Juvia Meets Happy
Juvia feels like she's going to throw up. In less than fifteen minutes, her boyfriend, Natsu - her boyfriend ! ! ! - is coming over to visit with his cat, Happy.
Natsu's been over to her place a handful of times since they started dating four months ago, but this is the first time that he's bringing Happy over. While Juvia generally likes cats - Panther Lily and Carla both seem to like her - meeting Happy is different. Happy's been with Natsu since he was a teenager and has been through a lot of his highs and lows. Like his breakup with Lucy. She's heard that cats can usually distinguish between good and bad people, and while she likes to believe that she's a good person, she wants Happy to like her. To show him that she loves Natsu and would never hurt him. Which explains why she's been frantically cleaning her apartment from top to bottom. To impress a cat.
A knock on her door interrupts her frantic thoughts. "Juvia! We're here!" Natsu's voice calls from the other side of the door.
"C-Coming!" She stutters, nearly tripping on her slippers as she rushes to get the door. "Hi - oh!" Juvia gasps at the sight in front of her as she swings the door open. Because in front of her is her boyfriend holding a bouquet of forget-me-not's whilst cradling his cat. A truly adorable sight.
"We're here! Happy brought you flowers." He grins, handing her the bouquet.
"Oh, it's beautiful! Thank you so much, Happy-san!" Juvia giggles, accepting the bouquet as she hovers a hand towards the blue cat. Her heart pounds as he sniffs the hand offered in front of him, and it is only when he leans his head toward her for a pet does she finally breathe.
"Aw, see? He likes you!" Natsu's grin grows wider as he closes the distance between them, leaning in for a kiss. A quick one is all they can manage, as Happy starts whining for attention.
"Sorry, Happy-san." Juvia giggles as they break apart. "Come in, Natsu-kun, Happy-san! Juvia made lunch." She ushers them inside her apartment.
"I thought I smelled something good! Whatcha making?" Her boyfriend asks, setting Happy down as he goes to take off his sandals.
"Juvia's making steak and mashed potatoes!" She calls from the kitchen, where she fills an empty glass with water for her flowers. "Oh, and Juvia has some pieces of tuna for Happy-san."
"Sounds great!" Natsu smiles as he joins her in the kitchen. "Happy's going to be happy - he loves fish."

"Ne, Happy-san?" Juvia whispers. The couple had been eating lunch whilst watching a movie and Natsu had promptly passed out after eating one too many servings. Which explains why he and Juvia are curled up on her couch in an entanglement of limbs and blankets with Natsu being the little spoon, snoring away.
"Meow?" The blue cat meows back, looking at her quizzically from where he is sprawled across Natsu's midsection. Juvia wonders briefly how Happy is managing to hang on - Natsu is hugging Juvia as if she was a pillow, with one of his legs thrown against her middle.
"Juvia...Juvia loves Natsu-kun. Very much. And Juvia...Juvia won't ever hurt him." She knows that it's silly to confide into a cat about all of this, but she just wants Happy to know just how much Natsu means to her. "Juvia knows that Natsu-kun had a hard time before and...Juvia doesn't want to see him like that ever again."
The feline stares at her for what seems to be like an eternity before he meows, giving Juvia what seems to be a smile.
She laughs, gently. "Thank you for your blessing, Happy-san." She whispers, gently petting the top of his head, to which he purrs in response.

