A/N:...hey. Still not in the best mental state, but I'm getting there.
Should this be a story? Yes? No? Maybe so? By all means, speak up! Make yourself heard. Oh, and best brace yourself.
Because no one ever did it, and I thought to myself, why not; this was...well, the concept for an idea that never quite got off the ground.
As ever, I own no references, quotes, memes or themes. Not a wit or a one.
I'm just a humble author trying to make his way in this wild world.
Reviews have, and always will be, all I ever receive...
"Fate is like a coin toss. Sometimes you get heads.

...tails."
~An Alternate Universe.
Green-Eyed Monster
"You...traitor...
"Its nothing personal, Ozpin. You were always destined to lose here. While I...
Her blade inched closer to his chest, pushing past his grip. Then it slammed through. The headmaster shuddered on the floor beneath her, eyes widening in shock and horror. It was a mortal wound. She'd pierced his lung twice over and torn it open; there could be no recovering from such an injury. Even with his strange abilities he was finished.
Burning green eyes gazed down upon him, trailing jade flames.
...simply found a higher calling. And this?" she gave the blade a wrench, relishing as he shuddered. "This is checkmate."
It was a glorious thing to finally drop the act; to do away with her fake smile and kind words. Here at last, in his final moments, the headmaster of Beacon saw the monster she truly was. He saw the truth and knew what she had wrought; that every moment, every single second he'd known her...why, it was all a lie. But no longer.
Here at last? She was free.
The infiltration had been flawless. No one had ever suspected her...or her friends. And why would they? She'd given them no reason to.
High above them, Beacon burned. Their defenders fell to Blake and the White Fang as the Grimm rampaged on. The might of Atlas turned on itself thanks to a clever virus, hand-delivered to Ironwood's flagship by Penny herself. As for the Power? The might of the Fall Maiden? Well. Ozpin's precious applicant lay limp in her coffin, eyes wide in death as she gazed down at the sword jutting from her chest. Naruto had done his work well in that regard. Poor girl. She'd never seen her end coming. Perhaps that was a mercy.
It was always those you trusted most who hurt you the worst.
"Pyrrha! Stop playing with your food." a low voice called near the entrance to the vault. "Finish him."
She stiffened but a little at her Master's call.
...yes, sir."
Her blade scythed down one last time and the immortal breathed his last. If he had any last words of wisdom, any parting taunts for her, he didn't give them. Only a broken wheeze of laughter. He would return, of course. He always did. What was one more death among many? She'd kill him as many time as needed. She certainly could now. She was unstoppable. Salem would reward her well for this.
Pyrrha Nikos stood, pulled her blade free from the his chest and walked away.
"Count yourself lucky." a burning green iris glared over her shoulder. "A swift death is better than what you deserve."
The new Maiden spared one last glance at the ruined vault.
A cruel smile curled at her lips.
"I'm not sorry...
She found Naruto waiting near the entrance, tending to Nora's wounds.
"Ow!" their resident grenadier hissed. "Not so tight! That hurts, damnit! Are ya tryin' ta kill me?!"
"Don't be such a baby." the shinobi chided her as she approached. "You only lost an arm. I'll reattach it soon enough. Here." Even as he spoke he bound the mangled limb back together with a bit of black cloth and placed a marked hand upon the wound. Said hand pulsed, the cloth came away, and
"Let's go. Ren's waiting with the payload-
Without word or warning, the elevator doors clicked open.
Golden eyes met hers, brimming with resolve. They didn't belong to Blake.
Naruto sighed. "Well, saw that coming...
"And so the Heroine comes to save the day." Pyrrha planted her feet with a put upon sigh and cocked her head like a wary she-wolf. You never give up, do you." She planted one fist on her hip. "Its over. You've lost. Tell me where he hid the Relic and this can all be over. Or you can die here for a pointless cause. Its your choice. Or did you not learn from last time?"
A moment of silence passed between the two women, broken only by the muffled chaos from above.
Cinder Fall drew her blades and waded in to meet her death. "I've always been a slow learner."
Pyrrha scoffed. "You'll die! My power has doubled since we last met!"
The dead woman didn't waver. She went with a smile.
...twice the pride, double the fall."
A/N: Well, that's an alternate universe for ya.
Like I said, just a fragment.
Felt good to clear my head like that. Hope you enjoyed it.
Do you want this to be a story? Yes? No? Maybe so? Make yourselves heard!
Aaaand there we go. As ever, reviews keep me alive. Without them, I cannot write. So...in the Immortal Words of Atlas...
...Review...Would You Kindly? And have some previews -potential blot bin things- that I'm working on.
(Previews)
Weapon Masters of Remnant (NarutoxTenten? Still a Scrap idea for now.
"Forget going home! So! Many! Weapons! I need them all!"
Naruto slapped a hand to his forehead. "Why do I have to be the voice of reason here?
Sometimes...you have to fight evil with evil.
