Squaretree: Thank you :). I'm sorry for that, but I intent to make Izuku the only "Spider-Man" in this story.
Thanks for the ideas, maybe Izuku won't awaken another power in USJ, but in the future, for sure.
I'm sorry again, but I'm not going to pairing Izuku with Tsuyu, nothing against her, but it's not a ship I like so much.
Chapter 04 - And the Guidance?
It was his first day at U.A, and Izuku was once again at the entrance gates of the school of his dreams, this time, as a legitimate student, wearing the institution's standard uniform, except for the tie, which he couldn't put on correctly at all, so it looks more like a scarf than a tie, and the classic red shoes couldn't go unnoticed.
The boy saw the students entering the building, whether they were newbies or veterans, all smiling, it seemed like it was yesterday when he received his reply letter.
FLASHBACK ON
A week had passed after the entrance exam, and Izuku was a nervous wreck. He had gotten around 47 points, but he didn't know the cutoff score, it could very well be 50 points, and the doubt about his choices was killing him.
Izuku was sitting at his desk, tapping his foot restlessly.
"I think I would rather face two Zero Points than wait for an answer." Izuku said, paging through his analysis notebooks, until a frantic knocking on his door almost made him jump in fright.
"Izu! Izu! It's the letter, it's arrived!" Inko said from the other side, still knocking on the door, her voice betrayed her despair.
Izuku, quick as lightning, flew across the room until he opened the door.
"Where?!" Izuku asked, as desperate as his mother.
The woman extended her hand and Izuku saw the letter with the U.A. crest.
"Oh my…Alright, I go-" Izuku began, but was interrupted.
"Just go, Izu, I'll wait here." Inko said, pushing the letter and him into the room.
Now alone with the letter, Izuku was shaking.
"I can't weaken now, I've already been through all that, it's just a letter..." Izuku said to himself, finally opening the letter, only to see a set of papers and some kind of silver disc. Taking that disc in his hand, he noticed that there was a button next to it, placing it on the desk, he pressed it and a hologram appeared.
"I AM HERE LIKE A HOLOGRAM!" All Might shouted in the recording, scaring the boy.
"ALL MIGHT?! But isn't this letter from the U.A?" Izuku asked himself, but Holo Might continued his speech.
"You must be wondering what I'm doing in a message from U.A, and the answer is simple, I'll be teaching from next semester." Said the hero, to Izuku's absolute surprise.
"WHAT?!" Yelled Izuku, disbelief written all over his face.
"HAHAHAHA! Let's not waste any more time, I still have to record other messages. Let's see…Midoriya Izuku, in the written exam I can say that you aced it, a percentage of 98% was correct on your part, an impressive feat, few did the same." Said the recorded hero, and Izuku could only nod in understanding, he already expected a high grade.
"Now onto the practical exam. You got a total of 48 villain points, not a bad score, but there is something you might like to see." Said the hero, giving space to a screen behind him, and it showed Izuku saving Ochako from "certain death" and then saving the blonde girl from the same fate.
"To other people, this may have been nothing but the foolish actions of a boy who was wasting time in a competition. But, young Midoriya, U.A isn't like that, what you did there is what is always expected of heroes, saving people at the expense of their own well-being." Said All Might seriously, making some tears escape from Izuku's eyes.
"So, young Midoriya, U.A has an extra point system, to give a bonus to those who are like you, Rescue Points, and you got 60 rescue points for your altruistic actions, adding it all up, you have a total 108 points, reaching first place. And I say now, I hope to see you in the future as a professional, come Midoriya Izuku, this is your Hero Academy." All Might finished his speech, with only the rankings remaining, after a while on that screen, the hologram then went out, leaving Izuku in tears, flowing like two waterfalls from his eyes.
"I did it…" Izuku whispered, tears still falling.
Looking at the papers that came with the hologram, Izuku saw that they were an acceptance letter, and some drawing papers, probably to design his costume.
Wiping away his tears, he got up and opened the door, Izuku saw his mother still there.
"How was it?" Inko asked, her eyes red too, probably because of crying...Also.
Izuku just smiled shyly. "I did it…" He said quietly, to Inko's euphoria, who released the floodgates of tears once again, and now accompanied by Izuku.
