Charles opened his eyes.
He was in the lucky 38, he saw an auto doc treating him and saw he had a cybernetic arm and he couldn't see from his right eye.
Iris's securitron saw Charles' eyes open.
She went up and said
"You awake my love, just rest you must be tired let the autodoc fix you." Iris said with a voice of relief
"What happened Iris?"
"Once you get fixed up I will explain everything, right now just rest."
Charles got his arm and eye fixed but due to the fatigue he fell asleep.
He woke up again and Iris was there in her securitron form.
"Ok since you are awake again I will explain everything Charles."
With a sigh Iris said
"Ok, so it's been 2 weeks since you've been out, the first time you woke up it had only been 6 days. Karl and Joseph made Big Sal and Nero run, and get this the Omertas who were loyal to big sal and Nero thought they were safe because Big Sal and Nero destroyed the camera footage but we took a look at Cachino's journal and it told us everything and it told us that they were going to poison the strip so we dodged a bullet there."
"Wish I saw the look on their face anyways who's the new leader of gomorrah now Iris?" said Charles
"Don, he is one of the highest ranking officers and he wasn't on Cachinos list."
"What happened to that receptionist TIna, she was one of the informants."
"Oh yeah she did help us in taking out the omertas, she's been promoted I think to 2nd in command may seem extreme but she's one of the only people we can trust."
"I think it was warranted, she's been giving us lots of info even if she is paid and with the events at gomorrah of course nobody would dare mess with us again."
After that looked and saw he had a cybernetic arm that was completed.
"Yep, the explosion hurt you pretty bad. That part of the arm is just metal but here let me get the second layer."
In her securitron form Iris walked to the desk and got the other cybernetic layer of the arm that almost looked like an armor piece for Charles's arm.
"Here let me place it on your arm."
Once on the arm it looked less like metal and more like armor.
"The second layer makes the arm more durable but I did some tests and tried my best to keep the stability but the stability isn't gonna be as good with your old arm of course so your accuracy won't be as good but it will be acceptable Charles, better than the average person because I know your skill."
"And you may have noticed you can see with your right eye, it's a bionic eye so the colors might be a bit weird but it should be fine."
"Goddamnit fine, this was the only option the omertas gave me no choice." said Charles
"Wait, what happened at Gomorrah love, you blew up the pip boy and risked your life with that action why?"
"Damn Omertas surprised me and Joseph, I mean I told you it was just a fiance thing to start small but now you say they were going to poison the strip. Anyways the main reason is that they had the leverage if they knew that Karl was coming and trust me they would have known because we had to bring securitrons and if we didn't it would be very probable that he would have been killed because even if we are the EONV feared as we are they still run the joint."
"I remember when we thought the liberty prime project was stressful back in the day but this, yeah but because we are enshrined with more duties we have to work harder to see our successes."
"Also college in CIT the first time I met you but they had to hide my identity as House's son, man I wish I could relive that, anyways enough about the past what have you been doing Iris?"
"Oh shit well in all honesty it's been pretty bad. The freeside people have mobilized against us."
"What the fuck, how did this happen."
"It's not all bad the outer region with the followers of the apocalypse camp and the NCR tourist hangout place which they now call Democratia is being attacked but Joseph and Karl are there with the IONV people you told to guard it but the freeside people are trying to get support from Westside."
"Well what about the House Follower squad of Leslie, Donald and Jacob?" said Charles
"They're at Mccarran so they can't deal with the leaders at westside, NCR are helping us though and more will come once the squad finishes their task at Mccarren, got that from the words of the NCR ambassador Dennis Crocker."
"And of course the central areas are relatively, the kings though mobilized have focused on the outskirts away from the inner region of the House Follower area and the Hq for them is relatively safe, same as the AONV area." said Iris
"They did write their declaration of Independence from New Vegas and expressed their wishes to form the Free States of Vegas without the strip of course, here is the document, I will display it on the securitron screen Charles."
Charles looked at the screen and it read
We in the organization of the Kings and the Freeside scions have not had our voices heard by New Vegas and the invading NCR. We have protested and protested for our liberties that are being excessively curved in the name of bringing in a population of NCR that seeks to replace on the basis that they bring in more money for the strip and Robert House and all his other organizations being the Casinos, EONV, IONV, AONV and the House Followers seek to perpetuate the oppression of the native people of freeside. WIth all these requests simple unanswered we have decided to fight for freeside's independence from the New Vegas Strip and also seek to liberate Westside and bring it into our new nation that will be birthed through smoke and fire, it will be called the Free States Of Vegas.
"Well finished reading it and it's all pretty much gone to shit so let me get out there." said Charles
Charles tried standing up but Iris pushed him down the bed
"Your not going to be going out to freeside now, to start off my love your father said you should investigate a brahmin baron who has been trying to find his son in the ultra luxe, Winston the NCR soldier and James are there which I believe you know and they haven't had any luck."
"Really this is a job for a baby but fine gotta do something light to start off."
"Try walking first to see if your fine." said Iris
Charles walked and it hurt a little bit.
"Just hurts a little bit Iris but I should be able to shoot and run so it should be fine."
"Ok well be safe then Charles because these families could do another plot on us, nothing good comes out of those casinos but if there is another plot bring justice but don't die."
"I haven't yet and I wont die now my love, and if these families try to screw us over one more time I will kill them all, i'm tired of it and I don't care anymore justice must be served by my bullet, hopefully the last time for these casinos."
