddly. "Strange, there hasn't been a fire jujutsu that can match my ice… unless it is from the master…" they said in a rather bitter tone.

Hoshi stepped forward, his nostrils flared as he breathed out smoke and ash. "Master huh?" he asked bluntly. "Can your master do this then…" he took another deep breath and unleashed it. Uraume was able to dodge it easily, yet Hoshi merely smiled. With a flick of his fingers, he sent the fire the other way, following Uraume with ease!

"Hoshi, can you take it from here? Mochi and I are going down stairs!" Rook asked.

"No problem, my brothers are on the way down too, my sisters are on this floor if I need help…"

With a nod, Rook rushed downstairs with Mochi.

By the time they arrived. Rook froze.

Mochi too as she saw Kiyoshi, crying desperately. "HELP ME!" he begged.

"KIYOSHI!" Rook rushed to his side, but paused as he saw his friend holding on to the captain of the sumo team. "Kiyoshi…"

"I… I couldn't save him… everyone… I couldn't… I couldn't do a damn thing!"

Rook took off his blindfold, and saw everything with clear vision.

The halls were lined with students, all had been frozen and then thawed out, but none of them were moving. "Kiyoshi…" Mochi whispered. "Are they all dead?"

He wept and nodded to her. "It was so fast, I didn't think… why did they do this!?"

"Don't know…" there was another rumble.

"I don't think Uraume is the only one doing something now…"

Mochi froze. "Shin! I'm going outside to help Shin!"

She rushed off, before either one could stop her. Rook however sighed aloud until he heard something. Down the hall, there were rooms still froze in ice. But he could hear people calling for help. "Rook…" Kiyoshi whispered. "What do we do?"

"I already texted my dad, he should be here soon."

"I texted mine…"

"Yeah, but what's strange is, I did that just five minutes ago, knowing my dad, he should have been here by now…" He checked his phone, and was surprised. "Dad hasn't even seen this message yet…" he texted Pops next, but same thing. No reply.

Something more was going on than the incident inside the school…
