Hey guys, TheDoctor1998 here with another chapter. Last time we saw Cinder face off against Brock, and though the battle was difficult, she earned the Boulder Badge. In addition, we also saw Kakuna evolve into Beedrill during some training. Now, on with the show!

"Oh, Mt. Moon. Doesn't the name just sound romantic?" Misty asked her friends as they walked on the tail end of Route 3.

"Some scientists believe that a huge meteor crashed into the mountain back in prehistoric times." Brock added, having gone to Mt. Moon himself on various occasions. "It's called the Moon Stone, and some believe it to be where Moon Stones originally came from. Legends about it say that it's the largest of its kind in existence."

"Oh, what I wouldn't give to see something like that." Cinder muttered. "At least I can see the faint traces of Aura in those stones."

Then, the gang heard a human scream.

"Over there!" Cinder yelled, heading with her companions to the source of distress. When they arrived, they saw a man being attacked by a flock of eyeless bat Pokémon, which triggered Cinder's Pokédex.

"Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. A Poison/Flying Type.

Ability: Inner Focus

Hidden Ability: Infiltrator

Entry: This Pokémon lives in large groups within caves, and navigates through dark environments and tight spaces with echolocation. It hates sunlight, and prolonged exposure can burn its skin."

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Cinder yelled.

Pikachu immediately took action, and shot his electrical energies right at the bat Pokémon. The eyeless bats screeched in pain, some falling to the ground, but most retreating back into the cave.

Cinder ran up to the man on the ground. "Are you okay, sir?"

To answer her question, he jumped up and started hugging her tightly. "You guys are the greatest!"

"I-it was nothing!" Cinder tried to say as she stiffened while being suffocated by the man.

"I'm talking superfantabulistic!" The man ignored her pleas. "Two thumbs up, way up! The best rescue I've ever had!"

Pikachu had enough, and decided to shock the man with a low powered Thundershock. It wasn't nearly enough to hurt anyone, and the stranger was forced to take the majority of it. Sure, a little static jumped over to Cinder, but it wasn't anything more than the little shocks of affection that he gave her on a regular basis.

As this exchange was happening, Brock approached one of the fainted Zubat. It was the last one there, the others having recovered enough to the point where they could follow their brethren back into the cave. He'd decided to take pity on it, and quietly caught it in order to nurse it back to health.

The stranger got up quickly, much to Pikachu's annoyance. "They say that man's best friend is a Pokémon, and with you two I believe it." He said, adjusting his glasses.

"Erm, that's… nice, I guess." Cinder said, weirded out by the man.

"I'm so moved!" He continued. "Such friendship I thought I'd never see, when the Zubat began attacking me. I thought I was done for, when who should arrive? Two heroes, thanks to who I'm alive! I'm aliiiiive!" He shouted to the heavens."Thank you so much! Thank you!"

"Guess anyone can be a poet." Misty muttered.

"Did I mention how grateful I am?" He said, grabbing Cinder's wrists.

Cinder didn't like that, though, and quickly retracted her limbs. "Erm, yea, you did. Why did those Zubat attack you, sir?" She asked, wanting to quickly switch topics.

He gasped. "Never call me "sir"! My name's Seymour, Seymour the Scientist!" He then glanced off. "Knowledge, research, I'm Seymour the Scientist!"

Cinder and her friends simply stared at the crazy scientist. "What. The. Actual. Fuck?" Cinder muttered.

Seymour led the trio into the cave. "See, the cave is all lit up inside." He said, sadness clear in his voice. "Somebody has strung up these lights through the whole cave. But the Pokémon in this cave need the dark, these lights are upsetting and confusing them."

"So that's why the Zubat left the cave in broad daylight and attacked you." Brock realized.

"Look here." Seymour indicated. "These Paras are planting their mushrooms everywhere, and the hot lights are drying up the Sandshrew."

