(Overprotecting Mother)
*September 10th, 1941*
*10:12 am*
*Highlands High School*
It was gym class for Anya and the others as they were walking across the track while discussing things.
"So, how are you liking Highlands High so far? I hope that it's treating you well" Anya had asked her friend as the pair continued to walk the track as Allison began to speak.
"It's pretty okayish so far but the only thing I have to worry about is my mother since she can be a bit overprotective but other than that, I have nothing to worry about…" Allison had answered back while Anya nodded her head in understandment.
"That's nice to hear and parents can be like that as well but it's not like she's gonna come to the school or anything so you should be good.." Anya had spoken back as Allison's expression was a mixture of nervousness and worry.
"Yeah, I hope so but how's things going on your end.." Allison had spoken back to his friend while looking over to see a middle aged woman approaching them which caused him to blush in embarrassment.
"Is that your mother? It seems like she's coming towards us" Mai had spoken back in curiosity as her question was met with the young boy nodding his head in embarrassment which surprised her.
"Allison, Honey! I came here to see if things were going to be wonderful for you!" Allison's mother (a middle aged woman with brown hair, a bit plump) had spoken out in a rather cheerful voice as she approached her son as this caused Anya to speak.
"Good Morning, My name is Anya and I'm a friend of Allison's so it's nice to meet you" Anya had spoken out in a polite tone of voice towards her with a smile on her face as she reached her hand out for a handshake as she looked over to see Allison with an embarrassed look on his face.
"Mother! I told you not to come here! I'm safe and sound so please don't make me or my friends uncomfortable" Allison had advised his mother as he directed her to leave the site however the woman wouldn't move an inch.
"Absolutely not! I am your mother and I must protect you from anyone who dares to harm you so I'm gonna stay right here until you get back to your class" Allison's mother had spoken back in defense as this caused Allison to sigh in annoyance as he and the others began to walk.
"Hey, I don't mean to intrude in stuff like this but aren't you making your own son uncomfortable? If he wants privacy then you should respect it.." Anya had advised the woman with a concerned look on her face as she waited for an answer.
"Privacy? A child should be able to share everything that they do to their parents and I'm respecting my son by showing him the nurture that he needs but My name is Mrs Conway if you're wondering…" Mrs Conway had spoken out an offended tone of voice as she and Anya continued to stare at each other before the silence was broken by Mai.
"Anya and Allison are right, It's best to respect the child's wishes but I'm also not the one to argue so all we could do is just plead with you" Mai had chimed into the conversation while Mrs Conway shook her head in shame.
"Allison, it seems that your friends are quite the bad influence on you so I order you to unfriend them right this instant but don't worry, I'll find you some good and obedient friends…" Mrs Conway commanded her son as she was quickly met with opposition from him.
"No, These are my friends and I'm actually having a good time during school so you can't make me unfriend them" Allison had spoken back in defiance as this caught the woman by surprise as this was one of the rare times her child had talked back.
"E-Excuse me?! How dare you speak to your mother like that?! You are grounded for two weeks!" Mrs Conway had spoken back in a more commanding tone of voice as she waited for her son to say his piece while Anya attempted to speak however she was stopped by Mai.
"Mom, I'm sixteen years old. I know you're trying to protect me but I want you to respect my boundaries and stuff, okay? I know who not to trust and who to trust and It's nice that you are looking out for me but please just let me be more independent…" Allison had spoken out to his mother as this caused the woman to look down in shame before speaking up once more.
"Oh dear, I remember when you were obedient but now you are being more and more defiant by the day but if these girls truly make you happy then I guess I shouldn't complain…" Mrs Conway had spoken out in defeat as she was quickly met with a hug from Allison which made her smile.
"I hope you can now try to understand and respect your son's wishes and don't worry, we won't hurt Allison or anything" Mai had spoken out to Mrs Conway as she let out a smile and a thumbs up.
"You know, One day you started to dress like a girl and then you are standing up to me. You are truly growing up, my sweet child but this doesn't mean I'm gonna stop being overprotective or anything, It just means I'm gonna be more calm with it but I should be going now so I'll let you be with your little friends" Mrs Conway had spoken back in a motivated tone of voice as she released herself from the hug as she looked over to see Anya and Mai smiling at her.
"So, You must be Anya and you?" Mrs Conway had spoken out once more to the girls as she waited for her answer.
"My name is Mai. It's a pleasure to meet you" Mai had answered back as she and Mrs Conway shook hands which made Allison smile.
"Mother! You gotta meet my other friends as well and their names are Emma, Charlotte, Nancy, and Carrie!" Allison had spoken out in joy as this revelation caught his mother by surprise.
"W-Wait?! You got more friends?!" Mrs Conway uttered out in surprise as this caused Allison and her friends to chuckle at her comment.
"Of course and they're all nice to me as well so please don't worry too much about it" Allison had spoken back which caused his mother to smile as she started to depart for home.
"I'm glad to hear but I should be going now and don't be afraid to telephone me if you need anything, okay?" Mrs Conway had advised her son while waving goodbye in the process.
"I will and thanks for understanding where I was coming from but Hope you have a good day mother!" Allison had spoken back in joy as she and her friends waved Mrs Conway goodbye as they saw her walking towards the exit of the track.
"Oh! I gotta introduce you to Calvin and Claudia one of these days but they go to Jackson Academy so we'll have to wait until the weekend" Anya had spoken to her friend as this made Allison smile with joy.
"You sure have a lot of friends!" Allison had spoken out as she let out a small laugh which was followed by Anya and Mai joining in as well.
"I sure do, It's what keeps me going…" Anya had spoken back as the three friends continued to enjoy their wonderful day together.
