(Dodgeball Rematch Part 1)

*April 16th, 1941*

*10:21 am*

*Highlands High School*

It was a very beautiful sunny day in New York as the PE class was getting ready to play a game of dodgeball as each team was getting prepared.

"Today is the day when me and my friends are rematching against Anya, Charlotte, and Nancy and oh man, I've been waiting for this day for almost a full month…" Joseph had thought to himself as he was finishing up with tying his shows as he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder from Thomas.

"You ready? Let's try to kick some butt today! Anya and her little friends are going down" Thomas had spoken to his friend in a confident tone of voice as his words were met with Joseph nodding his head in agreement as he and Thomas proceeded to leave the locker rooms as they were ready for a game of dodgeball as they eventually bumped into Wanda who was waiting for them in the front along with Charles.

"Heya, How was spring break? I hope it went well for you and are you guys ready to beat Anya's team in the upcoming rematch?" Wanda (a young 16 year old girl with brunette hair and brown eyes) had spoken to her friends while doing some stretches as the gang proceeded to start walking to the courtyard.

"Eh, It wasn't too shabby or anything but I'm still healthy so I guess it was pretty good but I've been training with my throws so I could defeat Anya" Joseph had responded back in a rather chill tone of voice as he suddenly heard the blow of the whistle indicating that the gang had arrived at their destination in which Coach Jones and his class were at.

"It's best to get into our teams and it's mostly the same as last time, Deborah, me, Joseph, Andrew, Wanda, Jeffery, Alferd, and Ernest with the expectation of Russell who isn't here today due to sickness but it should still be a clear victory.." Charles had spoken to the gang as he analyzed the situation as the gang had finally made it to their teams as they awaited for Coach Jones to explain the rules of the game.

"There's Anya and her friends…" Wanda had thought to herself as she looked over at the trio with a smile on her face as she could hear them talking among themselves.

"Wow, that's amazing to hear! I'm glad that you had fun at your cousins' house and it's amazing to have a family to spend time with.." Nancy had spoken to Anya as she was pleased with what she heard regarding the past week as she did some stretches in the process.

"Thank you, Cousin Catherine, Daisy, and Katie were really wonderful but I did meet a strange guy as well…" Anya had spoken back to Nancy and Charlotte as their expressions quickly became filled with curiosity.

"A strange guy? What do you mean by that…" Charlotte had asked her friend in a tone of curiosity as she waited for an answer.

"I'll tell you both later but let's try to focus on the game, okay? We gotta beat Joseph's team!" Anya had responded back in a confident tone of voice as she gave her friends high-fives as the gang was ready to play a game of dodgeball.

"Sounds good and hopefully everything is okay as well" Nancy had spoken back to Anya as she was met with her friend giving her a thumbs up and a smile.

"Don't worry, I'm doing good! I'll spill the beans after the game" Anya had spoken back as her words made Nancy smile as they heard the sound of the whistle blowing indicating that Coach Jones had something to say.

"Alright! The blue team had won the last dodgeball game due to the amazing performance of Nancy but now it's been a month and I thought I wanted to see everyone's improved skills but without further ado, LET THE GAMES BEGAN!" Coach Jones had cried out in a joyful tone of voice as he quickly ran out of the dodgeball court as the many teens ran for the six balls that were lined up in the court.

"Alright! Remember the plan! We gotta take out Nancy first since she delivered the blue team to victory in the last game!" Joseph had directed his friends as he quickly grabbed one of the balls with great speed as his words were met with nods of understandment from Wanda and the others.

"Got it! Here goes nothing!" Wanda had cried out as she quickly threw the ball with great speed as it dashed across the other side of the court and hitted Charlotte.

"Charlotte is out!" Coach Jones has cried out as this had caught Anya and Nancy off guard.

"O-Oh no! Charlotte has been ringed out already!" Anya had cried out as she saw her friend walking towards the out of bounds section with slight disappointment in her face.

"I wasn't paying attention but you and Nancy can do this!" Charlotte had cried out to her friends in hopes of supporting them even further as she continued to watch the game.

"Anya, Follow my lead! We gotta take out Deborah and the others so we can focus on Joseph and his friends but the key is to stay focused!" Nancy had advised Anya as her words were followed with Anya nodding her head in understandment as she and Nancy quickly grabbed the balls and proceeded to run backwards while dodging the balls that were aiming towards their way as they suddenly heard Coach Jones speaking.

"Eddie, Anne, Mike, Maria and Don are out!" Coach Jones had cried out as the eliminated players made their way towards the out of bounds area.

"Damn! There's only three people left in our team and it's Anya, Nancy, and Glenn…" Eddie had spoken out in shock as he knew that it was now three against a full team.

"Glenn, right? Try to keep up with us, okay? Things are only gonna get harder from there" Nancy had advised Glenn as she was met with him nodding his head in agreement.

"Got it! Ready when you are!" Glenn cried out as he waited for the next set of directions as he looked over to the red team as he heard the group talking amongst themselves.

"Ernest! Since we have most of the balls while they only have two then we should simply eliminate them on the spot!" Thomas had advised Ernest as he was met with him nodding in agreement.

"Now this is the power of teamwork so let's show Anya that we're the CHAMPIONS of dodgeball!" Wanda had spoken out in a tone of joy as she and the other team were prepared to throw the balls as this was being watched by Joseph.

"This should be a game match, there's no way that three people can take down a nearly full team…" Joseph had thought to himself as he smiled and motioned his hands as if he was throwing something.

"Anya! It's time to lose!" Joseph cried out in joy as he finally motioned his hands to allow his teammates to throw the balls as the objects came rushing towards Anya's team.

"Anya! Glenn! Quickly dodge the balls while I go for the throw!" Nancy had directed Anya and Glenn.

She quickly dodged the balls and proceeded to throw the two balls across the court as she successfully eliminated Jeffery and Ernest which brought a smile on her face.

"Jeffery and Ernest are eliminated!" Coach Jones had spoken out as the two eliminated players went to the out of bound zone as this was watched by Anya.

"I'm getting all fired up! We won't allow you to win, Joseph!" Anya called out to Joseph in a confident tone of voice as she, Nancy, and Glenn were ready to take down the red team as this was followed with Charlotte giving them cheers.