The first group of Pokémon consisted of orange bugs with a pair of mushrooms on their back, which they were planting everywhere on the cave's floor. Their appearance triggered Cinder's Pokédex.

"Paras, the Mushroom Pokémon. A Bug/Grass Type.

Abilities: Effect Spore and Dry Skin

Hidden Ability: Damp

Entry: This Pokémon is born with a pair of tochukaso mushrooms on its back, which share a symbiotic relationship by exchanging nutrients and allowing the usage of spores in its attacks. These mushrooms are popular among collectors and have medicinal uses."

The second Pokémon shared the basic body shape of an anteater, though had a much shorter nose and a hide that looked like bricks. It was lying down, obviously not in good health as it too triggered the Pokédex.

"Sandshrew, the Mouse Pokémon. A Ground Type.

Ability: Sand Veil

Hidden Ability: Sand Rush

Entry: This Pokémon spends much of its time hidden underground in deep burrows, only emerging to lunge and drag in passing prey. It can quickly curl into a tight ball to protect itself from great falls and opponents."

"That's why I'm here." The scientist continued. "On patrol to protect the mountain from the troublemakers' attack against these caves."

"Troublemakers?" Misty asked, surprised that people would come this far to cause trouble. "Why attack a cave?"

"I'm afraid it's either because of Mt. Moon's abundance of fossils, or the Moon Stone, or both." Seymour said, before smiling and going into his own headspace. "The Moon Stone is an awesome boulder, a million years old or even older. Deep in these caves the meteor hides, though no explorer has found the place of the legendary rock from space! We've studied its fragments for many an hour, and discovered it increases some Pokémon's power. And that is why the attackers are here, they've come to take the Moon Stone, or so I fear."

"Well, that or the fossils." Cinder said, still weirded out by the strange man.

"Ever since I was a little boy, I've believed that Pokémon came to Earth from outer space!" Seymour said with conviction.

"Oh great." Cinder said quietly enough for the madman not to hear. "He's a conspiracy theorist." Sure, she was aware that some species of Pokémon could trace their lineage to other celestial bodies according to some theories, but they were very much in the minority.

"And where, you ask, is the spacecraft that brought them to Earth?" The mad scientist continued. "In this cave! The very Moon Stone that's said to be here!"

"It sure is an… original theory." Misty said, clearly having her doubts.

"But don't you see?" He continued. "It means the Moon Stone belongs to the Pokémon! We humans must not take it from them!" Seymour then looked over to Cinder and grabbed her hands. "You agree with me, don't you?!" He asked in desperation.

Cinder pulled her hands away. "Well, if the Moon Stone exists, it belongs to the Pokémon."

"Clefairy, Clefairy!" They heard, watching as a pink Pokémon that was vaguely shaped like a star bounced by, holding a regular Moon Stone.

"It's so cute!" Misty exclaimed as Cinder's Pokédex got triggered.

"Clefairy, the Fairy Pokémon. A Fairy Type.

Abilities: Cute Charm and Magic Guard

Hidden Ability: Power Above

Entry: This Pokémon is very shy and rarely shows itself to humans, and can rarely be seen dancing under the light of the full moon. It returns to its nest in the mountains when the sun starts to rise."

"None of you are going to catch it, right?" Seymour asked, his tone clear that he wouldn't like it if they did.

"I don't believe in catching Pokémon against their will, so you've got nothing to worry about." Cinder said. "Though, if one of them wants to come with me, I don't mind."

"Clefairy!" The Clefairy yelled in fright from wherever she walked to.

As the quartet of humans ran after Clefairy, the girls heard an annoyingly familiar voice. "Don't be scared of Meowth."

"Oh great, not these idiots again." Cinder muttered.

To say Meowth was surprised to see the girls again was an understatement. "What are you doing here?!"

"Looking for troublemakers to kick their asses." Cinder bluntly replied.

"Is that a talking Meowth?" Brock stated, not having seen the miracle of biology turned criminal before.

