Chapter 2: Chaos

NATSU'S POV

It been years since I joined this stupid guild, fairy tail and I'm still not used to it. I hate it, can be annoying at times especially when they start brawling. Technically I didn't join the guild by choice at first, the old man forced me to join, I'm pretty sure anyone would see it as kidnapping. The only reason I'm still here is because I'm searching for my foster father, the dragon king Acnologia who disappeared in the year x777. I was taught chaos dragon slaying magic by him. It's a special type of magic that can only be acquired through training from a dragon.

"Come Happy" I said after drinking my beer. I stood up from my usual seat on the second floor. Happy just finished eating his fish and flew next to me. Happy is my only friend. I found him a few days after Acnologia disappeared. He's the one of the few people in the guild who didn't care who my father is and we've been best friends ever since.

"You're going out?" Said the Requip wizard, Ezra who was looking at a flier while eating a strawberry cake. I answered with a grunt. "Alright, see ya" she said and walked away. Ezra Scarlet, a S-Class wizard like me, but I'm stronger than her. We're not friends...no, she's just basically part of the few people I could tolerate unlike the rest.

When we walked out of the guild, I felt people staring at me, probably relived that I'm leaving but I don't care. "Where are we going Natsu?" Happy asked as he sits on my shoulder.

"Hargeon. I heard a rumour that Salamander has been there for a few days and I think he knows where my father is?" I replied.

"Aye. Let's hurry before we leave" he said and rest of the trip was quiet. Happy knows I don't like to talk unless necessary.

We reached Hargeon the next day and walking around aimlessly for any clues on Salamander. From what I've heard, this dragon slayer was raised by a fire dragon and is known for saving a lot of towns and fighting dark guilds with that fire power. I also heard that Salamander is a quiet and reserved person, no one has seen his face, he wears a red jacket and a white cloak. He would do his work and quickly leave to avoid attention. So why would he come to a town like this? I don't know but I have a bad feeling about this.

"Stingy old man only knocked off a thousand jewels" I hear someone grumble. It was a blond haired girl wearing a white shirt, black pants and boots. She also has a backpack with her. She was walking in my direction looking a little annoyed, but quickly faded when she noticed me.

"Excuse me, could you hel-" she starts to talk and I just ignored her, not wanting to deal with people right now. My main objective is to find Salamander.

"Hey, hello!" She called out, I didn't respond and kept walking.

"Natsu, maybe we should have hear her out" Happy said. I gave him a deadpan look which shut him up. He knows fully well I don't do people.

"Hurry up! I heard Salamander is here!" I hear a girl yell to her friend.

"Who's Salamander?" Her friend asked.

"Are you kidding me? You don't know who Salamander is? He's that famous fire dragon slayer remember!" The girl squealed.

"Oh! That Salamander! How could I forget?!"

I follow the girls that were looking for Salamander and noticed a crowd of women. As I pushed my way through the crowd, I saw a tall man with purple hair posing. "Please ladies, one at a time" he said making the girls squeal.

"This is Salamander" I thought, arching an eyebrow. Happy and I gave each other a look before turning to this Salamander. Something is definitely wrong here.

"Is that Chaos?" I heard a woman say as I approach the man. They all backed away, but didn't run away yet because of Salamander.

"Who the hell are you?" I demanded.

"Who am I?!" Salamander said shocked. He flipped his hair and said with a smug smirk. "I am Salamander. Surely you've heard of me before?"

"Really? The Salamander I know doesn't use love charms to pick up girls" someone said.

Everyone including me and Happy turned their attention to the newcomer, it was the blond girl from earlier. She crossed her arms as she stare at Salamander. She looks bored, but I can see the anger in her eyes. It took me a minute to drag my eyes away from him. I looked at Salamander again, that's when I saw the charm she was talking about. He was wearing two rings on his right hand and I recognized them.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Salamander said nervously while the crowd of girls growled. I glared at Salamander. He has a lot of nerve to say that when the evidence is right on his fingers. Suddenly all the girls turned on Blondie and started yelling at her, but she didn't seem affected.

"Take off your rings then" Blondie said.

"What?" He asked in confusion and panic.