There is movement on the couch, which promptly wakes Juvia up. She blearily opens her eyes to find Natsu looking back at her, phone in hand.
"Hey." He grins at her, kissing her forehead.
"Hi." She whispers back, smiling widely. Kami, how she adores this man. "What's the phone for?"
"You and Happy looked so cute sleeping together I just had to take a picture." He explains, showing her the picture of a sleeping Juvia and Happy, with Juvia hugging Happy. Wait, what?
"Wh-What?" Juvia startles, looking down. And sure enough, there was Happy, napping in her arms.
"Told ya he likes you. He doesn't cuddle with just anyone." Natsu flashes her his signature toothy grin.
She smiles back, thinking about the 'conversation' that she had with Happy. "Juvia thinks he trusts her." She runs a hand over the feline's head, feeling rather than hearing him purr in his sleep.
Yep. She thinks she and Happy will get along splendidly.
Juvia Meets Lisanna
"Trust me, Juvia, you're going to love Lisanna. She's been excited to meet you ever since Erza came to visit." Natsu flashes her his signature toothy grin as he swings their entwined hands back and forth. They are currently seated at a yogurt shop in front of a mall, waiting for Lisanna. While she would normally find the gesture endearing, the butterflies in her stomach overpower his adorableness and all she can feel is sick.
"Ju...Juvia's still scared." She could hardly get out. And she thinks she has every right to be nervous.
Lisanna is Natsu's childhood best friend and they have been through a LOT together. From playing with each other as children, to their transition from childhood to young adults, to puberty, to their first days of school, the list can go on. Point being is that they have a history while Juvia is just starting to get to know Natsu. That and she's heard lots of stories about guy and girl best friends having jealousy problems when the other starts dating. What if Lisanna's upset at Juvia for 'stealing' Natsu away from her? What if she steals Natsu away? What if -
"Don't be." Her boyfriend smiles, kissing her forehead. "Lisanna's like the nicest person I know. She'll love you. Which, speaking of..." He turns his attention back to the front of the shop. "Oi! Lisanna!" He calls, standing up from his seat.
"Natsu!" A silver-haired girl with short hair approaches them, a warm smile on her lips. She and Natsu hug before she lets go and turns to face Juvia, who had been standing up from her seat. "Oh, you must be Juvia-chan! It's so nice to finally meet you! Natsu wouldn't stop talking about you!" She beams as she gives Juvia a hug with Natsu sputtering in the background. The hug catches the bluenette off-guard- because while Juvia should be grateful that her boyfriend's childhood best friend is a lot more welcoming and friendly than she expected, all that the bluenette could focus on is Lisanna's words.
"I-It's nice to meet you too, Lisanna-san." Juvia manages to get out before Lisanna releases their hug. "N-Natsu-kun won't stop talking about me?"
"You would not believe how much Natsu talked about you." Lisanna rolls her eyes, but there's fondness in it. "Every conversation we had, I swear, he would always bring you up somehow."
"Lis!" Natsu shouts, blushing. Lisanna laughs in response as she teases him while Juvia is rendered speechless - she's too busy smiling to do much else.

"Lisanna-san is very nice." Juvia says, swinging her and Natsu's interlocked hands. The meeting with Lisanna just finished, as the silver-haired girl had to leave for her vet internship at the animal hospital. Before she left, however, she and Juvia exchanged phone numbers and she invited Juvia to come to girl's night with her and her girlfriends next week. The bluenette tried to polite decline, thinking that it would be awkward but Lisanna wouldn't have it - the silver-haired girl insisted that all of her girlfriends would love her and were just as excited to meet Natsu's girlfriend. Juvia ended up agreeing.
"See? Told ya so." Natsu grins, raising their interlocked hands to drop a kiss on Juvia's hand. "You had nothing to worry about - I'm pretty sure she already liked you way before today."
"Eh? How?" Juvia looks at her boyfriend, confused.
"She says that she saw how happy you made me before...everything." He waves his free hand as gesture for everything that happened between them before it led to them becoming a couple. "And that anyone who made me happy is a friend of hers." Natsu lets out a gentle smile. "She's wrong though. You don't just make me happy - you make me complete."
Natsu Meets Gajeel
"Gajeel-kun, please be nice. He really is different from - "
"That's what they all say." Gajeel grunts to which Juvia sighs.
Seeing that Juvia's already met some of the most important people - and cat - in Natsu's life, it was only fair that Natsu got to meet the most important people in Juvia's life. Which explains why Gajeel and Juvia are at a coffee shop, waiting for Natsu. Levi couldn't make it because of an important meeting for her club, but she had sent a text message earlier where she sent all of her love to Juvia and her boyfriend and to tell him that if he hurts Juvia he'll have to go through her and Gajeel.
"Gajeel-kun." Juvia scolds. "Juvia is serious! He's really - oh! There he is!" The bluenette stops in the middle of her sentence when she spots her boyfriend! "Natsu-kun!"
"What the fuck?" Gajeel blurts out, his gaze shifting from Juvia to Natsu, who is making his way over to where the best friends are sitting. "Ameonna, please don't tell me you're dating - "
"Yo, Juvia!" Natsu interrupts Gajeel, grinning as he leans forward to kiss her forehead. He turns to Gajeel. "Oi, what are you doing here?"
"Ameonna, please don't tell me you're dating...him." Her best friend ignores her boyfriend's question and practically hisses out the last word, looking pained.
"Hey! I'm right here, ya know!" Natsu pouts. "Hey...wait a minute. Juvia, is he your best - "
"Oh Kami, you are dating him." The pierced male interrupts, groaning. "Why? Just...why?" Her best friend sighs. "Really? Him? His head's empty as shit - there's nothing in there but food. If he starts thinking too much, his head's going to catch on fire. You could do so much better - "
"Hey!" Juvia and Natsu exclaim at the same time, offended.
"I can say the same thing about you, ya know!" Natsu jumps in, childishly. "You're so grouchy and tough all the time. Juvia could do so much better with a new best friend - "
"Stop!" Juvia blurts out, interrupting the bickering. "Juvia is confused - how do Natsu-kun and Gajeel-kun know each other?"