"Yup." Cinder replied as Pikachu was calming Clefairy down. "Guess they're behind all this trouble."

"Trouble?" A familiar female voice asked.

"Make that double." Her partner replied.

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all people within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie." She stepped out of the shadows, holding a shovel.

"James." He stepped with Jessie, holding a pickaxe.

The duo then crossed their tools, the wooden handles forming an X.

"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth, that's right!" Meowth finished.

"They sure are showoffs." Seymour muttered, slightly jealous at how they'd managed to get a working motto.

Cinder merely facepalmed. "Don't you idiots get tired of saying the same thing over and over again?"

"You're just jealous, girl." Jessie haughtily said.

"Because we won't let you join us." James continued.

Cinder only snorted. "Like I'd want to be one of you scumbags."

"So it was you who put all those lights up!" Brock said, having gotten over seeing the talking Meowth. "Don't you know what those things do to the Pokémon here?!"

"Of course we do." The magenta haired woman said.

"How will we ever forgive ourselves?" The indigo haired man asked with sarcasm.

"We're trying to get our hands on some fossils to sell on the black market, and the Moon Stone so we can power up our Pokémon." Meowth explained, falling into a monologuing trap that all villainous people seem to fall into.

Cinder only facepalmed again. "You morons do know that Moon Stones only evolve some Pokémon, right?"

"You want a rock?!" Brock yelled angrily. "Take one of these and get lost!" He grabbed and threw one of the rocks on the cave floor at the criminal duo, who promptly dodged the projectile.

"How rude!" Jessie snarled.

"Let's teach them some manners." James said.

Cinder and Brock grabbed their Pokéballs, already seeing where this was going. "Keep an eye on Seymour and Clefairy." Cinder whispered to Misty. "Get them out of here when you can."

Misty nodded, understanding the plan.

Then, the criminal duo jumped off of the ledge they were standing on and threw their Pokéballs. "Ready or not!" They said in sync, releasing Ekans and Koffing.

"Butterfree, come out my friend!" Cinder called her butterfly.

"Here we go!" Brock yelled, releasing his new Zubat.

Cinder recognized the Aura of the bat Pokémon. "Isn't that one of the Zubat that Pikachu knocked out?"

"Good eye." Brock smiled, unaware of the irony of his statement.

"Koffing, use smog!" James commanded.

Koffing released his cloud of filthy gasses, causing it to flow down to the side of the cave where his enemies flew.

"Butterfree, Whirlwind!" Cinder called.

"You too, Zubat!" Brock said.

Butterfree and Zubat followed the directives of their partners, and both started flapping their wings as hard as they could, causing a powerful wind to blow the smog back to its sender.

"What the-" James exclaimed in surprise before coughing his lungs out after accidentally breathing in the gasses released by his own Pokémon.

"Good job guys!" Cinder complimented as Misty silently guided the helpless scientist away along with Clefairy.

Ekans and Koffing weren't too thrilled at having their attack blown back, so the two decided to take a little initiative, with the snake using Bite on Butterfree and the ball using Tackle on Zubat.

"Go, Supersonic!" Brock commanded, neither he nor Cinder noticing Meowth sneaking past the two of them.

Zubat started screeching a highly intense wave of sound at the opposing Poison Types, which started messing with their heads and making them confused. In the haze of confusion, the two teammates started attacking each other.

"Ekans, Koffing!" Jessie exclaimed, her displeasure clear.

"What's the matter with you?!" James continued, also slightly confused.

"Butterfree, use Whirlwind on all of them!" Cinder pointed at their opponents.

Butterfree flapped his wings like crazy once more, blowing both the Poison Types and their trainers away.

"It's time Team Rocket blasted off!" James yelled in panic.

"We'll be back for revenge!" Jessie yelled in anger.

Brock smiled at his younger companion. "Excellent teamwork!"

Cinder simply gave him a fistbump before frowning. "Wait a minute, where's Meowth?"

