4th of Tarsakh:

Today, thankfully, was just a day of travel, which gave us the chance to talk and get to know more about each other. And of course, the conversation turned to our fight. Everyone praised Israel's magical prowess, turning his face as red as his hair.

Yukouth and Adrala turned the conversation to axe fighting to take the spotlight off Israel.

Elisha joined in and asked, "Where did you learn to throw axes like that?"

"Grammy taught me to fight with axes. You should see her throw! It would be an honor to reach Grammy's skills one day."

"Yes, your grandmother has quite the skill with throwing axes." Yukouth stated, "She has taught you well."

Adrala blushed and beamed, "Oh thank you! She's an excellent teacher and I'm honored to embody her teachings. I've spent many hours practicing in hopes of honoring my family."

Israel spoke up then, "What happens if you throw all of them and don't have any left?"

She tipped her head to look up at him, "Well, I always keep one in my hand, and then I just pick up the others as I move along."

"What if you didn't have to go pick them up? I've read about warriors whose weapons magically return to them."

"Oh. I never thought of that. Part of the skill is learning to retrieve them on the move… But to know I could throw my last handaxe if needed, and then have it return to me. That would be exceptional! When we're in Thornhold, if there's time, would you help me research these warriors? Maybe you could even help me learn their magic."

"I would be honored to assist you," Israel said as if swearing an oath, which seemed odd since he's never spoken of dwarven honor or traditions in this way before. Usually, he's just sharing his vast knowledge with us.

Talk turned to what we each planned to do once we returned to Thornhold.

I want to do some research about Velsharoon and his followers. I hope to find out anything I can so we're not walking into this fight blind. Never in my life have I wished for a dream or guidance from Marat more than now. But I know they will help when they feel they should, and not a moment before.

Elisha said he would get us resupplied, and I asked to see if he could get us some healing potions. I realized while I held Elisha's life in my hands, that I can't always expect Kelemvor to help me keep my companions alive.

And Yukouth told us he had family matters to tend to.

We planned to meet up for dinner to discuss plans for investigating Iniarv's Tower.

Hopefully, tomorrow is also a quiet day on the road.