FLASHBACK OFF
It was undoubtedly emotional, perhaps not for the neighbors below, there may have been raining tears.
Izuku was in the middle of the hallways, trying to find his classroom. That's when he found a map, and with its help, the boy found himself in front of the room's huge door, with a big '1-A' printed on it.
'I'm here, after so much waiting, I will finally begin my journey to become a hero...I just hope those two aren't here.' Izuku thought, his mind going back to the robot boy and Bakugo.
Opening the door, he was greeted with a discussion between two students, and coincidentally, it was the robot boy and Bakugo.
'Why...' Izuku thought, his hopes for a normal school year evaporating.
"Get your feet off the desk immediately! Do you have no respect for the people who made it and the Senpais who used it?!" Exclaimed the robot boy, waving his arm in a chopping motion.
"Eh? I don't give a fuck, who are you, you extra?" Bakugou asked dismissively.
The robot boy straightened formally, placing a hand on his chest.
"My name is Iida Tenya, I come from Somei Private School." Said the now known Tenya.
"Eh? Somei? So you're one of the damn elite, aren't you? I will love to destroy you!" The explosion boy spoke, alarming Tenya.
"Destroy me?! Are you sure you want to be a hero?!" Tenya asked, surprised.
Bakugou was about to respond, when he noticed Izuku at the door, looking at them. Tenya, noticing Bakugo's gaze elsewhere, also turned to look, also noticing the greenish boy.
"It's you!" He exclaimed, rushing to greet him "My name is Iida Tenya, I'm fr-"
"I-I heard, my name is Midoriya Izuku, n-nice to meet you." Izuku said, stuttering a little.
"Tell me, Midoriya-Kun, you discovered the extra points for the exam earlier, didn't you?" Tenya asked, confusing Izuku.
"A-Ah, n-no Iida-Kun, I discovered when I received my letter." Izuku replied, a little embarrassed that they were attracting the attention of the rest of the class.
"I understand, then I must apologize! I spent all this time thinking that you had second thoughts, this just proves that you are much better than me, I ask you to forgive me!" Tenya said, bowing ninety degrees, much to Izuku's shock.
"N-N-No need for that, Iida-Kun! Please stand up, I'm not better than anyone else, we're all here to learn, aren't we?" Izuku said, his face getting even redder.
Katsuki, looking at all this, remembered when he was called, along with Deku, to the Aldera principal's office, who wanted to congratulate them for getting a place at U.A. The Principal all the time highlighted the miracle of Deku being approved. And he still remembers what Deku told him when he had questioned him.
'I will be a hero, Bakugo! You have no right to make me give up!'
'Damn nerd, he must have cheated somehow to get first place, this little shit ruined my origin story, you're fucked, Deku!' Katsuki thought, a prominent vein on his temple attests to his anger.
Izuku and Tenya's conversation was interrupted by the arrival of another person.
"Oh! It's you Midoriya-Kun, I'm glad you made it in." Ochako, who had just arrived, greeted the greenish boy.
"U-Uraraka-San, I knew you could do it." Izuku said, smiling at the girl.
As they greeted each other, a blonde girl looked intently at the two, a small smile present on her face.
"That robot was scary, but you were amazing holding it, you must be very strong." The excited girl said, waving her arms in simulation of Izuku's own actions.
"I-It was nothing." Izuku said, trying to hide his red face.
"If you're here to make friends, you can leave." Said a new voice.
Following the direction of the voice, Izuku and the other two saw what looked like a caterpillar with a human face, and it was looking straight at them, leaving them paralyzed.
A hand appeared from inside the cocoon and opened a zipper, the cocoon revealing itself to be a sleeping bag. And it was then that a completely disheveled man stood up, making everyone in the room silence up.
"It took you eight seconds to quiet up, that's a lot of wasted time." Said the man. "My name is Aizawa Shouta, your class teacher. Now, this may seem sudden, but put on those gym uniforms inside your desks and head to the testing ground in ten minutes, don't be late." Aizawa said, leaving the room.
Immediately, each student picked up their uniforms from their designated desks and ran to the changing rooms.