At one of the exits of the network of tunnels, the Clefairy with the Moon Stone jumped out into the daylight, followed closely by Misty and Seymour. "It's getting away!" The redhead yelled.

The duo followed the Fairy Type to a steep ledge, which they both started climbing. "Clefairy, come back!" The scientist called out.

"I've got you now!" Meowth yelled, having followed the humans to the Clefairy.

Clefairy, obviously scared, did the only thing she could think of at that moment. She jumped off the cliff and accidentally fell on Misty, who in turn fell on Seymour, causing all three of them to fall into the shallow river just below them.

"Alright!" Meowth yelled, swiftly climbing down the ledge and unsething his claws. "Give me that Moon Stone!"

"I-I'm sure we can be reasonable about this, Meowth." Seymour said, trying to avoid conflict.

"No, we can't." Meowth said, grinning about what he was going to do to the scientist.

"Not so fast!" Misty yelled, throwing a Pokéball to release a starfish-like Pokémon with a red gem at its core. "Staryu, Swift!"

It eagerly obeyed his trainer, shooting a barrage of star-shaped projectiles at the annoying feline before him. Meowth tried to dodge, but no matter where he went, Staryu's stars kept hitting him.

"Water Gun!"

Staryu pointed its uppermost limb at Meowth, and shot a torrent of water at the Normal Type. It put a little extra in the attack as well, causing Meowth to be launched away from the sheer water pressure.

"Bye, Meowth!" Misty called to the rapidly disappearing Pokémon. "Have a nice drip!"

"Is everyone alright?!" Cinder asked as she and Brock ran up to Misty, Cinder's Pokédex registering the starfish next to the redhead.

"Staryu, the Star Shape Pokémon. A Water Type.

Abilities: Master Instinct and Natural Cure

Hidden Ability: Analytic

Entry: This Pokémon will float up from the seafloor during the night, and align itself with the stars of the night sky as its core flickers. It can regrow any part of its body over time as long as its core remains intact."

Misty smirked. "We won't be bothered by Meowth anymore, thanks to Misty the Mighty and her amazing Staryu."

"Hiya!" Staryu exclaimed, proud of having dealt with the nuisance.

Cinder and her companions had decided to sit down now that the danger had passed, and the sun was starting to set when Cinder smelled something. "What's that smell?"

"Pokémon food, my own special recipe." Brock said, feeding his Zubat some kernels. "I've blended the ingredients for each of my Pokémon, as well as some more general food for each Type." He handed some to Butterfree and Beedrill. "This blend is made for Bug Types, with a little for Flying and Poison Types mixed in for each of you."

Cinder's bugs started eating from the food, and both of their eyes widened before they started eating like they never had before.

"I've been developing it for years, improving the recipes where I see fit." Brock continued. "I'll make a special batch for each of your Pokémon when I can."

"I'll try some." Seymour said, grabbing a kernel from the Bug Type can and popping it into his mouth. "Mmm, not bad."

"You, sir, are a strange man." Cinder said.

"Humans usually don't like it, but the Pokémon sure do." Brock laughed.

Pikachu and Clefairy were simply talking to each other, one talking about the adventures he's had with his trainer, the other about the ceremony that her people were about to perform. Pikachu said he was interested in it, so Clefairy decided to invite him and his friends. Pikachu immediately relayed the information as best as he could. "Pikapi!" He called to his partner and her friends, and the two Pokémon walked off, expecting the rest to follow.

XXXXXXXX

The sun had set, and the moon hung high in the sky as the group walked on Mt. Moon while trying to follow Pikachu and Clefairy.

"Where do you guys think they're taking us?" Cinder couldn't help but ask as they reached a clearing.

Misty answered the blind girl. "Apparently, they've taken us to another cave."

The group walked inside, and ended up within a larger cavern. The cavern had a giant hole in the ceiling, allowing a grand view of the night sky. But more importantly, the mother of all Moon Stones sat in the center of the cave, surrounded by many smaller Moon Stones.

