So… I wasn't expecting to make a Sequel but I was playing this scene in the DLC and really wanted to get my thoughts out to Kieran, but sadly the game would not let me as I am both not actually the player and stuck behind the wall of a silent protagonist. But if you must know, I did pick "Let's do it together!" but I wanted more than that. While big speeches are certainly cheesy, I think that this fits super well as Pokemon itself is also cheesy. So… Have what is a sequel to my oneshot "You've Changed" from two months ago.

And I'm Proud of You

Terapagos towered above them all and unleashed yet another blast of dazzling, terrastal power down at the group with yet another primal roar from its deepest depths that shook the cavern they were in and caused the crystals around them to shine even brighter around them. It was blinding, it was deafening, it shook them all to their very cores and yet… they were all still standing.

The young trainer from Paldea had come a long way in their journey, from visiting the Zero Lab above all those months ago to now facing the true treasure of the crater right before them. But with their entire team downed and only Ogrepon as the last one standing, they could only look on in wonder at the great turtle above. With every shift in their typing, the entire team had been torn apart, even with Carmine's assistance and cycling through Ogerpon's different masks, the great turtle tore through each and every one of them, along with the rest of his team's terrastalizations, as if they were paper.

"Ogerpon!" The Paldean trainer had called out in worry for their Pokemon as they watched the cornerstone mask shatter into a million pieces before them.

The poor ogre groaned at this, trembling before the power of the mighty beast before them, but still very carefully held strong. Battered and bruised and reverted back to its original form, it did its best to give a reassuring smile. "P-pon!" She nodded back to its trainer, looking expectantly at them. They knew that she could not take much more of this.

The trainer knew that it was nearly over, that whatever may happen next would potentially result in the fate of everyone in this cavern and perhaps the region or world itself if Terrapagos were to escape and unleash its power. They could tell Ogrepon understood that much too, so had the rest of the team that had fallen in battle from the sheer power of the Pokemon's might.

"Si, mi amiga…" They gave just as shaky of a nod back to the ogre and produced the teal mask from their pack. They threw it over to Ogrepon, who caught it and bore it before the glistening Pokemon.

"Ogrepon!" It shouted, voice still unclear and very winded, but Terrapagos met it with another roar.

Briar despite the danger around her couldn't help but marvel at the mighty beast before them. "In all my years of research, I could never comprehend the raw power that Terrapagos would present! Even after so many blows, so many terrastalizations, it's still able to absorb the energy with even more reserves to spare! Such power…"

Carmine on the other hand looked at the situation before them, her eyes widened in complete and utter terror. Like her friend, she took one look at Ogerpon could tell that the poor Pokemon was not going to make it through this alone.

So once again, she took those terrified eyes to the direction of her brother, the only one who really could do anything at this point.

Hands clasped together in desperation, she pleaded with the boy once more. "Kiki! Our friend is in trouble! You have to do something, Kieran!"

But Kieran could only watch in stunned shock at the battle taking place before him. In his pursuit to become much stronger, he had doomed them all. Trapped in this terrastal tomb of his own making, he had endangered not only himself but his teacher and his sister. It was all because of him and his obsession to not only be the best but to beat his rival… His… former friend who even now stood amongst it all issuing commands to the ogre he had once adored to protect them all.

Taking all of that in, he understood just how unworthy he was, not only of Ogerpon but of the Paldean and even Blueberry Champion before them. He didn't have that, he wasn't strong enough…

"But I- I can't… I can't help anyone!" Kieran shouted.

"Yes, you can!"

Both siblings were startled by the sound of their friend's voice as they stood before them both. They didn't dare look away from Ogerpon, but their voice clear as can be and directed at the young trainer who's eyes could only widen in further shock.

"Kieran!" They continued. "You have come such a long way since Kitakami! You honed your strength and became an even better trainer than I had ever hoped. When we fought over Ogrepon back then, you lost and my starter hadn't even evolved yet! But now look at you, champion of Blueberry Academy! When we battled for that spot, you not only took out the near entirety of my team, but you nearly had me in the end before I pulled through. You constantly had me on the ropes and I was so happy that it looked like we both had our adventures and became the strongest of our friends, that you found your own power! You've become so much better and I am so proud of you for that!"