At the testing ground, Shouta was standing there watching the students arrive.
"You are fifteen seconds late, understand that time is precious, we will work to fix this error, that is, if you stay until the end." He said threateningly, sending a shiver down the students' spines, even Katsuki.
"Today, since it's your first day, we're going to do a Quirk Apprehension Exam. You will do a series of exercises using your Quirks. Any questions? No? Great, let's get started." He said, not expecting any questions from the students.
"Wait Aizawa-Sensei, and as for Guidance, everyone else is there." Ochako said, looking apprehensively at the few friends face of the teacher.
"U.A gives teachers the freedom to teach the way they see fit, and to me, if you're training to be a hero, you shouldn't waste time on meaningless things." The man said, making the girl silence up.
"Somebody else? Great, let's get started." He said, pulling a device from his pocket, revealing it to be a holographic projector, which when activated, showed the exercises that the students would do.
"We'll do a demonstration." Shouta said, throwing a softball to the first person who appeared, and in this case it was Bakugo.
"You, Bakugo. At your old school, how far did you throw softball?" Shouta asked, looking closely at the blonde.
"About 66 meters." The blonde replied, making light of it.
"Okay, now, I want you to throw the ball using your Quirk, anything goes, as long as you stay in the circle." Aizawa informed, pointing to the white circle next to him.
'Anything goes, huh.' He thought, taking the ball and entering the circle, after a little preparation "DIE!" He shouted, moving his arm in a throw.
BOOOMM!
He sent the ball away with a powerful blast, impressing the others except Izuku and Aizawa.
"Die?!" The class said, together, like a choir.
'Die? Typical of him.' Izuku thought, not at all surprised.
After the ball fell far away, a device that Aizawa was holding beeped, attracting everyone's attention, who looked at it.
"Know your limits, then push them, that's what I want from you, Plus Ultra." The man said, showing the device's screen: 705.2m.
It was enough to get the students buzzing.
"Wow! More than 700m, super manly!" A boy with spiky red hair said, his name was Kirishima Eijirou.
"It wasn't as bright as me." The blonde boy with the belt said, looking somewhere random.
"So we can use our Quirks without worrying? This will be fun!" Said a girl with pink hair and skin, but her eyes had black sclera and golden irises.
Shouta, seeing the students' excitement, tried to cut them off.
"Fun, you say? Let's do something fun then, whoever comes last in this exam will be judged hopelessly and will be expelled." He said, with a sinister expression on his face.
Izuku looked shocked at the teacher, remembering reading on a forum once that an entire class was expelled from U.A by a 'crazy teacher', as one of the users described it.
"Expelled?! But that's not fair, we passed the entrance exam, we have the right to be here!" Ochako exclaimed, indignant.
"The world isn't fair, destructive and murderous villains, natural disasters that devastate cities, no one thinks that's fair, but that's how it is, so if you don't want to be expelled, try not to come in last place, do your best." The evil-looking man concluded.
After he said that, the blonde girl from before was in a cold sweat due to nervousness.
'No...I just received my quirk, I can't control it, I'm lost.' The girl thought, starting to tremble, and was soon noticed by Izuku, but he decided not to say anything for now.
"Now, if the irrational questions are over, let's start the exam, we've already wasted a lot of time." Shouta said, making everyone get ready.
FIRST TEST: 50M DASH
The first to compete were Tenya and a girl with long green hair, her name was Asui Tsuyu, and his quirk gave him a certain resemblance to frogs.
It was no surprise that Tenya won "3.04 seconds!" Said the timekeeping robot.
"5.58 seconds!" Said the same robot marking Tsuyu's time.
After a few races, with Izuku being able to see the various quirks in action, it was finally his turn, and much to his displeasure, he would go against Bakugo.
"In their places." Aizawa said, and soon after the two took their positions.
"Get ready to eat dust Deku, you will never beat me." Katsuki said, only for the greenish boy to hear.
Izuku didn't say a word, just staring straight ahead in concentration, annoying the blonde.
'Surely there is someone manipulating this...Of all people, it was him…Thanks universe.' Izuku thought, before the robot gave the signal.
Bang!
