Hi everyone, its me again. Been a while since this story got an update. Sorry to those who were wanting more to this. I wanted to leave an explanation and summary of what would have happened.
So first off, why I stopped writing this: I kind of made a few to many mistakes like introducing too many characters at once, not giving them enough focus, and progressing and resolving things (like the Umbreon's memory loss) in rushed fashion without much ceremony. The whole story was shaping up to be like this.
Plus I actually retooled this story idea into a different concept awhile back and have been working on a webcomic based off that concept, but using some leftovers from this (like an Umbreon, Sylveon , and ninetales being protagonists, plus the Swords of Justice being in the story, the important rocks playing a part, etc.) This was early in my writing days back before I knew how to structure a story properly. My skills have gotten better since and I feel this story would have ended up pretty bad. I was going to give it a rushed ending, but that ending would be too unfulfilling and leave open too many plot holes and threads that would never be fulfilled
The new comic will be called Fate Weaver and will be posted on my devaint art and other things like comic fury and webtoons.
My Deviantart is Blue-Wanderer21, which should be in my profile on here.
Anyway, a summary of what would have gone down in this story:
In a nutshell: the heroes would have found the camp of bandit Pokemon, and the Umbreon and espeon would have been captured while the other heroes followed them to camp. They would meet the villain, a hydreigon and be thrown in a cell with the kidnapped kids. From the hyrdregion we learn that there is a coordinated effort by a Pokemon criminal/ terrorist group across the continent inciting these attacks to cause chaos for unknown reasons. (Later revealed to be a cover-up a bigger scheme (main villain plot) and to throw people off the trail of the real villain's plan)
Darkrai would show up and free the captives, but vanish before the rest of the heroes would invade the camp and fight off the evil pokemon.
They get the Shade and Lace ( the umrebon and sylveon) as well as the kids back to town but the bad guys launch an attack. Then an epic battle follows, with Cobalion defeating and killing the hydreigon in battle. Before the hydreigon dies, he states how there is still more to come from his high-ups.
After this, we learn from the guild master that the stones are key to holding off another dimension's threat, and Shade was supposed to transfer the stone in secret to the Wind Guild for safekeeping. Shade works for the legendaries from Sword and Shield as a knight errant of sorts.
From there the heroes would team up to go on a quest across the land to find the other weaver stones (important maguffins) and fight various members of the evil criminal's group who I did not bother naming. There would be a romance between Shade and Lace, as well as Cobalion and Virizoin. They would also find the other Swords of Justice and have them join the group.
Finally, we would learn the true villain behind everything is Necorzoma, who wishes to unleash the ultra-beasts into this world. Their home dimensions is chaotic and violent, and since something ( I don't know what, maybe magic or dimensions traveling problems) kept him from going home he wanted to bring his home to this dimension ( Necrzoma is from another dimension)
They fight, have an epic battle, and the day is saved, Necrozoma dies.
So day is saved, and heroes go their separate ways. Lace joins Wind Guild, Shade goes with her and they start a relationship. The Swords of Justice get back together and Mother ninetales goes to live in the capital city with her daughter.
As for Darkrai, we would have learned halfway through that he was the same one from the Explorers of Sky games and he turned over a new leaf. He would have been following the group and protecting them from shadows, as he knew they would not trust him for a while. He would join halfway group through, and in the ending he would be hailed as a hero. (Heck I was going to have Kyruem join in but he was way too overpowered to be a main character, so he would likely be a random boss fight. He would have joined because he got bored in whatever ice cave he was camping in)
So yeah, a bit generic. My retooled comic story is pretty different but has similar elements.
However, I may someday reboot this story in a similar vein to the old draft.
So sorry this did not get a better conclusion but as I said, my rushed ending would have sucked. It would end with the fight against the hyrdeigon and then a mention and hints to the rest of the story's plot threads I described, but no follow-up on that would ever happen. So why not save the story for later?
Right, that's all I got for this. Hope to share Fate Weaver in the future. (By the way, the sylveon is changed to an espeon in the new comic)
And perhaps one day this story will be rebooted. And hopefully better written. SEe you if or when I get around to that. Or if you are following my other stories, see you when those are updated.
