*Alamo Square, San Francisco, California*
Anya and the rest of her family had finally arrived at the vacation home which her uncle and auntie were currently at as everyone was excited for the summer that was to come.
"Woow, The view is really swell here, I can see the entire city from here!"Anya had spoken out in awestruck as she had taken a few pictures with her Kodack 35 camera while her family nodded their heads in agreement.
"I must agree but Maria, Bartok and your cousins should be here any moment so in the meantime, you and Fredreick should hang around at the park over there while me and your father gets settled in" Anastasia had advised to her children as she and Casey proceeded to bring their belongings to one of the victorian houses while Anya and Fredreick did the same thing.
"I wonder if I'm gonna bump into Patrick this time around since he likes to visit here but I shouldn't worry too much about him" Anya thought to herself as she chuckled to herself while continuing to make her way upstairs as she opened the door to reveal the empty room.
"I guess this is where I'm staying for the summer but I must admit that the room looks rather cozy than the place we went to last year" Anya had spoken to herself as she settled her suitcase on the ground as she started to unpack her personal things before leaving the room once more as she could hear her mother's voice being called out.
"Anya, Frederick! Family is here!" Anastasia cried out to her children from downstairs which prompted Anya to quickly head downstairs as she could see Aunt Maria and Uncle Bartok greeting their family along with their 4 children.
"Hello! It's wonderful seeing you guys again. How's everything been going?" Anastasia had greeted her sister and Bartok in a joyful tone of voice while giving them hugs.
"We've been doing great, Just taking care of our kids and other adulting stuff but I can see that you're doing great with your two kids as well so that's something good to know" Maria had answered back with a smile on her face as she and her husband had entered the house.
"Wooow, This place looks quite beautiful, I heard this place has six rooms as well so spacing shouldn't be an issue but let's get settled first than we'll all catch up" Bartok had spoken out as he had taken the chance to look around the home as he turned his direction to see Anya which caused him to smile.
"Hello, Uncle Bartok. It's been quite sometime since we've seen each other. I hope that all is well" Anya had greeted her uncle as she walked over to hug him while Bartok returned the favor.
"It's nice to see you, my wonderful niece! I've been doing quite well and Be sure to greet your other cousins as well but of course It's gonna be hard for Linda since she's rather shy however she'll lighten up" Bartok had spoken back to his niece as this could be heard by Linda.
"Father, I'm not shy. I just don't like people, That's all and you know this as well…" Linda had spoken out in a rather defensive tone of voice which caught both Anya and Bartok by surprise as Bartok simply chuckled.
"Don't worry, She's just in a bad mood today but she's still a nice girl but I don't wanna waste your time any further so be sure to speak to your cousins, okay?' Bartok advised his niece as Anya nodded her head while he walked over to where the others were at leaving Anya with her cousins.
"Heyy, Remember me? I'm Cousin Anya. I hope that you can enjoy your stay here but if not, know that this summer is just gonna get better for you, okay?" Anya had greeted Linda as she was met with the young girl sticking her tongue out at her.
"I don't care, I just wanna go home already. I don't wanna meet new people" Linda had spoken to Anya in a more defensive tone of voice as she walked past her cousin to go upstairs as this left Anya surprised.
"I wonder what was her problem? Oh well, I should not dwell on it too much but why is Linda in such a grouchy mood? She's never like this from what I can recall…" Anya had spoken to herself as she felt someone giving her a noogie which caused her yelp in surprise as she looked over to see her Cousin Alexander.
"Linda just hates people and there's nothing we can do about that but I think she might be sharing a room with you so that could be the reason…" Alexander (19 years old) had spoken to her as he smiled while Anya stared back at him in confusion.
"Hello Cousin Alexander. It's a pleasure to see you but I don't think Cousin Linda sharing a room with me could be her source of resentment but I don't wanna push her buttons right now so It's best to leave her be" Anya had advised to her cousin as she was met with him nodding his head in agreement.
"I was gonna say the same thing but changing the subject, How was school been on your end? I've heard that you slapped Judith and oooh boy! She was quite mad" Alexander had asked his cousin as he chuckled at the very thought while Anya shocked her head in denial.
"I've been doing good in school and I didn't slap Judith, It was one of my friends and she deserved that slap if you're asking me but how did you know about that? You know Judith or something?" Anya asked her cousin in a tone of curiosity as she waited for her answer.
"Oh really? I thought that's what happened but I know one of Judith's friends but don't worry, I don't mindlessly agree with every little thing that she says" Alexander had answered back while chuckling to himself yet again while Anya did the same thing.
"Good, but I'm gonna check on Cousin Linda, okay? I'll feel bad if I just leave her alone" Anya had spoken back to her cousin while Alexander nodded his head in approval as he saw her walking up stairs.
"Talking to Linda is like talking to a brick wall at times…" Alexander thought to himself as he walked over to talk to the rest of his brothers.
*Anya's Room*
Anya opened the door to her room to see Linda sitting on one of the beds with a rather sour face.
"Hey, Is everything okay? Just want to check up on you and all '' Anya asked her cousin as she was met with no response from Linda which prompted her to walk closer to her cousin.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Linda yelled out in annoyance which caused Anya to stop in her tracks as the mood turned tense.
"Cousin Linda, I can't control how you feel but please know that if you want anyone to talk to or hangout with during the summer then please know that I'm here for you, okay?" Anya advised her cousin which prompted her to turn around to face her cousin.
"Stop, Just stop. You're just pitying on me because I'm a loner but that's not gonna work on me so just stop harassing me and leave me alone…" Linda advised her cousin as this prompted Anya to simply nod her head to avoid making Linda even more grouchy.
"Okay, I don't wanna harass you any further but always know that I love you so much and that you are always welcome to hangout, okay?" Anya had spoken back as she left the room while closing the door behind her thus leaving Linda alone once again.
"Love me? Stop lying to yourself. You are just like the others. False premises and false words just to toy with my emotions it's not gonna work with me…" Linda thought to herself as she continued to sit on her bed with hopes of going back home.
*Living Room*
Anya was walking downstairs with many thoughts in her head regarding Linda.
"I can see that Linda is hurting. It's gonna take time but I hope that I can reach out to her before summer's end…" Anya thought to herself as she was motivated to reach out to her cousin before it's too late.