When it started, Bakugou advanced quickly with his explosions propelling him, the blonde was already bragging about his victory, however...
Thwip!
A white thread was attached in a position in front of the blonde, and soon after Izuku passed at speed, having propelled himself with the web until halfway, and finished the rest running, leaving the blonde behind.
"3.52 seconds" The robot gave Izuku time.
"4.13 seconds" The robot marked the blonde's time, who was in shock, and then tried to get some explanations.
"DEKU! WHAT SHIT WAS THAT?! HOW DID YOU BEAT ME?!" Shouted Bakugo, running towards the greenish boy with his hands smoking, but was stopped on the tracks by a...Cloth?
"What the hell is this? Why can't I use my Quirk?!." Said the explosive blonde, trying to free himself.
"Because I erased your Quirk, calm down, I'm not here to babysit you, do that one more time and you will be expelled immediately." Aizawa was the one who shot that cloth, which was his scarf, he had bright red eyes and flowing hair, and then he let go of the arrogant blonde.
It seemed like an alarm had gone off in Izuku's head, who looked at the teacher in surprise.
"Did you erase his quirk? Don't tell me you're…Eraserhead?!" Izuku asked, to the surprise of his classmates and a knowing look from Shouta.
"Don't make me use my Quirk for too long, it gives me dry eyes." He said, putting eye drops in his eyes. "Let's proceed, without further delay."
'That threat of expulsion could be real, if Eraserhead's severe reputation is true...' Izuku thought, sweating nervously.
SECOND TEST: GRIP STRENGTH
The initial highlight of this test was the six-armed boy, whose name was Shoji Mezo.
Beep!
The device that Mezo was pressing beeped, recording his score: 540kg.
"Wow, man, 540kg? You have almost the strength of a gorilla?!" A boy with medium black hair and protuberances on his elbows questioned the gray one, his name was Sero Hanta.
"I don't know, I just squeezed as hard as I could." The six-armed boy replied.
Beep! Crash!
Everyone looked towards where the sound came from, seeing Izuku holding the crushed device with a shocked expression.
"S-S-Sorry!" Izuku said to the teacher, bowing in forgiveness, the teacher looked at him tiredly, before sighing and typing something on the tablet he held.
'Shit...' Izuku thought, sweating a lot more.
While Izuku suffered from his precocious imagination, two blondes looked at the greenish one's achievement, one furious, and the other fascinated.
THIRD TEST: SANDBOX JUMP
Nothing impressive in this test, some students reached further than others, but the highlight goes to those who had adequate quirks, as follows…
"Midoriya, your turn." Aizawa said, and Izuku quickly followed behind the strip marked on the ground.
"You know the drill, jump as far as you can into the sandbox." Shouta said, not even looking at him.
Izuku didn't even need momentum, jumping from where he was, he performed an arc jump, landing right after the end of the sandbox.
Nobody said a word, they had already seen what he did in the last test.
FOURTH TEST: SIDE STEPS
Nothing new, no one had an absolute advantage over anyone else, except the blonde girl, who apparently wasn't using her quirk in the tests. And Izuku had already recognized the girl, being the one who destroyed Point Zero, and her name is Melissa Shield, apparently, she is David Shield's daughter.
'Why doesn't she use her quirk, with the strength she showed in the entrance exam, she could pass without any problems. Unless, when she uses it the same thing happens as before, she breaks completely.' Izuku thought, looking subtly at the girl, who seemed more nervous with each passing minute.
FIFTH TEST: TOES TOUCH
Those who were more flexible received the highest marks, like Izuku and the pink girl, named Ashido Mina.
With Izuku bending almost in half and touching his feet.
SIXTH TEST: ABDOMINALS
No secrets, resistance and determination prevailed here. For the most part, the students did well.
A kind of highlights include Izuku, Katsuki and Eijirou, the manly redhead, who stayed longer than the others.
SEVENTH TEST: DISTANCE RUN
The students had to run on a track until there were few left, and the few that remained were Izuku, the tall, mature and black-haired girl named Yaoyorozu Momo, and Tenya. Izuku ran using the same technique as the 50m, propelling himself with the webs for acceleration, Momo created a bike and pedaled the entire route, to Izuku's disbelief, and Tenya used his quirk to follow and pass the other two.
