(Farewell, Cynthia)
*September 26th, 1941*
*10:15 pm*
Thirty minutes had passed since Anya had sung to the crowd while disguising as Cynthia as everyone was celebrating by having dinner in the dining area of the Lincoln Theatre.
"You did amazin! You have such wonderful singin skills, Nancy was truly right about you" Cynthia had spoken out in joy while sipping on some wine as her comment made Anya smile warmly.
"Thank you, I'm really glad that I was able to join you guys tonight but, I was also wondering why you guys still wanted me to sing in Cynthia's place despite me being in trouble?" Anya had responded back in a curious tone of voice while waiting for her answer as Mrs Miller began to speak.
"Well, we've wanted you to have a good time despite my daughter ruining your night yesterday so in a way, we wanted to ensure that you have one of the best nights in your life" Mrs Miller had responded back as this made Anya smile warmly.
"Oh yeah, Calvin was also worried about you as well since the news managed to reach him as well but, He also told me to tell you that he had really enjoyed your singing as well" Nancy had spoken to Anya before taking a bite of steak from her plate as she waited for Anya's response.
"Really? That's wonderful to hear and I'll be sure to tell him thanks and everything that happened as well so you don't have to worry about that" Anya had spoken back as there was a knock on the door which prompted Cynthia to respond.
"You don't have to knock, It's not like we're changin or anythin" Cynthia simply uttered out in response as the doors opened to reveal Judith and Neville who had rather angered expressions on their faces.
"Mother! How could you! Why are you taking Anya's side and not your OWN daughter?! You do realize that she's only doing this for selfish reasons?!" Judith had cried out to her mother while Neville nodded his head in agreement to what his cousin was saying.
"I'm taking Anya's side because you only did this for selfish reasons and not to hold her accountable, right? You and Neville only wanted make Anya's life more miserable in revenge for getting sent to boarding school for the summer, right?" Mrs Miller had questioned her daughter and nephew in a stern tone of voice while Anya and the others watched the entire confrontation as Judith began to speak.
"Oh, mother, unlike father, you don't listen to me as much. Anya and her dumb friends are always ruining my life! It's Anya's fault that Calvin isn't friends with me anymore. It's ANYA'S fault that I got sent to boarding school for the entire summer which caused Megan and Lisa to hang out with me less due to whatever they had going on! You just don't get it! I HATE her! I just want her to DI-" Judith had cried out as the last part of her rant was quickly cut off by Anya who had used the time to get up and use her hand to cover her mouth.
"You don't mean that, don't you?" Anya had asked Judith while releasing her hand from her mouth while waiting for an answer.
"N-No, It's just at certains times but, why do you care? You've ruined my life as it is so I don't understand you.." Judith had responded back while Anya quickly began to speak.
"I didn't ruin your life, If anything, It was mostly due to your own pettiness born out of spite and jealousy and that was the reason why Calvin isn't your friend and why you got sent to boarding school for the summer and I care because I just wanna put an end to this once and for all" Anya had spoken back while Mrs Miller nodded her head in agreement as she began to give her two cents as well.
"She's right, you don't have to be the bully but rather someone who is kind and loving, You are my daughter so please know that no matter what, I will always love you with every fiber of my being, and same goes for Neville" Mrs Miller had advised to her daughter and nephew while Cynthia and the others watched the events that was unfolding as Judith began to speak.
"No, I personally like being a bully who brings pain and suffering to others but I guess you win this time BUT, this doesn't mean that I won't my revenge on you so you better be ready, Anya" Judith had spoken back with tears in her eyes while turning turned around to leave the dining room while ignoring her mother's words.
"We'll be back, just you fools wait and see…" Neville had simply uttered out while leaving the room with his cousins as the doors had closed behind them.
"I feel like there's no point in convincing Judith to change her ways but let's just not let that ruin our night, okay? It's a big night so let's celebrate until we pass out drunk! Well, mostly me…" Cynthia had spoken out in a joyful tone of voice as she popped open a bottle of champagne which quickly lighten up the mood in the room while Mrs Miller walked over to play some music on the record player as everyone celebrate Cynthia's final night in New York as Anya walked over to Robert who had a glass of wine in his hand.
"Robert, Um, I just wanted to apologize for everything. I should have been honest with you from the start with who I was so I hope that you are willing to accept my apology but It's okay if you don't.." Anya had apologized to Robert in a sympathetic tone of voice as she was met with a gentle smile from Robert as he began to speak.