"This feels like a dream." Misty said in awe.

"So the legend is true." Brock said, equally amazed.

"What's Clefairy doing?" Cinder asked, watching as Clefairy's Aura approached the massive Aura traces of the Moon Stone.

Clefairy put the Moon Stone she was carrying down among the ring surrounding the big Moon Stone, closing the last gap in the circle. The faint traces of Aura within the stones reacted to each other when the circuit closed, causing all of them to glow with a soft blue light.

When the Moon Stone started glowing, a bunch of Clefairy came into the cavern from other entrances, along with a bunch of other Pokémon that looked like small Clefairy, which triggered Cinder's Pokédex.

"Cleffa, the Star Shape Pokémon and the pre-evolved form of Clefairy. A Fairy Type.

Abilities: Cute Charm and Magic Guard

Hidden Ability: Power Above

Entry: This Pokémon is more active during nights illuminated by shooting stars, where it dances the night away while bringing good fortune to those who witness it. It is believed to have fallen from outer space on shooting stars.

Evolves into: Clefairy with high happiness"

"There's so many of them." Misty said, never having expected to see so many Pokémon of a species known for its shyness.

The Clefairy that they followed then walked up to them, waved and bowed her head to the group.

"I think she's thanking us for the help." Cinder said with a smile.

"Oh, look at them!" Misty said with joy, watching as the Cleffa and Clefairy danced around the Moon Stone.

"Amazing." Seymour said. "These Cleffa and Clefairy have formed their own society, what a sight!"

The Clefairy that guided them then decided to break away from the main group, and started dancing with Pikachu.

"Do you think they might be praying to the Moon Stone?" The scientist asked his younger friends. "Is it because it fell from the heavens?"

"Then maybe the legends are true." The redhead said. "Maybe the Moon Stone really did come from space."

"Of course!" The madman said, overjoyed. "It all makes sense now!"

"Erm, what?" Cinder said, obviously confused.

"Outer space!" Seymour pointed to the moon. "Pokémon!" He pointed to the dancing Fairy Types. "And the human race will ride the Moon Stone into space!" He said, drifting off in his own world. "First to the moon, then to Mars! Then to even the most distant stars!"

"Stars?!" Said Meowth. "That's our cue!"

"Oh, great!" Cinder said, exhausted at the idea that she's got to deal with the idiots again.

"You keep away from the Moon Stone, or else!" Seymour said, standing with his arms stretched in front of the group.

"Or else?" James asked, finding the scientist's "threat" to be amusing.

"I think we've been threatened." Jessie said, equally amused as her partner.

"T-the Moon Stone belongs to the Cleffa and Clefairy!" Seymour exclaimed, his body starting to shake in fear, "Not to you troublemakers! L-l-leave this cave at o-once!"

"What's that unusual sound?" James asked sarcastically.

"His knees are shaking!" Jessie said, laughing.

"Sounds like a wimp!" Meowth mocked.

"I'll show you!" Seymour said, charging at the criminals despite his fear.

Only for Meowth to trip him up with one of his legs. "Heh, did you have a nice trip?"

"My glasses!" Seymour said, practically blind without the lost item. "I can't see a thing!"

"Enough talk." James said, him and Jessie throwing their Pokéballs to release Koffing and Ekans.

"Pikachu, come out my friend!" Cinder said, causing Pikachu to jump in front of her.

"Onix, let's go!" Brock said, releasing the giant Pokémon, with Pikachu jumping in his head shortly after.

"Size doesn't matter!" Jessie said, confident she'd be able to beat the other serpent with her own. "Ekans, Dig!"

"Koffing, Smokescreen!" James commanded.

The Poison Types obeyed, and Ekans immediately went underground while Koffing released some gasses that obscured everyone's vision.

