LUCY'S POV

"Hey Igneel! I'm ready for another training!" I called out as I wandered towards where the fire dragon normally spent his time. But when I looked around, there's no sign of him. "Igneel!" I called again as I looked around, but there was nothing there. I start to panic and yell out his name. "IGNEEL! IGNEEL, WHERE ARE YOU?! IGNEEL!!!" I ran as I desperately looked for Igneel, but no luck. "...Dad...don't leave me..." I fall to my knees, crying my eyes out, gripping on the red necklace and white cloak I wore.

I woke up in a cold sweat panting as I stare at the celling. "That dream again" I muttered. "At least it wasn't the other one"

I look out the window seeing it's morning already. I get up from bed and got ready for day. I look at the mirror checking out my outfit. I was wearing a white shirt, a red crystal necklace on my neck, black pants and boots. Lastly I buckle my belt on that, along with keeping my pants up, holds my celestial spirit keys. I keep my long blond hair in a side ponytail. After my foster father Igneel disappeared, I started doing some random jobs to earn money for food and shelter. I didn't have a real home so I moved from place to place, spending my nights in either a forest, small hotels or inns. I picked up my backpack and slung it on my shoulder. It had everything I needed on the road. I thanked the inn keeper and headed out for the journey. I had heard of some trouble about girls going missing in the next town, Hargeon and was planning to head there as soon as possible.

"Hey guys, guess what? Salamander strikes again" I heard a man talking to his friends.

"What happened now?" One of his friends spoke.

"Salamander defeated the dark guild, skeleton bone" he said.

"What! Those guys are super strong and he defeated all of them including their boss?!" his second friend said in disbelief.

"Yep, the mysterious dragon slayer has done it again" everyone laughed.

I smiled and kept walking. It took me two minutes to get to the train station. Man, I hate transportation. "HELP! SOMEBODY HELP!" I heard someone yelling and ran to the direction of the voice.

"Give us your money or it won't be good for the both of you!" I saw a group of bandits robbing a couple, they were about seven of them. Some civilians tried to help but they were all afraid because these guys have weapons and magic. Well if they can't help them, I can. I went to a corner and look around checking for anyone. When I saw no one, I quickly remove my backpack from shoulder and open it, pulling out my jacket and cloak. The jacket was red in color and the cloak was white and has red outlines. I quickly wore the jacket and slung the backpack on my shoulder, before wearing the cloak and covered my face with the hood. I ran out of the corner and headed towards them as fast as I could.

One of them noticed me and his face paled. "I-It's S-Salamander!" He stuttered in fear.

"WHAT?!" The leader yelled. "Damn it, I didn't expect this!"

"Salamander?! Hell no, I'm not dealing with him!"

"What do we do, boss?!"

"Isn't that obvious?! ATTACK!" The leader ordered.

One of them fired lasers from his hands. "Laser strike!" I dodged just in time before the lasers hit a bench. I lit up my hands and swung a flaming fist at him, he flew to a street light and broke it making the street light to fall on top of him. Then they all charged at me and started throwing their fists filled with magic, I dodged every single attack. I lit my foot on fire and kicked one guy on his stomach which pushed him back.

"Haha! That didn't even hur-" he got down on one knee and started coughing blood, maybe I over did it. I decided to kick him again knocking him out. I look behind me and saw three more coming. I raised my hands up and gave them a fire dragon wing attack, knocking them down. I didn't chant my magic because I didn't want anyone to recognise my voice. I gave the rest a fire dragon roar and they were all unconscious.

"Tch! You think you're so tough! Huh, Salamander?!" The leader yelled. His hands glowed and two swords appeared on his hands. "Requip magic?" He charged at me with anger in his eyes. I dodge all his attacks as he swung his swords at me. This made him frustrated and with a yell, he moved back and switched to a bow. "I'm gonna kill you!" He starts firing arrows at me which I dodged successfully. I engulf my fist in flames before I launched myself towards him.

"Fire dragon iron fist!" I exclaimed inwardly as I thrust my flamming fist forward. Before the man could react, it smashed into his gut. He let out a gasp as saliva came out from his mouth. My attack thrown him back and crashed into a wall, bruised and unconscious. "There is still one left" I thought as I saw one guy left. He got into a fighting position and I started walking towards him. He started shaking, I got close to him and he got down on his knees.

"Please don't hurt me! I-I...I give up! I give up! I-I'm sorry! I will give them back the money!" he said. He went to the couple and gave back the money. Then he took a rope from a basket and said. "I-I'll tie myself and my friends up. D-Don't worry about stressing yourself S-Salamander sir" After a short while, the gang were fully tied up and everyone cheered.

"SALAMANDER, YOU ARE AWESOME!" Someone yelled.

"Please sign my autograph!" a woman said.

"So cool!"

"I wonder who is he?!"

Before the crowd could come close to me, I ignite my feet in flames and propel myself out of there. I looked down and saw that the train had already left. I feel happy that I don't get to go through that hell and unhappy cause it was fastest way to get to the other town. I entered the forest and land on the ground.

Dragon slaying magic, this is a special type of magic that can only be acquired through training from a dragon. I was taught fire dragon slaying magic by my foster father Igneel, the fire dragon god. This magic provides me with dragon like properties such as breathing fire, eating fire and layering my body parts with fire and using them like a dragon. Sometimes I would wonder why Igneel would teach a human dragon magic that can kill a dragon.

After helping get rid of some bandits, thieves and dark guilds in towns, I got the nickname, Salamander. People refer that to me because they didn't know my real identity and due to my fire magic. It was an old man who gave me the nickname after I saved him from a fire attack. He said I reminded him of the mythological Salamander who is immune to fire. Soon the whole of Fiore had heard of the exclusive fire dragon slayer which is me. However, everyone thought I was a man which was weird at first. Eventually I got used to beating up criminals with the white cloak Igneel gave me to mask my identity. Outside of this outfit, I'm just plain old Lucy Dragneel who was desperate to join fairy tail, my dream guild.

I took a deep breath and start walking on the path. Remembering that I have a town to help. "Here I go" I felt a hand on my shoulder which made my blood cold, I looked back and see Loke behind me "Loke, don't scare me like that" I snapped. "I thought someone saw me"

He laughed. "Why do you still hide your identity?"

"I'm used to it"

"Come on Lucy, it won't hurt"

"No means no"

"Okay, whatever you say" he said with a grin. "I came to accompany you Lucy, if that alright with you?"

"Yeah, that's okay. Just go back to the celestial world when we've reached Hargeon" I said. He nods and we start walking.

Loke real name is Leo the lion, I gave him that cause it suit him. I started remembering everything from the time my mother taught me celestial magic and gave me the keys of Aquarius, Capricorn, Loke, Virgo, Cancer and Taurus. To the day she died and since then, my father was abusive towards me. I couldn't take it anymore so I ran away and later found by Igneel. I look at the red crystal necklace he gave me.

"Little child, why are crying?" I look up and saw a red dragon. I gasp in surprise. The dragon didn't look scary so I answered.

"My father is treating me badly, I couldn't take it anymore" I started crying again.

"I sense magic within you" he said. "What is your name, little one?"

"Lucy. My magic allows me to summon celestial spirits" I answered.

"You will stay with me then. I will teach you my magic, even though you are celestial wizard" He said with a smile.

"R-Really?" I stuttered.

"Yes" he picked me up. "From now on, your name is Lucy dragneel"

"Thank you" I said as I hugged his head.