Kieran's mouth now hung low at the words uttered by their former friend. Even after everything, how harshly they had treated them in the BB League, they were still the one supporting him and happy for him at how far he had come. How he had done everything he could to become stronger, even if it was all because of how much he had wanted to make them suffer, how much he had wanted them to kneel at his feet, to have their dreams crushed like he believed they had done to him. To finally just get his payback and yet… They seemed to still be his biggest fan…

"I just wish you didn't hate me so much for this!" They gestured to Ogrepon who once again produced their stick and unleashed an Ivy Cudgel at the turtle. "I'm sorry about all of this! Ogerpon, Terrapagos, heck even everything at Blueberry! I'm really really sorry! I should have never taken so much from you!"

And it was true, he remembered the pain and furry that he felt when his Hydrapple's terastal power and his championship rank shattered before his very eyes at the Blueberry Academy. He remembered how he swore vengeance against them, for taking the ogre from him and the battle before the dreaded den and the lies that both they and his sister had told him. How he had grown to hate so much… But… he also remembered smiles together underneath their homeland's sun, laughs shared at the festival and how warm and inviting they had been the entire time and how… he had come to really care for them too. And how, even at Blueberry they still tried, they still greeted him with smiles regardless of how harshly he had treated them.

Terra energy absorbed into their orb when Ogrepon struck once again, barely making a dent on the crystalline barrier that Terrapagos had ushered before it. The Paldean trainer took a quick peek at their Terra Orb and saw that it was in fact still charging, they'd have to wait a little longer. They were quick to command Ogerpon to dodge the incoming blast that was to come and it just barely managed to jump to the side.

"I don't hate you!" Kieran shouted back. "And you didn't take anything from me… You won fair and square and I was just a sore loser who couldn't take it! Not with Ogrepon and not back at the Academy! I'm sorry too! All of this was stupid!"

They still didn't look back, but Kieran could see the hint of a smile on their face, as well as… I- is that a tear rolling down their cheek…? Kieran had wondered. Everything was so bright that they just couldn't tell.

"Then let's both forget about all of that and focus on the now!"

Finally, they turned back to them, one eye still towards their fighting Pokemon while the other was towards Kieran. They could clearly see the tears streaming down their face juxtaposed by the proud smile directed towards him. "Kieran, let's do it together!" They proposed waving him forward before returning to the battle.

For a moment, he hesitated. Fist trembling at his side, he remembered the anger and frustration at how he had been too weak for Ogrepon back then, too weak to have beaten them in the BB League… And now, he was facing the potential for weakness again. But no more, not this time. He would be strong, he would be brave just like them.

Unfortunately at the same time, Ogerpon had kneeled, utterly spent by the battle before it as the mighty Pokemon charged up yet another blast. "P-pon…" the old scorn of Kitakami panted as Terrapagos charged more Terrastal power for a finishing blow.

"OGERPON!" The Paldean trainer cried out in fear for what they knew was coming next.

But Kieran would simply not allow that. "HYDRAPPLE!" Kieran roared with a fury unlike any of them had ever heard from him before as he tossed his Pokeball up in the air.

The sweet apple Pokemon erupted forth from the Pokeball with a roar of its own, landing next to Ogerpon and immediately produced sticky sweet nectar from its maw that landed atop Terrapagos.

It met its mark and stuck right where the turtle Pokemon was charging its energy, ready to be unleashed upon them. But in response, the nectar heated and began to expand before it burst in a violent explosion that made Terrapagos roar out in pain.

The Paldean trainer looked in relief as Kieran stepped up next to them, a look of determination on his face.

"Together."

Ogerpon shakily rose to its feet to stand next to the Hydrapple who looked on at it concern, but it gave a curt nod.

The Paldean trainer smiled, wiping the tears out of their eyes as they now stood next to Kieran. "Together."

With both trainers and Pokemon standing side by side. They glared down the luminescent beast before them and began their attack.

With their feud behind them and friendship restored, it was time to end this.

And there we have it. So admittedly, this serves as a sequel to my oneshot as well as a short novelization oneshot of the battle with Terrapagos. I finished the DLC two days ago and last night, this kinda came to me and I said I needed to write it. I don't intend to do the full battle or really anything else, because my main focus was on resolving what was left in "You've Changed" and I think I did a pretty decent job. A bit wordy? Yeah. But I still hope that it was enjoyable.