"It's okay, I was just upset because I've felt like I've been lied to and mostly because of the identity crisis ordeal and Cynthia being cold towards me but we had made that up and you seem like a good person so I mostly forgive you.." Robert had spoken back in a calm tone of voice which made Anya smile back.
"Thank you for accepting my apology. I know this isn't your fault so please don't feel bad as well but, I also wanted to say that It was wonderful meeting and talking to you, You are truly such a gentleman.." Anya had spoken back to Robert as she looked over to see Cynthia approaching the pair with a glass of wine in her hand.
"Heyy, how yall doin! You're not flirtin with my man, aren't you?" Cynthia had asked in a drunken tone of voice as she felt rather tispy while Robert quickly held her so she won't fall while Anya watched with laughter.
"Oh no, We're just chatting away, that's all. Nothing too major" Anya had responded back in a playful tone of voice as she and Robert shared a laugh together while, meanwhile, Nancy and Mrs Miller were chatting amongst themselves regarding Judith etc.
"So, what's next? Are you still grounding Judith or are you gonna talk to her?" Nancy had asked Mrs Miller while sipping on some apple cider as she was met with a nod of confirmation from the woman.
"Yes, my daughter needs to learn a lesson for what she's done, however, the choice is ultimately up to her father and you may know him as the dean of Jackson Private Academy but I'll be talking to Judith in the morning" Mrs Miller had responded back which made Nancy smile.
"Well, either way, I hope Judith and even Neville could just change their ways in the near future…" Nancy had responded back as she and Mrs Miller shared a small smile together as the pair continued to chat amongst themselves for the reminder of the party.
*Theatre Hallway*
Judith and Neville were walking across the hallway with disappointed looks on their faces.
"Damn that Anya! Damn her to Hell! I'm gonna get back with her, one way or another!" Judith screamed in defeat while slamming her fists against one of the walls while Neville nodded his head in agreement as he began to speak.
"We will, It's just gonna take awhile but we're gonna get Anya back…" Neville had responded back in agreement as the pair continued to walk towards the front doors in sheer defeat while Judith had one more thing to say.
"You're right, stuff like this takes time and practice so the victory is only gonna taste sweeter once I make Anya's life a living HELL" Judith had spoken back as she managed to crack a smile meaning that she had new motivations to continue terrorizing Anya and her friends.
*11:40pm*
One hour had quickly passed as Anya and Nancy were saying their goodbyes to Cynthia and her crew.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye, It's honestly been such a crazy last few days but I felt like I've made new friends and I'll be forever grateful for that" Cynthia had spoken out to Anya and Nancy as she gave both of them hugs in the process.
"Same here, I guess this is goodbye as well but I've honestly had a good time with you and I hope we can see each other in the future" Anya had spoken out as she let out a smile while Nancy nodded her head in agreement.
"I agree with Anya, I had a great time hanging out and getting to know you during these last two days as well, but don't be afraid to write to us from time to time, okay? We would love to talk with you more so don't be afraid to reach out" Nancy had advised Cynthia as she was met with a nod understandment from her friend.
"Thank you so much, I'll definitely keep that in mind since you two honestly are the best" Cynthia had spoken back in an excited tone of voice as she entered the vehicle while Robert began to say his goodbyes as well.
"Goodbye, Anya and Nancy. It was quite swell in meeting and getting to know you guys so I wish nothing but the very best in you guy's future endeavors" Robert had spoken to the two girls as he had shaken both of their hands.
"Goodbye as well, Robert. Don't be afraid to write to us, okay? You are just as good a friend to me like Cynthia is, so always create new memories with us together, okay? I'll miss you two so much" Anya had advised him as this made Robert smile.
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.." Robert had spoken back while letting out a smile before entering the vehicle.
"Goodbye everyone, I hope we can all have a hangout like this in the future and next time, I'll invite the rest of my friends as well!" Anya had spoken out in joy as she saw the vehicle drive away into the night thus leaving the two girls alone with Mrs Miller who was waiting in the car.
"Whew, what a week, and we still got homecoming as well!" Anya had spoken to her friend as she took a huge sigh of relief while Nancy smiled back.
"I agree, I'm definitely gonna take this weekend off by resting but, let's go head home for the night, okay?" Nancy had spoken back to Anya as she entered Mrs Miller's vehicle while Anya smiled.
"Maybe I should take a break from everything as well for the weekend and maybe I should talk to Calvin since I haven't seen him since like, summer!" Anya had thought to herself as she had taken one final look at the sky before entering the vehicle as she knew that this certain adventure had come to a happy and satisfying end.