"That wasn't so bad, right, Gajeel-kun?" Juvia looks shyly up at her best friend. The meeting with Natsu and Gajeel ended an hour ago when Natsu had to leave for class, so it is now just the two best friends.
"Still think you could do better." Gajeel harrumphs.
"Gajeel-kun..." The bluenette sighs, scolding.
"Seriously, Ameonna, my cousin?" The raven-haired man nearly spits out that last word.
...
As it turns out, Natsu and Gajeel are cousins. Which shocked Juvia, because she never thought that the two could have been related in any way. But despite being family, Gajeel had no hesitations when it came to Juvia.
"I don't give a fuck if we're family, if you hurt her in any way, I will kill you." Gajeel growls out, glaring daggers at Natsu.
"I wouldn't hurt her." Natsu answered immediately, matching his cousin's gaze. The two had what seemed to be a long and intense staring contest before Juvia broke it up.
...
"Juvia didin't know that you and Natsu-kun were cousins!" Juvia throws her hands up in the air in exasperation. "But anyways, Gajeel-kun, Natsu-kun really is a good - "
"I know he's a good guy." Gajeel interrupts. "I know he'll treat you well and all that. It's just...It's weird. My best friend and my idiot cousin are dating."
"Don't say mean things about Juvia's boyfriend, Gajeel-kun." The bluenette scolds. "Juvia doesn't like that."
"Kami, you're so love-dovey, it's sickening." He groans. "But you better let me know if he hurts you. I meant what I said when I'll kill him if he hurts you."
"Juvia loves you too, Gajeel-kun." Juvia smiles as she throws her arms around Gajeel's neck, feeling as if she could cry at any given second. She truly does have the best friend in the world. "Juvia will let you know. Juvia tells you everything."
"Get off of me." Gajeel grumbles, but there is no malice in his voice and he doesn't push her away. The sound of the bluenette's phone vibrating breaks them apart from their hug.
"Oh, it's Natsu-kun!" She exclaims, as she reads the text message her boyfriend sent her. "Oh! Juvia has to go now, Gajeel-kun, Natsu-kun invited Juvia to spend the night at his place." Juvia quickly gives Gajeel one last hug as she haphazardly stuffs her phone into her purse, rushing as she runs off to who-knows-where.
"Spending the night at his place?! OI JUVIA LOCKSER, YOU GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW YOU HEAR ME?!"

(12/19/23): Hello, hello! Thank you so much for making it to the end of this extra chapter and to the end of my nonsensical chapter! This was just something small and fun I wanted to do as a way to officially end this work! And what better way than to see Juvia and Natsu meet the other's important people/cat in their life!
(Here are some things that happen at the end of this chapter that I didn't have time to write but wanted you all to know because they are very Important™️):
1. Happy and Juvia get along VERY well - Happy enjoys being around Juvia more than he does Natsu, which makes Natsu a little jealous but also happy that his girlfriend and his cat get along well.
2. Juvia goes to the girls' night Lisanna invited her to and meets Lisanna's and Natsu's friends - this includes Mirajane, Erza, Cana, etc. Juvia gets along swimmingly with the rest of the girls and is deemed one of the girls.( Lisanna is a girl's girl - I don't make the rules ( ˘︹˘ ) )
3. When Levy heard that Juvia was dating Natsu, she is extremely excited. She and Juvia gush about Natsu together which irritates Gajeel.
4. Natsu brings Juvia to the next family reunion to meet all of his cousins. His other cousins include Wendy, Laxus, Sting, Rogue, etc. Juvia gets along well with Wendy and is reunited with Carla and also gets to know that Laxus is Lisanna's self-proclaimed future brother-in-law - he's dating Mira.