"You heard me, take them off. The rings you're wearing are love and sleep charms, so if you take off the rings, the charms should stop working. This will also prove your innocence if you aren't using a charm" Salamander looked perplexed, the girls looked expectant, I was surprised for a second before covering it up and Happy didn't hide his surprise.

Salamander was now sweating, seeing he's in a tight situation. "W-Well I gotta go now, remember I'm having a party at my ship and you're all invited!" He starts backing away, purple flames was surrounding under his feet.

"I don't think you're going anywhere, Bora the Prominence" Blondie said walking forward as the man's eyes widen in fear.

"Bora the Prominence...no wonder he looks familiar!" Happy exclaimed.

"And you're just telling me this!" I hissed.

"You got kicked out of the titan nose guild because of your bad behavior" she growled in anger while cracking her knuckles. "You're not Salamander, you're just a regular fire wizard. You use a good wizard's name to get women so you could trade them for money! For that, I won't forgive you!" The fake Salamander starts running and Blondie chases after him. He tried to shoot her with fireballs, but she dodged them all. She immediately turned around seeing the fireballs came towards the crowd of women. "Get down!" She yelled. All of them dropped to the ground as the fireballs flew over their heads while Happy and I dodged them.

Blondie growled in anger and bolted after the fake Salamander. Before he could escape, she grab him by the collar and start beating the hell out of him before finishing him off with a kick to the face, sending him tumbling to the ground. "Feisty one I see" I thought before sighing in frustration.

"Dammit! That Salamander was just a stupid imposter. Looks like we came all the way here for nothing" I complained.

Happy flew over to me. "I'm sure we'll find him some day, Natsu. Besides if Gajeel and Wendy didn't know where Metalicana and Grandeeney went, then Salamander probably won't know where his dragon went either. There's also the possibility that he's like Laxus that has a lacrima implanted in him"

I huff. "Fine. Let's go, Happy" we were about to leave when Blondie called behind us.

"Wait!" She ran over and grabbed my shoulder. I shot a glare at her which didn't seem to scare her.

"What do you want?" I spat.

"I noticed your guild mark and salmon colored hair, you're Chaos from Fairy Tail, right?" She asked.

"So what if I am?" I said glaring at her.

My answer only made her smile brightly. "Cool! I've always wanted to join Fairy Tail. It's my dream guild"

I raise an eyebrow. "So you want me to take you there?"

"Yeah!"

"No" I said and began walking away.

"Aw c'mon man! Just help me out!" She exclaimed as she hurried after me.

"Do I look like a map to you?" I said coldly.

"Come on Natsu" Happy said smiling as he flew in front of my face. "We're going home so let's take her with us since she wants to join Fairy Tail"

I sigh. "Fine!" I turn my attention to Blondie. "Are you a wizard?" I asked.

"Yes, a celestial wizard" she nodded with her eyes not meeting mine.

"So you handle spirits eh? Whatever just don't-"

Suddenly, the fake Salamander got up and charged at us. "You bitch! Who do you think you are?! Ruining my business for me!" He shot a stream of purple flames at us. I whipped my head to Happy in worry. Before I could react, the Blondie carried Happy and dodged his attacks. I mentally sighed in relief that Happy didn't get hurt. A purple fire was coming at me and I swatted it away with a flick of my wrist. Fake Salamander's eyes widen in horror. I growled in anger, this bastard tried to hurt Happy, he is dead!

"It seems the beating I gave you wasn't enough. I'll just-" I stood in front of Blondie before she was about to move. I narrowed my eyes at the bastard who was shaking in his boots.

"Chaos dragon cannon" I said as I clasped my hands together, my magical seal appeared and a large apocalypse magic ball shot at him. The attack hits the bastard, sending him crashing to a wall. He was burnt and badly injured.

"Y-You a-are Fairy Tail's chaos dragon..." he said before passing out. Since we've created a scene, it won't be long before those Rune knights shows up.

"That was cool" I hear Blondie muttered while she was carrying Happy. I was surprised by what she said, but I didn't show it. She knows who I am and yet shows no sign of fear. This woman might be interesting.

"You guys coming?" I asked as I began walking.

"Aye!" Happy said as he flew to me. I noticed that Blondie was still standing there. I sigh and I stopped and turned.

"Coming Blondie?" I asked. she blinked before smiling and nodding and hurrying after me.
