In spirit of the new Percy Jackson TV show I'm going to be posting a new one shot or drabble set in the Lightning Thief either before or during it. A long with this, the characters are going to look like they do in the trailers. Unless of course they aren't in the trailer then they will look like they did in the books.

Summary: He glanced at the child once more. That cemented his plan, the plan he hated. Set before the Lightning thief.
Day 1
Sally was a good woman, a gentle and kind spirit that didn't deserve to be placed in a situation like this. It hurt him, having to do this. He loved her, and that was the problem. If he stayed like he wanted to, he would place the child and Sally in danger.
Under the fury of his brothers wrath, either one of them, or possibly both.
He couldn't do that. He just couldn't. His heart ached as he left his final gift to Sally, a conge shell, which was a personal joke between them, and a letter of far well. He tiptoed over to the bassinet and rubbed the baby's fingers for the last time.
The child stirred, and opened his big blue eyes,
"Shh." He whispered.
The baby blinked, and the boy's father smiled gently at him. And rocked the bassinet until the child fell asleep again.
He gave one last look around the small cabin, before with great sadness left in a soft poof of salty mist.