"Butterfree, Beedrill, Pidgeotto, come out my friends!" Cinder called, releasing all her Pokémon. "Butterfree, Pidgeotto, use Whirlwind! Beedrill, use Twineedle on that spot!" She pointed, already knowing where Team Rocket was due to their Aura.

Unfortunately, this time things did not go to plan, and the criminals and their Pokémon all went underground before Beedrill could strike them. By the time Cinder's Flying Types had cleared the smoke away, Team Rocket had disappeared with the Moon Stone.

"Onix, follow them!" Brock said. "Hurry, we can still catch up!"

Onix buried himself underground, following the tunnel created by Ekans as the others ran out of the cave to chase the criminals topside.

Well, except for Seymour, who was still looking for his glasses. "Dear me." He muttered as he saw a pink blur walk up to him. "I beg your par-? Oh! Thank you!" He said to the Clefairy who gave him his glasses back. "But why aren't you chasing after the Moon Stone?"

The Cleffa and Clefairy looked at him in confusion.

"The Moon Stone is sacred to you, isn't it?" He continued. "I-i-it's your responsibility to take it back from those robbers. Don't you understand?"

The lead Clefairy, the one who guided that nice Pikachu and his friends here, nodded.

XXXXXXXX

Meanwhile, the Rockets were sliding down the hill with the Moon Stone strapped to a carriage, Jessie and James were laughing and hanging on the sides of it while Ekans wrapped himself on the rear of the structure, with Koffing hastily chasing the wooden structure. Meowth stood on top of the stone, in control of the cart.

"Nice guys always-" Jessie started.

"Finish last!" James finished.

"We just went from worst to first!" Meowth said, proud of their little heist.

Just then, Onix sprung up from the ground in front of them, close enough to make sure there was no time to dodge, causing the entire thing to crash into the stone serpent.

"Nice work, Onix!" Brock said, running up to the criminals along with his friends. "Grab them!"

Onix surged forwards, intending to use Wrap on the entire gang.

"Koffing, Tackle!" James ordered quickly.

Koffing rammed his entire body into Onix's head, forcing him away from his team. While the damage from the Normal Type attack was minimal, it did prevent the Rock Type from trapping his enemies.

"What the-?" Cinder said, seeing Seymour's Aura suddenly pop up from the same place Onix appeared from, quickly followed by multiple Cleffa and Clefairy.

"What's going on?!" Meowth yelled as the Rockets were surrounded by the collection of Fairy Types.

The only answer they gave was a rhythmic waggling of their fingers, going back and forth.

"What are they doing?" Jessie asked, more confused and weirded out than anything else.

"Waving their fingers." An equally confused James said.

"Metronome." Cinder breathed, already sensing the chaotic Aura building up within the Fairy Types.

What happened next could only be described as sheer pandemonium, as each of the Cleffa and Clefairy started doing something different. Shooting blasts of fire or water, kicking with various effects, punches coated within the elements, shrinking, glaring, biting, the Fairy Types did it all. There was even a Hyper Beam and an Explosion thrown into the mix, destroying the Moon Stone and launching Team Rocket away.

"Well, it looks like Team Rocket is-" Jessie started.

"Blasting off again!" James finished.

"Stupid Metronome!" Meowth yelled, parts of him both frozen and burnt as he flew with the knocked out Koffing and Ekans.

"I give it two thumbs down!" Jessie said.

"Me too!" James agreed.

"Me three!" Meowth also agreed as he and his team were flung over the horizon.

Meanwhile, back on the ground, Cinder stood in amazement at the chaos and destruction caused by the Cleffa and Clefairy, watching the trace amounts of Aura within the fragments of the Moon Stone dropping down.

"The Moon Stone." Seymour said in grief.

Some of the fragments fell down on some Clefairy, causing them to glow and change shape. When the transformation was done, several Pokémon stood in the places of the Clefairy, each looking like a larger version of their previous form and triggering Cinder's Pokédex.

"Clefable, the Fairy Pokémon and the final evolved form of Cleffa. A Fairy Type.

