'Thought'
'Boon hasn't reported back to me yet...'
Blake was in very deep thought
'It's so unlike her, I know she's alive and isn't harmed in any way, not to mention I know she found my son already.'
Blake's thoughts and thinking ran so deep that she didn't bother to pay attention to the struggling demon that she held by the neck with a single hand; this did cause her guardians to look on with concern and slight fear.
'Yet, why isn't she coming back with Nero?...'
Blake then crushed the throat of the demon, killing it instantly and was about to walk off after dropping the body, though she was quickly stopped by a voice reaching out to her.
"U-Um, my Lady."
Belladonna turned around and faced Circe, who flinched somewhat, but still looked her in the eyes as she tried to speak with her.
"I… I know your Son is in danger, and I want to help as much as I can to find and save him, but, well-"
"You need to calm down and let us handle it, no point of bringing us if you're gonna do all the work."
Though Circe was trying to be more mindful and tactful, Maestro Forte just plainly said whatever was on his, and mostly others', minds, which did make the others glare at him for his bluntness; though they did silently agree with what he said, which Belladonna noticed.
"... You're right, I should calm down…"
Blake sighed, as she then walked back to them and stood at the center, yet behind them, looking at them all with a smile.
"Please protect me while I rest for a moment."
As soon as Blake decided to rely on and use her Royal Nyx, everyone couldn't help but look excited and happy about it, most especially The Rose Of Elysium, who politely bowed before her.
"Leave everything to us my Lady!~"
Circe, along with the rest of the Loyal Knights, wasted no time in trying to prove their worth, rushing forward and starting to slay all the new demonic grunts that suddenly appeared, leaving behind their Mistress, who simply stood back and watched them do their job.
'I'm not alone in this, I can rely on them, I need to rely on them, for their benefit and more importantly my own.'
As Blake tried to remind herself that she needed to be stronger and let her family help her when she needed it, she was cut off when she noticed a cup of tea being handed to her.
"A cup of my special tea will calm any nerves you might have."
Angela gave Belladonna a gentle, calm smile as she offered the tea; which she took and returned the smile to her personal Battle Maid, taking a sip from the drink and allowing it to both relax her body and help her remember something.
'My first maid, besides Dante and my ex teammates, she was the only one to truly help me in my time of need.'
/Flashback \
"Are you our new maid?"
Credo had just opened the front door and was now looking up at his supposed new maid, who was none other than Angela Lansbury, though she seemed to be younger than before, around late 20s or early 30s.
"Yes, my name is Angela Lansbury, am I to presume that you are the son of Lady Beradon'na?"
The young boy nods in response to Angela's question; he then opens the door fully and allows the newly hired maid to enter the mansion
"Please, let me take your bags to your room."
Credo decided to give a helping hand and took the bags off her, which she smiled at him for being so kind.
"Thank you my boy, so, where is my Mistress that I am suppose to be serving today?"
Angela, after giving her thanks and gratitude to the young boy, started looking and walking around the mansion, curious as to where her boss was who had hired her.
"Mother is currently taking care of my newborn brother."
Credo quickly explained what had happened and where his mother was, which Lansbury nodded in understanding.
"Then I shall see if she needs assistance, unless you are in need of my services first?"
"No thank you ma'am, I am busy taking care of my younger sister, so please help my mother first."
After Credo politely declined the helpful offer, Angela simply bowed and began to walk off in the direction of where her new Mistress was, it took her a moment to find the room as she saw the light was on.
"Ah, Lady Beradon'na, it is I, your new hired servant, Angela Lansbury, I just arrived and is-"
Angela was about to introduce herself and get ready to serve, but immediately stopped when she saw the inside of the room she had just entered.
"Oh dear…"
Inside the room that Angela just entered, she was met with a big mess, nothing too unbearable or horrible, but it was clear that there was panic and struggle that took place here, with baby toys, clothes, diapers, empty bottles, and other baby-related stuff just all over the place. Luckily, she didn't have to worry about guessing what or why this all happened; her answer was currently sitting on a rocking chair, with a sleeping newborn baby in her arms that she held protectively. She could tell that she had a rough day, judging from her messy hair, bags under her eyes, and her dirty, unkept clothes.
"Heh, I understand your struggle, Madame."
Angela gave a sympathetic look to her new Mistress, Bureiku Beradon'na, aka Blake Belladonna, and due to her own sympathy and kindness, she decided to do something about it
"Come on Lady Beradon'na, time for you to get some well deserved rest."
Angela then did everything that she could to help her mistress, first by taking her out of the messy room and into a more comfortable area, which did wake up Bureiku Beradon'na, though she was clearly too tired to fight back, so the maid was allowed to continue with what she was doing, like getting her out of her dirty clothes, using a rag and a large bucket of warm water to gently clean her nude body, plus comb her hair just enough to look nice. Once she was cleaned and dressed in clothes meant for sleeping, Blake was finally put to bed, allowing her to finally relax and officially rest, any tension being let go and all that was left was her holding her baby close to herself, wearing a peaceful expression, which did make her new servant smile in satisfaction.
"So young, yet you no doubt experience way too much despite that."
Angela couldn't help but sigh sadly at that, however that didn't stop her from giving a small warm smile, grabbing the blanket and carefully covering her Lady, and once her job was done in making her Mistress comfortable, she turned away and started to walk off, no doubt to continue her job as maid, though before she left the room, she gave one last glance at Blake Belladonna.
"I promise to make your life a comfortable one, because someone like you obviously deserves it…"
/End Flashback\
"Your tea is lovely as always, Angela."
Back in the present, while the group was still traveling to find Nero, Blake, who looked relaxed and calm, was just enjoying her moment with Lansbury, returning her tea cup back to her.
"I'm always happy to be at your service ma'am."
Angela grabbed the cup and allowed it to disappear, before bowing to her Lady, no doubt satisfied to once again be able to help Bureiku in any way that she could, which caused her to smile in response.
'I have no idea how I would've stayed sane without her~...'
However, before Blake could continue to feel, well, in a good mood in general, it was suddenly stopped when she realized where she was at now; as she, as well as the entire team of the Royal Nyx, noticed a large area covered in flames.
"Oh my…"
A few of the Holy Knights couldn't help but gasp and be in shock from what they were seeing, before one of them, specifically Jerry Orbach, used his ability to absorb all the fire in the area, leaving everything less flammable; however, after the fire was gone, Beradonna slowly walked up to the remains of the burnt area, and she knelt down before something that caught her attention - a stuffed animal toy. She wanted to reach out to grab it, but a simple touch suddenly turned it into a pile of ashes.
"L-Lady B-"
"We need to move it… Now…"
Circe wanted to call out to Blake, but quickly silenced herself when she saw the once calm and cool cat, had instantly reverted back to someone who was not happy and serious again, much to the disappointment of Angela, who sighed with a frown and shook her head lightly.
"She's gonna need more tea…"
I wanted to show that Blake is changing, she wants to change and just be happy, though this whole situation is definitely not helping her.
(Extra info about the relationship between Angela Lansbury and Blake Belladonna, it could be described as Sister and Sister, or even Mother and Daughter, I say this because even though Blake has her friends and family, she still needs a parental figure or something similar, like sure she has experience a lot, and you could argue that she was basically already a adult, but keep in mind that she is like 17-19 in DMC 3-1, again basically a adult, but also still technically a child, a child who has nearly died, got hurt so many times, emotionally and physically, and is now a single mother, with a father that she accidentally killed by her own hands, yeah, might be a bit demeaning to say this, but our Kittens needs her Mama to crawl back to and hug, of course the relationship is much more complex, but this is the basic on how Blake and Angela are)
