*Author's Note: Another Toby chapter and this features the return of Catman! Of course, Toby is just a fox who doesn't talk but we mostly see his thoughts*

It was another beautiful night in Manhattan New York as Toby was roaming Central Park as the young fox was captivated by its beauty.

"Wooow, this park is beautiful, I hope Nancy can take me there one of these days but I'm just a poor old fox" Toby had thought to himself while continuing to walk across the park until he had came across a young man sitting on one of the benches and it was nobody else but Catman as this surprised the young fox.

"Is that Catman?! I've heard plenty of stories about him, maybe I should approach him?" Toby had thought to himself once more as he made animal noises while trying to capture the man's attention as Catman noticed the noise.

"A fox! What's a small critter like you doing in this area! As a superhero! I must protect the innocent from dangerous areas like this!" Catman had spoken out with a tone of concern while Toby made some animal noises which the man found to be amusing as he picked up the fox and began to walk around the park which Toby found to be amazing.

"Woow, Catman sure is amazing!" Toby had thought to himself as he had seen the beautiful lights of New York illuminating the park which brought a smile to his face as he continued to make happy animal noises while Catman smiled at this.

"Beautiful, isn't it? This is the beautiful city that I always protect from criminals and other evil doers who may threaten the peace and safety of this city and I'm sure that you have someone you may want to protect, right?" Catman had spoken out to the fox as the man continued to show the fox around the area while Toby had thought about Nancy and how much her kindness meant to him as he vowed to protect her, just like Catman is doing to the good citizens of New York.

"You know, the reason why I'm doing this is due to that girl being murdered many years ago. I was pretty young when it happened and it motivated me to become a superhero! Someone who protects the innocent from harm and other such terrible things" Catman had continued to speak out to the young fox as this story made Toby sad as his thoughts had returned to his head once more.

"I see, so he became a superhero due to hearing about a tragic murder and how wants to ensure that this never happens again…" Toby had thought to himself as he felt a great deal of sadness as he made sad animal noises which made Catman hold him tightly yet gently as he continued to talk to the critter.

"Don't cry now, The past is the past; however, we must always create a stronger future! A future where everyone is happy, loving, and accepting of one another and I dream that we as humans can achieve that future.." Catman had spoken to Toby once again as his words pierced through the fox's heart as he suddenly remembered all of the good times he's had with Nancy as a smile formed on his face once more.

"He's right, I won't be able to live as long as the humans since I'm a fox with a lifespan of two to four years; however, I want to ensure that Nancy, whatever friends she has, and the rest of the people on Earth can have a good and happy future and I've even hear Nancy talking to herself about this as well…" Toby had thought to himself as he felt a sense of motivation rushing through him while making happy animal noises as he knew that being sad wasn't gonna change anything but instead, building a better future.

"There we go! Being happy and striving towards a brighter future is always the way.." Catman had spoken out to Toby for the final time as he had gently placed Toby in a safer area in Central Park where nobody would mess with him as this made the fox happy.

"Thank you kind sir! I wish I could repay you but I'm just a poor old fox.." Toby had thought to himself while feeling himself being petted by Catman who had a smile on his face as he was ready to depart from the scene.

"I shall take my leave now; however, always remember my words and I know you are just a fox but, I feel like you somewhat can understand me so I can't help but give good advice to you but for now, farewell!" Catman had spoken out to Toby for the final time as the grown man had taken off before disappearing into the night while Toby was left smiling.

"Goodbye, Catman. Thank you for cheering me up and thank you for providing me a safe place for the night, I will forever remember your kindness.." Toby had thought to himself as he slowly drifted off to sleep while dreaming about him as a human boy being embraced by Nancy.

The next morning had arrived as Toby had risen up from his slumber as he looked over to see Nancy chatting with Charlotte which made the fox smile as he quickly ran towards his friend.

"It's Nancy! I just knew I'll bump into her!" Toby had thought to himself as he made cute animal noises along the way which caught the attention of Nancy and Charlotte.

"Toby! You always seem to enjoy my company which is always fine by me" Nancy had spoken out in joy as she gently picked up Toby while hugging him as Charlotte watched everything with a smile on her face.

"Awww, He's so cute! So this is the fox that you've been telling me about, right?" Charlotte had asked her friend while gently petting the fox as Nancy nodded her head in agreement.

"Of course, His name is Toby and he's always been coming to my home lately but I wish I can take him in but he always seems to leave whenever I wake up so I'm just assuming he likes being in the wild" Nancy had responded back while Charlotte nodded her head in understandment.

"I see, well, I'm glad you've been taking care of Toby and I'm sure that he still remembers your kindness" Charlotte had reminded Nancy as this made Toby smile as he looked up to see the girl nodding her head in agreement.

"The girl is right, I don't want to be taken in or anything but It's just that your kindness always seems to bring me back; however, I just want to be able to tell you these things and that's my only wish, hopefully, It will come true.." Toby had thought to himself before closing his eyes once more while listening to Nancy and Charlotte chatting amongst themselves as also remember the words of Catman and how it pierced through his heart and motivated him to continue going forward, no matter the odds