Abilities: Cute Charm and Magic Guard

Hidden Ability: Power Above

Entry: This Pokémon is a timid creature that flees when it senses people approaching, and its sensitive ears can distinctly hear a pin drop from one kilometer away. Because of its acute hearing it prefers to live in quiet mountains.

Evolves from: Clefairy with a Moon Stone"

"The power of the Moon Stone did this." Seymour said, watching as the Clefable happily chatted with their pre-evolved counterparts.

XXXXXXXX

Later that night, when all the remaining fragments of the Moon Stone were gathered back in the cave, the Fairy Types continued their ritual, dancing around their horde.

"I think I might stay here, and live with the Clefairy." The mad scientist said to his young friends.

Cinder blinked. "I'm all for leaving humanity behind and start living with the Pokémon, but why?"

"It's been my life's dream to find the Moon Stone so I could someday travel to the stars with the Cleffa, Clefairy and Clefable."

"Okay…" Misty said slowly.

Then, one of the Clefairy walked up to them, the same Clefairy that Pikachu had befriended. "Clefairy, Clefairy." She said, pointing at one of the Luxury Balls hanging from Cinder's belt.

"Wait, you want to travel with me?" Cinder asked.

"Fairy." Clefairy nodded.

Cinder smiled and crouched down, holding a Luxury Ball in her hand. "Welcome to the team, Clefairy."

Clefairy tapped the button, and got sucked in with no resistance. Then she released herself again, holding out the Moon Stone she carried into the cave in the first place for her new trainer.

"Thank you, Clefairy. I promise that you'll get it whenever you wish to evolve." Cinder smiled, carefully putting the evolution stone into her bag.

"Fairy!" Cinder's Clefairy waved her new trainer over, beckoning her to follow her deeper into the caves.

The humans all followed the Clefairy into a little nest deeper into the mountain, obviously this Clefairy's nest. There was not much of note, aside from two stones within the nest itself, which Clefairy grabbed and offered to Cinder.

"Those are fossils." Brock said. "A Dome fossil and a Helix fossil. They're in good condition to boot."

Cinder gratefully took the fossils, already eager to see if she'd be able to revive them someday. She remembered what Flint told her back in the museum, and wondered how long she'd have to wait to be able to hug a Kabuto and an Omanyte.

XXXXXXXX

The travelers decided to stay the night in the caves, and started leaving in the morning, waving to Seymour and the Fairy Types surrounding him. "So long, Seymour!" Cinder waved to the man. "Goodbye Cleffa, Clefairy and Clefable!"

"Fairy!" Cinder's Clefairy waved to her friends, saying she'll see them again some day.

"Goodbye Cinder!" Seymour said. "Thank you all!"

Once they were out of earshot, Cinder couldn't help but ask her friends something. "Do you guys think he'll figure out some day that the Moon Stone is not a spaceship?"

Misty thought about it for a moment. "Nah, he's a nutter."

Some time later, the group approached a fork in the road. "Cerulean City." Brock said, looking at the sign pointing at the right path of Route 4. "Well, I guess we're headed the right way, at least."

Misty started looking down, unnoticed by her companions.

"There's something else scribbled here too." Brock said, looking at a scribble on the sign.

"Eh, it's likely just graffiti." Cinder said. "Back in Pallet Town, kids always do that to the signs when they're bored."

"Yeah, well, this one says that some guy named Gary was here." Brock said slowly. "It also says that you're a loser."

Cinder only facepalmed. "Goddamnit, Gary." She said, tired of her bully's childish antics.

And that's a wrap. The Moon Stone got destroyed and its fragments caused many Clefairy to evolve, and Brock caught his Zubat. And Cleffa also makes an early appearance, as it just made sense to me to include it.

I also decided to give Cinder the Clefairy that Pikachu befriended, as well as a Moon Stone and a few fossils. And for those of you who are wondering about Power Above, look it up on the Tofrug's Swamp Wiki from which it came.