EIGHTH TEST: SOFTBALL THROWING
Since Katsuki had already left, he was left out. And for Izuku, it was interesting to observe the students using their quirks in different ways to throw, or not.
Tenya kicked the ball away, Momo created a DAMN CANNON and threw the ball towards Asgard, Ochako took the ball's gravity away, sending it into infinity, if this was truly a competition, it would have ended there.
While other students took their turn, Izuku noticed the blonde girl more apprehensive than ever, and finally, he decided to approach her.
Arriving at her side, she didn't even notice him, too nervous.
"H-Hey, Shield-San, are you all right?" Izuku asked, touching her shoulder, as the blonde turned around with surprise.
"A-Ah, sorry, I didn't notice you here." Replied the blonde, her face flushed in embarrassment.
"N-No problem, but I recognized you from the exam, what you did there was amazing." Izuku said, trying to cheer the girl up, but only managing a brief smile.
"Maybe, but I couldn't continue, I don't control my quirk very well, so when I use it, it breaks my body." Melissa said, looking down defeated, probably accepting that she will fail and be expelled.
Now Izuku understood the girl's situation. "I see, your power is too strong, and your body can't handle it." Izuku said, receiving a nod from the girl.
"How does it work?" Izuku asked suddenly.
"What?" Melissa asked back, confusion written all over her face.
"Your quirk, how do you use it? Perhaps I can help you find a way to mitigate the damage, at least for now." Izuku replied, making the blonde look at him in surprise, almost hopeful.
"Well, at the moment I can only go all or nothing with my quirk, I normally use it on my arms and legs to attack, and it gives me incredible strength, but I can't stand it, when I use it on my arm, it breaks." Said the girl looking at her arm.
"Okay... Since you can't control how much power you use, perhaps the best option is to use it in less risky places, for example, if you can focus your power on one of your fingers, you can use your quirk, at the cost of one finger instead of an arm." Izuku said, in his thoughtful position, receiving a surprised look from the girl.
"But maybe you already tried that, so-" Izuku was going to continue, but was interrupted by the girl.
"No! T-This might work…" The girl replied thoughtfully, that was a very good idea, why hadn't she thought of that, it was so obvious.
Izuku looked analytically at the girl, noticing something strange. If she had this quirk for all her life, she should have thought about this possibility of use.
"Shield-San, if I may ask, have you tried using your quirk before?" Izuku asked, and the girl looked at him alarmed, when she was about to answer...
"Midoriya, your turn, go." The teacher ordered, and of course, Izuku obeyed, taking one last look at Melissa before leaving.
Entering the circle, the boy considered his options, he could simply throw it with his hand, being sure he could send it away, or...
'I'll use my web to make some kind of slingshot.' Izuku made up his mind, shooting a line of web onto the ball and increasing its length. Having made a line of about 1.5m, Izuku began to spin the ball like a lasso around his body, it was strong enough to create a slight gust, after a lot of centripetal and centrifugal force, he threw, and the ball went far, until it disappeared from sight.
After a while…
Beep!
Aizawa's device beeped, with the teacher revealing the score to the class: 1196,3 m.
"Man! Over a kilometer, that's insane!" Said the electric blonde, Kaminari Denki.
"How strong is this guy?! Isn't it enough to have destroyed us in the latest tests?" A large brown haired boy complained, crossing his arms, his name was Sato Rikido.
Izuku's throw was behind Momo's cannon and Ochako's infinity, given the circumstances, it was good.
But Katsuki wasn't finding that good, it was terrible, since when did the nerd have a quirk, had he tricked him all this time?
'That damn Deku, you're going to pay...' The furious blond thought, trying his hardest not to attack the nerd, he didn't want to be scolded again by the teacher.
The students' murmurs continued, they were still surprised by the greenish boy's capabilities, but Aizawa was already fed up with them.
"Silence!" The teacher ordered, making everyone silent, looking at him scared.
"Shield, you're next." Aizawa said, looking closely at the nervous girl, who looked at Izuku, receiving an encouraging nod from the greenish one.
The girl entered the circle, remembering Izuku's words.
