(The Return of Cynthia)

*November 14th, 1941*

*12:12pm*

*Highlands High School*

Cynthia had smiled as she walked across the audition room and proceeded to make her way out of the area and there, she had seen Anya chatting with Charlotte and Emma.

"There she is! I had a feelin she was gonna help with the Talent show" Cynthia had thought to herself as she smiled and proceeded to walk towards her friend which was noticed by Anya who greeted her with excitement.

"Cynthia?! How's things been for you? It's wonderful seeing you again" Anya had spoken out to her friend as she and Cynthia gave each other a warm hug while Charlotte and Emma watched with smiles on their faces.

"I've been doin great and I just figured that I'd come and pay you a visit and see how my buddies were doing" Cynthia had responded back as she looked over and smiled at Charlotte and Emma as she began to speak to them.

"And how have you two ladies been doin? Are things between you guys goin well? I sure hope so" Cynthia had asked her two friends while giving them hugs as Emma began to speak back.

"It's great seeing you and I believe we haven't properly met but my name is Emma and I've heard so much about you from Anya and Nancy and I hope we can be good friends" Emma had introduced herself as she and Cynthia gave each other a handshake.

"Correct, I was pretendin to be Anya for a day so we never did had a proper meetin but I'm Cynthia and I hope we can be friends as well" Cynthia had spoken back introductions as both girls continued to shake hands for a few seconds before letting go as Charlotte began to speak.

"To be fair, your southern accent did give it away and I've also heard about you as well beforehand but I didn't want to push the issue any further" Charlotte had spoken to Cynthia while chuckling to herself as this made her smile as she began to speak once more.

"My accent? Did it really give it away? I'm quite surprised since I thought people wouldn't notice but I guess that what happens if you are raised in Mississippi for your entire life" Cynthia had spoken back while laughing to herself as she suddenly felt her stomach growling which was heard by Anya.

"You must be hungry, right? Well, you can have half of my sandwich if you want and we can also catch up in the meantime as well" Anya had advised her friend as this made Cynthia smile once more as she sat down on the lunch table alongside Charlotte and Emma.

"I would love it too and thanks, I've kinda been on a fast for my model shoots but one little sandwich and water wouldn't hurt and either way, I'm still beautiful!" Cynthia had spoken out while chucking to herself as she accepted the half sandwich and began to eat it which she enjoyed very much.

"So, do you plan on being on the talent show tonight? I've seen your other friends audition and they did wonderful and I've figured you'll do the same thing" Cynthia had asked Anya while still chewing the food in her mouth while she waited for an answer as Anya began to speak back.

"Me? Nah, I'm gonna watch the talent show but maybe I'll join next year but I was just setting up this year, you?" Anya had answered back as she grabbed her sandwich and began to take a bite from it as she was met with Cynthia shrugging her shoulders much to her surprise.

"I don't know, that's a secret! So you gotta bring your ass to the talent show and find out" Cynthia had answered back in a playful tone of voice which made Anya, Emma, and Charlotte chuckle back as Anya began to speak once more.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely be attending the talent show and if you are performing then I hope you break a leg or two and you deserve it" Anya had spoken back to Cynthia while giving her a thumbs up which made her smile.

"Thank you, anyways, has Judith given you trouble in the last few days? I've talked to Mrs Miller and she's been sayin that her daughter hasn't really been talkin to her recently so I'm guessing Judith is still angry due to her plans failin" Cynthia had asked Anya once more in a curious tone of voice as she was met with her friend shaking her head in denial much to the relief of Cynthia.

"I see, well, I'm glad to hear that and I have a feelin Judith isn't the type to give up so easily so just be on your guard, okay?" Cynthia had advised her friend as Anya nodded her head in understandment.

"Got it, but to change the subject, how's Robert and Mrs Miller been doing? It's been awhile since I've seen them and I hope they're doing good" Anya had spoken back to Cynthia in a curious tone of voice as her friend began to speak in a happy tone of voice.

"They're doing quite well these days and me and Robert have been spending some quality time together and it's been rather nice…" Cynthia had responded back while smiling to herself at the memories of her experiences with Robert as this made Anya and the others smile warmly.

"I'm glad to hear that, It makes me happy to see my friends doing good" Anya had spoken back as she took a sip of water from her bottle as Charlotte began to speak to her friends.

"Oh yeah, I was also thinking of inviting Mary to the talent show but I gotta talk to Mrs Harrison and see if she's gonna be okay with it and her birthday is also coming up as well so I do wanna do something" Charlotte had spoken out to her friends as this caught the attention of everyone in the group.

"Mary? Is she the orphan you've been talkin about? I did recall you mentionin her when I was impersonatin Anya" Cynthia had asked Charlotte in a curious tone of voice as she was met with the girl nodding her head in confirmation.

"Correct, we've been friends for a few months now and I do want her to feel as welcome to the group as possible and it's the least I can do" Charlotte had answered back as this made Cynthia smile warmly at this statement.

"Wonderful and when is her birthday? If it's at a decent time then I might just drop by and visit" Cynthia had asked Charlotte while stretching as she waited for an answer.

"It's December 25th meaning it's on Christmas but I can understand if you can't make it and I'm sure she'll love a birthday card or something" Charlotte had answered back as this made Cynthia let out a sigh of relief.

"Christmas? I can definitely visit at that time so I'll definitely be here to support her! No matter what" Cynthia had responded back in a joyful tone of voice as this made Charlotte smile as Anya began to speak.

"Christmas is almost here, crazy how time flies by and once this talent show is over then winter break will really almost be here" Anya had spoken out to her friends as the girls nodded their heads in agreement.

"I agree, I just hope that Allison, Russell, and Carrie are able to perform without any fear or judgment" Emma had chimed into the conversation while Cynthia remained confident.

"Oh, they'll definitely knock it out of the park! Especially Allison. Just y'all wait and see!" Cynthia had spoken back in a confident tone of voice while Anya watched the entire conversation unfold before her eyes.

"I have a feeling that this year's talent show is gonna be quite interesting and knowing Cynthia, she might have a few surprises up her sleeve…" Anya had thought to herself as she let out a smirk of confidence as she was eagering awaiting for what was to come.
