(Summer and Birthday Plans)

*May 20th, 1941*

*12:15pm*

It was a very beautiful sunny day as Anya and her friends were having lunch at school while discussing plans for Summer break which was in two weeks.

"So, does anyone have plans for summer break? My family is going to San Francisco to visit my Aunt Maria, Uncle Bartok, and my little cousins so that should be quite fun" Anya had asked everyone as her question was met with sounds of amazement as Nancy began to speak.

"Wow, that's so sweet. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful and safe trip but as for me, I'm going back to Scotland to attend extra classes for the break so my summer is gonna be quite eventful" Nancy had spoken back to Anya and everyone else as everyone seemed to be surprised by this revelation.

"You're going back to Scotland? That's quite interesting but I hope that you'll enjoy your stay there but how come you have to take summer classes? You seem like a good student academically so it's quite odd that you have to go to Scotland for that reason?" Charlotte had asked her friend in a tone of curiosity while she waited for an answer.

"Oh It's nothing too bad or anything. It's just a way for me to further my education experience for my career but I'm gonna be back around August but I'm hoping that everything goes well for everyone else" Nancy had answered back as she was met with Charlotte and everyone else nodding their heads in understandment.

"I see, well, I hope that your summer goes wonderful as well and as for me, I might just stay home and try to stay cool" Charlotte had spoken once more to Nancy as her friend nodded her head in understandment while Mai began to speak.

"Oh yeah, Anya, How did that date with Calvin go yesterday? I recall that you told us that on Monday…" Mai had asked her friend as she saw that Anya was blushing with embarrassment.

"N-No! Nothing of the sort! Well, according to him at least but we're just hanging out as friends and nothing else but our little outing was quite good" Anya answered back in an embarrassed tone of voice while Mai innocently giggled to herself in the process.

"Oooh Okay, I was just making sure but it seems that Calvin still harbors feelings for you cause I remember you telling me that he asked you out before…" Mai had spoken back to her friend as she let out a smile while Charlotte watched everything that was going on before speaking once more.

"I think the same way as well but I was also thinking we should throw Nancy a birthday party before she leaves since we won't be able to contact her at all once she leaves during the summer" Charlotte had spoken out to Mai and everyone else as her request was met with a rather enthusiastic response from everyone.

"Oh! You guys seriously don't have to since It's gonna be more unnecessary stress on you guys but I truly thank everyone for the consideration" Nancy had advised everyone as she quickly felt Anya's hand gently touching her shoulder which made Nancy turn her direction towards her friend.

"You sure? We obviously don't want to force anything on you so we'll leave the answer up to you" Anya had advised her friend as Nancy spent a good few seconds thinking about her answer before speaking once more.

"I'm sure but I just don't want anything too major that's all. Maybe just a small birthday party…" Nancy had requested back to everyone as her requests were met with nods of approval from everyone which made her smile.

"Wonderful, then we'll take things easy from this point. I can even invite Emma and Mary if they're not busy with school or anything but I'm truly up for this" Charlotte had spoken to Nancy in full support while everyone else agreed to her statements.

"She's right, I was thinking of telling Russell, Carrie, and Calvin as well if they're up for it but regardless we should definitely throw you a small yet wonderful birthday party before you leave for the summer" Anya had spoken out as Charlotte let out a gasp of shock which startled everyone.

"Charlotte, anything okay? You seem quite surprised at something?" Nancy had asked her friend while she waited for her answer as Charlotte began to speak.

"I realized that Anya's birthday is also coming up as well and I still haven't figured out what to buy her!? The next couple of days are gonna be eventful for me.." Charlotte had answered back in a shocked time of voice as everyone sighed with relief.

"Oooh, we thought something serious happened but I'm glad to know that it wasn't anything too major but it's nice Anya's birthday is coming around the corner as well" Nancy had spoken back in relief as the girls were finished up with their lunch which prompted them to clean up.

"Say, do you guys wanna study at the library for the time being? I'll be sure to write everything down in my notebook regarding Nancy's party so you guys won't have to worry about that" Anya had asked everyone as her answer was met with nods of agreement as the gang got up from the lunch tables and proceeded to throw their trash away.

"Okay! I guess that's settled then! We'll throw the party for Nancy before she and Anya both leave for the summer. I'll also go back on my word and try to invite Emma and the others over but let's talk more about it during the weekend, okay?" Charlotte had advised her friends as she and everyone else made their way towards the library while Anya simply stood there.

"Crazy how this year went by so fast, So many changes happened such as me and Charlotte gaining more friends and Emma going to this school for the next year but pretty soon we'll be graduating from high school and moving on to bigger things so for the time being, Enjoy this company, Anya…" Anya thought to herself with a smile on her face as she eventually walked over to her friends with a desire to create more wonderful memories for her friends before their high school years were up.