'Focusing the power on my finger, I can...' Thought the girl, getting ready to throw, her arm glowed with orange veins, slowly passing her power to her index finger.
'I can do it!' He shouted in thought, throwing his arm forward, throwing the ball, which fell limply in front of him.
'What?! I could have sworn that-' The girl continued thinking, but a very familiar cavernous voice interrupted her.
"I erased your quirk, if that's what you're wondering." Aizawa said, looking at her with his red eyes, making Melissa and another hidden blonde swallow hard.
"I saw what you did in the entrance exam, you used your quirk and was useless afterwards, so… I don't understand how that exam continues, if even people like you can pass." The man said, making the girl's heart suffer a thump.
"If you intend to be a hero, you cannot need to be saved every time you save someone, that is the height of irrationality." Aizawa finished, sighing heavily, clearly tired, and then throwing another ball to the blonde.
"You will have another chance, take it." The man said, returning to his position.
Melissa looked down thoughtfully, he was right, she couldn't be the successor from him in that way, it's okay that she received her quirk recently, but time is running out, she had to get it.
Looking determinedly at the ball, she got into position again, turning on her quirk on her arm and passing it to her finger.
'It's now!' Thought the blonde.
"SMASH!" Melissa shouted, throwing her arm again.
BAM! FOOSH!
The girl's throw caused a shock wave and soon a wind gust that almost blew away everyone present, much to their surprise.
"What was this?! Are there only monsters in this class?!" Denki and Hanta asked at the same time, trying to steady themselves so they didn't go flying.
"That's a lot of power…" Said a boy with a raven head, his name was Tokoyami Fumikage.
After the dust settled, Melissa stood in the middle of the circle, holding her square finger, holding back tears.
"Sensei." The girl said, catching Shouta's attention. "I will be able to save people!" shouted the girl, showing the man her broken finger.
Aizawa looked at the girl in surprise, but gave a small, but satisfied smile. 'This girl…'
Beep!
At the signal from the device, Shouta revealed the result to the class: 705.5 m.
"Ohhh, amazing! Finally a hero score." Ochako said, having also recognized the girl from the exam.
"So she had that kind of strength?" Momo wondered, having previously thought that the girl's quirk was not of the physical type.
'Looks like she made it.' Izuku thought, happy for the girl.
Aizawa took the front of the class, with a hologram disc in his hand.
"That was the last test, remember what I said before…" Aizawa said, looking menacingly at them, before dropping the disc on the ground, immediately activating it and showing the placement of each one.

'Oh no...Shield-San...' Izuku thought, looking sadly at the blonde, who was controlling herself not to burst into tears.
'I failed… I'm sorry, Uncle…' The girl thought, imagining what she would do from there, but…
"By the way, about the expulsion, I lied." Shouta revealed, to the shock of everyone present.
"WHAT?!"
'Lied? But a class was expelled from here, and everything indicates that it was him.' Izuku thought, analytically evaluating the teacher.
"That was kind of obvious, actually." Momo said, attracting the looks for her, who was embarrassed to receive them.
"OBVIOUS?!" Almost everyone screamed.
"It was all a logical ruse to make you give it your all, Plus Ultra." Aizawa said, putting an end to the matter, but Izuku had other ideas.
"If it was a lie, then why was an entire class kicked out of the hero course a while ago?" Izuku asked, looking at the teacher, and once again, surprised the others with the new information.
Shouta looked at Izuku with the look 'He knows too much', but decided to give an honest answer, the boy deserved it.
"Yes, I was responsible for expelling them, they didn't have the necessary potential, not for me to teach them...But you...You are not all bad, that's why you will remain here, but don't relax, I won't hesitate to expel you if necessary." Aizawa said, giving the 'look' to each student in his class, who nodded stiffly, almost saluting.
"Class dismissed, go home, except you Shield, you're going to see the old nurse." The man said, walking into the building, and leaving the astonished students behind.
"He could really expel us…" Momo muttered, as if her beliefs had been shattered.
"Yes…That was a beautiful first day, wasn't it?" Mina asked the rest of the class, trying to relax them.
"I preferred Guidance…" The greenish boy murmured shyly.
