(Anya's Date?)

*May 18th, 1941*

*3:15pm*

Two days had passed since the festival as Anya was waiting for Calvin in front of the department store while she looked around for her friend.

"Such a gentleman Calvin is for making a lady wait nearly twenty minutes and I'm pretty sure he said it was a date which I hope it's not…" Anya had spoken to herself as she let out a sigh while looking over to see Calvin running towards her much to her relief.

"Good Afternoon, Beautiful, You look rather splendid today, How are you doing?" Calvin had spoken to his friend as he stared at the blue kitty foyle dress that Anya was currently wearing.

"Calvin, It's about time you've arrived but I'm doing quite swell, Thanks for asking but do you wanna check out that department store over there but also, Thanks for the comment" Anya had responded back as she slightly blushed at his comment while pointing to the store that was by them as this was met with Calvin nodding his head.

"You're welcome, I know we haven't been hanging out as much besides the whole festival stuff but today is the day which I'll make it up to you, okay? So let's enjoy today like there's no tomorrow" Calvin had advised his friend as he was met with Anya nodding her head with a smile on her face.

"You're right, It is pretty nice to just hang out once in a while so let's start with checking out that department store" Anya had spoken back to Calvin as the pair entered the store as it had many clothes and jewelry which made Anya awestruck,

"Alright, my budget for today is thirty bucks so I don't wanna overspend on any clothing so I might just look around" Anya had spoken to Calvin as she wandered off on her own while him had a smile on his face.

"Of course, Please do what makes you feel comfortable and in the meantime, I'll simply follow you around" Calvin had spoken back to his friend as he quickly caught up to Anya as the pair was in the women's clothing section as Anya looked around at the beautiful clothing as Anya took the time to study each of the clothing that she saw.

"Calvin, Which color suits me the best? Blue or red? I'm only asking for your thoughts so please don't get any wrong ideas" Anya had asked her friend as she showed him the red and blue dress while she waited for her answer.

"Let's see, I think red suits you best because you have such a fiery personality so you should go with red!" Calvin had answered back as he observed the two dresses which made Anya surprised while she put the dresses back.

"Red, huh? Very interesting but I just wanted to know your thoughts and all but what do you mean by fiery personality? I'm quite curious to hear your thoughts.." Anya had asked Calvin in a rather curious tone of voice as she waited for her answer.

"I mean, You always stand up for others, you're not afraid to speak your mind and you're quite tough for a woman and I like that in a woman…" Calvin had answered back as he let out a slight chuckle in the process as this was followed by Anya's expression being surprised.

"Calvin, You like strong women, don't you? If so, This makes me happy because most boys don't even like girls who can pull their own weight but I also get my personality from my mother and aunties but mostly my mother.." Anya had spoken back as she let out a smile which made Calvin smile back as the pair shared a small laugh together.

"Say, do you wanna grab a bite to eat? I know this pretty swell spot that's just around the corner so I thought I could take you there since your birthday in a few days or so" Calvin had offered Anya as his question was met with her nodding her head in agreement.

"Sure, Thank you so much in advance and my birthday is in a couple of days so I might as well celebrate it early" Anya had answered back as she and Calvin started to walk towards the exit of the department store as their next destination was the restaurant.

"Anya, are you truly having a good time? I know this was rather unexpected but I just wanted to make sure that you were doing swell" Calvin had asked Anya once more while the pair was walking towards their destination as the young boy waited for an answer while Anya turned her direction towards him.

"Of course, I know our first meeting wasn't good and all but you have proven to me and my friends that you're quite the wonderful guy." Anya had answered back while she gave him a smile and a thumbs up which made Calvin smile back in relief.

"I'm glad to hear that and I also see the restaurant so this means we've arrived at our destination." Calvin had spoken back in relief as he pointed at the restaurant as it appeared to look quite fancy much to the surprise of Anya.

"Golly, This place looks quite swell! I never really ate at those types of restaurants before so this should be quite fun, wouldn't you say?" Anya had spoken to Calvin in awestruck as she observed the fancy building as she heard him beginning to speak.

"Agreed, Judith did told me about this place last year and it was pretty darn good so I'd figured that I take you here one of these days but don't worry, I'll pay for your meal like the gentlemen that I should be" Calvin suggested to Anya as the pair proceeded to walk inside of the restaurant.

"Judith may be mean but she sure does have good taste in where she goes so I'll give you credit for that but Calvin, Please don't tell me you're still friends with her? You know she hurted Emma on that day.." Anya had spoken back to Calvin while the pair walked over to the empty tables to sit down while she had a look of concern on her face.

"Oh no, I've spoken to her yesterday and we're not friends anymore but she was rather angry at you, Emma and the others but I'm sure it was just her childish behavior talking" Calvin had answered back much to Anya's relief as he heard her sigh.

"I'm glad to know that and I just wanted to make sure but let's not talk about Judith, okay? Let's try and finally get to know each other a little more since it's been like two months since we've became friends and whatnot" Anya had spoken back to Calvin with a smile on her face which made Calvin smile back as the pair looked over to see a young man walking towards them with the menus in his hand.

"Good Afternoon, Here are the menus. Please take your time when ordering and I'll get back to you…" The Server had spoken to the pair as he eventually wandered off to leave the pair to decide on what to order.

"Woow, The food here looks quite good, I think I'll order the steak, rice, and water on the side" Anya had spoken out as she observed the menu before putting the menu tab down as she saw Calvin looking through the menu with great concentration.

"Wow, I never knew how handsome Calvin was until today. I know we're only hanging out as friends but this surely feels like a date…" Anya thought to herself as she saw him placing the menu tab down while he began to speak.

"I'm thinking of getting the same thing that you've ordered but I honestly expected a girl like you to go for the burger and fries route" Calvin had spoken to Anya as he laughed at his comment which made Anya laugh back.

"You're quite funny, I was thinking of that but I do need to eat more healthily as well so I'd figured I'll skip it for now…" Anya had spoken back to Calvin while the pair continued to laugh once more as they were clearly enjoying themselves as this went on for a good hour or so.

*4:45pm*

Anya and Calvin exited the restaurant with much pleasure due to the food that they've consumed.

"The food was so good, Thank you so much for taking me out like this, I truly appreciate it.." Anya had spoken to Calvin as she let out a huge smile which made Calvin smile back.

"You're welcome, I just wanted to know you more and we haven't been hanging out as much but I'm glad to make your day however It seems I must take my leave but I had a wonderful time with you" Calvin had spoken back as the pair gave each other a warm hug before releasing each other.

"Well, I guess I'll be heading back home now but I hope to see you again soon so I hope you have a wonderful night. I had a good time as well" Anya had spoken to Calvin once more as she and Calvin waved each other goodbye before going their separate ways.

"I actually had a good time with Calvin. I might have to something in return for his birthday…" Anya thought to herself with a smile on her face as she proceeded to walk her way back home with yet another day to remember for a long time.
